Playboi Carti’s YouTube Gets Hacked With Fake “I Am Music” Album Following Fans Mass Outrage

Playboi Carti fans are currently going through it right now. While it’s certainly up to the artist and the label to drop the project, his supporters should know how he rocks. The Georgia act has been perhaps the most mysterious MC we have going today. Any update of his regarding new material needs to not be taken so seriously, especially given where we’re at. Even if you have insiders telling you something is on the way, still expect nothing. But fans didn’t over the holiday as many were left despondent after I Am Music failed to drop on the 25th and now the 27th.

In fact, some are so fed up that they are leading a mass social media unfollowing on New Year’s Eve. Just like when it comes to Playboi Carti making promises, we are laughing at this “strike,” if you will. The delusion will definitely still be there. This just comes across as folks coping hard. But who knows. Let’s see what 2025 brings. Additionally, others have created a website dedicated to the rapper’s career in the 2020s so far.

Playboi Carti… It Might Be Time To Drop The Album

It’s actually pretty robust breakdown of every update, failed promise, and etc. for I Am Music and Whole Lotta Red. All of this if essentially fans making their voices heard, however, there’s a good chance this falls on deaf ears. But people are continuing to do so today now as well as it appears that Carti’s YouTube was hacked. Folks on X were able to discover that someone made the “ALL RED” MC’s banner on his account the “I AM MUSIC” promotional logo.

However, it’s more than that. There’s also a fake version of the album included on his “Releases” tab. It contains 15 old leaks from throughout his career, with some sounding like ones from his self-titled era. Whoever did this also put the titles of the songs that Carti released on his Instagram and YouTube accounts such as “2024,” “H00DBYAIR,” “BACKR00MS,” and more. Fans aren’t messing around, so Carti… you may want to take matters into your own hands now.

YouTuber Trap Lore Ross Drops Lil Durk Documentary Alleging The Rap Star Responsible For Six Deaths

U.K. YouTuber Trap Lore Ross is best known for his hip-hop-related crime documentaries highlighting Lil Durk and other rap stars such as King Von, YNW Melly, and Young Thug. On December 23, Ross released a four-hour documentary titled The Many Murders of Lil Durk. The video delves into allegations surrounding the Grammy-winning rap star and his tumultuous relationships with his hometown of Chicago. The YouTuber opened the documentary with a disclaimer, asserting that all the content was sourced from public information, including rumors, lyrics, legal documents, and personal opinions.

Lil Durk is currently in federal detainment, facing a RICO case. The rapper would be denied bond with a trial set for January 7. In the documentary, Durk is alleged to have ties to six murders: FBG Duck, FBG Cash, Lul Pab, Jaski, Oil, and Stephon Mack. Ross also explored the killing of Durk’s brother, DThang, who was fatally shot in June 2021. The deaths of Jaski, Oil, and Mack were characterized as deeply personal to Durk, while FBG Duck’s killing was portrayed as more calculated and professional. Durk faces charges of conspiracy, murder-for-hire, and using firearms in a violent crime. Durk reportedly remains in good spirits while detained.

Trap Lore Ross Claims Lil Durk Responsible For Many Murders In New Doc

The video concluded with a sobering message: “With all the self-incrimination Durk has done in 2023, it’s only a matter of time before people piece things together.” Before the latest documentary, Durk was frequently mentioned in other Chicago-related documentaries by Trap Lore Ross. The YouTuber’s investigations resulted in confrontations with Chicago rappers, asking him to stop documenting the city’s rap stars.

Before his arrest, Durk was set to release his forthcoming album, Deep Thoughts. The rap star’s current legal drama is allegedly in connection to the death of OTF artist King Von in 2020. Von was shot during an altercation with rival Quando Rondo and his entourage outside of an Atlanta nightclub. King Von would succumb to his gunshot wound at the hospital.

14-Year-Old Kendrick Lamar Leak Ends Up On His Official YouTube Page And Fans Are Confused

A song from Kendrick Lamar titled, “Money Without Me,” landed on his official YouTube page without context, last night, and fans are confused. The track seems to date back over a decade to Lamar’s Section.80 era and it’s unclear whether he intended to upload it or was hacked. In turn, fans on social media are confused about the release.

In the comments section of the YouTube post, some users have been treating it like a new single. “Casually dropping a whole song this time is a goat move,” one user wrote. “Love these no announcement drops. If the music is good, it’ll promote itself.” Others have been trying to set the record straight. “This is from his section 80 days, don’t know why it’s out now, hacked?” another theorized.

