Critically-acclaimed BET+ dramedy series “Average Joe,” starring Deon Cole, just got a bit of good news. The series has been renewed for a second Season. Cole will is set to return, reprising his character.

Inspired by the life of creator Robb Cullen, AVERAGE JOE is a darkly comedic, intense one-hour drama set in “The Hill” district of Pittsburgh. Blue-collar plumber, Joe Washington, discovers his recently deceased father lived a secret second life and stole millions of dollars from dangerous people just before he died. Now those people think Joe knows where the money is. A bloody and violent confrontation triggers a chain of events that force Joe and his close-knit circle of family and friends out of their very average and mundane lives into a life-or-death race against time to find the truth and the millions.
In addition to Cole, the cast of Season 1 starred Tammy Townsend, Malcolm Barrett, Cynthia Kaye McWilliams, Michael Trucco, Ashley Olivia Fisher, Pasha Lychnikoff and Ashani Perkins. Robb Cullen, McG, Corey Marsh, Mary Viola, and Deb Evans are back to executive produce the series. Rose Catherine Pinkney are executive producing for BET.

Last week, it was reported that Brittany Eady allegedly threatened her Real Housewives co-star Kenya Moore with a gun during an argument. The shocking accusations made their rounds online, prompting curiosity around what could have caused such an explosive alleged incident. “I have a gun for b****es like you,” she allegedly said.
Eventually, sources who claimed to have witnessed the argument spoke to The Neighborhood Talk, accusing Moore of sharing explicit photos of Eady with others at her salon. Allegedly, the word got back to Eady, who wasted no time confronting Moore. Eady later took to her Instagram Story to remind her followers that “BULLYING and revenge porn is never okay.”
Now, new audio from the event has surfaced online, showcasing just how ugly the exchange was. In it, Moore can be heard accusing Eady of being an “escort” and charging $1.4K for her services. She also called her various names. She even alleged that Yo Gotti once asked Eady to send him an explicit photo of herself on Snapchat, and accused her of going through with it. Obviously, this doesn’t prove that Moore showed anyone Eady’s graphic photos, but social media users are outraged regardless after hearing her speak to her fellow cast member this way.
Moore seemingly denied allegations of bullying and revenge porn on her Instagram Story shortly after Eady thanked fans for their support amid the scandal. “Believe none of what you hear and half of what you see. Netflix has announced that the hit comedy series The Upshaws will return for a final season, consisting of 12 episodes. The show’s penultimate part, Part 6, is set to premiere in early 2025.
Regina Hicks expressed her gratitude to Netflix, saying, “Truly grateful to Netflix for giving us this season to once again bring the warmth and funny that we’re known for (and with this fifth and final-some closure) to our Upshaws family.” Wanda Sykes also shared her appreciation, stating, “A heartfelt thanks to Netflix for letting us send off The Upshaws with this fifth and final season. We are excited to give the show and the fans a proper farewell.”
The Upshaws follows Bennie Upshaw (Mike Epps), the head of a Black working-class family in Indianapolis. Bennie is a charming, well-intentioned mechanic and lifelong mess, doing his best to care for his family. This includes his wife Regina (Kim Fields), their two young daughters (Khali Spraggins, Journey Christine), his firstborn son (Jermelle Simon), and his teenage son (Diamond Lyons), whom he fathered with another woman (Gabrielle Dennis). He also contends with his sardonic sister-in-law (Wanda Sykes).
Despite the challenges, the Upshaws are determined to navigate life’s ups and downs together. The upcoming part will see the family facing new jobs, bigger dreams, health struggles, and major life surprises, all while holding onto the love that binds them.

Photographer Erik Robinson was at the scene, and on social media, he revealed just how shaken up he was by everything. “I am still trying recover myself. I couldn’t even take a photo, my mouth fell to the floor and I am just in awe like that was the most deadliest scene probably ever filmed on the franchise,” Robinson wrote.
Another cast member, Drew Sidora, also spoke on the situation, saying “I’m flabbergasted and floored.” Needless to say, this is a very serious situation, and those involved are at a loss for words. However, neither Eady or Moore have spoken out about what happened. In fact, there is no telling if RHOA will put out a statement or even part ways with either of the cast members. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence have been making the rounds to support their new film Bad Boys: Ride or Die. The two icons, stars of their own ’90s sitcoms, pulled up on Nightcap with Shannon Sharpe and revealed which sitcom was better: The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air or Martin.
“It wasn’t even a competition,” Smith answered. “Martin was hands down funnier than me. I used to study this dude in pure jealousy at the level of comedic genius that he could portray. I’m an actor that needs a script. Martin, you can just roll and say, ‘Go’ and just let it rip and make it up and different takes and all of that and just how he used his body and he’ll look and notice something in the room and grab it and use it. It was a level of comedic genius that was stunning to me.
Martin Lawrence wants fans to know that he is doing well. After a recent event in which it appears his Bad Boys co-star Will Smith is leading him upstairs and another in which he seems unfocused in an interview, Martin is speaking out.

“The View” experienced an emotional moment as Whoopi Goldberg reunited with the cast and crew of “Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit.” The reunion brought tears to Goldberg’s eyes as she reconnected with Kathy Najimy, Wendy Makkena, Sheryl Lee Ralph, and other cast members. A recreation of the “Joyful, Joyful” choir scene further heightened the emotions, with Tanya Trotter taking over the solo originally performed by Lauryn Hill.
In character, Goldberg donned her nun outfit and joined the choir, performing alongside Ryan Toby (who played Ahmal in the film) and her daughter, supported by students from LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts. Following the performance, Goldberg, overwhelmed with emotions, was comforted by Ralph.
In case you never saw the film, “Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit,” was directed by Bill Duke and released in 1993, and is a sequel to the 1992 film “Sister Act.” The sequel follows Deloris Van Cartier (Goldberg), now a famous Las Vegas performer, who is asked by her nun friends to help save their school. The film is loosely based on the life of Crenshaw High School choir instructor Iris Stevenson.

This is sad news for fans of The CW series All American: Homecoming. News outlets have reported that the show has been canceled.
Its upcoming third season is set to be its last. This unfortunate update on the beloved series comes just two weeks after reports suggested the show would unlikely return for a fourth season. Bummer.
So, executive producer Nkechi Okoro Carroll expressed her accepted disappointment at the turn of events with her show:
“I’m devastated to learn that All American: Homecoming will not be moving forward with more episodes and that this new season premiering in July will be our final one. However, I am so very grateful to have worked with this incredible cast and crew, led by Geffri Maya, to bring the authentic HBCU experience to your screens for the last three seasons.”
She added: “We made this show for the culture and thank our loyal audience and fans for taking this ride with us. We made this show so that our community, our kids and their dreams could be seen and celebrated every week and we are proud to say we accomplished that mission, especially with this exciting final season which we can’t wait to show you all. So with a heavy but proud heart, I give one final shoutout to our favorite Bringston Lions!”

Raven, known for her outspoken nature, took to social media to address the negative comments directed at her wife. In a recent interview with E! News, the “That’s So Raven” star explained why it was crucial to respond to the criticism.
“It was so important because my wife didn’t deserve the backlash that she was receiving,” Raven stated. “She didn’t say anything offensive to a culture or me or herself, and they were miscategorizing her, period.”
