Lil Jon Announces Guided Meditation Album

If Lil Jon’s career is defined by anything, it’s energy. From his shouted demeanor to his infectious adlibs almost everything he’s done in his career so far is about getting hype. But that could change later this month when he pivots to a VERY different kind of project. According to TMZ, the rapper is working on a guided meditation album. They report that Jon has been focusing on wellness and physical fitness in his personal life for a while now. As a result, he’s aiming to spread those good vibes to others through his new music.

While they don’t confirm a name for the upcoming project there are some more details available. The album will reportedly have 10 tracks and fans will get the chance to hear it on February 16. As TMZ notes, the timing doesn’t seem entirely coincidental. This weekend Usher will perform during the Super Bowl Halftime Show, prior to which he’ll release a new album of his own. Many have suspected the Usher will play one of the biggest hits of his career, “Yeah!” The song features both Lil Jon and Ludacris and MANY fans have suspected that the pair could make a surprise appearance.

Lil Jon’s Surprising New Direction

Lil Jon’s pivot from his more familiar genre of rap music into something entirely different reminds fans of another recent surprise. Last year Andre 3000 returned with his debut solo album. But to the surprise of many, the album he announced was an ambient jazz project with “no bars.” And when the project was released it lived up to that promise. The project is made up of long ambient compositions predominately featuring 3k playing his flute.

Consequence Shares Kanye West Texts About Turning Down TMZ Documentary

Earlier this week, TMZ released a new documentary to the world called Kanye West: Unhinged But Unstoppable. The documentary sought to dig into the rapper’s antisemitic comments over the past two years that led to numerous brands completely cutting ties with him. But they also want to investigate why he’s maintained a surprising amount of respect and admiration from many fellow celebrities in the wake of those outbursts. While many fans are still watching and processing the documentary, Consequence revealed that he was asked to be included in it and declined.

In a new tweet, Consequence announced that TMZ wanted to talk to him for the doc. He turned them down and explained why he made that choice. “Loyalty over Royalties I was approached by. @TMZ to be featured in their special “Kanye West: Unhinged but Unstoppable.” I myself have had great interactions with Harvey and Charles but anyone who really knows YE would know that he would feel leveraged and exploited by this move even if you’re speaking on him in a positive light. That being said, even with what has recently transpired, I opted to pass… All Money ain’t G.O.O.D. Money QUEENS GET THE MONEY” his tweet reads. In the text included Consequence informs Kanye of what’s going on. “TMZ had hit me up about a doc they’re doing on you and asked me to participate. I told them I pass because I’m sure this isn’t something you’d want out without authorization, especially after Netflix,” his text said. Kanye’s response simply said, “That’s love.”

West’s new album Vultures is right around the corner and he’s hosting a listening party in Chicago later this week. Lizzo’s Inclusion At The Grammys Slammed By Her Accusers

This year’s Grammy ceremony took place over the weekend and featured a number of interesting moments. Jay-Z accepted a special award but used his platform to attack the Academy itself. Killer Mike won three awards during the pre show before being arrested backstage and led out in handcuffs. Fans of artists like Lana Del Rey and Nicki Minaj criticized the Grammys online as their career-long snubs continued.

Another surprising moment centered around Lizzo. She’s no stranger to the Grammys as she took home an award for her song “About Damn Time” last year. She also performed the track during last year’s ceremony. In that sense, it’s not a huge surprise that she was present at this year’s awards. What’s more surprising is that she was picked to be directly involved in the proceedings. She gave out one of the night’s awards which immediately struck many as a strange choice. She’s still very much in hot water after being accused of a variety of bad behaviors by numerous former backup dancers in a lawsuit last year.

Lizzo’s Accusers Slam Grammy Inclusion

Following her presentation of the Best R&B Song award a representative of multiple accusers from the initial lawsuit spoke out. Neama Rahmani spoke to TMZ about Lizzo’s inclusion. He criticized the decision and claimed that the Academy wasn’t taking the allegations made against her seriously. He said that if elements like her race and gender were different she would never be given the platform.

Rahmani also insists that the truth behind the lawsuit will eventually come out and that they’re still fighting for the stories of her backup dancers to be told. Earlier this week, the lawsuit was amended. A number of the allegations included in the original suit were removed by the judge. Kanye West Can’t Be Canceled, According To The Game, Angela Yee & Bill Maher

Kanye West’s public controversies and points of “cancelation” could be an entire multi-season television show. Moreover, he has too much content and work associated with him to sum anything up concisely, but it’s fair to say that this is a very pressing question of public interest thanks to his recent antisemitism and album teases. TMZ is actually releasing a documentary, airing on FOX on Monday, February 5, on this aspect of Ye. Of course, he doesn’t exactly like the outlet, but they nonetheless reached out to other celebs to get their take on whether he’s “cancelable,” despite his probable issues with that. At the end of the day, it’s just more attention, so maybe it’s no big deal for the Chicago provocateur.

First up is Kanye West’s “Eazy” collaborator The Game, who told TMZ that he can’t be canceled. Furthermore, he reasoned that Kanye’s mentality is what prevents this scrutiny from ruining his career and preventing its progression. The California rapper argued that he’s not afraid of “cancel culture,” and that said fearlessness protects pretty much whatever sewage he spouts. While that’s a scary thought, it’s more of an ever-frightening reality given just how water folks let under the bridge.

