Mo’Nique Goes Off on Oprah And Tyler Perry In Fiery Rant

Mo’Nique is using some harsh language to rekindle her years-long feud with Oprah and Tyler Perry by criticizing them once more. She is currently touring with Katt Williams, who, as you may know, set the world on fire, calling out half the entertainment industry on Club Shay Shay. During Williams’s latest stop in his comedy tour, Mo’Nique got up on stage. The comedian and she went on a wild rant against Oprah and Tyler Perry. Her rant was full of a lot of profanity to help give even more context to her visible disdain for the pair. In her wild rant, she referred to Perry and Oprah as”coon motherf*****s.”

Before Mo’Nique got to her rant, she got the crowd to join her in an “F* YOU OPRAH WINFREY, F* YOU TYLER PERRY!!” chant. Some audience members were eager to join in the fun. Others appeared apprehensive at the fire being thrown Oprah’s way, which is why Mo’Nique called out some Oprah admirers in the crowd. She even urged a man in the audience to have sex with her in order to bring Oprah “back to Black.”

Mo’Nique Goes On Wild Tirade Against Oprah And Tyler Perry

At one point, Mo’Nique professes that she does, in fact, have love for Oprah but then immediately calls her “simple-minded” and a “raggedy b***h”. Mo’Nique declares she won’t take back any remarks made on the set. She also, at some point, called in to question the nature of Oprah’s friendship with Gayle King and alluded to their possible romantic involvement. The comedian said, “I’m too motherf***ing old to be scared of this bitch. I’m too old to be intimidated by this bitch. I’m too old to hold the motherf***ing truth.”

Mo’Nique’s hatred and beef with Oprah and Tyler Perry stems from the comedian believing she was blackballed by the powerful Hollywood figures. She claims she was blackballed after she refused to do press for her role in 2009’s Precious. Over the years, the comedian has constantly attacked Oprah and Tyler, accusing them of attempting to ruin her career. On Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast, Mo’Nique claimed to have a damming recording of Tyler Perry admitting to bad-mouthing her. Perry has denied those allegations. Overall, it is a giant mess, and Mo’Nique is dangerous with a microphone in her hand.

50 Cent Compared To Tyler Perry On Social Media Due To This Hilarious Link

50 Cent recently opened up his G-Unit Film & Television studio in Shreveport, Louisiana, which obviously resulted in a lot of fanfare and celebration. Moreover, reports from XXL suggest that the 956,000-square-foot property became the second-largest Black-owned production studio in the world, right behind Tyler Perry’s titular studio in Atlanta, which he launched in 2019. In fact, the lot is the biggest studio in the U.S. and the first one with African American ownership. As such, people online started to compare Fif to being the “male” version of Perry, cheekily referencing the entertainment mogul’s role as Madea in a host of popular media.

Furthermore, 50 Cent seemed very appreciative and excited, especially at the ceremony at the city’s Government Plaza where he signed a symbolic a lease to open the studio and got the key to the city. In fact, the Queens rapper also commented on Mayor Tom Arceneaux, who was there to honor him as well, in an Instagram post commemorating the occasion. “Mayor Tom Arceneaux really cares about people,” he wrote as the post’s caption, which included pictures of them at the event. “I talked to him today I was really impressed with his energy. I usually be like [eyes emoji] wait a minute, when politicians are involved but I think he is a whole good guy. WTF.”

Meanwhile, Perry was recently in some one-sided feuding with Mo’Nique amid the comedy world drama that kicked this year off with a bang. Perhaps we’ll never know what really came of all this, but it’s still a hot topic of conversation. G-Unit’s got one heck of a documentary to produce if they ever wanted to give that a shot. Tyler Perry is ‘A Little Annoyed’ with How Long it’s Taking to Make ‘Sister Act 3’

Tyler Perry is 'A Little Annoyed' with How Long it's Taking to Make 'Sister Act 3'

You know Tyler Perry stays busy, and after the release of his newest film, Mea Culpa, he gave an update on one film fans from across the spectrum want to see: Sister Act 3

Perry was interviewed by Entertainment Tonight and explained why the second sequel and third installment of the franchise are taking so long to come together. “I’m a little annoyed with how long this has taken me. It’s taking so long, like I’ve done four movies since we started talking about this,”

Perry also said, “When I’m outside producing with — you know, Disney’s a huge, wonderful company, but I really want to get this movie, and Whoopi really wants to get this movie.”

Perry is producing the film, and the good news is that Whoopi Goldberg is reprising her memorable leading role as Dolores Van Cartier/Sister Mary Clarence. Get this: Goldberg has been vocal about wanting Keke Palmer, Lizzo, Sheryl Lee Ralph, and more to be involved with the new Sister Act, but there have been no other significant cast confirmations.

“It’s coming. We gotta shoot it, but it’s happening,” Said Goldberg in her own conversation with Entertainment Tonight a couple years back in 2022. “You’re never fully happy with a script because one of the things you find is you wanna have the space to make an adjustment if you need to. Sometimes what looks right on paper doesn’t come out of your mouth the right way. You have to move it around a little bit but I’m very hopeful people will be happy.”

Going back even further, the original announcement came out in 2020 as it was set to be released on Disney+. What we do know is Sister Act 3 is most certainly the next film in the successful franchise 30 plus years in the making following 1993’s Sister Act 2: Bad In The Habit. Okay, Tyler, let’s get going … kidding (prayer hands emoji).

Tyler Perry Puts $800M Studio Expansion on Hold After Seeing Possibilities of OpenAI

Tyler Perry Puts $800M Studio Expansion on Hold After Seeing Possibilities of OpenAI

Artificial intelligence gives Tyler Perry something to consider regarding his massive $800 million studio expansion after witnessing the wide-ranging potential of OpenAI’s text-to-video model Sora.

IndieWire reported that even though Perry invested four years planning the studio expansion, “which would have added 12 soundstages to the backlot,” it will be “indefinitely on hold.” Now get this: Perry described the evolving tech as “mind-blowing.”

“All of that is currently and indefinitely on hold because of Sora and what I’m seeing,” Perry said. “I had gotten word over the last year or so that this was coming, but I had no idea until I saw recently the demonstrations of what it’s able to do. It’s shocking to me. Being told that it can do all of these things is one thing, but actually seeing the capabilities, it was mind-blowing.”

Apparently, Sora, said Perry, could make it so that studios don’t have to do multiple-location shoots for films or even build practical sets. Perry is no stranger to AI integration, and he’s used the tech in upcoming films for aging makeup. Now, that’s scary for makeup artists in the business, but he did say, per the article, that AI could adversely affect below-the-line workers… Hmm, you think?

“It makes me worry so much about all of the people in the business. Because as I was looking at it, I immediately started thinking of everyone in the industry who would be affected by this, including actors and grip and electric and transportation and sound and editors, and looking at this, I’m thinking this will touch every corner of our industry,” Perry said. “I am very, very concerned that in the near future, a lot of jobs are going to be lost. I really, really feel that very strongly.”

Perry seems conscious of the potential pitfalls as it impacts the blue-collar side of the industry and stresses an “all hands on [deck]” approach to controlling AI and how it may affect skilled workers in the business.

“It can’t be one union fighting every contract every two or three years. I think that it has to be everybody, all involved in how do we protect the future of our industry because it is changing rapidly, right before our eyes,” he added, and went on to express concern in protecting workers when using AI. “I think the only way to move forward in this is to galvanize it as one voice, not only in Hollywood and in this industry, but also in Congress.”

Let’s see how this plays out for Perry, but it’s safe to say AI is here to stay.
