Pi’erre Bourne Celebrates His Birthday By Dropping Off “Blocs”

Just yesterday it was “Bourne Day” for Pi’erre Bourne. The idiosyncratic rapper and producer is now 31-years-young, so happy birthday to the South Carolina native! For the last several years, he’s given us plenty of pop rap/trap bangers with some of the biggest names in the game. However, he’s also got loads of hits under his own belt as an MC. He’s been laying down rhymes since 2018 and he’s got tons of releases to show for it. At this moment in time, there is a very strong belief and sense of hope from his fans that there will be yet another addition to his LP catalog. That album is Made In Paris, which sounds like exactly what it means.

All of the eventual tracks that will go on to land on this future project are recordings laid down in France’s most iconic city. However, there is not really any confirmed information regarding its release date, but people are speculating October. While we wait in the wings for that, Pi’erre Bourne is here with “Blocs”, a highly awaited track in his canon. As we mentioned, his birthday was yesterday. So, this is essentially a gift back to his loyal supporters and it’s out now on his Instagram only. You can check out the five-minute single and accompanying music video via the link below.

Nardo Wick & BossMan Dlow Remind Everyone Who They Are On “Oh Sh*t”

Nardo Wick has been building a career by bringing a murderous and unforgiving tone to his music. He’s drawn a lot from the playbook of former collaborator 21 Savage, and it was cool to see them tour together during the American Dream run. Since starting his professional career four years ago, the 22-year-old MC has just gotten better and better. However, with all of that time, there’s still only one project to show for it. That would be his 2021 debut, Who is Nardo Wick? In that same breath though, it seems that the Jacksonville native has been hard at work on his sophomore release. Proof of that comes in the form of “Oh Sh*t”, the first song between Nardo Wick and BossMan Dlow.

Both have been doing their thing, so it’s nice to see the bubbling Floridians finally unite. This looks to be single number five for WICK, which is due sometime in October. The lead-off cut looks to be the Sexyy Red joint “Somethin’”, which hit DSPs back in early February. Then, we would receive “Wickstyle”, followed by “Back To Back” featuring Future and Southside, as well as “Deep End”. On “Oh Sh*t”, you are getting both MCs in the braggadocious bag, as they continuously remind themselves and others that they are “him” as they say nowadays.

Kid Cudi Follows Through With Release Of Chip Tha Ripper Collab “DONT WORRY”

Kid Cudi made a promise to fans earlier this month about releasing some new music. “DONT WORRY SEPT 18TH”, the Cleveland, Ohio native said on September 3 via X (formerly Twitter). Attached was a minute and change snippet of that exact song. This track has been floating around the internet for a little bit, with earlier variants of it including a long-time collaborator Chip Tha Ripper. As you can see in the aforementioned tweet, Kid Cudi had plans to drop “DONT WORRY” tomorrow. However, he decided to treat his supporters a day early because it’s out now on YouTube. It has an accompanying music video too, which looks to be filmed in New York.

Before the shots roll, a heartfelt message appears from The Cudster. In it, he thanks the citizens from there for being so welcoming early on in his music career. He writes, “I moved to NY in 2004. Over the years it became my second home. To the people of NY, this is my love letter to you. Thank you for always making me feel like family. I love you endlessly, enjoy. – Scott”. Then, it transitions into the hyped track and it delivers in a multitude of ways. Kid Cudi really brings back the first Man On The Moon era with “DONT WORRY”. From the sticky and spacey melody the instrumental creates, to the passionate rapping and singing from both MCs, it really hits you in the nostalgia bone. What’s also great about this release is that Cudi did tease a potential album for the fall, which would make it his third LP of the year. That time is approaching quickly, so hopefully that comes to fruition.

