Ralo Would “Rather Die” Than Testify Like Young Thug’s YSL Co-Founder

Young Thug’s YSL RICO trial is officially underway again, after the judge relieved jurors for the holidays early in light of the rapper’s co-defendant getting stabbed. Today, YSL co-founder Trontavious Stephens took the stand as part of his plea deal. He pled guilty to one count of conspiracy to violate the anti-racketeering law last December. He later received a 10-year sentence, two to serve. During his testimony, Stephens was asked to demonstrate gang signs, detail his involvement in gangs, and more.

One person who’s been vocal about the ongoing trial is Ralo, who was just released from federal prison in November. He served six years for gun and drug charges. Shortly after he got out, he took to social media to share his thoughts on the case, coming to Young Thug’s defense. According to him, prosecutors are simply trying to make him take the fall for those around him, and should just free him already.

Ralo On Trontavious Stephens Taking The Stand

“Young Thug [trial] weak as f*ck,” he wrote. “I can’t even believe they giving Jeff ah hard time like that for them weak a** charges. They might [as] well just let him go. I feel like they just trying blame him for sh*t n***as around him was doing. That sh*t l*me!!!” Now, he’s come through with another take, this time surrounding Trontavious Stephens’ recent testimony. In a new Tweet, he claims that he would never take the stand like he did, particularly if it concerned a longtime friend.

“Man ain’t no way Shawty just got on that stand against his childhood friend,” Ralo says. “I rather die ah thousand deaths before I do some sh*t like that.” What do you think of Ralo’s opinion of YSL co-founder Trontavious Stephens taking the stand? Young Thug Teases New Clothing Brand As YSL Rico Trial Resumes

Young Thug is currently in jail as he stands trial in the YSL Rico case. This is a case that has a lot of implications for the future of hip-hop. Overall, some lyrics are being used as evidence, which brings into question the whole idea of freedom of expression. Furthermore, Thug is a highly influential artist, and if he were to be convicted, there is a chance that he could be locked up for decades. Needless to say, there is a whole lot at stake here. However, the trial has been confusing due to a myriad of factors.

Prior to Christmas, a co-defendant was stabbed in jail which subsequently led to a delay in the proceedings. On Tuesday, the trial officially resumed and Thugger was all smiles in the courtroom. This has been a lengthy process, so we can imagine just how happy he is to get this show on the road. In fact, Thugger has more than just the law on his kind these days. Recently, he took to Instagram where he promoted a brand-new clothing line called Act Normal. You can see the IG story, below.

“If you support me then…you know the rest,” he wrote. Furthermore, there was a link to the brand’s website which is still very much a work in progress. As HipHopDX reports, Isaiah GQ is a part of the brand. Meanwhile, it is unclear what Thug’s association is. He has his own brand called Spider, although this could be a separate endeavor. Either way, the first collection for Act Normal should be coming out soon. Hopefully, we get some more details on this, very soon.

Young Thug Reveals What His Frequently Used Slang Words Actually Mean

Earlier this week, Young Thug revealed the true meaning behind some of his most commonly used slang words on Instagram, surprising fans in the process. According to his post, terms like “opp” and “slime” actually mean “overly positive pal” and “seeing lord in me everyday.” Despite the connotations they may carry, he assured listeners that the terms in his music are nothing but positive.

The post follows some recent claims made by his attorney Brian Steel, which managed to capture the attention of social media users. Towards the beginning of the YSL founder’s trial, Steel argued that the title of his 2022 track with Future and Gunna, “pushin P,” actually means “Pushing Positivity.” He also stated that Young Thug’s name means “Truly Humble Under God.”

Young Thug Claims “YSL” Means “Young Soldiers Of The Lord”

Steel later shared how YSL got its name, claiming that it was a result of Young Thug’s friends frequently sporting Yves Saint Laurent women’s jeans, which featured the iconic acronym. Overall, fans have found humor in the defense attorney’s strategy, and it looks like Thugger has too. Prosecutors are using the rapper’s song lyrics against him in court, which many argue is unfair, as they don’t necessarily represent the truth.