The current cover art for the song resembles that of Lamar’s latest album, GNX, which he dropped by surprise, last month. It marks his first full-length project since departing his longtime labels Top Dawg Entertainment and Aftermath Entertainment. Despite the change, it debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200, moving 319,000 album-equivalent units. Additionally, tracks from the album occupied all of the Billboard Hot 100’s top five spots. Across the tracklist, Lamar collaborated with SZA, Dody6, Lefty Gunplay, Wallie the Sensei, Siete7x, Roddy Ricch, and more.

Kendrick Lamar’s sixth studio album, GNX, is making waves on the charts, with ten tracks landing on the US Top Songs. Leading the charge is the video-assisted “squabble up,” which secures the #2 spot, followed by “tv off” featuring Lefty GunPlay at #4 and the SZA-assisted “luther” at #15.

Lamar also scores another hit with “Not Like Us,” a track fueled by his lyrical battle with Drake, which claims #9. The rapper continues his dominance, holding the #1 spot on US Top Artists. GNX‘s chart success further solidifies Kendrick Lamar’s position at the forefront of contemporary hip-hop.

Kendrick Lamar’s “Meet The Grahams” Gets Chilling Timestamp Update

Kendrick Lamar dropped an EP worth of classic diss songs in 2024. The rapper masterfully played Drake in the rap battle of the decade. “Not Like Us” dominated the conversation, and topped the Hot 100, but it was “Meet the Grahams” that secured the win. The Alchemist produced song is among the darkest and most damning songs ever put out against another rapper. And thanks to YouTube, the song has become even darker. Timestamps have been added to “Meet the Grahams,” giving each verse a sinister title of its own.

Those familiar with the song know Kendrick Lamar addresses different people in each verse. He speaks to Drake’s son, Adonis, then to his mother, Sandi Graham. Dot then turns his focus toward a daughter he claims Drake is hiding from the world. He closes the song out by addressing the 6 God himself. It’s very unnerving to listen to, thanks to Dot’s flow and Alchemist’s horror-movie production. The timestamps make each verse hit harder, though. If you scrub through “Meet the Grahams” on YouTube, you’ll notice that the first verse has been titled “Daddy Issues.” The second verse is “Family Issues,” then to “Father Issues” and finally “The Grahams.”

Kendrick Lamar’s Diss Has Titles For Each Verse

Fans were shocked to find this change. It not only emphasis the surgeon-like precision Kendrick Lamar employed in writing the song, it emphasizes the flaws he found in his opponent. Some have questioned whether the timestamp titles were auto-generated, but they align with Lamar’s specific wording. The last verse on “Meet the Grahams” sees him list out Drake flaws in a similar vein. “You got gamblin’ problems, drinkin’ problems, pill-poppin’ and spendin’ problems,” Dot raps. “Bad with money, whorehouse Solicitin’ women problems, therapy’s a lovely start.”

It’s astounding that “Meet the Grahams” peaked at number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100. It also says a lot that “Meet the Grahams” is the only diss that Kendrick Lamar did not perform live during the Pop Out on Juneteenth. It’s somber tone, and its harrowing accusations make it unnerving to listen to, so it makes a lot of sense that Lamar preferred to run back “Not Like Us” five times. Unsurprisingly, Lamar is targeted in the legal drama involving Drake and their mutual label, UMG.

Cardi B Issues A Warning To Armon Wiggins

In a now-deleted X (formerly Twitter) Spaces rant, Cardi B warned YouTuber Armon Wiggins to stop disrespecting her. Wiggins, whose channel has over 200,000 subscribers, specializes in drama, primarily in the women’s hip-hop space. Cardi’s rant came after Wiggins called her “fake” and “phony” for endorsing presidential hopeful and sitting Vice President Kamala Harris. Cardi viewed this as the last straw for Wiggins, who she feels has repeatedly antagonized her on social media, even after multiple private conversations regarding her issues with his coverage.

“I’m not gonna keep letting somebody think that they can disrespect me, they can bully me and they can keep trying me,” Cardi B said. “Especially when I have conversations with them, when I have conversations with them as an adult. ‘Cause if you don’t respect me being a f***ing adult, that means I gotta motherf***ing treat you how I motherf***ing treat people in the motherf***ing streets. And that is a motherf***ing fact.”

