It does have less to do with lyricism and more so how to market yourself in a cutthroat industry. The Chicago, Illinois native has recently been in the news for things outside of music.

Over the past month, Soulja Boy has fallen into the deadly Blueface trap. He is someone else is making headlines for everything but his material. The reason these two are tangled up with one another because Blueface claimed he could out rap Soulja in a Verzuz battle. Since then, things have escalated quickly and they continue to beef into February.

ScHoolboy Q Announces New Album “Blue Lips”: Release Date, Tracklist & Reactions

Well, it’s finally time. After four years of teasing, a lot of hard work, and an avalanche of fan anticipation, ScHoolboy Q has finally and officially announced his next studio album: Blue Lips. Moreover, he did so through a teaser trailer that shows a group of colleagues, on car and on foot, arriving at a street alley with the project’s tracklist written out on a building’s wall. By visiting the TDE rapper’s website, you can see a counter that lets you know exactly how long you will have to wait for this LP to drop. Fortunately, it’s not a long wait at all, and fans can pre-save the full-length on their preferred streaming service, preview merch, and sign up for updates on the site, too.

Furthermore, Blue Lips will release on March 1, and the teaser indicates that it will comprise of 17 tracks or so, if each title is a line long. If not, then it’ll be shorter, but either way, there are certain titles that really caught fans’ eyes. For example, ScHoolboy Q fans made a ruckus over the song “Blue Slides,” given the apparent reference to Mac Miller’s debut album Blue Slide Park from 2011. Die-hards are hoping that this includes a feature from the Philly MC given their close relationship, but the prospect of being let down if it doesn’t appear isn’t enough to dissuade listeners’ excitement for this project.

ScHoolboy Q’s Blue Lips Teaser: Watch

As far as what we can gain musically from this teaser, there’s no confirmation on whether the featured song will appear on Blue Lips‘ tracklist in some form. Perhaps it’s a preview of a sample, an original instrumental, or just a really good, tender, and dramatic soul song that ScHoolboy Q wanted to shout out. Regardless of which is the correct answer, it sets the stage for a lush, possibly nostalgic, and emotive experience. Usher Shares Tracklist And Features From His New Album

Usher is set to perform at one of the biggest stages in all of music in less than two weeks. He’s the newest superstar to perform at the Super Bowl Halftime show and fans are pretty excited for what he has to deliver. Between his decades of smash hits, numerous potential collaborators, and beloved Las Vegas residency there’s so much potential for his upcoming performance but that isn’t even the only reason fans have to be excited.

Usher is also gearing up to release a brand new album the weekend of his performance. It will be his first new solo album since 2016’s Hard II Love and his first new project overall since 2018’s A. The album is called Coming Home and will drop just a few days in advance of the Super Bowl. It’s already off to a pretty strong start with songs like “Good Good.” The single has been a stable hit for months now and features contributions from 21 Savage and Summer Walker. The full tracklist features plenty of intrigue and numerous big features. Benny The Butcher’s tracklist for his highly-anticipated new album, Everybody Can’t Go, will feature plenty of top rappers, according to HipHopDX. The project will be his first full-length release under the Def Jam imprint. The Alchemist and Hit-Boy produced all twelve of the upcoming songs.

The outlet reports that the tracklist features collaborations with Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Jadakiss, Babyface Ray, and more. On the track, “Griselda Express,” he reunites with Westside Gunn and Conway The Machine.

Benny has been promoting Everybody Can’t Go for almost a year now, having announced the project back in the spring of 2023. He explained the meaning of the title while appearing on the Rap Radar Podcast back in November. “Everybody can’t go because they not cut like that,” he said at the time. “They not made like that. And you can’t dance to every song, you know what I’m saying? […] Everything is not for everybody. With new levels come new devils, and I want more. I want bigger for myself. When you make that first cut — when you clearly see, ‘these people are not for me, they don’t need to be here’ — so the people who made that, who got past that cut, they think they’re safe. And what I mean by level up, you know, is my way of thinking. And of course, my way of making music.”

All Is Yellow Is Dropping On January 26

Right off the bat, we can expect a wild banger to open the album. Sheck Wes, Ski Mask the Slump God, and JID will appear on “Fly Away.” Chief Keef and Lil Yachty will collaborate in what should be a fun experiment on “Say Ya Grace.” However, the most unique mix of talent has to be on “First Night.” That is going to feature Teezo Touchdown, Juicy J, Cochise, Denzel Curry, and Lil B. Hopefully that all comes together because that has the potential to be great. Other notable mentions include Eminem, BabyTron, G Herbo, Latto, Swae Lee, and Aminé.

Doja Cat Seemingly Teases New Tracklist

Doja Cat has dropped a cryptic Instagram post appearing to indicate that she may have new music on the way. The image showed a whiteboard title “S2” with the following list: Acknowledge Me, Head High, Gang, Masc, Rider, URRRGE!!!!, and Hungry. Most commenters have taken “S2” to mean either Scarlet 2 or a Scarlet Deluxe Edition.

After a viral marketing campaign, Doja dropped Scarlet in September 2023. It served as a “masculine” follow-up to 2022’s Planet Her, inspired by Doja’s growing disillusionment with the music industry. Preceded by the singles “Paint the Town Red” and “Demons”, Scarlet was Doja’s first project since 2014’s Purrr! to have no features. Scarlet peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Album 200. Scarlet did not receive any Grammy nods. However, “Paint the Town Red” and “Attention” received one and two nominations respectively.