Fat Joe, for example, recently came to Young Thug’s defense, claiming that plenty of his lyrics don’t reflect reality. “I’ve been rapping professionally for 30 years,” he told CNN‘s Gayle King. “I’ve lied in almost 95 percent of my songs. I’m being honest. I write like I feel that day. I’m just being creative. You couldn’t build a jail high enough for the lyrics I’ve said on songs, which are all untrue. What I am is a family man, the person who gives back to my community all the time, opens businesses in my community.” What do you think of Young Thug revealing the true meaning of the slang words he uses in his music? YFN RICO Trial Set To Begin Early Next Year

yfn lucci jail

The YSL RICO trial has been recognized as one of the most important trials among Hip Hop artists in history, however, the YFN trial will be shifting some of the attention from the Young Thug?Young SLime Life RICO trial with the strained between the two factions as the centerpiece of this ongoing legal saga.

An official date for the YFN RICO trial is set for January 8, which is set to be underway and scheduled to run parallel alongside other high-profile Hip Hop notables’ court cases. Lucci was expected to testify in the YSL RICO trial, but now this is not likely to occur.

The YFN Lucci trial may be linked to the YSL RICO trial and could possibly begin at the beginning of YNW Melly’s second trial, which ended in a mistrial The YFN trial was delayed due to YSL Woody’s role as informant, including leaked video footage implicating him in providing information on YFN Lucci.

Fat Joe Stands Up For Young Thug, Says He’s Lied In “95%” Of His Songs

Young Thug and YSL’s RICO case is obviously a big point of contention in the worlds of crime and hip-hop. On that last point, though, many MCs are concerned of the precedent this case could set, as the court will admit rap lyrics as evidence. Moreover, this debate centers around whether these artistic expressions should be taken as true, especially in an industry in which artists are rewarded for being more outlandish, “hard,” and “real in the streets” than the last. A legend in hip-hop, Fat Joe, recently spoke to Gayle King on CNN about how much he and other rappers lie all the time in their music, and why this is a ridiculous conclusion to arrive to on behalf of the justice system.

“I’ve been rapping professionally for 30 years,” Fat Joe began. “I’ve lied in almost 95 percent of my songs. I’m being honest. I write like I feel that day. I’m just being creative. You couldn’t build a jail high enough for the lyrics I’ve said on songs, which are all untrue. What I am is a family man, the person who gives back to my community all the time, opens businesses in my community.

Fat Joe’s Appearance On CNN: Watch

“So the music would never amount to the actual person, Joseph Cartagena,” Fat Joe added. “What’s even more horrible is that the district attorneys, they know those lyrics ain’t real. They know that’s creativity. But if it helps their case, they’ll use it to put these guys in jail. And here, we’re having a fun show about it and discussion, but there really is six defendants in Atlanta who might spend the rest of their lives in jail for something that’s totally not true. This is very serious. This destroys families.

“This case right here is setting such a precedent in America,” he concluded on a somber note. “Because they’ve used this before in up-and-coming, aspiring artists. They’ve never took a guy off the stage in the arena. You know, a number one artist that my daughter and all the kids look up to, and say, ‘No, you going on trial for this.’ It’s nasty work, it’s real nasty work.” For more news and the latest updates on Young Thug, YSL, and Fat Joe, stay logged into HNHH.

Young Thug RICO Trial Judge “Very Angry” In Court, Mistrial Rumblings Begin

Young Thug’s eagerly-anticipated RICO trial is finally underway, however, it may not be for much longer. According to Law & Crime‘s Cathy Russon, Judge Ural Glanville, who’s overseeing the trial, recently got upset in the courtroom. “Judge Glanville appeared very angry and called all attorneys back in chambers,” she Tweeted earlier today. “Working to get more information but murmurs about a mistrial. Stand by!”

While it remains unclear what upset him, there’s been some chatter online surrounding the media accidentally showing jurors’ faces in footage from the trial. This has resulted in images of the jurors floating around, which obviously pose a serious security risk. Young Thug has already been awaiting trial for quite some time now, with several delays surrounding the jury selection process. If Judge Glanville chooses to rule this a mistrial, the rapper will stay behind bars awaiting his next trial, and the process will restart.

Delays Could Continue In Young Thug’s Case

Russon’s news follows Young Thug’s request for a mistrial on the first day of the trial. Judge Glanville swiftly denied the request. His attorney Brian Steel accused prosecutors of intentional misconduct, noting how they failed to provide the defense with slides from their opening statement. Judge Glanville eventually had jurors leave the courtroom to get the situation sorted, calling out the prosecution for their lack of preparation. He got frustrated at the time as well due to ongoing delays.

