POLO PERKS <3 <3 <3 & FearDorian Continue To Tease A Supposed Album With “Skatepark”

POLO PERKS, stylized as POLO PERKS <3 <3 <3, is becoming one of hip-hop’s more unique artists thanks to his relationship with producer FearDorian. It seems that the combo of the Harlem, New Yorker and Atlanta Georgian are always looking to challenge each other in the studio. That was certainly the case on the most recent single, “Ricky Eats Acid”. Now, POLO PERKS is back not too long after that April 26 release with “Skatepark”.

We first heard of this duo not too long ago and we felt we had to start covering them. But the longtime supporters know that POLO PERKS and FearDorian have been at it for a while now. In the rapper is several projects deep and has been in the game since 2018. But him and Fear’s wacky and carefree style is starting to finally catch on, which is great to see for these hard-working dudes.

It seems that both “Skatepark” and “Ricky Eats Acid” are for a rumored album in the works. Throughout POLO’s Instagram account, his last several posts have included a certain hashtag. “#ADOGSCHANCE” has been attached to the uploads that have to do with new music. So, this got us thinking that him and FearDorian are close to the finish line here. There is no information on when this alleged A DOGS CHANCE will drop, but we are excited for it.

What are your thoughts on “Skatepark” by POLO PERKS <3 <3 <3 and FearDorian? Is this one of his better songs as of late, why or why not? Do you think this for his next alleged project A DOGS CHANCE? Raveena & JPEGMAFIA Deliver A Cute Late Summer Night Love Song “Junebug”

Raveena is a name that you need to get familiar with if you are an R&B/soul fan of any kind. We fully guarantee she will whisk you away with her angelic vocals and melodies. Just over two years ago, the Indian-American singer from New York dropped off her sophomore LP, Asha’s Awakening. It received some pretty positive critical acclaim, and soon she is going to be leaving off her third album. Butterflies Go in the Rain will hit streaming platforms on June 14. But before that arrives, Raveena has one more track to offer up called “Junebug” with JPEGMAFIA.

You may be wondering, “How are these starkly different artists going to mesh together?”. The answer is very well. In fact, we would even go as far as to say flawlessly. Peggy ditches the screamy and shouty cadence for a smooth and measured delivery, perfectly aligning himself with what is going on sonically. Raveena pens some sweet, but not too sugary lines about a summer love.

Raveena did explain why she likes working with other artists that are so unique compared to her, which helps put the pieces of the puzzle together. According to Stereogum, she says, “I love inviting people with vastly different sonic landscapes to my music. To me, it is proof of our oneness and divine inter-connectedness. JPEGMAFIA brought the perfect energy to this summertime song — and I think we both aligned on this song with our mutual love for the tropics, with me being from India and Peggy from Jamaica.”

What are your thoughts on “Junebug” by Raveena and JPEGMAFIA? Is this one of his better songs of the summer so far, why or why not? Does this get you excited for her forthcoming album, Where the Butterflies Go in the Rain? Were you surprised by how well these two sounded together? Mustard Unveils Album Trailer For Forthcoming LP “Faith Of A Mustard Seed”: Watch

Mustard has been pretty silent over the last couple of years. The last time we heard from him musically speaking was in 2022, when he made some beats for Vince Staples, Ty Dolla $ign and Lil Durk, as well as Quavo and Takeoff. In terms of albums, the California-born beat maker has not added anything since 2019’s Perfect Ten. That third LP boasted mega hits such as “Ballin’” with Roddy Ricch, “Pure Water” with the Migos, and “Baguettes in the Face” featuring NAV, Playboi Carti, and A Boogie Wit da Hoodie. However, things are going to be a whole different in 2024 for Mustard, as he will be dropping Faith Of A Mustard Seed very soon.

This news is hot off the presses, as an accompanying trailer has only been out for about an hour. According to HipHopNMore, the title was inspired by the Bible verse from Matthew 17:20. It essentially means that no matter how small an act of kindness you do for someone, the impacts can still be massive. This fourth studio album is obviously coming right off the heels of his explosive team-up with Kendrick Lamar. “Not Like Us” has become one of the biggest songs of the year overall for many reasons.

