Kehlani’s Something In The Water Festival Set Trends On Twitter

Coachella is obviously one of the biggest festivals to take place in the spring and summer months, but after it ends there’s still plenty more excitement and live entertainment to be seen. This weekend, Pharrell Williams’ Something in the Water is taking place in his home state of Virginia, and the lineup is seriously stacked, to say the least. Things began on Friday (April 28) with Kid Cudi headlining the Solar Stage while Mumford & Sons took over the Lunar Stage. Earlier in the day, patrons also saw NLE Choppa, Doechii, Skrillex, Wale, and Kehlani, among others.

The latter R&B diva’s set obviously made an impression, as she began trending on Twitter on Saturday (April 29). Many in attendance have been sharing beautiful snapshots they captured of the sultry vocalist on stage, while others have been uploading videos of their favourite performances from her roughly 40-minute-long setlist. Thankfully, the entire thing was on a live stream, allowing fans of Kehlani to tune into their incredible show from the comfort of home.

There were some slight technical difficulties in the beginning, but ultimately, the “Did I” hitmaker put on a show that won’t soon be forgotten. “Kehlani’s microphone stays on,” one YouTube user pointed out after watching the stream. “She’s gonna show up ad sing! So underrated.” Aside from just sounding good, ‘lani also captivated viewers with their alluring good looks and obvious glow.

Day two of the festival is officially underway, and attendees are more than excited to catch headliners Lil Wayne and Pharrell’s Phriends later this evening. Before they close things out, acts like Latto, Coi Leray, the Jonas Brothers, Lil Yachty, and Summer Walker are due to entertain the crowd. Girll Codee Trend After “Wild ‘N Out” Performance

During the most recent episode of Nick Cannon’s “Wild ‘N Out,” Girll Codee caught many’s attention for their performance. Moreover, they appeared in the segment “Kick ‘Em Out The Classroom,” which seems to consist of various “students” freestyling and adding phrases to a flow that either stay in the classroom or… well, you know. For those of you who aren’t familiar with that name, Girll Codee is a Brooklyn rap group consisting of femcees Shaa Biggaa and Hiii Siddity, and they made a splash for their appearance. Not only was it quite the fun segment, but they were also able to show off their rap skills.

While they’re still rising stars and making a name for themselves, Girll Codee participated in a few high-profile events and promotional opportunities. One of these was the Hot 97 Summer Jam in 2022, which brought out some of the biggest artist in the rap world. To elaborate, the lineup included Pusha T, Lil Durk, Benny The Butcher, Gunna, Fivio Foreign, City Girls, and many more. The New York duo was also on that lineup, and formed part of an exciting group of up-and-comers who might not need that title in a few months.

In addition, Girll Codee also made quite the impact with their Funk Flex freestyle back in 2022. Their sharp bars, technical ability, and confidence on the mic resulted in one of the hottest freestyles of the year, and one that probably introduced many to the group. In an age where a lot of people rise to fame off of antics and virality, it’s always exciting to see what could be the next big thing manifest in the booth. Frank Ocean fans hoped that he would release something before his Coachella performance this weekend. However, it’s new music Friday, and seemingly nothing has popped up from the former Odd Future superstar. Still, his fanbase and the music community at large is eagerly anticipating his headlining slot at the music festival this Sunday (April 16). In fact, discussion and anticipation around the performance is so big that he started to trend on Twitter just because fans lamented he didn’t drop anything this week. That being said, there are a little over 48 hours left before he takes the Coachella stage. If there’s anything fans know about the 35-year-old, it’s that anything can happen in that timeframe.

Despite fans being mostly in the dark, they spotted some compelling hints recently of his upcoming performance. While we know nothing of a future Frank Ocean drop, some onlookers did spot a rehearsal for his Coachella slot recently. In a short social media clip that made the rounds online, you can faintly hear his track “Nights” playing on festival grounds in the distance. For anyone living near the festival desert, it must be a blessing (or a noise-complaint-prompting curse) for people to be close to the magic.

Frank Ocean Is (Almost) Silent Before Festival Return

Also, another picture surfaced online that was an edited picture of the “Pyramids” singer- but many thought it was his new look. Sporting a fuzzy beard and long-locked hair, people quickly identified that it was an edited version of a previous picture of Frank Ocean. Still, that didn’t stop people from putting all their hopes in a picture for new music. However, there was another recent public appearance that led fans to believe he was slowly coming out of his shell and into the public eye more. Fans spotted him watching Omar Apollo open for SZA during her “SOS” tour, even though that doesn’t mean much as far as his now hints towards something new.

For example, through a poster for his vinyl reissue of Blonde, he told a story that many interpreted as a hint towards new music. Basically, it revolves around “a fictitious Recording Artist” that tries to drop singles instead of albums. This mirrors Frank Ocean’s run of singles following the release of Endless and Blonde. Twitter’s never the place for consistently positive discourse, but negativity can become comical when it seems so confusing. That’s what’s happening right now on Twitter, as DJ Khaled is trending for a viral tweet calling him fat. Of course, it can be hard to trace original posts on the Internet, but people seem to be focusing on one tweet in particular. “Drake is retiring, Migos broken, DJ Khaled is fat, Rap game is in shambles rn,” the tweet read. Also, its author included a screenshot of Cillian Murphy holding a gun to his head in the show Peaky Blinders, which is a popular reaction meme right now.

Furthermore, a lot of people are amused at Khaled’s inclusion because, frankly, it’s not necessarily news at this point. While a lot of people took the opportunity to shame DJ Khaled, others recognized how ridiculous the comment is. “Why u gotta pack on dj Khaled like that,” one tweeter expressed. Another wrote, “Dj Khaled part outta pocket.” Still, for all the jokes and confused comments that Twitter could make, the industry titan will likely remain unfazed.

