Judge Mathis Clears Up Supposed “BMF” Beef With 50 Cent

Recently, some strife emerged in the world of “BMF” after it was announced that Judge Mathis would executive produce a biopic on “the First Lady of BMF,” Tonesa Welch. Moreover, 50 Cent took to Instagram to blast the Vivica A. Fox-directed film for some inaccuracies, particularly regarding Tonesa’s gang ties. “This should say 263, not BMF, @southwest263,” 50 wrote via an Instagram post. “What the f**k is this man! Vivica ugh, so [you’re] not gonna ever leave me alone hun? And what the f**k is Judge Mathis doing in this mix? I’m done, I’m done with all you n***as LOL.”

After that, the TV judge responded to the New York MC and business mogul with some Instagram comments of his own. “You my guy,” he clarified to Fif in his message. “Let Tonesa eat! The first lady of BMF. You know, I know Lala’s doing a hell of a job- but y’all haven’t fed Toni. I’m from Detroit, and they’re from Detroit- that’s how I’m involved. These are Detroiters, man. We cut from the same cloth. I respect you, man, I respect your work. Now, let us get some money.”

Judge Mathis Has No Ill Will Towards 50 Cent After Brief “BMF” Spat

Now, TMZ just shed some more light on the situation after they ran into Judge Mathis at the LAX airport. During their conversation, the 63-year-old said that he has no hard feelings towards 50 Cent for their small spat online. However, it seems like he still expressed excitement about continuing with his project and giving it the proper platform. Regardless about the technical details of the film’s title, Mathis stated he just wants to give Detroit and Tonesa some shine on the BET+ flick, which will premiere later this year.

Also, he made it clear that he doesn’t intend to beef with 50 Cent in the streets or anywhere, for that matter. In addition, Judge Mathis maintained that he doesn’t mind the “Many Men” artist’s jabs because they come from similar struggles and environments. Apparently, he showed TMZ his bullet wounds, and has a lot of respect for what 50 overcame. Judge Greg Mathis has responded to 50 Cent’s recent criticism of the upcoming film, First Lady of BMF: The Tonesa Welch Story. In an Instagram reel posted on Friday, Mathis expressed his respect for the legendary rapper and asked why there’s beef. 50 had complained also about his ex-girlfriend Vivica A. Fox’s involvement in the project. 50 released his own BMF series on STARZ in 2021.

“You my guy,” Mathis said to 50 in the post. “Let Tonesa eat! The first lady of BMF. You know, I know Lala’s doing a hell of a job — but y’all haven’t fed Toni. I’m from Detroit, and they’re from Detroit — that’s how I’m involved. These are Detroiters, man. We cut from the same cloth. I respect you, man — I respect your work. Now, let us get some money.”

50 had initially called out the production on Instagram, last Thursday. “This should say 263 not BMF, @southwest263. What the fvck is this man! Vivica ugh, So your not gonna ever leave me alone hun? and what the fvck is judge Mathis doing in this mix[.] I’m done, Im done with all of you n****s,” he wrote. “LOL.” As for what Mathis is actually doing in the mix, he is executive producing the film. It is expected to premiere on BET+ later this year. Fox has yet to respond to 50’s comments but did share her excitement to be working on the project, last month.

After it was reported that 50 Cent’s ex, actress Vivica Fox, would be directing The First Lady of BMF: The Tonesa Welch Story, the music and television mogul had some choice words for those involved in the project, including Detroit native Judge Joe Mathis. Now, the Detroit native has responded to Fif, offering an olive branch in place of the thorns spit out about what appears to be a copycat project.

50 took to social media to weigh in on the project that seems to be a spin off of his Starz series BMF, focused on the rise and fall of the Motown-based drug empire run by Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory, who is portrayed by his son. 50 said ofFox’s project, “👀and what the f**k is judge Mathis doing in this mix😳I’m done, I’m done with all of you n***as. LOL.”

Judge Mathis replied to 50 via social media, saying,

“You’ve been critical of us and our movie, ‘First Lady of BMF.’ Man, you my guy. Let Tonesa eat. You know, first lady of BMF. I know LaLa’s doing a hell of a job, but y’all haven’t fed Toni. First lady of BMF, Terry’s lady for many decades. Southwest T,” said Mathis.

Mathis continued, “I’m from Detroit, they from Detroit. That’s how I’m involved. We are Detroiters, man. We come from the same cloth. I just got out of the street 10 years earlier than you. I respect you, man. I respect your work. Now let us get some money, man.”

