Young Thug & His Lawyer Fist Bump In Court And Fans Want The Image To Be An Album Cover

Young Thug is currently going through a massive legal battle that could have huge implications for hip-hop as a genre. Overall, Thugger is battling RICO charges in the state of Georgia. Throughout the trial, the State has tried to use lyrics and music video imagery as part of the case. Furthermore, the proceedings themselves have been a huge mess. There has been very little consistency as it pertains to how much progress is made in court on a daily basis. Some believe the trial could extend into 2027, which feels absurd, and quite frankly inhumane.

Despite all of this, Young Thug has managed to maintain a positive outlook in court. Whenever he is in the courtroom, he keeps a smile on his face. Although there are times when he is more stoic, it is simply to keep his family even-keeled as the whole case has been an emotional rollercoaster. On Monday, Thugger was back in court, and he seemed to be in good spirits, again. In the photo below, you can see that he even gave his lawyer a nice fist bump prior to the proceedings.

The image made the rounds online, with some fans claiming that this would make for a great album cover. “bro finna turn that to album cover or sumn lol,” one person wrote. “Bro might actually make it out,” said another. No matter the case, it is clear that he legal team cares deeply about his situation. Fans have been impressed with their work, although only time will tell whether or not is pays off.

Young Thug Was Smiling Ear To Ear After Quavo Visited Him In Court

Young Thug has been going through an incredibly tough time due to the YSL Rico Trial. Overall, this has been a strenuous trial that is not going as planned. Although the state believes it has a solid case, it could take years to fully present. In fact, there are some analysts who believe that this trial could go all the way until 2027. That would be extremely unfortunate, and would take up a whole lot of time. However, that seems to be the progression of things right now, and fans will just have to sit tight as this plays out.

So far, Thugger hasn’t gotten a ton of visitors in court. While his family has shown up from time to time, his artist friends have been fairly quiet. Thankfully, that trend officially came to an end on Wednesday as Quavo was in court for the trial. Quavo and Young Thug have made a ton of tracks together in the past, so it only makes sense that he would show up for his friend in need. In fact, Young Thug seemed pretty moved by the gesture, as he was all smiles once he saw the former Migo.

Young Thug and Quavo Have A Great Friendship

Hopefully, more artists will begin to show up for Thugger as time goes on. He is obviously in a tough situation, and not everyone wants to be associated with what is happening. That said, even a little bit of support can go a long way. As we have clearly seen, the whole hip-hop world is hoping for Thugger to make it out of this, and be home sooner rather than later.

Young Thug Trial: YSL CO-Founder Confirms What “Thug” Stands For

As Young Thug’s YSL trial carries on, it’s been a turbulent few weeks for everyone in the courtroom. There’s been a myriad of viral moments where witnesses lash out, shut down completely, or straight up confess they aren’t in the right headspace to be testifying. That’s also come amongst questions about the behavior of various members of the district attorney’s office and a motion filed by Thug’s lawyers to have the lead prosecutor removed from the case.

Now the newest witness on the stand is DK, one of the co-founders of YSL. While being questioned by the defense, he was asked if he knew what “Thug” stood for. It’s been a point of contention in the trial as the prosecution tries to cite his rap name as evidence that the label is also a gang. DK gave credit to an argument the defense has been making since early in the trial, that “Thug” stands for “Truly Humble Under God.” He also claimed that it stands for “The Hate U Give” in different circumstances. Check out the video of DK giving his testimony below.

YSL-Co Founder Testifies About What “Thug” Means In Young Thug

Last month, Thug’s lawyers filed a motion to have some of the witnesses removed from the witness list. They projected that the trial could last until 2027 if everyone on the witness list was questioned at the same pace they had been so far. In response some witnesses were cleared, including Lil Wayne who was originally expected to testify. He was one of multiple rappers included on the list of potential witnesses but was the only one removed. Rich Homie Quan, YFN Lucci, and Birdman are all still on the list of potential witnesses in the case.

What do you think of one of YSL’s co-founders confirming that “Thug” stands for “Truly Humble Under God”? Do you think the testimony will help Thug’s defense push back on the allegations that YSL is a gang? Let us know in the comment section below.

Young Thug Trial: State Witness Becomes Uncooperative During Questioning

The newest developments in the Young Thug trial over the past few weeks have further deteriorated the reputation of the trial online. During a run of stories in March one witness claimed that he was being threatened and just a few days later another claimed he was so high on the stand he might fall asleep. The defense calculated that with the extensive list of witnesses presented by the prosecution, the trial could last until 2027. The judge responded this week by dropping some people from the witness list including Lil Wayne.

Now there’s yet another issue with a state witness. Yesterday, D’Angelo White was called to the stand in order to give some context to Thug’s origins. But once they began asking questions that directly related to Thug, White became uncooperative. He repeatedly had to ask what the questions had to do with him before eventually shutting down completely. After that almost any questions he was asked he responded with “I shouldn’t be here.” Check out the full day of court proceedings below.

