2 Chainz And Lil Wayne Tease “Long Story Short” From “Welcome 2 ColleGrove”

One of the most anticipated releases of 2023 is about to drop next week. On Friday, November 17, 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne are going to be releasing their sequel to their 2016 collaborative record, COLLEGROVE. It is crazy to think that it has been seven years since that album came out. But, the wait is nearly over and we are absolutely stoked to see what these two legends have to offer. It is clear that they still have plenty left in the tank. Lil Wayne has especially been on a tear as of late. He has come out with a precursor project with Tha Fix Before The VI.

Additionally, his feature game has been insane as well. “Brand New,” “Big Dog,” and “Never Die,” are just a few terrific examples of Weezy going back to his roots with his clever one-liners. Now, he and 2 Chainz are looking to bring that same energy and wordplay to Welcome 2 Collegrove. We already got “Presha” not too long ago and now we have one more coming on Friday, November 10.

2 Chainz Teases A New Single

2 Chainz tweeted out just over an hour ago while writing this, sharing a snippet of another single. The title of the track, “Long Story Short,” will of course have both him and Wayne on it. However, there looks to be one more rapper on it. Genius says it features another trap legend, Juicy J. Of course, this trio has given us classics in the past like, “Bandz A Make Her Dance.” Tity Boi dropped a teaser trailer for the accompanying music video, including some of Wayne’s bars.

What are your initial thoughts on 2 Chainz teasing this new song, “Long Story Short,” with Lil Wayne and Juicy J? Will this be the best track on Welcome 2 ColleGrove? Will this project be better than the original? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below. Lil Wayne And 2 Chainz Give Us The First Listen Of “Welcome To ColleGrove” With “Presha”

After a huge announcement from Lil Wayne teasing a little snippet, “Presha,” we now have it on our hands. This is our first taste of the duo’s offering from their highly-awaited collaboration album. HNHH, as well as a lot of other publications, have been calling the album ColleGrove 2. However, if you check out the Genius page for the album, it appears that the official name for it is Welcome to ColleGrove.

What is also interesting, is that there are already quite a few tracks that look to be making the final cut. In fact, 10 other cuts on top of “Presha” are on the tracklist. For now, there are only two features, but they are heavy hitters. Benny The Butcher looks to be appearing on the track, “La La La.” Then, Ty Dolla $ign will most likely be providing the hook on “New One.”

But, let us talk a little bit about “Presha,” the lead single to the album. Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz are a little more carefree on it, especially with the funky trap beat. It is provided by Bangladesh, who have given us plenty of hits with Tunechi and plenty of others. Fans may or may not enjoy this one, but they could be giving us an easier listen just to get the hype up. Give it a try with the YouTube link above.

Two parts of the Black Hippy rap group are gearing up for a big-time single coming very soon. The members we are talking about are Jay Rock and Ab-Soul. Both artists are known to be fairly infrequent when it comes to pushing out new material. However, that has not been the case as of late. Just last year Ab put out his first record in six years with HERBERT. Then, just a few weeks ago, he and T.F joined up for a single, “Hidden Stages.” For Jay Rock, he is getting closer and closer to ending his album drought.

The Los Angeles, California rapper’s last effort was in 2018 with Redemption. Since then, he has been a part of a single with REASON called “At It Again – Remix.” Following that he put out two tracks that are expected to land on his upcoming LP, Eastside Johnny*. There is no word on the release date, but hopefully, the time is near. Jay teamed up with Kal Banx on “Eastside,” and then with Anderson .Paak and Latto on, “Too Fast (Pull Over).” Finally, just a few weeks back he dropped some personal bars on a YouTube exclusive freestyle.

Drake & Cole Bennett Announce Music Video In The Works

Amid a lot of hype for his upcoming album For All The Dogs, Drake recently announced what’s assumedly a big part of his rollout. There are a lot of things that can contribute to a project lead-up: singles, press runs, tours, and of course, music videos. What’s more is that this marks a first-time collaboration between the “Privileged Rappers” MC and one of the best in the game when it comes to visuals. Moreover, he recently posted on his Instagram Story that he’s working on a music video with none other than Cole Bennett. If you don’t recognize that name, you will most definitely recognize many MVs from his long list of directed work via his creative outlet, Lyrical Lemonade.

“Coming soon,” Drake captioned a picture of Cole with a camera with an owl and lemon emoji. “I was gonna keep it a secret but…” Bennett replied in an IG Story of his own reposting Drizzy’s photo. This is overall a very exciting prospect, not just for the historic nature of this team-up but for the anticipation surrounding For All The Dogs. More importantly, though, it’s a massive level-up for the acclaimed director in terms of visibility, though he doesn’t need the OVO mogul to keep building his career forward.

Drake & Cole Bennett Are Cooking Up Something Special

For example, Cole Bennett recently worked with Lil Yachty once more for the video for his recent single, “TESLA.” With colorfully coordinated shots, crisp clarity, and compelling composition, it’s a simple but effective display of his talents. Considering Yachty and Drake’s own great relationship, maybe this is the connection that Bennett needed to link up with the latter. However, with the massive reputation he’s already amassed, there’s no way that the Toronto superstar wasn’t aware of his reach.

No matter how you slice it, this opportunity gathered more conversation and buzz than most music videos these days. It’ll be very exciting to see what they craft together. All we can hope for is that, if they’re happy with it and fans are too, it won’t be their last team-up. For more news and the latest updates on Drake and Cole Bennett, come back to HNHH.

Gillie Da Kid & Joe Budden Resolve Their Beef, Hint At Upcoming Podcast Together

Joe Budden and Gillie Da Kid are two of the most respected and well-known hip-hop media figures, and are both great rappers in their own right. However, for quite some time now, beef and bickering got in between them. For hip-hop’s 50th anniversary, though, it looks like the two and Gillie’s Million Dollaz Worth Of Game co-host Wallo267 are setting all that aside. In a new clip, they all teased an upcoming podcast episode where they will all sit down and talk about the game, their history, and probably a lot more. All in all, it’s quite exciting news not just for fans of this kind of content, but for people who want to see more beefs get squashed in rap music.

After all, it’s a phenomenon that social media has taken full advantage of through clout-chasing and how it boosts sales. In fact, it’s been a common trend for feuds to raise album sales and interest in artists for generations, so it’s not new by any means. For those unaware, Joe Budden and Gillie got into it over fame and wealth, Budden’s past, and their podcasts’ success and controversies. While there’s still a lot to discuss and correct there, it’s heartening to see that it’ll be a dialogue, not an argument.

Furthermore, Wallo spoke in the clip of the importance and weight behind this particular team-up. “This is what you look like when you’re two rappers and it’s over,” he remarked, still keeping up with their cheeky banter when Joe Budden pulled up to Gillie’s home. “We celebrating the 50th year of hip-hop, these is two ancient dinosaurs of hip-hop. This n***a made $3,700 his whole rap career. Joe probably made about $77,000.”

Meanwhile, given how outspoken Budden in particular has been about hip-hop’s 50th, we’re sure that’ll be an important part of the conversation. Media like this aims to analyze, assess, and contribute a compelling and entertaining view of the art form we love. Considering the sheer talent between the three of them, it’s amazing that their three heads will come together to make something special. For more news and the latest updates on Wallo267, Gillie Da King, and Joe Budden, log back into HNHH.