Mustard Is Reestablishing Himself With New Album

The number one song was the nail in the coffin in viral battle between Dot and Drake. It also features a killer and instantly memorable instrumental. There is a good chance this song never reaches the top of the charts without the accessible beat. Furthermore, it is also the song of the West Coast and possibly the summer with its incredible number of quotables. In the trailer above, many past collaborators and potential guests are peppered throughout. Travis Scott, Quavo, A Boogie, Lil Durk, Don Toliver, and more all appear.

What are your thoughts on the album trailer for Faith Of A Mustard Seed by Mustard? Will this be a top-tier producer album of 2024, why or why not? Do you think “Not Like Us” will land on the project? Who would you want to see on the album? Could you see the cameos making appearances? What aspect of the song did you enjoy the most? Is he the best new rapper out of Milwaukee? Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Mustard. C Stunna & Real Boston Richey Coast Over An Ominous Beat On “Lose Control”

Two of Florida’s newest stars are teaming up to make waves along the East Coast. Those two gentlemen are C Stunna and Real Boston Richey and they have recently collaborated on a track called “Lose Control”. This is the former’s second release of the year, and it follows up on “Curtis Jackson”, which dropped in April. What is even better is that C Stunna is coming through with a new album very soon.

2021 was the last time we got a new tape from him, which was called Stone Cold Stunna. It was nearly a total solo project outside of one track. 2020 saw him drop his first two LPs, Stunna 4 President and then Stunna Season prior to that. So, this has certainly been a long time coming for someone who is still looking to make their mark.

“Lose Control” could have been a mixed bag. Even with the Florida connection, C Stunna and Real Boston Richey have never worked with one another. However, they put any chemistry questions to bed, as they effortlessly trade verses on this song. They pick each other up, keeping the momentum high. The beat may be the most standout feature, as the dark, cavernous, bassy instrumental is the perfect back drop for the lyrics and flows brought.

What are your thoughts on “Lose Control” by C Stunna and Real Boston Richey? Who had the stronger performance on the track? Does this get you excited for Stunna has in the works, why or why not? Is this his best single of the year? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Tech N9ne & Skatterman & Snug Brim Want That “Drippy Drop” On Single For Upcoming LP

When it comes to respected spitters in hip-hop, not many trump Tech N9ne. The Kansas City, Missouri possesses the incredible knack of mastering flows, everything from speedy to methodical. While he is not doing mainstream numbers anymore, he can still bust out some solid material. Tech N9ne’s latest single, “Drippy Drop”, is one case of that.

Most people are enjoying it so far due to the reunion of Tech and his former Strange Music label teammate, Skatterman. Additionally, Snug Brim is in the mix, so the underground vibes are strong on this one. On “Drippy Drop”, all three veterans are rapping over a pretty by the numbers pop rap beat while wanting to get freaky with their love interests. Some of the bars are downright a riot and got us to laugh quite a bit.

In addition to an old school reunion, this single is also getting a lot of attention due to the fact that it is a promo track. Pretty soon Tech N9ne will be dropping a new album, COSM, which will hit streaming on July 12. But this is not just a standard Tech tape, this is a “Collabos” entry. This is a long running album series and this will be the ninth of its kind. It will also end a historic seven-drought, which is the longest run without one.

What are your thoughts on “Drippy Drop” by Tech N9ne and Skatterman & Snug Brim? How do you feel about Tech making a pop rap song like this? Who had the stronger performance on the track? Does this get you excited for COSM, why or why not? Is this the best single from the tape? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Chance The Rapper Releases Snippet Of Possible “Star Line” Single & Fans Are Head Over Heels For It

Chance the Rapper certainly dug himself into a deep hole when he dropped his debut studio album The Big Day. The 2019 project did boast quite an impressive feature list of Smino, Nicki Minaj, Lil Durk, Gucci Mane to even Shawn Mendes. However, after a successful run of mixtapes — Coloring Book (2016), Acid Rap (2013), and 10 Day (2012) — fans were expecting greatness. But nearly everyone was left lost and extremely disappointed. After that, the once beloved figure from Chicago was viewed as washed up. The mood does seem to be changing around Chance the Rapper, though, especially with these new singles and snippets.