It’s not unusual for 50 Cent to have a bone to pick with other figures in the entertainment industry, and it appears his latest target is his former girlfriend, Vivica A. Fox. The rapper has become well-known for bringing shows like BMF and Power to audiences at home, but he’s not so pleased to see his ex following in his footsteps with her forthcoming The First Lady of BMF: The Tonesa Welch Story movie on BET+. As HipHopDX notes, the news actually came out via Deadline earlier this month, the New Yorker is just late in sharing his thoughts on the project.

“This should say 263, not BMF, @southwest263,” the “I Get Money” hitmaker wrote on Instagram yesterday (March 30). “🤷🏽‍♂️ What the f*ck is this man! ☕🐸 Vivica ugh, so [you’re] not gonna ever leave me alone hun 👀?” he then asked, throwing obvious shade at the media personality. Of course, Fox wasn’t the only one to face 50’s wrath. Judge Mathis, who will be executive producing her film, was also a noteworthy part of the rapper’s caption.

“And what the f*ck is Judge Mathis doing in this mix 😳? I’m done, I’m done with all you n*ggas LOL,” his post ended. Fans of Fif aren’t exactly finding his message surprising, seeing as he and Fox have publicly feuded on multiple occasions over the years. Just a few years ago, she called the multi-talent out for making “contentious comments about Black women” during a Young Money Radio interview. “He just has such f*ckboy tendencies, you know what I mean?” the 58-year-old said of her ex around that time. Despite what 50 Cent has to say, Fox seems eager to move forward with The First Lady of BMF movie.

From what we know, the project will “chart Welch’s rise from teen mom to drug dealer to earning her prestigious title from federal prosecutors,” as per Deadline. “Dreams and desires, craftiness and creativity, hustle and hard work, Welch tells a harrowing story about riches, remorse, personal responsibility, and redemption set amidst the lavishness and extreme violence of Detroit’s crack era and America’s ‘war on drugs,” a synopsis also notes. 50 Cent and Vivica Fox had a highly publicized and tumultuous relationship that began in 2003 and ended in 2004. No one expected the two, who share more differences than similarities, to hit it off.  Fox had quite a number of successful films by the time she met Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson. 50’s career kicked off back in 2002 when he dropped the “Wanksta” single and banger tracks like “P.I.M.P.” and “In da Club.”

50 Cent first mentioned Vivica at the 2003 BET Awards when he gave her a shoutout. He thanked her for “wearing that dress,” a phrase that sounded like a joke at the time. With a host of complications impeding celebrity relationships, this one ended in the predicted script format. Despite being short-lived, 50 Cent and Vivica’s connection certainly brought some spark to the celebrity dating scene.

In 2003, they hit the red carpet and attracted public attention. At the MTV Video Music Awards, 50 Cent and Fox were seen holding hands. Fans quickly took this sign to confirm the speculation of the two dating. With the media and public to get more information, the pair decided to keep it hush-hush. While the couple was dating, 50 Cent released the track “21 Questions.” This only increased the speculations of the love affair with Vivica, with the bars on the track showing the intimate side of the rap star. Additionally, he had another starlet as his leading lady in the visual: Meagan Good.

2004

In 2003, Fif spoke about his romance with Fox while on Howard Stern’s radio show. The rapper alleged that the actress only wanted to date him for publicity. He also stated that they went public with their relationship too quickly, and even took questions about their intimate moments. 50 Cent revealed he didn’t even break up with her—he just left her on read. By 2004, the friendship between the pair was fractured, and each was in interviews commenting on the other.

After 50 Cent made a disparaging song referencing the actress, Vivica defended herself. She snapped back at the rapper’s claim of her only wanting publicity. It would take years—six, to be specific—before both sides were waving their white flags. Fox starred in one of the Rap mogul’s music videos in 2010. Then, surprisingly, in 2015, Vivica went on a talk show and called 50 Cent the “love of my life.” People were taken aback, considering their short-lived, two-month affair.

50 Cent’s Comments on “Empire”

In 2015, 50 Cent commented on Instagram stating his opinion on why the show Empire dipped. He mentioned that due to “gay stuff,” the show’s success would decline and not have the success it had enjoyed in its first season.  In response, Fox made a controversial comment that would stir social media into a frenzy.

In an interview with Andy Cohen, Fox called it a case of the pot calling the cattle black. The suggestion that 50 Cent was gay sent the internet into a firestorm. Fif loves a good clap back, so he retaliated as he only knew how. The feud was back on as the ex-lovers were at odds. The next few years would be relatively silent between the two, but every so often, one may mention the other. It seemed that 2017 was the year things were publicly all good, although a few hiccups here and there weren’t uncommon.

