Eminem Touchingly Announces His Daughter’s Pregnancy In “Temporary” Music Video

Eminem continues to hearten fans and draw a couple of tears from them, as he just dropped the music video for his The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce) cut “Temporary” featuring Skylar Grey. The song and visual is a touching tribute to his daughter Hailie Jade, with the lyrics hypothesizing on the Detroit rapper’s final message to her before his eventual passing. The visuals show old home video footage of Hailie, tearful moments at her wedding, and even the reveal that she’s expecting a child. We can’t believe that Marshall Mathers will become a grandfather soon, and from the looks of it, he can barely believe it either.

“I watched it in entirety and I don’t think I can do it again,” Hailie Jade recalled her reaction to Eminem’s “Somebody Save Me” music video featuring Jelly Roll, another family tribute. “I definitely cry every time I hear it at all. Between that and ‘Temporary’… I mean, I can’t. I audibly sobbed, I think, for both songs, but especially ‘Temporary.’ Watching the [‘Somebody Save Me’] video back and listening to the songs, I feel like my parents did such a good job growing up where I didn’t realize how bad things were.

I think that’s why I get emotional so much just thinking that that could have happened,” Hailie Jade shared concerning Eminem’s addiction struggles and near-death experiences. “And obviously that’s the point of the song. But I will say, if you’ve ever lost an addict or loved one, I feel for you.” “The older I get, the less I can listen to any of the songs,” she said of “Mockingbird.” “I’ve done enough crying and I told myself I refuse.”

However, Eminem and Hailie Jade aren’t the only ones who got emotional from these milestones. “I wish I had a daughter, I do, I wish I had a daughter,” 50 Cent recently told Haute Living of Hailie’s wedding. “I wish I had that [father-daughter] relationship. For female children, their dad is the first man they fall in love with. Male children go to their mom; I’m a mama’s boy myself. It was unbelievable, the wildest thing for me, period. I was like, ‘Yo, bro, this is cr*zy. We’re getting old. Your baby is grown. What the f**k is going on?’ I was having a moment myself over there. I told Em, ‘You said it was OK to cry? Because I’m crying.’ I couldn’t believe it went that fast.”

Eminem Hasn’t Run Out Of Rhymes Yet On “The Death Of Slim Shady” Deluxe Cut “Like My S**t”: Stream

Eminem is still firing on all cylinders in 2024, and took a couple of months to bring the rest of The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce) to life. Moreover, he just released a deluxe version of the album, the Expanded Mourner’s Edition, with a new “Fuel” remix with Shady Record signees WESTSIDE BOOGIE and GRIP. Also, the Detroit legend officially put his two digital deluxe tracks onto streaming after months of exclusivity, and one of those is the cold-blooded “Like My S**t.”

If you’re curious, the other is “Kyrie & Luka” featuring 2 Chainz. On “Like My S**t,” though, Eminem proves that he hasn’t run out of rhymes in his notebook, flipping turns of phrase and homophones with the same playful cheekiness as always. The beat is a frenetically percussive one, with trill hi-hats, rattling percs, and light but frantic string melodies. Everything else is pretty much within the aesthetic and quality standard you’d expect as far as fast, shifting flows and his trademark irreverence.

Even though many fans expressed disappointment that The Alchemist wasn’t on this new deluxe, “Like My S**t” and the other cuts certainly give Eminem fans a lot to chew on. If you haven’t heard this track yet, find it on your preferred streaming service or check it out on YouTube below. Down there, you can also find some standout bars and the comments section for you to leave your thoughts on the record. As always, come back to HNHH for the latest great rap drops around the clock.

Eminem Fans Let Down By Lack Of Alchemist Beats On “The Death Of Slim Shady” Deluxe

Yesterday, Eminem unveiled The Death Of Slim Shady: Expanded Mourner’s Edition. The project boasts two brand-new tracks and a new skit. It even features a remix of “Fuel,” which includes several new and scathing Diddy disses. For the most part, fans are feeling the deluxe edition of Em’s latest album. They’ve been quick to point out, however, that none of the new tracks were produced by The Alchemist.

The Alchemist appeared in the trailer for the Expanded Mourner’s Edition of the LP, which Eminem dropped earlier this week. Of course, this led to speculation that he’d be a contributor, although this was never confirmed. Regardless, some fans are disappointed that the project arrives with no beats by the legendary producer, and questioning why he appeared in the trailer at all.

“Be Eminem’s promotion team: Film a whole trailer with The Alchemist in it, teasing songs produced by him. Proceed to drop one remix of a song that already dropped and two songs that were exclusive [face palm emoji],” one social media user writes. “Bro where is Alchemist production? You keep playing with my emotions,” another says. “@Eminem @rosenberg Why trailer with Alchemist and all that promo for 1 remix ? I don’t understand,” someone else claims.

New music isn’t the only thing Eminem is making headlines for these days, however. Earlier this week, he performed at the VMAs, throwing it back with a recreation of his iconic “The Real Slim Shady” performance from the 2000 awards show. What do you think of The Death Of Slim Shady: Expanded Mourner’s Edition? What about the new additions not featuring production by The Alchemist, despite him appearing in the trailer? Are you disappointed by this or not? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Eminem And 2 Chainz Embrace The ‘Kyrie & Luka’ Mindset On ‘The Death Of Slim Shady: Mourner Edition’ Track

In the words of Tsu Surf, rap is like basketball. Rick Ross and Meek Mill already claimed the “Shaq & Kobe” as the metaphoric comparison for their musical relationship.