Witness In The Young Thug Trial Stops Answering Questions

The witness issues in the case haven’t slowed down in recent weeks. Earlier this month a female witness alleged that a Fulton County investigator sexually harassed her. Just a few days later a different investigator from the trial was caught sharing inappropriate text messages with one of the witnesses in the trial. Thug’s defense called the move an attempt to score favoritism in their testimony.

Last week, Young Thug appeared on a highly-anticipated new song. Lil Wayne dropped the track “Bless,” the lead single from his upcoming album. The song has already racked up more than a million streams on Spotify in less than a week since it dropped. What do you think of even more issues spawning from a state witness in the Young Thug RICO trial? Do you think the witness list needs to be cut down so the trial doesn’t last as long? Let us know in the comment section below.

Young Thug Trial: Lead Prosecutor Will Remain On The Case After Judge’s New Ruling

We’re already months into the Young Thug trial and it doesn’t appear to be close to reaching a resolution. In fact, some involved with the case have estimated that if the witness list isn’t shortened the trial could go on until 2027. Whether or not the bold prediction comes true remains to be seen but in the meantime the trial is continuing on despite one controversy after another throughout.

Most recently, Young Thug’s lawyers filed a new motion. They were attempting to have the lead prosecutor on the case, Adriane Love, removed from the trial. But after a newly announced ruling from the judge, she’s officially staying on the case. Video sharing the announcement features hundreds of comments about the judge’s bias. Fans following the trial have pointed out numerous times they felt like the judge was acting overtly biased in favor of the prosecution. “That judge want thug in jail I never seen a trial last this last long” and “Judge is bias common knowledge” two of the top comments on a post sharing the videos read. Check out the full announcement the judge made today.

Lead Prosecutor Will Stay On Young Thug RICO Trial

Messy stories about the YSL RICO trial seem to emerge almost every day. Earlier this week one of the witnesses in the case was being cross examined when she revealed some concerning details. She accused one of the investigators in Fulton County’s District Attorney’s office of sexually harassing her.

That came just a few days after a witness was allegedly forced to take the stand despite reporting suicidal thoughts. The witness was allegedly robbed in 2013 and the prosecution is attempting to prove Thug’s connection to it. But she was forced to take the stand despite making it clear she wanted no part in the trial. What do you think of the newest developments in the Young Thug YSL RICO trial? Do you think the court should take steps to prevent the trial from lasting as long as it appears it will? Let us know in the comment section below.

Young Thug’s Legal Battle With AEG Continues Amid Ongoing YSL RICO Trial

Almost all of the news surrounding Young Thug in the past nearly two years has had to do with the YSL RICO indictment. The rap superstar’s label YSL was hit with a massive indictment in May of 2022 alleging gang activities amid a myriad of other crimes. Fans have followed the trial closely as it implicates numerous figures in rap music and has spawned headline news repeatedly. Last year, the second most famous among those indicted, Gunna, took a plea deal to escape trial. He was widely criticized for the move after it came to light he had to testify as a part of his release.

But that isn’t the only ongoing legal battle in Young Thug’s life. Despite his RICO trial still in full swing AEG is continuing with a $5 million lawsuit they filed accusing the rapper of breaching his contract. The RICO trial has presented a significant challenge for AEG’s civil court filings and it’s expected that the case could run into 2025. In the meantime, AEG is attempting to prove that YSL misrepresented their finances when signing a $5 million promotional deal in 2017. They claim that the label knowingly signed the deal without the net worth to eventually pay it back.

Young Thug Trial: State Witness Claims He’s So High He Might Fall Asleep

Though the explosive revelations from early days of the trial have started to slow down that hasn’t stopped fans from continuing to pay close attention. That was the case last week when an argument between two of the attorneys in the case got so heated that the sheriffs deputy in the court had to step in. A video of the interaction shared online racked up almost 400k views.

Now there’s yet another moment that’s leading to fans online calling the trial a sham. That’s a clip making the rounds online that is reportedly of one of the state’s witnesses giving their testimony. In the clip, he gives some pretty self-incriminating evidence as to why he may not be the most trustworthy witness. “Im so high right now, Im aboutta go to sleep on yall man” he states in the video. It’s another viral slipup for the prosecution in a trial where they’ve repeatedly come under fire by fans following closely. Check out the newest video that has observers online calling for a mistrial below.

State Witness Showed Up High To Young Thug Trial

There was even more drama in the case last week. Yet another viral video made the rounds online of one of the witnesses in the case having finally had enough. After being asked variations of the exact same question over and over he let the court know how he felt in an absolute eruption on the stand. Months into the trial it seems to be wearing down almost everyone involved.