Vivica Continues To Defend 50

The two had undergone a rough patch during their relationship. However, it seemed the love they had shared was real. In defense of this, in 2022, Vivica came to 50 Cent’s defense in an episode of Cocktails with Queens. While 50 Cent had been accused of having undergone a procedure to enlarge his penis, she quickly defended it. Being a sensitive topic, she did not hesitate to defend her ex and could be seen as having a soft spot for the highly controversial 50 Cent.  

Despite their brief relationship, 50 Cent and Vivica Fox’s relationship is one that stood out among the rest. With the two sharing nothing but respect between them, it remains a mystery what happened between the two. Whether the two were a compatible pair or it was just a brief stint remains a mystery.

Vivica Fox Is Ready For Another “Kill Bill” Film After SZA Visual

There have been mentions of yet another installment in the Kill Bill franchise, and Vivica Fox is here for it. The veteran actress was featured in the first in the series, albeit briefly, as her character was gunned down by The Bride (played by Uma Thurman). Recently, SZA released the music video to her single “Kill Bill,” and the visual was not only inspired by the movie but hosted a feature from Fox.

“Quentin, let’s go!” she told Variety when questioned about a new Kill Bill film. “Absolutely! They say it’s gonna be my daughter growing up, so I know he’s gonna figure out some kinda way. I’m gonna be like, in a flashback or somewhere.”

She also joked about telling her fictional daughter not to try the cereal box move her character executed. “It ain’t gon’ work! It didn’t work for your mama, so don’t you try that.”

“I’d love to work with Quentin, I’d love to work with Uma again,” Fox also said. “It was a lot of training, but awesome.”

The actress further shared that she hasn’t discussed the possibilities with Tarantino just yet. When asked who she would pick to play her daughter in the phantom future Kill Bill film, Fox named Zendaya.

“She’s killing the game, but dream cast would be Zendaya.”

SZA Teases “Kill Bill” Music Video Featuring Vivica A. Fox

SZA is revving up to release a new video for a fan-favorite off of her sophomore album, S.O.S. The TDE songstress debuted the trailer for the single, “Kill Bill” earlier today through TheShadeRoom, who obtained an exclusive clip. Given the song’s title, it appears that SZA is staying true to Quentin Tarantino’s concept, especially since she landed one of the stars of Kill Bill to appear in the video. Vivica A. Fox, who starred in Kill Bill Vol. 1, will make a cameo in the music video.

“THANK YALL !! It’s a song based on the movie… hence the video Lmaooo try not to think too hard . KEEP STREAMING KILL BILL,” SZA commented under The Shade Room’s post.

So far, SZA hasn’t shared a release date for the music video but it appears to be coming soon. And it couldn’t arrive at a better time. The song, along with “Nobody Gets Me” was chosen as the album’s lead singles and will be pushed to radio.

The trailer for “Kill Bill” also comes on the heels of a historic milestone in SZA’s career. The singer’s held the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 for four weeks straight. This week, her album sold 125K units, preventing Taylor Swift’s Midnights from reclaiming the top spot on the chart.

Claudia Jordan Responds to Joe Budden’s Podcast Diss: 'He Should Drink Some Milk'

The back and forth between Joe Budden, Vivica A. Fox, and Claudia Jordan is continuing. A day after Joe Budden blasted both Fox Soul hosts on the latest episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, Jordan has replied in Instagram comments.

“Wow, he’s upset,” she wrote. “He should drink some milk.”

Joe Budden has been under fire for comments made about Megan Thee Stallion on a recent episode of his podcast.

During her Fox Soul show, Cocktails with Queens, Vivica A. Fox came to Megan’s defense and told Joe Budden, “if you don’t button it up and sit your bitch ass down!” Fox would go on to speak to the facts of the trial while also stating Joe Budden is mad because women rule over rap now.

Fox’s co-host, Claudia Jordan, also chimed in, “If you want to talk about somebody doing something bad to someone your friends with, maybe you’re not the one to say that.” Jordan would go on to detail his alleged domestic violence and his beef with Rory and Mal.

“The last time you had a hit, it was hitting a woman,” Jordan said.

Joe Budden heard their words and pulled up the resumes of both Jordan and Vivica A. Fox, telling both women to “shut the fuck up.”

“Vivica Fox, once regarded as the Black woman that all America wanted to be with, just so we clear on that, a long fall from grace,” Budden said. “You bitches don’t know how to usefully use your pussy broth is the problem. Be very careful with how you continue to speak about me.”
