Lil Durk Promotes India Royale’s Cosmetics On Nicki Minaj’s IG Live

If there’s one thing about Lil Durk, you know he’s going to ride for his girl. On Drake’s song “In The Bible,” Smurk spends time promoting his girlfriend India Royale’s cosmetics brand in his lyrics, noting that Drake’s songs always end up getting over a billion streams, so he’s using his feature to elevate her company. Popping up on Nicki Minaj’s Instagram Live on Thursday night, Durkio continued his promotional streak, using Nicki’s platform to hawk India’s cosmetics again, and promising to send a care package in the mail.

Before jumping on the live stream, Lil Durk commented on the page and told Nicki, “Ima gone send you some of India cosmetics [blue heart] ima say it first.” When Nicki invited Durk to join her in the video, he spoke about India’s plans for Valentine’s Day before Nicki complained that the Chicago rapper never sends her any of India’s products. It sounds like Durk and India have been meaning to send some things Nicki’s way, and they’ll make it a priority now that she’s pointed it out. Sometimes, it pays to be blunt.

It’s refreshing to see Durk riding so hard for his girl. With India’s business continuing to boom, Durk is getting all of his friends on board, making sure the hip-hop community is well aware that India is getting all the girls looking right all year round.

Justine Skye Continues To Fire Shots At Giveon On Twitter

Celebrity breakups generally go one of two ways.

Either both parties both come out and say that it was mutual and that they wish the best for each other, or, it can get ugly. And in the case of Justine Skye and Giveon, it is getting ugly.

After Skye let off a handful of tweets a couple of nights ago, including, “I really hate the person I let myself become, but I know I want to be better and I cannot wait for that day,” and “People will break you down to the last bone and then ask why you can’t stand on your own,” and “Cheaters gonna cheat, Liars gonna lie, Users gonna use,” the 26-year-old hopped back on Twitter last night with one last message.

“Trust me, ain’t no turnin back,” Skye tweeted. “Lame ass, broke ass, miss me with that. Period.”

In what seems to be a final nail in the coffin in her relationship with the Chicago singer, Skye took a couple last digs at Giveon, calling him lame and broke.

Giveon, who has yet to publicly comment on the obvious turmoil between he and Skye, is coming off a 2021 that saw the “Heartbreak Anniversary” singer land a Grammy nomination for his album Take Time, a smash radio hit with Justin Bieber and Daniel Caesar on “Peaches” and another feature on a Drake record, appearing on Drizzy’s “In The Bible” alongside Lil Durk.

Whether or not the whirlwind that has been Giveon’s rise to stardom since first appearing on “Chicago Freestyle” in early 2020 is the reason for his and Skye’s breakup has yet to be confirmed, but one thing is clear — Justine Skye is completely done with him.

What do you think of Skye’s final shot at Giveon? Let us know in the comments.

Fans Shoot Their Shot At Flo Milli After She Shares Hilarious Relationship Advice From Gunna

The weather is getting colder every day, which means that cuffing season is quickly approaching. Earlier this week, Ho, why is you here ? rapper Flo Milli took to Twitter to share some relationship advice with her followers.

“Gunna told me if a n*gga ain’t ready to drink my bath water he ain’t for me,” the 21-year-old posted on October 12th.

gunna told me if a nigga ain’t ready to drink my bath water he ain’t for me😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

— FLO MILLI (@_FloMilli) October 13, 2021

Depending which side of Twitter you’re on, you may have already heard people joke about “drinking bath water” to express their thirst for someone. From the sounds of things, Gunna is telling Flo Milli that she needs a man who would be dedicated and obsessed enough to guzzle back a glass of hers.

Obviously drinking bath water isn’t for most people, but a few brave souls took this opportunity to let the Alabama native know that they would gladly consume hers with some funny memes in the replies.

“Can I at least run it through my Brita,” one viewer joked.

Another responded with a screenshot of a Google search that reads, “where can I get a pint of Flo Milli’s bath water?”

The “Not Friendly” rapper may be unlucky in love for now, but she’s certainly been earning herself plenty of attention as of late, especially after she arrived at New York Fashion Week in a bold but sheer number, leaving little to the imagination.

My Favorite Color Drops Off New Single “MAYDAY”

My Favorite Color has been one of the most slept on names in hip-hop for a while now.

Hailing from Pittsburgh but based in Los Angeles, the Rostrum Records signee has been dropping some of the most poignant and well-put-together rap music for the better part of four years and is finally starting to buzz, racking up more than 120K YouTube views on his last record “Old News” and recently landed a spot on Pigeons & Planes Best New Artist list.

Today, My Favorite Color came through with a new single “MAYDAY” and gets straight into it.

Rapping about jumping off the porch with nothing but a plan, My Favorite Color spits with an intense, matter-of-fact flow from the jump and attacks the mic until the very end. Meshing comedic instincts and political skepticism, as well as references from Chief Keef’s “Hate Being Sober” to Boy Meets World‘s heartthrob, Topanga Lawrence, My Favorite Color paints a picture of a man on a mission with more than enough charisma to complete that mission however he needs to.