The Weeknd Brings Out Multiple Versions Of “Dancing In The Flames”

The Weeknd is finally rolling out his next studio album, Hurry Up Tomorrow, as we speak. Over the weekend (no pun intended), the Canadian hitmaker got things going by giving fans an official album cover, bundle pre-saves, as well as a lead single. The latter goes by “Dancing In The Flames” and concertgoers in Sao Paulo, Brazil were able to hear it first and in live format. Overall, it’s a very solid lead-off track, and in some ways, it gives similar vibes to “Blinding Lights” with how instantly replayable it is. With this supposedly being Abel Tesfaye’s last album under The Weeknd moniker and it being the final installment in this latest triology, the lyricism ties in nicely.

Traffic dies while we are racin’ home / Melted lights cover the open road / I hope we make it, ’cause I’ve been chasin’ / Another odyssey, oh“. Since its release on Friday, September 13, fans have been wanting the live version of it to be available on streaming. Well, he announced it would be coming and now it’s here for all to revisit. On top of the “Live From Sao Paulo” edition, there’s an additional four to check out as well. There’s variants such as “Acoustic”, “Acapella”, “Instrumental”, and of course, the original. If you’re on Apple Music, videos from YouTube are included in the EP, too. Stream the all of them at your leisure below.

Nicki Minaj Announces “Pink Friday 3” After Last-Minute Scrapping Of Deluxe

Some of the Barbz have not been too happy with their queen, Nicki Minaj. Over the weekend, the superstar rapper had to deal with concertgoers demanding refunds. They had been voicing their frustrations over her starting shows late, alleged lip-syncing, and not performing certain songs. Obviously, some of these requests are pretty unbelievable, and Nicki was quick to address by detailing how she’s trying to give each tour stop a unique experience. It’s safe to say they won’t be getting their money back, but they are being compensated in a different way. According to announcement from Nicki Minaj (via AllHipHop), she going to be releasing Pink Friday 3 in the near future.

Yes, you heard us correctly, she is going to be turning this tandem of projects into a trilogy! If you remember, the original plan was that she was going to drop the Gag City Reloaded deluxe of Pink Friday 2 on September 13. It had been teased for a few weeks with new snippets and performances of these unreleased tracks on tour. We even received a cover and the whole shebang. But as you are about to read, Nicki explains why she decided to scrap this pretty last minute.

Nicki Minaj Announces Pink Friday 3

“Instead of doing a DELUXE to Pink Friday 2, I’ve decided to do a brand new album. I’ll still incorporate new songs like #Mamita & [The “anxiety” song] for the remainder of the tour tho…and I’ll announce the new date within the next couple weeks. The new music is just too good to be thrown away on a deluxe album”, Minaj said. “Last night, the songs I recorded were just way too iconic. I love you guys so much. You know that. I know you do. I’ll still give you something leading up to the announcement, so no worries.” She also goes onto mention that this era in her career has been extremely fulfilling for her for a multitude of reasons. Unfortunately, for the Barbz, they will have to wait even longer. However, based on reactions across the internet they seem more than happy.

Doechii’s Superstar Potential Grows With Katy Perry Single “I’M HIS, HE’S MINE”

Doechii has been on the come up for over the last year or so. Even though the TDE roster is stacked, she’s managed to remain as one of their most intriguing prospects and this year, she’s really breaking through. Just a couple of weeks ago, she dropped off her excellent mixtape, Alligator Bites Never Heal. While it’s got some flaws, it showcases that she’s got the stuff to be a true superstar. She possesses a lot of charisma, creativity, solid lyricism, as well as crossover appeal thanks to her ability to sing as well. The latter quality is what’s allowing Doechii to get on the radar of modern pop hitmaker Katy Perry.

Their new collab, “I’M HIS, HE’S MINE”, was previewed at the MTV VMAs this past Wednesday with both of them being able to perform it. If this isn’t another step into becoming one of the biggest rappers in the game, we aren’t sure what is. Overall, the song may annoy you on its first couple of listens and could come across as a generic pop rap radio hit. But it is growing on us a little bit, but that’s mostly thanks to Doechii adding some extra oomph to the single. As for Perry, this represents her third offering from her upcoming seventh album, 143, which is due September 20. Apparently, she’s going to be working with more MCs, including 21 Savage and JID, which isn’t too surprising given how many of them she’s worked with in the past.