After a long run of features for about three years, 2022 saw him drop some new solo material. From songs like “Child of God” to the most recent “Together”, these singles are possible cuts for Star Line. Sometimes called Star Line Gallery, it has been getting a lot of hype thanks to Chance’s improved performances. Even his “Writing Exercise” loosies have people excited again and rightfully so.

Chance Receives Nothing But Love For His Snippet

The hip-hop world is still awaiting a release date for Star Line. But there is no reason not to believe that it could drop in 2024. Even though we greedily want a concrete answer, Chance is keeping us full with these sporadic releases, including this most recent snippet above. It has been making the rounds online and it sees the veteran bring some dizzying flows and a little comedy to a drum-heavy beat. If this is the type of music we will receive, then Chance will have no problem reingratiating himself.

What are your thoughts on this new snippet from Chance the Rapper? Do you think that this upcoming project will be his best body of work, why or why not? Is this the best snippet/song you have heard for Star Line? If this album is great, will it put him back near the top of the list for best rappers out right now? Joey Valence & Brae Team Up With The Equally Eccentric Danny Brown For Rambunctious Banger “PACKAPUNCH”

We got another duo of rappers that are going to make a huge splash in the impending days. That would be the Pennsylvania tandem of Joey Valence & Brae. These two got their start in 2021 and are mixing elements of 90s boom-bap, alternative, with a punk-like aesthetic. Joey plays the role of MC and producer, whereas Brae is strictly a vocalist. They have a fun in-your-face style, something that is sort of missing from today’s rap scene. On June 7, Joey Valence & Brae will drop their sophomore album NO HANDS, and to bring some ears to it, they are here with “PACKAPUNCH”.

This is the fourth and final single from what will be a 12-song project. The first of the teasers, “WHERE U FROM”, a synth-heavy bop, dropped back on January 19. They would then follow that up with the rage-like “JOHN CENA” on March 1. Finally, their rowdy a** popping cut “THE BADDEST”, would come out on April 26. For “PACKAPUNCH”, Joey and Brae are working alongside someone who could be seen as an inspiration to their approach, Danny Brown.

According to an interview with Vents Magazine, Joey and Brae explained how this head-nodding banger came to be. Joey says it was essentially a half-court heave. “It was one of those shoot your shot moments. And he was like, ‘Yeah, I actually really f*** with you guys’”. Good thing they went for it, because “PACKAPUNCH” is going to help NO HANDS knockout the competition this coming weekend.

What are your thoughts on “PACKAPUNCH” by Joey Valence & Brae and Danny Brown? Is this the duo’s best song of their career so far, why or why not? Denzel Curry Reveals Insane Feature List For Possibly His Second To Last Album

Denzel Curry easily possesses one of the most consistent discographies out of any rapper from the 2010s era. You could throw up his run of Imperial, TA13BOO, ZUU, UNLOCKED, and Melt My Eyez See Your Future against almost anyone. With nearly each release, especially when it is conceptual, Zel has one upped himself each time. Even when it comes to the shorter and straightforward releases like ZUU and UNLOCKED, he is still delivering engaging material. Yet and still, Denzel Curry somehow finds himself in this weird middle ground between mainstream and “underground”. Well, he is certainly gunning for more of a widespread appeal on his forthcoming project.

NFR Podcast and numerous others have discovered that Curry is grabbing some major players for what is to be one of his last records. The Florida multi-hyphenate shared what may be the cover art, which includes a shelf of some iconic hip-hop’s most iconic albums on IG. In that post he tagged all of the guests, and they are incredible. Fans can expect to hear the likes of A$AP Rocky & Ferg (FERG), 2 Chainz, Ski Mask The Slump God, Ty Dolla $ign, That Mexican OT, and more. We still do not have a release date yet, nor the title of the LP, although a few names have circled.

