After facing multiple delays in his arraignment process, Duane “Keefe D” Davis finally pleaded not guilty in Tupac Shakur’s murder case. Moreover, he appeared in Clark County court on Thursday (November 2) in Las Vegas alongside his public defender, which he got after he couldn’t afford a lawyer. Of course, this falls within predictions of what we expected Davis to state, as a not guilty plea seems obvious in these circumstances. After all, he was quite calm in the backseat of the police car, or at least from the body-cam footage of his arrest that we saw. Regardless, now the gears will start turning to unveil whether the 60-year-old is truly responsible for the hip-hop legend’s tragic passing.
Furthermore, this follows years of Keefe D boasting and commenting on Tupac’s murder in ways that link him to the crime. For example, he claimed that he gave his nephew Orlando Anderson the murder weapon that took ‘Pac’s life back in 1996. Amid other allusions to the mystery, this is apparently what caused investigators and prosecutors to reopen this case. However, this is far from the only accusation or narrative at play in this story.
Not only is Keefe D at the center of these accusations, but folks also roped Diddy into the list of suspects. His former bodyguard, Gene Deal, recently spoke to The Art Of Dialogue about what many see as a suspicious bond between the two. “Keefe D, I’ve seen him a number of times,” Deal remarked. “[He and Diddy] were gambling together, they were drinking together, they had fun, they was hanging out in hotels. Yes, they did have a relationship. As far as me having any information whether he commissioned Keefe D to do a murder, nah bruh, that ain’t me. They can ask me, did I see Keefe D? Yes, I did. Was he around? Yes, he was.”
Meanwhile, this is adding another conspiratorial layer to this current trial, which will surely be relevant. But these theories and speculative comments have existed from the day that the Death Row icon left this Earth. As such, maybe this trial will bring justice forward, or it will continue a cycle of dead ends. On that note, stay posted on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Keefe D and Tupac Shakur.
The Hollywood Walk of Fame, a glittering constellation of stars that snake through the heart of Tinseltown, stands as a hallowed ground of recognition in entertainment. The star that would bear Tupac’s name fell under the Recording category, but don’t be fooled. Tupac was more than his records. He starred in films like Poetic Justice, Gang Related, Juice, and Above the Rim. His artistry was a whirlwind, a tempest that captivates and never stops.

He raps, he acts, he hosts a television show, he cooks, and helps community kids with his philanthropic work,” said Ana Martinez, per Hollywood Walk of Fame. “He is a man of the ages and we welcome him to our Hollywood Walk of Fame.”
In a twisted performance that could only be orchestrated by Snoop himself, the man of the hour made the celebration all about, well, himself. “I want to thank me for believing in me, I want to thank me for doing all this hard work,” he said as per Billboard. Snoop Dogg had his star unveiled by Dr. Dre, Quincy Jones and Jimmy Kimmel. The actor and rapper is known for his hits such as “Gin and Juice” and “Drop It Like It’s Hot.” Snoop Dogg also appears in classic movies like Training Day and Half Baked.

Yet, despite the odds stacked against him, he discovered his passion for rapping. Then, in 2000, fate, wielding bullets and chaos as its weapons, rained down nine rounds of reckoning. Instead of succumbing, 50 Cent harnessed the hailstorm as a ladder to the stars. The rapper would release his debut album, Get Rich or Die Tryin, three years later. A new biography on one of the greatest rappers to ever touch a mic, Tupac Shakur, is now available. Staci Robinson wrote it, and it even got the approval of the late MC’s mother, Afeni Shakur Davis, before her passing in 2016. However, that’s not the most tantalizing part of this story. Moreover, it’s the revelations held in conversations with ‘Pac’s sister, Sekyiwa “Set” Shakur, who spoke to Robinson for this book and whose statements permeate its chapters. She maintained that he talked about Jada Pinkett Smith just as much as she talks about him, highlighting their strong friendship and bond.
Before getting into that, though, Sekyiwa addressed Tupac’s friendship with John Cole to get into the deeper meat of this angle of the story. “All I remember is John coming over to the house all the time. And nothing else could be talked about but Jada,” she expressed in the biography, according to People. “His music changed. This people changed. And Jada came- the entity! The magazine posters had come off his wall and John’s art went up on his wall. And pictures of Jada.”