ELUCID Ups The Weirdness & Unconventionality On “THE WORLD IS DOG”

ELUCID (E L U C I D) is aiming for another one-of-a-kind listening experience with the release of “THE WORLD IS DOG”. This is the third single from the New York City rapper in the last month or so, and it’s also going to be one that lands on a new album. REVELATOR will be his second LP of the year when it hits streaming platforms on October 11 as he already dropped off We Buy Diabetic Test Strips. That was his collab record with billy woods that dropped in February. However, it was also Armand Hammer’s seventh tape as a duo. ELUCID is not done working with billy though, as they will have two more songs together on REVELATOR.

We got one of them already in “INSTANT TRANSFER” alongside “SLUM OF A DISREGARD” which were singles one and two. So far, ELUCID is aiming for a real dystopian like atmosphere for this upcoming LP. There’s lots of distortion thanks to the erratic nature of the production and flows. “THE WORLD IS DOG” has more of that, as ELUCID raps in spoken word with great ferocity. As far as the beat goes, there’s a sense of chaos with its industrial and fast-paced drum patterns. Finally, in terms of the theme, it’s pretty loose as well. But it seems like ELUCID is aiming to focus on arrogance and being able to live a life that he wants and he’s not going to let anyone dictate it.

GloRilla Announces Debut Album And It’s Coming Very Soon

GloRilla has being seeing a lot of success in 2024, but she’s about to see even more when she releases her debut album. According to HipHopDX, the Memphis rapper revealed this bombshell while on the red carpet of the MTV VMAs this past Wednesday. She spoke with Extra TV and spilled the beans pretty much immediately. “I’m dropping an album next month, in October”, she began. In fact, she’s so excited and confident about this next project that she’s already declaring it’s going to be a chart topper. “I’m so excited about that. We gon’ go number one!”.

Furthermore, Big Glo gave the interviewer a small hint about the direction in terms of the title. “It start with a G”, she said. For now, that’s about all we know about the “Yeah Glo!” hitmaker’s debut. However, there’s always some things we can speculate on. For starters, we can probably assume that “TGIF”, her most recent release, will go on to serve as the lead single.

GloRilla Says Her Debut Will Be Out In October

Furthermore, we can probably bet that she will drop at least one or two more tracks ahead of its release. One of them could be the song she previewed on her social media that led to some heavy backlash based on its original use of the R-word. If you remember, she did wind up changing the lyrics and a potential title for it is “Hol’ On”. For now though, we are excited that the debut is on the way soon and we cannot wait to see what’s in store.

What are your thoughts on GloRilla announcing her debut album? Do you think this will be her strongest project yet? Is Ehhthang Ehhthang still in your rotation? IDK Raps With Confidence & Hunger On “KiCKIN”

IDK is someone you can predict to be unpredictable. He can rap and sing and he’s always messing around with sonics. However, for this newest album roll out, the Maryland artist is taking a more contemporary approach. The production styles thus far have been very crisp and clean with the current sound palette being a mix of trap and boom-bap. “DENiM” got the ball rolling, and it had a nice appearance from Joey Bada$$. Then we got to hear IDK work with one of the biggest producers and ATL spitters of this generation on “TiFFANY”. The unofficial duo of Turbo and Gunna proved to pair nicely with the lead MC.

Now, for the third record, IDK is riding solo on “KiCKIN”. Again, though, he’s rapping over some more familiar trap soundscapes, with a nice change-up with chimes which is pleasant on the ears. As far as the lyrical content goes, IDK is giving you lots of brags and chants of “Can’t touch this, can’t touch this, can’t touch this“. Additionally, there’s some charismatic bars sprinkled in like, “They see what I’m whippin’, they pullin’ me over / They ask what I’m doin’, like Yachty and Ian, I’m thuggin’“. Sadly, we won’t be able to hear what BRAVADO iNTiMO has to offer until the end of the year. But check out “KiCKIN” with the link below.