The two most popular include ULTRAGROUND and ZXLTRXN BIG ULTRA. While those bits of information are up in the air, we also hope that the end Denzel’s music career is still an unknown. As we mentioned, this has the possibility of being one of his last bodies of work. Potentially, it could be his second to last. Four years ago, Curry revealed to XXL that he would dropping three more albums after 2020. We got the first of the supposed three with Melt My Eyez in 2022, so this impending ’24 effort would leave room for one more. Zel also mentioned that he has been working on a manga, wants to get into acting, and has aspirations of becoming animator/director. Whatever the road ahead looks like for him, we are going to enjoy the ride for now.

What are your thoughts on the feature list for the upcoming Denzel Curry album? Who are you the most excited to hear on this unnamed project and why? Open Mike Eagle’s Previous Industries Leaves Off Loose & Abstract Single “Zayre”

Just a few months ago, a new three-headed monster was born. That would the combination of underground hip-hop greats Open Mike Eagle, Video Dave, and STILL RIFT. Together they are known as Previous Industries, and their de facto leader is the first of those three names. If you know anything about these guys, you are well aware by now that doing things by the conventional hip-hop playbook is not the forte. When you go into their music, you are in for a one-of-a-kind listening experience almost every time. Even though these three gentlemen are Chicago natives, they are currently based out of the L.A. area. Pretty soon, these East coasters are going to be dropping their first album.

But before that comes, Previous Industries is back with a new promotional single called “Zayre”. This is their third drop overall, but it is their fourth track. Their inaugural release was a two-pack consisting of “Showbiz” and “Braids”. After that followed “Pliers”, which hit platforms on April 23.

One thing that is cool about each song title so far, is that each one is a reference to a former business. You can credit Stereogum for discovering that neat fun fact. What is even cooler is that Previous Industries is playing into this quite a bit, even including hidden meaning in their lyrics. “When you have time, watch the commercials for Zayre and know that it was a real place where people bought action figures and pants. The producer Child Actor is a genius. He showed us his formula once, and we got really scared… There’s secret lyrics to the hook that [Open Mike Eagle will] never tell you. Dave might tell you for the right price, but he never will”. Fans can try and discover more hidden gems when Service Merchandise drops on June 28.

Lucky Daye Is Letting His Walls All The Way Down On “Soft”

Lucky Daye, former American Idol contestant and RCA Records signee, is back with a brand-new single “Soft”. This is the New Orleans, Louisiana native’s third offering from his forthcoming third studio record, Algorithm. It will be his first project since 2022’s Candydrip, a record that featured the likes of Lil Durk, Smino, and Chiiild. Of course, the solo tracks such as “Over” and “Deserve” were standouts. So far, Lucky Daye has impressed fans with “HERicane” and “That’s You”, and “Soft” seems to be on the path of being another hit.

On this song, Lucky is singing about a woman that he is so infatuated with. The attraction is so strong in fact that he is becoming his most vulnerable self. Lucky Daye spoke with RCA about what “Soft” means to him. “‘Soft’ is about how love can come over a person and make them feel vulnerable, and whilst it’s unexpected, it’s also okay to embrace it”.

He continues, “To be comfortable doing the things society labels “soft” like cuddling, PDA, hugging and kissing – shamelessly. It’s about a lover putting a spell on you but that spell is in fact love itself”. The opening lines (below) and lyrics later on in the track accurately depict said feelings over a rock/R&B instrumental that just makes sense sonically. If you cannot enjoy the guitar solo thrown in on the back half, then we do not know what to tell you. Lucky Daye’s Algorithm is due out on June 28.

What are your thoughts on “Soft” by Lucky Daye? Is this the best single as of late, why or why not? Does this pique your interest in what his upcoming album could be?