Doja Cat Declares “Say So” A “Cash Grab”

Meanwhile, Doja has become more and more aggressive about her disdain towards her fans. During a 2023 show in Denver, Doja made a shocking declaration on stage. The rapper called her hit single “Say So” to be a “cash grab”. It’s not the first time that Doja has derided her previous work. “Planet her and hot pink were cash-grabs and yall fell for it.” In a follow-up post, she added: “Now i can go disappear somewhere and touch grass with my loved ones on an island while yall weep for mediocre pop,” the rapper declared on Twitter. As mentioned, much of Doja’s attitude stems from the way the industry spoke about her following Planet Her.

However, “Say So” was certainly a very successful “cash grab”, if that’s what Doja really believes. It picked up both Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance and the 63rd Grammys. Furthermore, it spent one week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in May of 2020. Despite all this, it’s clear that Doja is not done speaking on her past work.

Kid Cudi Unveils “INSANO” Tracklist, Fans Disappointed But Rapper Says Deluxe Is Still Coming

We are just five days away from going INSANO! Legendary Cleveland rapper Kid Cudi is going to be dropping his 10th project on January 12. Over the past few weeks, the multi-talented artist gave his fans updates on different aspects of the album. We know everything we possibly need to know now, as Cudi has just announced the tracklist. The 39-year-old revealed the names of the songs across his social media accounts and there are some impressive collaborations as well.

“THE SCOTTS” are reuniting once again, as Travis Scott and Scott Mescudi are bringing their talents to “Get Off Me.” ASAP Rocky will land on the fifth track called “Wow.” Other additions include DJ Drama, Lil Yachty, Young Thug, a posthumous XXXTENTACION, and Lil Wayne. While this is an enticing 21-song tracklist, fans were still a little let down. During the earlier stages of the rollout, it was rumored that INSANO was going to be 40 songs.

Kid Cudi Continues To Build Up The Hype

However, it appears those 19 additional songs will be on a deluxe version. Kid Cudi reassured his fans by following up the announcement by saying, “I said there will be a deluxe. Patience.” Some of those cuts that could make it onto the extended version could be the two-pack of “ILL WHAT I BLEED/MOST AIN’T DENNIS” that was released on Soundcloud. There is no release date for the deluxe, but we cannot wait for what Cudi has in store.

“INSANO” Tracklist Out Monday, Kid Cudi Encourages Fans To Listen On Shrooms

Kid Cudi has revealed that the tracklist for INSANO will drop on Monday. Furthermore, Cudi also noted that he would be revealing the album’s features at the same time. Fans were overjoyed at news about the album that has been a long time in the making. It will be Cudi’s ninth album and his first since 2022’s Entergalatic. However, Cudi will be hoping to break back into the top five for the first time since 2020’s Man on the Moon III: The Chosen.

Furthermore, Cudi encouraged his fans to experience the album while under the influence of shrooms. “@KiDCuDi me and my gf were wondering if you’d recommend taking shrooms and listening to the album. We took shrooms once and had a crazy visual trip, but we didn’t listen to any music. This would be our 2nd time. We love you cudi ♥🙏,” one fan asked. “Go for it!” Cudi said in response.

Kid Cudi Starring In Animated Sci-Fi Horror

However, INSANO is not Cudi’s only project in the works. He also revealed that he is returning to acting with a new animated vehicle, Slime. The Cleveland musician is set to star in and produce the film about two individuals who set off on a quest to find a cure for the side effects of a medical trial. The film will serve as the directorial debut of Jeron Braxton, an animator best known for Baby Demon. The script is the work of Brian Ash, best known for The Boondocks.

Cudi is set to play Glenn, a lab worker kidnapped by protagonist Muna as she searches for a cure for the trial that she underwent and that Glenn was involved in. It has not been revealed at this time who will be voicing Muna. This year, Cudi won an Emmy for his work in the trippy Netflix special, Entergalatic. He also had a supporting role in the Disney+ series Crater. However, the series was controversially pulled by the streaming platform after just a few weeks.

On Friday (December 8), the latter’s Instagram profile lit up with a post naming 18 titles, though no features are on it. It’s possible that those come out later, or they may be a surprise for the LP’s debut.

We’ve already heard what the musical duo’s been brewing up on their “Vultures” single with Bump J and Lil Durk, and needless to say that created plenty of controversy. Ye continues to face backlash from the Jewish community, who feel his lyrics about sleeping with a woman of their religion are disrespectful and distasteful, among other things. Nevertheless, the father of four is progressing with his project rollout and is seemingly determined to make it one of the best yet.

The first title on Ty Dolla and West’s joint project is “Everybody,” followed by “Back To Me,” “Fuk Sumn,” and “Time Moving Slow.” After that comes “Beg Forgiveness,” “So Good,” “Paid,” “Timbo Freestyle,” and “Slide.” Much to the internet’s pleasure, the famous unreleased Nicki Minaj collab, “New Body” made the cut as well, along with tracks like “Promotion,” “Lifestyle,” “Drunk,” “Worship,” River,” “Gun To My Head,” and “Unlock.” The Queen of Rap didn’t tap her longtime friend to appear on her Pink Friday 2 album this weekend, though she did playfully reference it in one of her verses.

Kanye West has been keeping busy in Dubai, but despite his countless hours spent in the studio, he still has time to step out in style with his wife, Bianca Censori.