Furthermore, Robinson also apparently brought up a poem that Tupac wrote and dedicated to Jada after he moved to California, having met her at their Baltimore high school. “u will never fully understand / How Deeply my Heart Feels 4 u,” the lyrics for the alleged piece “The omega of my Heart” in Robinson’s biography read. “U R my Heart in Human Form / a Friend I could never replace.” Now that the book is out and we don’t have to depend on other sources to learn its contents, you can scrutinize this for yourself much further.
Of course, all this is notable because of how much Jada praises the Death Row legend these days. While they weren’t on speaking terms when he passed away due to his increasingly violent lifestyle in her eyes, she still speaks very fondly of him in ways that go beyond a simple friendship- but not a romantic bond, she maintains. Paired up with the actress’ perceived treatment of Will Smith, and their relationship as a whole, many have dogged on her focus on ‘Pac. But it seems like the dedication was mutual based on these claims, and that it’s understandable why she honors him to this day. Since pregnancy rumours first began swirling around Halle Bailey and DDG this summer, the singer’s silence on the topic led many to believe that the gossip is true. The fact that the 23-year-old has often been wearing oversized dresses to red carpet events in recent months hasn’t done much to calm things down. When she and her beau were walking around Santa Monica in their sweatpants earlier in October, the internet felt ready to make the announcement for the young couple.
As she appeared to have a budding baby bump under her sweatshirt, many have been waiting for Bailey to share some exciting news with her followers. However, the Atlanta native has instead kept us on our toes. Today (October 29), she’s showing off a notably slender figure when revealing her 2023 Halloween costume in tandem with DDG. The pair went as the lead characters from 1993’s Poetic Justice, played by Janet Jackson and the late Tupac Shakur.
Bailey has long been compared to the R&B legend physically, and her vocals are a great match for Jackson’s talent. Surprisingly, social media users even had compliments for the YouTuber, despite the negative reputation he seems to have amongst Bailey’s fanbase. “This kind of wins me over with DDG, but he got one more time to mess it up! Lol,” one user joked. Elsewhere in the comments, fellow artists like Flo Milli and Lakeyah gassed the pair up for their creativity.
As internet sleuths have certainly already noted, this now marks the second IG upload from Halle Bailey with no discernable signs of a baby bump. Of course, it’s entirely possible she and DDG planned ahead and took photos for Halloween before her body changed too much, but still, we won’t know for sure if the actress is headed toward motherhood until she tells us so herself. Do you think Bailey and her beau have what it takes to become parents so early on in life? Let us know in the comments, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news.
There’s a midst of swirling rumors surrounding the incarceration of Keefe D. The rumors stem from his alleged involvement in the murder of Tupac Shakur. One particular rumor ignited a firestorm on social media. Claims that Keefe D had been beaten up and stabbed in jail. However, TMZ exclusively reported that DJ Vlad was quick to dispel these allegations. Via a post on X, DJ Vlad took to social media to address the issue head-on. He began by stating, “There’s a rumor going around that Keefe D got beat up and stabbed in jail. I looked into it, and it doesn’t appear to be true.”
However, in response to DJ Vlad’s post, an X user offered their perspective on the situation. According to this individual, one of the rumors circulating suggested that Keefe D had been involved in two fights while incarcerated. “Allegedly, he was in 2 fights, one with a hoover and the other a crip according to some YouTuber,” the person said. Moreover, in reply to this, DJ Vlad made it clear that he had delved deeper into the matter, confirming his sources. “I’ve now talked to multiple people close to the situation, and they all said nothing has happened to him,” Vlad said.
Furthermore, the rumors surrounding Keefe D’s alleged assault had spread like wildfire across social media. This caused considerable concern and speculation among fans and followers. DJ Vlad’s intervention offered a ray of clarity and assurance to those who had been following the story closely. His extensive contacts and reliable sources within the hip-hop community seemed to validate his denial of any such incident involving Keefe D.
