Tyler The Creator Admits That One Of His New Songs ‘Does Not Hit Live At All’

A couple weeks ago, Tyler The Creator took the stage at the BET Awards to perform “Lumberjack,” a standout from his new album Call Me If You Get Lost. There’s one song from the album, though, that we may never see Tyler perform on TV, and that’s “Juggernaut,” as Tyler thinks the Lil Uzi Vert- and Pharrell-featuring song “does not hit live at all.”

This morning, Tyler patted himself on the back on Twitter, writing of a highlight from his new album, “massa is really good.” He then continued, though, by noting that while he believes that song works well in a live setting, “Juggernaut” does not. Tyler tweeted, “massa live is great too. intense, intimate. audience can just absorb. no jumping or yelling. im able to vent. its nice. juggernaut on the other hand does not hit live at all. was shocking as hell but the more i thought about it the more it made sense.”

Meanwhile, in response to the first tweet, a fan bought up the “Massa” lyric in which Tyler notes Pharrell’s (aka Skateboard P) impact on him: “My boy Skateboard P gave me that speech in Italy session / Thankfully, by hour three that detour perspective / Thoughts change so rapid, turn into a butterfly, Flower Boy happened.” Tyler responded by elaborating, “thats when the switch happened. that talk he had with me man. sheeesh.”

Wizkid Announces “Made In Lagos” Tour

Coming off the success of his star-studded LP, Made In LagosWizkid has announced its accompanying tour.

The North American leg starts on September 10 in Boston, and will provide 17 opportunities for fans to watch the Nigerian-bred artist live nationwide. Although the Starboy label head has been around for nearly a decade, he is perhaps still best known for his appearance on “One Dance” back in 2016, which isn’t hard to believe accounting for its unavoidability that summer.

Cardi B Shows How She Masterfully Hides Her Baby Bump

Cardi B revealed to the world at the BET Awards that she’s expecting her second child with rapper Offset. The shocking moment came while the Migos were performing, inviting Cardi up on stage to rap her verse from “Type Shit.” She showed off her baby bump for the first time, instantly becoming a trend on social media with fans lighting up over the incredible news.

While this will likely delay Cardi’s plans to release a new album and tour the world, she has said on a few occasions that she wants to have a second child with Offset, marking a very special moment in their lives. She’s been flaunting her jaw-dropping maternity pictures on Instagram for the last week but on TikTok, she showed how she’s been successfully hiding her pregnancy, using the “How would they know?” audio and dressing in a skintight ensemble.

Looking at the camera head-on, Cardi B completely normal in her outfit before turning to the side and revealing her small bump, effectively finessing people and proving that she can be pretty deceptive when she wants to be.

Maybe DaniLeigh has been taking tips from Cardi… the entire world is convinced that she’s currently pregnant with DaBaby’s baby but she hasn’t said a peep. Could she be taking the Cardi way of hiding her pregnancy, or are people just overreacting?

N.O.R.E Celebrates His Self-Titled Debut: “My Favorite Album Of All Time”

There are, generally speaking, two types of artist. Those who want nothing to do with their own music, and those that keep it on steady rotation. It would appear that Noreaga, legendary emcee and host of the Drink Champs podcast, falls into the latter camp. As it happens, N.O.R.E’s favorite album of all time happens to be one of his own — his 1998 self-titled debut solo project, which turns twenty-three today.

Boasting songs like the incredible posse cut “Banned From TV” with Nature, Cam’ron, Styles P, Jadakiss & Big Pun, as well as guest verses from Kool G Rap, Busta Rhymes, and Nas, the project went a long way in establishing Noreaga as a solo artist following his work alongside Capone. In addition, the project featured production from Swizz Beatz, The Neptunes, Dame Grease, and Trackmasters.

“Happy birthday to my favorite album of all time,” writes N.O.R.E, taking to Instagram to celebrate the milestone occasion. “I so proud of u N.O.R.E July .7 1998!!! When I became a movie not just a rapper!!! I became a walking movie !!!”

Considering how often N.O.R.E gives his fellow artists their flowers, it’s important not to forget about his own substantial body of work. After all, he’s blessed us with many classic tunes, and it would be wise to circle back to where it all began. At least, on the solo front; his incredibly raw and grimy work in CNN should also be prioritized by any aspiring hip-hop historian.

Happy birthday to Noreaga’s N.O.R.E, a project that deserves far more appreciation than it currently receives. Show some love to the Drink Champs legend in the comments below.

Black TikTok User Calls Out App For Censoring Pro Black Content

TikTok has quickly become the app of choice for many young content creators. The impressive algorithm allows everyday users to go viral without an enormous following, giving the app its charm. Additionally, the app has quickly become the premier destination for breaking new artists into the music industry.

In recent weeks, the app has come under fire for its treatment of Black content creators, who can be credited for creating many of the app’s viral dance challenges. Now, the app is being called out by another Black user for its unfair treatment of Black content creators, censoring their content while not doing the same with white creators who do the same thing.

“If I go into the creator marketplace and I put supporting white supremacy and I hit accept, it’s okay and it lets me have my ads and revenue. But god forbid let me put ‘Black Lives Matters on there,” juxtaposes the creator in the TikTok exposé.

“Watch, it’s a threat. Boom, innapropiate content. Can’t say that. I cannot say Black people, this is my screen recording and this is why I’m pissed the f*ck off, we’re tired, we’re tired. Okay, Black success. Boom, inappropriate content. Anything Black related is inappropriate content. Black, can’t say it, but let’s take that out of the equation. ‘White success,’ the same thing, it’s allowed. ‘Pro white,’ ‘white voices,’ it’s accepted, $500,” he explained further, showing the monetization differences.

“But when I say pro-Black, a threat,” he adds further. The exposé sparked further criticism from users who subsequently demanded answers from the Chinese company.

Wack 100 Calls Meek Mill A Coward After Dissing DJ Akademiks

Wack 100 seemingly still isn’t the biggest fan of Meek Mill, dissing the rapper after he commented on Mysonne’s post about hip-hop blogger DJ Akademiks being a “cancer” in the community. Meek has had issues with Akademiks in recent years, asking the commentator not to post about him and calling him a “bum ass n***a” this week for his remarks about King Von’s suspected killer Lul Tim. The Game’s manager Wack 100 noticed Meek’s comment and went off in response, suggesting that Ak would be confronting the rapper very soon.

“Shit sadddd! Bum ass n***a,” wrote Meek Mill on Mysonne’s post about DJ Akademiks. “@meekmill let’s hope when @akademiks runs up on you, you don’t scream he has the police. Once again speaking when you know you ain’t gone do shit! #Coward,” responded Wack 100.

Wack 100 had a moment where he incessantly dissed Meek Mill on social media for the way he handled his run-in with Tekashi 6ix9ine earlier this year. According to Wack, 6ix9ine walked away from their parking lot confrontation with the win, asserting that Meek lost their argument. Then, after one of Meek’s songs leaked referencing Kobe Bryant’s death, Wack called out the rapper again.

Check out the latest wrinkle in their multi-layered beef below and let us know what you think. Will DJ Akademiks pull up on Meek Mill? Ak previously said that he wants nothing to do with the street life, so it’s unlikely.