Cardi B Tears Into YouTuber Armon Wiggins

“You not gonna keep f***ing playing with me,” Cardi B continued. “And that s**t is coming from me. Not nobody else but from f***ing me. And I’m letting you know. And I’m not doing no f***ing me Twitter s**t. I’m not arguing with nobody. I’m not piping nobody up. Stop f***ing me playing with me! Leave me the f**k alone! ‘Cause I promise you, on my kids, every time you go out, people tell me where you at. At that time too! But I don’t be giving a f###. Don’t let me get there! ‘Cause you keep f***ing me playing with me … Stop f***ing playing with me! ‘Cause I be sparing n****s. Not sparing n****s on the argument s**t, sparing n****s in real life.” She also referenced her gang ties, telling Wiggins to “stop playing with the Brim.”

Armon Wiggins apologized to Cardi B shortly after in a post to X. “I don’t want no problems y’all got it,” Wiggins said. “We gone get it without being attached to a controversial headline.. as a MAN @iamcardib if you feel like I ever used derogatory words towards you I apologize.. I don’t wanna fight girl I’m off it.” Cardi B’s endorsement of Vice President Harris is not a surprising development. In 2019, she publicly supported Vermont senator Bernie Sanders in his campaign for the presidency, before endorsing Joe Biden after he officially became the Democratic Party’s nominee for president ahead of the 2020 election. When asked about her political affiliation in a May interview with Rolling Stone, she condemned both Biden and Harris for funding Israel’s acts of violence against Palestine. It seems that her stance has softened enough to endorse Harris ahead of her scheduled appearance at her Milwaukee campaign rally on Friday.

Kendrick Lamar, Burna Boy, Adele, And More Artists’ Music Blocked By YouTube Amid SESAC Dispute

Kendrick Lamar is among several artists who have had some of their music blocked on YouTube amid the company’s legal dispute with the performing rights organization SESAC. Other artists affected by the situation include Adele, Burna Boy, Mariah Carey, Bob Dylan, Green Day, Nirvana and R.E.M, among many others. Adele’s “Hello” and “Someone Like You,” as well as R.E.M.’s “Losing My Religion,” are all unavailable.

In a statement to Billboard, a YouTube spokesperson said: “We have held good faith negotiations with SESAC to renew our existing deal. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, we were unable to reach an equitable agreement before its expiration. We take copyright very seriously and as a result, content represented by SESAC is no longer available on YouTube in the US. We are in active conversations with SESAC and are hoping to reach a new deal as soon as possible.”

Additionally, The Hollywood Reporter noted that the TeamYouTube X (formerly Twitter) account has been posting the following message for fans having trouble accessing the songs: “Our music license agreement with SESAC has expired without an agreement on renewal conditions despite our best efforts. For this reason, we have blocked content on YouTube in the US known to be associated with SESAC – as in line with copyright law … We understand this is a difficult situation and our teams continue to work on reaching a renewal agreement.”

The SESAC drama comes after Universal Music Group and TikTok endured a similar dispute, earlier this year, that left many popular songs off of the social media platform. It appears that Kendrick Lamar’s latest single, “Not Like Us,” is unaffected by the dispute. Be on the lookout for further updates on Kendrick Lamar and YouTube on HotNewHipHop.

Kanye West’s Offensive Interview Gets Candace Owens’ YouTube Channel Suspended

Last month, Candace Owens dropped her full-length interview with Kanye West, which has resulted in her YouTube channel taking some serious hits. Earlier this week, the conservative commentator took to X to announce that she wouldn’t be posting on YouTube for now. According to her, she’s been demonetized and suspended from the platform. This is due to her interview with Ye, and particilarly his antisemitic remarks.

“They also removed the interview as ‘hate speech,’ as it was mass reported by Zionists. Their tactics never change,” she wrote. Owens then went on to suggest that she was targeted. She also theorized that her Ye interview was under scrutiny due to her recent debate with Rabbi Shmuley Boteach on Piers Morgan’s show.

Candace Owens’ YouTube Channel Takes Hit For Violating Hate Speech Policy

“The world knows why I am being targeted and frankly, I have never felt more confident that I am the right person for this to happen,” she claimed. “Thus far, I have had zero strikes on my @YouTubeCreators account… I have now been inundated with 3 back to back content hits within minutes, plus an email that I am now fully demonetized. We all know exactly who is behind this and why.” YouTube later went on to confirm Owens’ channel suspension in a statement to The New York Post.

“We’ve suspended channels associated with Candace Owens from the YouTube Partner Program following repeated violations of our policies, including our Advertiser-Friendly Guidelines and Community Guidelines,” spokesperson Jack Malon explained. Malon added that Owens frequently violates YouTube’s policies on her channels and that she can reapply for access in 90 days.