Thugger was originally arrested in May of 2022. That means were approaching two full years of the rapper’s incarceration in just a few months. Those paying close attention to the trial are still unclear about what his prospects look like as far as beating the case goes. What do you think of the concerning new video of a state witness in the Young Thug trial? Do you think the prosecutions repeated viral slipups are enough to get the case ruled a mistrial? Young Thug’s Defense Files To Have Lyrics And Music Videos Removed From Evidence

Last year, the judge in Young Thug’s YSL RICO trial controversially ruled that lyrics would be admissible as evidence. It re-sparked a major debate about whether lyrics should be allowed in court with rappers like Killer Mike speaking out against the decision. Subsequently, Thug’s defense has filed a new motion to try and get those lyrics and some music videos removed from the pool of evidence in the trial. They cited a recent unrelated court decision by the Georgia Supreme Court and are hoping precedent can help out the rapper’s case.

Earlier this week, the state’s Supreme Court overturned the conviction of a 2019 murder. They ruled that a music video used as evidence was “highly prejudicial” and the conviction was struck down. “It allowed the State to introduce impermissible propensity evidence by portraying Baker as a threatening gunman, and the prosecutor severely exacerbated the video’s prejudicial impact by emphasizing that it showed Baker’s predisposition to gun violence,” they said in their ruling. Thug’s defense is hoping that the ruling could help play a role in getting similar evidence removed from their trial.

Young Thug Trying To Get More Evidence Thrown Out

The story that has dominated Young Thug’s trial so far this year didn’t even happen in court. Audio and video leaked from a jail phone call between him and his girlfriend Mariah The Scientist. It hit the internet back in January and part of their interaction went viral online. Despite the break in privacy, Mariah seems relatively okay with the virality of the video. During a recent concert she seemed to embrace the video, even while joking that fans “weren’t supposed to see it.”

What do you think of Young Thug’s defense trying to get evidence removed from his YSL RICO trial once again? Do you think they’ll succeed in getting some of the lyrics and music videos removed? Do you think Thug has a good chance at beating the case? Let us know in the comment section below.

Metro Boomin Blasts Users Spreading Misinformation About YSL Defense Lawyer

Fans are still going wild over the news about a defense lawyer in the YSL RICO case getting arrested for gang activity. However, this social media firestorm gave a lot of people the wrong idea about this development, something Metro Boomin isn’t happy with at all. Moreover, he took to Twitter on Friday (February 16) to call out folks falsely assuming that Nicole Fegan is part of Young Thug’s legal team, specifically. “that lady not even thug lawyer y’all gotta stop spreading misinformation,” the producer expressed, as she is part of the wider defense team for Young Stoner Life’s case. We apologize if our previous coverage unintentionally reflected this error.

While Fegan is reportedly out on bond at press time, it’s still unclear what kinds of ramifications this will pose for the trial. This is all speculative, as this isn’t coming from any legal expert, but some folks think that it could damage the YSL and Young Thug case, which is definitely the case as far as optics go. But the tougher question is whether these new charges for the lawyer will actually tie into the current court proceedings. That seems unlikely, so perhaps there will be a separate case in the near future and Fegan will simply not return to represent the collective.

Metro Boomin Calls Out Misinformation About YSL Defense Attorney

As far as Metro Boomin, we know that he will always staunchly support Young Thug and YSL no matter what. He’s been one of many outspoken voices in the rap world to continuously speak out about the case and advocate for their freedom during live performances, interviews, everyday tweets, and so much more. In fact, it’s been very interesting to see how artists and industry peers seem more involved when it comes to awareness and advocacy on issues that are affecting the culture as a whole. Now, there are multiple media lenses to look at them through, and prioritizing this first-hand perspective is a welcome and dynamic addition to our public consciousness.

Meanwhile, the trial itself rages on, and while things are pretty steady right now (excluding Fegan’s arrest), we know how fast that can change. What do you think this new story in the YSL case will mean for the near future? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments section down below. Also, keep checking in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Metro Boomin and the Young Thug trial.

Attorney in YSL RICO Trial Faces Gang-Related Charges

Attorney in YSL RICO Trial Faces Gang-Related Charges

Nicole Fegan, attorney for one of the defendants, now faces gang-related charges. According to WBS-TV Atlanta, Fegan was arrested and released on a $40,000 bond from Fulton County Jail

As confirmed by the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, Fegan’s charges stem from allegations of contacting a suspect involved in a 2022 shooting. Atlanta police reported Fegan’s arrest on charges including participating in criminal street gang activity and criminal solicitation to tamper with evidence.

Despite her release on bond, details of Fegan’s alleged actions reveal troubling connections to criminal activity. Fegan purportedly advised a suspect to dispose of evidence and informed him of impending arrest warrants, actions not aligned with her role as an attorney.

As investigations continue, questions arise regarding Fegan’s involvement and the implications for legal proceedings in the Young Slime Life case. Channel 2 Action News has contacted the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office for further details, underscoring the gravity of these unfolding events.