Next, Bill Maher thinks that Kanye West is simply a lucky man who dodges the Grim Reaper of public opinion at every turn. The commentator and TV personality pointed out how many other entertainers faced much worse consequences for way less bigoted and combative incidents. Meanwhile, folks are still very excited for his (presumably) upcoming album series, Vultures. Others, Maher argues, lost their careers entirely for undue reasons when compared to the 46-year-old’s limitless free passes.

Finally in this segment, Angela Yee’s belief is that he has so many line-crossing moments that they lost meaning. Only a verifiable and heavy crime, the radio host thinks, would truly stop the Yeezy mogul in his track. Not even his public and toxic fallout with his equally famous ex-wife could turn the whole industry against him. Whether that’s warranted or not is for you to have an opinion on. G Herbo Reveals New Mixtape “Best Rapper Alive” On The Way

G Herbo has revealed to TMZ that he has a new mixtape on the way. “I got new music comin’, man. New mixtape. It’s called Best Rapper Alive. I gave it to y’all first, TMZ,” Herbo told the outlet. Herbo didn’t reveal much else about the project and its release date also remains a mystery.

However, the project appears to be a bounce back for the rapper after the legal mess he found himself in to start the year. Herbo was sentenced to three years probation on identity theft and fraud charges. Ari Fletcher Rejects Notion That G Herbo “Made Her”

However, one person who may take issue with Herbo calling himself the best rapper alive is his ex, Ari Fletcher. Last year, Fletcher disputed the idea that her ex, G Herbo, “made her”. In a recent lengthy interview, Fletcher argued that her success was self-made and it didn’t matter who her ex was. The host agreed, arguing “They also say this about their exes, but why aren’t their other exes just as successful?” Furthermore, Fletcher argued that Herbo held her back. “If I had stayed…dead a—, I would not be the person I am today,” Fletcher said.

However, reactions were split online. “What does she do if he didn’t make her? She had a baby by a Chicago rapper,” one person argued. “Honestly the reason she gets this statement so much displays in this interview her arrogance she confuses with confidence. I left viewing this still asking what does she do again?” another concurred. Despite this, not everyone was against Fletcher. “And honestly Ari helped Herb become more successful. The former couple shares four children together regardless, and have been forced to find some way to make things work.

In a new installment of TMZ Investigates, which airs on February 5, experts share their thoughts on KimYe’s co-parenting dynamic. One of them, a Professor of Psychology at the University of Michigan Dr. Kevin Cokley, suggests that Kim should make it clear to the kids that they can love their father without agreeing with everything he says. He thinks that having a conversation with them to explain that some of Ye’s comments are unacceptable is crucial.

Expert Claims Kim Should Have A Talk With Her Kids

Another expert to weigh in, psychiatrist Dr. Kyle Smith, argues that Kim simply can’t protect her children from everything, despite her inevitable desire to do so. He also notes that since Ye’s their father, unless he’s doing something unimaginable like locking them up in a “bunker,” there’s not much she can do to keep him away from the children. Smith claims that when having kids with someone like Ye, chaos unfortunately just comes with the territory.

On the bright side, Kim and Kanye at least appear to be on speaking terms these days, though from what the public’s seen their interactions have been less than warm. They were just spotted attending their son’s basketball game together last week, and even exchanged a few words, despite sitting several seats apart. Melanie Miller, the woman who got her phone snatched by Kanye West, is speaking out. Appearing on the TMZ Podcast, Miller gave her account of the incident.

“I was alarmed. I was like, ‘Whoa, I don’t see that one coming.’ I’ve interviewed him before and he never talks to me, so I’m thinking ‘I’ll just see if he’ll talk to me.’ It’s been very well talked about that…he won’t let Bianca have an Instagram because he’s trying to protect her. So I’m saying this is an easy opportunity for you to be like, ‘Of course I’m not controlling her.’ That’s all that I had going into it.”

She added, “If she’s posting those photos of her and her essentially naked body on her own Instagram because she wants to, because she wants to put that out there—fine. But he’s doing it. He has such disrespect for women.”

“Kanye is a sucka,” Charlamagne said. “When that man was yelling at him and his wife last week, he had nothing to say. He skedaddled.”

Charlamagne was speaking about the presumably homeless man that birated Ye as he attempted to leave the scene.

Fans Realize Kanye West Snatched Phone Of TMZ Reporter Who Ran With ASAP Rocky

Fans on social media have realized that Kanye West snatched the cellphone of the TMZ reporter who went on a jog with ASAP Rocky, last year. When the publication initially shared video from the incident, it was from the reporter’s camera, but as more clips of the rapper’s tirade have circulated on social media, it’s clear they’re the same viral photographer.

West grabbed the camera person’s phone when they asked about reports of him “controlling” Bianca Censori. “Don’t come after me with your dumbass sh*t,” West can be heard saying. “I’m a person bro. You’re recording. Don’t come ask me that dumbass sh*t. I’m a person.” He continued: “You wasn’t asking me sh*t when I couldn’t see my kids and now only have visitation and don’t have rights to where they go to school? You got questions for that, or are you part of the system?” When the photographer asks for their phone back, West initially refuses but goes on to offer them a job paying double what they make at TMZ.

ASAP Rocky ran into the same reporter back in 2023 while going on a run in West Hollywood. Despite the questioning, Rocky continued to jog and the reporter did their best to keep up with him. At the end of the run, Rocky offered to grab them lunch after hearing they threw up.