After all, he recently announced a massive partnership between We The Best Music and Def Jam. “I’m bringing my talents, and We The Best, and DJ Khaled to Def Jam Records,” he said during a press conference. “So it’s We The Best, Def Jam, and Cavalry dropping this music group, which I’m very excited [about]. Kelis Trends On Twitter After Showing Off Her Farm Outfit

Kelis is trending on Twitter after sharing a video of herself showcasing one of her outfits while on her farm in California. Users on the website celebrated the legendary singer’s good looks and fashion sense in response to the clip.

“This is a quick farm fashion because I’m about to grill outside. I love cooking outside,” Kelis introduces the clip. She then reveals that she’s rocking stretchy jeans because she likes to “get down and dirty.” Kelis also introduces her shoes, shirt, and sweater, before adding that she also keeps a blade on her.

Kelis‘ latest video comes after she recently shared her number one beauty secret with her followers, last month. In a video on Instagram, she reveals that she relies on the Rosehip & Turmeric Face Glow Oil and Skin Food moisturizer from her Bounty & Full range. “I only wear a full face when im working. So heres My trick to great makeup, i apply bounty beauty rosehip n turmeric first then i mix my foundation with skin food face cream (sic),” she wrote. “I want coverage without feeling like im wearing a mask. I want to look dewy and fresh with even translucent coverage.” Kelis also explained that she never uses powder to set her make-up. “The other trick is ZERO POWDER. Use liquid Mattefier or blotting paper but no powder. It instantly ages skin. So no thanks,” she said.

Kelis has been living on the remote farm since January 2020. She frequently posts about the farm life on her social media pages. She discussed moving to the location during an interview with Harper’s Bazaar in 2021. At the time, she explained that the farm life changed her. “You change. I came out here with a completely different idea of what was going to happen,” she said, before adding, “I thought I was going to be cute. Akon Clowned For His Hair Piece

So many people online are clowning Akon for his hair in a recent picture with Fat Joe and Ja Rule in Dubai. Moreover, the aforementioned MCs posted a pic of them together on Instagram, although Akon hasn’t posted anything yet. While they couldn’t comment on his account, people took to other corners of social media to joke about the singer’s hairstyle.

Ja Rule captioned the pic with “Yesterdays Price… #ICONN #Vibes,” whereas Fat Joe wrote “DUBAI LEGENDS ONLY” and tagged his companions. Given that Akon recently criticized American performers, the link-up seems strange or, at the very least, random. Still, that’s not what people are saying about the post.

Moreover, one user tweeted: “Rule got a thin crust mustache, Akon’s toupee is bananas and Fat Joe’s beard looks spray painted. My legends are aging gracefully.”

Furthermore, Twitter is full of gems like these. So many people are comparing his hair to Lego pieces, glued hair, hats, beanies, and making a whole host of other jokes. While many cooked him up in quote retweets, some made remarks about his recent controversial statements.

“Seeing Akon’s hair makes all his dumb ass statements over the past few years make a lot more sense SMFH,” one user wrote. Moreover, he caught flack for suggesting that family events aren’t that important to attend when talking about Nick Cannon.

Erykah Badu and her daughter Puma Curry just wowed social media with a couple of pictures together. In the pics swirling around Twitter and Instagram, they look back at the camera and show off their behinds. While it’s not the first time that Badu has shown pride in it, people are loving the mother-daughter energy.

“Erykah Badu and her daughter Puma with the flex showing us it’s all in the genes, LITERALLY!” an account wrote via Twitter. Many people agreed with this sentiment online, even if some questioned taking booty pics with your mom. “I don’t know if I would take a picture of backshots with my mama though that is extra,” one user replied.

While the Dallas star’s daughter is all grown-up, she did help another soul singer bring twins into the world. In fact, Badu confirmed that Summer Walker had twins and was there for her in the process. Afterwards, Walker thanked her and her other loved ones for their support.

Also, Curry actually helped Badu in that process, as well. In the Instagram post that the 51-year-old made announcing the twins, she shouted out her daughter, who was also there to help.

Gunna Trends On Twitter As YSL Trial Kicks Off

Gunna is currently trending on Twitter as jury selection in the YSL RICO trial begins. The rapper took a plea deal last month and is currently out of prison.

His name trending comes after he shared his first social media post since his release. He posted a photo of himself while working at a home studio on Instagram.

In response, Young Thug’s siblings as well as Lil Gotit seem to have taken issue with Gunna.

“All Dat Internet Shit Not P,” Thug’s brother, Unfoonk, wrote on his Instagram Story, using Gunna’s signature P emoji.

Young Thug’s sister, HiDoraah, has also unfollowed Gunna on Instagram.

Users on Twitter have been posting about the apparent spat on the site all day.

“YSL having a civil war beef on instagram,” DJ Akademiks wrote, before adding, “Gunna came out and tried testing the water claiming YSL the label and said Free Thugga … and everybody in ysl lookin at gunna like ‘N***a u the reason he in there’ … they all unfollowed him right after even thug sister.”

One fan defended Gunna writing, “He’s not the reason Thug Is in jail,” before explaining, “They were both arrested the same time. They have text messages from Thug, car rental agreements, they found a glock with a switch in his house. None of they is Gunnas fault.”

Another fired back: “Fam u gotta stop this… The n***a told… and everyone else who stood in front of that judge & admitted YSL is a gang & involved in gang activities told as well… U like the music… it’s coo… But they told..lol”