Young Thug’s attorney continues to get attention amid the trial for his compelling, and arguably amusing, arguments. Earlier this week, Steel argued that the name of Young Thug’s 2022 track with Gunna and Future, “Pushin P,” actually stands for “pushing positivity.” What do you think of reports that Judge Ural Glanville got upset in court today? How about the possibility that he could rule this a mistrial? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Lil Wayne’s 2015 Tour Bus Shooting Referenced In Young Thug & YSL RICO Trial

The RICO trial for Young Thug and YSL began today (Monday, November 27) with opening statements and a denied call for a mistrial on behalf of the defense. On that last point, it’s unclear if it’ll happen but still unlikely, but that wasn’t the only notable incident to come up on day one. Moreover, Fulton County Deputy District Attorney Adriane Love brought up a 2015 shooting that Lil Wayne’s tour bus suffered, allegedly at the hands of Thugger and YSL. If you weren’t aware of their beef, now you know to what extent it allegedly went to. Furthermore, she said that the convict in that case– Jimmy Winfrey– and others shot up the bus to show solidarity with Thugger after they went to Weezy’s show “locked and loaded” and did not secure clearance to enter.

“They unloaded bullets into the man’s tour bus,” Adriane Love remarked. “Bullets for nothing, except to show their dominance. There will be no evidence to show that Lil Wayne threatened either of them that night. But that act on the part of Jimmy Winfrey and the defendants before you today was intended to show their solidarity, their willingness to act on the behalf of– [and] their willingness to exact violence upon anyone who threatened the position of– the criminal street gang calling itself Young Slime Life.”

Young Thug & YSL RICO Trial Prosecutor Reminds The Jury Of Lil Wayne Shooting: Watch

In fact, the “Metro Spider” MC’s feud with Lil Wayne was also the subject of a leaked interrogation with him. Furthermore, Young Thug answered questions about whether he, Birdman, or Tunechi were part of a Bloods gang. Of course, he stood by any lyrical references as just entertainment, and denied any and all actual criminal activity relating to that. It’s one of many bizarre angles in this case competing for court relevance.

Another is the use of lyrics in the trial as evidence against the codefendants, and you already know how the Atlanta trap pioneer thinks about that. Regardless, we’d predict that this tour bus shooting will prove to be a constant point of discussion, both for the severity of the actions and their alleged responsibility, plus its connection to the hip-hop world that is an apt contextual comparison. All that remains is to see whether the evidence supports that. For more news and the latest updates on Young Thug, the YSL RICO case, and Lil Wayne, stick around on HNHH.

Young Thug’s Latest Attempt To Have RICO Case Thrown Out Is Denied

Judge Ural Glanville in Georgia has denied Young Thug’s motion to have his RICO case thrown out. The rapper’s attorney, Brian Steel, argued that the grand jury failed to properly accuse Young Thug of knowingly committing the allegations in the original indictment.

“Mr. Williams is innocent of all charges in the above-referenced indictment,” Steel wrote in the motion. “The grand jury wrongfully re-indicted Mr. Williams in the above-reference case on or about October 5, 2022 in count one – conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influence and Corrupt Organizations Act; count 56 and 57 – participation in criminal street gang activity; counts 58, 59 and 60 – violation of Georgia Controlled Substances Act; count 61 – possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony; and count 62 – possession of a machine gun.”

Glanville disagreed with Steel’s argument, instead suggesting that the language used was sufficient. “I find that the state’s indictment tracks the language of the statute and is sufficient therein for counts one, 56, 57, 58, 59 and 60, 61 and 62 as it pertains to the state versus Mr. Jeffery Williams,” the judge said. “For those reasons, the court is going to deny the defendant’s plea and bar motion to dismiss general demurrer.”

In the end, Glanville noted that Thug could still appeal his initial ruling, but that it “won’t stop the trial of this matter.” The decision comes as opening statements are scheduled to begin on November 27. While Thug waits behind bars, his partner, Mariah The Scientist, recently revealed that the two intend to get married when he’s a free man. During a recent interview, she added that she thinks about what life will be like once Thug gets out “all day long.” “I feel like being imaginative can help every human being on earth not lose your mind. It is like a little slight state of delusion,” she said. Be on the lookout for further updates on Young Thug’s case on HotNewHipHop.