As people may recall It’s understandable why rumors circulated that he was beat up in jail. In fact, just earlier this month a video clip circulated where he admitted he was afraid of jail for his comments on the murder of 2Pac. Apparently however, he has spoken openly about killing 2pac in previous interviews with Vlad. Although he’s been talking about it for years, Las Vegas police finally detained and arrested him on September 21. Currently, he’s in prison serving 28-years behind bars for voluntary manslaughter.
Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg’s legacy as the star MCs of Death Row Records is virtually unmatched within not just the West Coast, but hip-hop as a whole. Tha Doggfather remains one of rap’s most important leading gurus, whereas ‘Pac remains arguably the most influential rapper of all time. However, interest in the two doesn’t just revolve around their current moves and, in Shakur’s case, his tragic murder. Moreover, nothing matches those early days in many’s eyes, whether due to their artistry, their groundbreaking characters, or their iconic style. On that last point, some iced-out pieces that the two spitters once owned could sell for a massive pile of cash at an upcoming auction.
Furthermore, GottaHaveRockAndRoll.com claimed to TMZ Hip Hop that they got their hands on Snoop Dogg and Tupac’s diamond-encrusted Death Row pendants. They will soon go up for auction, along with many other items from the Suge Knight-fronted record label’s heyday. Apparently, the outlet got them from Reggie Wright Jr., the Row’s former head of security. From what these reports allege, Suge commissioned various chains for his artists to borrow, and set aside these 14-karat “Fully Iced” pieces for ‘Pac and Snoop. As such, hopeful buyers expect them to go up for anywhere between $500K and $1 million.
Not only that, but a couple of partial diamond pendants will also be available, and folks think they could sell for any price point between $200K and $500K. In terms of other items available, there’s also Tupac’s SNL memorabilia from 1996, including a performance envelope and a personalized ticket. Those are expected to range from $8K to $12K, and is part of an online bidding structure. It opened today (Thursday, October 26) via Gotta Have Rock And Roll and will close on November 10. This is a part of the outlet’s celebration of rap’s 50-year anniversary.
Do you think that you’ll try to get your hands on any of these items or are those price tags too steep? How else do you think Death Row’s legacy will endure? Let us know what you think about all this down in the comments below. Also, stay logged into HNHH for more news and updates on Death Row, Tupac Shakur, and Snoop Dogg.
Jada Pinkett Smith, Tupac, and Will Smith have all three been in the news a lot lately. For Jada and Will, that’s come primarily through a series of bombshell interviews done to promote Jada’s newly released memoir. In those interviews, she’s revealed some major info about their relationship, including the fact that they’ve been living entirely separate lives since 2016. Tupac has also been wrapped up in that story as Jada called him her “soulmate.” That combined with Keefe D’s arrest and pending trial for his role in the murder of Tupac means that the legendary rapper has been on a lot of people’s minds recently.
Now, Cam’ron is weighing in. Always the jokester, he took to Instagram to share a picture of himself dressed up as Tupac with a caption referencing one of the rapper’s classic songs and the ongoing Jada drama. “Picture me rolling. On da way to meet jada,” he hilariously captioned the post. Fans in the comments also joked, many about Cam’s outfit choice. “That’s not a vest. That a corset Cam,” one of the top comments jokes. “That vest give me ayoo vibes,” another agrees. Check out the post and various fan reactions below.
Cam’ron recently grabbed the mic once again to take on a newly released single from J. Cole and Lil Yachty. Cole referenced Cam on the song which inspired him to hop on the beat and deliver his own verse. He shared a freestyle over the beat for “The Secret Recipe” last week and its since racked up over 136k likes on Instagram.
What Cam’ron does more often recently is make wild takes on his podcast It Is What It Is. Most recently, he gave his take on Russel Wilson, the quarterback for the Denver Broncos who has struggled immensely recently. Cam thinks that WIlson leaving his wife Ciara is the secret to helping him improve his play on the field. What do you think of Cam’ron’s Tupac fit and jokes about Jada Pinkett Smith? Let us know in the comment section below.
The next chapter in the Tupac murder trial is officially under way. His alleged killer Keefe D was originally due to be arraigned in court two weeks ago but the lawyer he hired failed to show up. It was then rescheduled today where the district attorney expects Keefe to plea guilty.
