Janelle Monae Celebrates “The Age of Pleasure” Album By Flashing Her “Chest” For The Camera

The album rollout for Janelle Monae’s The Age of Pleasure has been one of the singer’s most successful (and salacious) to date. Her long-awaited LP finally landed this New Music Friday (June 9), complete with features from Doechii, Grace Jones, and Sister Nancy, among others. The genre-bending artist shared “Float” with Seun Kuti and Egypt 80 and later, “Lipstick Lover” as singles, but of the new arrivals on the tracklist, titles like “Champagne Sh*t,” “Phenomenal,” and “Black Sugar Beach” appear to be fan favourites.

Not only does the project’s cover show off a topless Monae happily swimming with friends, but her famous breasts also made numerous appearances while she was outside promoting The Age of Pleasure. Not only did she briefly reveal them to a crowd watching her perform live earlier this spring, but the Dirty Computer songstress had them painted on the album’s vinyl version too. She happily flashed the artwork to fans in a new clip shared on social media this weekend, only causing her fanbase to grow further.

In the video, Monae confidently struts across a room wearing tiny red and white booty shots, a cropped t-shirt with “PLEASURE” clearly written across the front and knee-high white boots. As she walks, the singer’s collaboration with Doechii blasts through speakers behind her. “And they all bow to you / How you feel? Phenomenal,” the 37-year-old lip-syncs along the catchy track. “Ready for round two? / B*tch, I feel so phenomenal.”

As she approaches the camera the vocalist lifts up The Age of Pleasure vinyl she’s carrying in her hands, quickly opening it to reveal her bare breasts forever immortalized for fans on the inside. Rather, the “Milkshake” hitmaker is using her Instagram profile to showcase her bikini body just in time for “Act Bad” Summer. Kelis uploaded some special outdoor snapshots early on Saturday (June 9) morning, kicking off her post with a photo that sees her standing knee-deep in the breathtaking blue water. She’s rocking a multicoloured bikini and various chains around her neck and waist, looking perfectly sunkissed as gossip swirls that she’s dating 72-year-old Bill Murray.

“I’m a beach bum,” the singer-songwriter wrote in her caption, including a playful image of her splashing in the water, as well as a brief clip of her excitedly cannon-balling off of a platform. As Page Six notes, Kelis has been sharing plenty of footage from her latest family vacation with her sons on IG. There was no evidence of Murray’s presence on the vacation. However, it was reported on Thursday (June 8) that the embattled actor and Kelis have been getting to know one another. He was taking in her performance at South London’s Mighty Hoopla festival recently. Bill has reportedly been frequenting other events in support of the motherer of three. “Whatever it is that has brought them together, and however unlikely it seems, they are both single and are having fun despite the fairly big age gap,” insiders told The Sun of the rumoured romance.

Seeing as the “Midnight Snacks” songstress lost her husband, Mike Mora, to a battle with stomach battle last March, and the Illinois native’s second ex-wife, Jennifer Butler also passed in early 2021, it’s likely they’ve been able to bond over their grief, among other things. The “Blick Blick” hitmaker’s most recent photo dump landed on Friday (June 9) afternoon, revealing to her millions of followers that she’s been living lavishly in London ahead of COI‘s debut.

“Can’t believe my sophomore album about to really drop,” the Boston-born artist reflected in the caption. “Truly grateful… Sky is the limit.” In the first photo, we see Leray cooly relaxing in what looks to be a luxurious hotel pool. Apparently Cardi B has found a renewed sense of inspiration to release new music after her experience at Summer Jam. It has been more than five years since her Grammy-winning debut album, Invasion Of Privacy, was released on digital streaming platforms. Since then, the rapper’s fans have been eagerly anticipating her sophomore album. While she has released a handful of singles in the past few years, she hasn’t unveiled a significant amount of new music recently. Fans did get hits like “WAP” featuring Megan Thee Stallion and “Up,” but it’s been pretty quiet otherwise. Instead, she has made several guest appearances on other artists’ tracks.

Most recently, Cardi B collaborated with Latto on a song called “Put It On The Floor Again.” The pair performed the track during Cardi’s headline set at Summer Jam 2023. However, it appears that her return to the Tri-State Area has sparked her motivation to release new music. Cardi delivered an impressive performance that featured guest appearances from 21 Savage, Dougie B, and GloRilla. As Page Six notes, when paired together, they often symbolize hope and new beginnings – perhaps a good sign for her and Machine Gun Kelly’s tumultuous relationship.