Quotable Lyrics
Rockets with me like Clint
You’ll fly high and you’ll get propellers
No he say, no she say
We gon’ spray your instant message
Life is a daydream
I been drunk all night so I day drink
‘Cause I hate being sober like Sosa

Young Thug Reunites With J. Cole, Juice WRLD, And Mac Miller On His New Album, ‘Punk’

In keeping with the modern trend in hip-hop, Young Thug’s newly released second(!) album, Punk, is a star-studded affair on which the trap experimentalist is accompanied by a plethora of guests from across the genre. However, unlike his previous release, So Much Fun, he expands the range of artists he taps to help him fill time, including newcomers like ASAP Rocky, Doja Cat, and Mac Miller among his frequent collaborators like Drake, Gunna, and Future. He also reunites with J. Cole, Juice WRLD, and Post Malone after working with them on some of their biggest singles.

Thug, who officially kicked off the promotion for his latest album with his first-ever NPR Tiny Desk Concert alongside rock drummer Travis Barker, rolled out the album in a most unusual way, only releasing one single, “Tick Tock,” and playing new songs at places like Givenchy’s Paris Fashion Week show and in the backseats of Lyft drivers’ cars. And speaking of cars, his release party stunt of trashing a brand-new Rolls-Royce with baseball bats alongside Gunna and Metro Boomin drew both attention and criticism. However, judging from the fact that many fans on Twitter freely admitted to staying up later than usual for the release (midnight Pacific, three hours later than most New Music Friday releases), it would seem that these tactics had an overall positive effect on the album’s reception.

You can check out some of the new songs from Punk above and listen to the full album courtesy of Atlantic and YSL here.

$20 Million Lawsuit Against Lil Wayne Dismissed

The court battle between Lil Wayne and his former attorney Ronald Sweeney has been a messy one, with both parties suing each other for $20M.

Sweeney, who served as Weezy’s manager after Cortez Bryant was fired in 2018, alleges that the Tha Carter rapper stiffed him on commissions. He also alleges that he was unpaid for the services he provided during Wayne’s highly-publicized legal battle with Cash Money Records.

Sweeney’s suit alleged that Wayne “failed and refused to pay Plaintiffs his promised 10% of the recovery from lawsuits, 10% of the sale of master recordings owned by Lil Wayne’s record label and then 17% in general commissions that he owes to Plaintiffs in connection with Plaintiff’s day to day management activities.”

Weezy’s team says none of that is true and that the New Orleans native hired other attorneys to handle his dispute with Baby and Cash Money. And in his countersuit against Sweeney, Wayne alleges that his former lawyer overcharged him for legal services.

Despite Wayne’s countersuit still hanging in limbo, it has been reported that Sweeney’s case against him is no longer valid.

According to Radar Online “a judge has granted a motion to dismiss a $20 million lawsuit against Lil Wayne. The judge determined the suit was incorrectly filed in California when the case should’ve been litigated in Florida, where Weezy lives and works.”

That’s a huge win for Lil Wayne.

Although the case was thrown out on more of a technicality than anything, not having to pay $20M is not having to pay $20M. And just a couple weeks after Wayne skipped out on the deposition for this case, this is the best case scenario for Weezy F. Baby.

What do you think of Weezy’s former lawyer getting his case thrown out? Let us know in the comments.

North Korea Compares “Squid Game” To “Beastly South Korean Society”

The Netflix original series, Squid Game has quickly risen to a level of global success that no one quite anticipated. The 9-episode show has been receiving love from countries all over the world, although one location in particular has been publicizing a lot of hate for the show.

According to TMZ, a North Korean propaganda website called Arirang Meari has provided the country’s residents with a review of the Hwang Dong-hyuk directed show.

The site says that Squid Game “gained popularity because it exposes the reality of South Korean capitalist culture,” and that it exposes “a world where only money matters — a hell-like horror.”

Arirang Meari reportedly sees a capitalist society as one where “corruption and immoral scoundrels are commonplace.”

During Squid Game, viewers are introduced to 456 players, all of whom are desperate for money to pay off their debts so that they might be able to escape the loan sharks that they’re seemingly always running from.

The players partake in a series of children’s games (sounds easy, but many of them end in a very bloody mess), and those still standing at the end will split a prize pool worth $38 million.

The show can be compared to the Bong Joon-ho directed film, Parasite, seeing as both address the mass wealth gap that exists, and how people are so often willing to go to desperate measures just to ensure they’re scraping by financially.

“It is said that it makes people realize the sad reality of the beastly South Korean society in which human beings are driven into extreme competition and their humanity is being wiped out,” the propaganda site reads.

According to TMZ, North Korean citizens can receive hefty fines, or even jail time, if they’re caught watching South Korean media.

One country may be expressing their disdain for Squid Game, but the rest of the world appears to be hooked and eagerly waiting for news of a second season.

Do you agree with North Korea’s sentiments, or are you a fan of the Netflix original series?