Earlier this year the investigation into Tupac’s murder was revived when Las Vegas police raided a home in connection to the murder. It quickly became clear that the investigation was centered around Keefe D. Keefe has become notorious for going on various podcasts and spilling details on his role in the murder. Police later confirmed that his continued discussion of the case was one of the primary reasons that the investigation was reopened. That eventually led to Keefe’s arrest in late September, which began his trial for the apparent drive-by shooting. Check out the live stream of the arraignment below.
Some with personal connections to the trial aren’t so happy that it’s been reopened. Tupac’s own brother says that the trial being reopened did nothing but bring back the trauma of the murder. Others like his sister and Jada Pinkett Smith have expressed the opposite opinion. They both claimed that they’re happy justice is finally being served and are happy someone is being held responsible for Pac’s murder. Others like Pac’s former collaborator Napoleon think that the rapper himself wouldn’t even want someone prosecuted for his murder at this point.
Tupac’s name has also been brought up recently by Jada Pinkett Smith. In promotional interviews for her new memoir, she shared details about her relationship with Tupac. That included Jada describing him as her “soulmate” and telling the story of how he once proposed to her while in prison. She turned him down because she believed that he would have divorced her once he was released. What do you think of Keefe D facing his arraignment in court today? Let us know in the comment section below.
There’s been a lot of talk about Will Smith recently. Most of it is coming from Jada Pinkett Smith who has been doing a series of bombshell interviews to promote her new memoir. She shared that her marriage to Will has essentially been over since 2016. She described their relationship as living “entirely separate” lives. That came as a surprise to many who remembered Will defending Jada in the famous Oscars slap.
Another person who has been looped into the fray is Tupac. The rapper is also a part of Jada’s history and she is dropping new details even from that far back. Now in a new interview Wack 100 became the newest person to give his thoughts on Will and Pac, and he didn’t hold back. “Put some respect on Will Smith name, bro. The only thing ‘Pac did better than Will was got killed better in real life. Other than that, he can’t f*ck with Will on nothing. Music-wise, Will was hotter than ‘Pac. Will was hotter than ‘Pac before ‘Pac was hot — this a fact.” Check out the full interview below.
Part of the drama comparing Will and Pac came from details Jada revealed about the late rapper. She described him as her “soulmate” and shared with fans that he once proposed to her while he was in prison. Despite that she believes that Will and Pac would have become good friends if they got the chance.
For Will Smith’s part, he has taken the drama in stride. He shared a video of himself ignoring the notifications on his phone to Instagram. He followed that up with another Instagram post where he trolls fans with a fake “official statement” on the matter. What do you think of Wack 100’s claims that Will Smith was a better rapper than Tupac in the 90s? Let us know in the comment section below.
Tupac’s mystique will never die and this recent news drop is another reason why. More and more information about the murder of the legendary artist continues to come out. We finally have more headway on who committed the crime and we are sure more will be unearthed. This latest bit of information circles back to Tupac’s musical career. As most people know, he was a part of Death Row Records. It is the label that associates itself with names like Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Suge Knight, Nate Dogg, and so many other legends. However, Tupac had a chance to join another iconic music group.
According to HipHopDX, the brother of the late rapper, Mopreme Shakur recently spoke with The Art of Dialogue. In the interview, Mopreme revealed some interesting news. When ‘Pac was released from jail in 1995, he was seriously considering joining Bad Boy Records. Mopreme said, “There was a point ‘Pac was considering going to Bad Boy before his relationship with Death Row. He wanted to be on a Black label… He wanted to be with the brothers.”
However, it never worked out that way, obviously. What ultimately led to Tupac inking the contract with Death Row, was some battle of powers. Namely, Diddy had more say and control, according to Mopreme. “Over time, things happened, and ‘Pac started seeing things. Biggie was on Puffy’s label so with them two, it was Puffy calling the shots. There was some legitimate problems there.” It would have been incredible to see both of the biggest rappers in the world be on the same label. Who knows what material we could have gotten.
What are your initial thoughts on Mopreme Shakur saying that Tupac was really close to signing with Bad Boy Records? Do you think that he should have inked the deal? Would this have changed the landscape for hip-hop labels going forward? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest breaking news around Tupac, as well as everything else going on around the music world.