Now, Eminem and 2 Chainz have staked ownership in another sports powerhouse pairing. Today (September 13), Eminem shared their latest collaboration “Kyrie & Luka,” which is featured on The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce): Expanded Mourner’s Edition.

Dallas Mavericks stars Kyrie Irving and Luka Dončić’s ability to bounce back from obstacles on the court serve as the track’s inspiration. 2 Chainz kicks the boastful track off rapping about just how far he’s come after being counted out earlier in his career. “School of hard knocks, I can f*ck around and teach you / License to kill, and I just got ‘еm renewed / Spokе to Def Jam and they talkin’ ’bout a renote / Spoke to Ghazi, and he can pay me in crypto,” rapper 2 Chainz.

Eminem takes the lyrical assist in another direction seemingly addressing the pushback from his previous line about Megan Thee Stallion.

“Hold up / Spit syllables on the mic in the booth / Like I’m at Drew’s, even if I win or lose / I’m in the news, even my interviews / Get like five million views, I get accused of misogyny because I will massage any bitch just like a masseuse,” he ended his verse.

Eminem & 2 Chainz Are Hip-Hop’s “Kyrie & Luka” On New Expanded Edition Cut

Eminem has delivered the Expanded Mourner’s Editon of his newest record The Death of Slim Shady with four new songs. Right after the emotional closing cut “Somebody Save Me”, it leads into a Steve Berman skit which essentially says that Slim Shady will always be around in some capacity. After that, fans will be treated to a remix of “Fuel” with Shady signees WESTSIDE BOOGIE and GRIP. Next is “Like My S***” and then, Eminem wraps things up with “Kyrie & Luka”. This cut features another previous collaborator in 2 Chainz, albeit a one-timer.

Prior to this, we heard them together on the remix of “Chloraseptic” that also featured PHresher. Sort of like the title suggests, “Kyrie & Luka” is essentially a track that displays how lethal of a one-two punch they are in hip-hop. They don’t trade bars, but they do both go on lengthy verses, just like how Irving and Doncic can go on extensive scoring runs on the basketball court. Also involved with this track is the legendary DJ Premier, and this is his first-ever full beat he’s made for Eminem. This track also plays into the “Kyrie & Luka” theme with the instrumental. For Tity Boi, he rides an interpolation of Eric B. & Rakim’s “Move the Crowd”. As for Em, he tackles more of traditional trap-like backdrop. Check out the track with the link below.

Eminem Returns With “The Death Of Slim Shady (Expanded Mourner’s Edition)”

Eminem couldn’t stay away. The rapper has made a habit of dropping deluxe versions of his albums after the dust has settled on the initial release. He basically dropped a whole other album when he put out the “Side B” collection for Music to Be Murdered By. The Expanded Mourner’s Edition of The Death of Slim Shady is a bit more streamlined, though. There are only five more tracks, and one of them is a skit with Steve Berman. Not much to say on the skit front. You know what Berman sounds like.

The rest of the songs on the Expanded Mourner’s Edition are fun. It’s fantastic to hear Eminem rap with Westside Boogie and Gun on “Fuel,” especially given the song’s propulsive beat. There’s a lot going on, but fans of dense bars are going to get their money’s worth. “Like My Sh*t” is a cool collaboration with FIFTEENAFTER, especially given how different the sounds of both artists are on paper. It doesn’t totally mesh together, but it’s still listenable. Much better is the 2 Chainz song “Kyrie & Luka.” Eminem and 2 Chainz may seem like another odd pairing, but they clearly have fun feeding off each other’s energy. We’d go as far as to call it the standout bonus track here.

Eminem Announces An Expanded Edition Of “The Death Of Slim Shady” With Comedic Trailer

Eminem is not done feeding his Stans in 2024. In a new Instagram post just moments ago, the Detroit legend has just announced an expanded edition of The Death of Slim Shady. Like with the rest of the album’s roll out, the “Houdini” MC is revealing this news via a trailer. It kicks off with the 51-year-old walking calmly and confidently into a lonely beer and wine convenient store. While strolling past the cashier, played by The Alchemist, he heads directly to the refrigerated section in the back. He takes out a half gallon of whole milk, slices it open, and leaves it to leak all over the floor.

The camera zooms in on the carton to reveal a missing poster with Slim Shady being the man on the run. In it, he’s wearing the exact same Jason Voorhees-inspired hockey mask he donned in the music video for “Tobey”. Eminem then exits the store and while leaving, Uncle Al jumps over the counter to yell at him. “Get the f*** out of here! Don’t come back!”. Then, the camera locks onto a surveillance monitor and you can hear the producer hilariously mumble, “They don’t pay me enough for this s***”.

Eminem’s Daughter Recalls Heartbreaking Reaction To “Somebody Save Me” Music Video

Hailie Jade says she can’t watch the music video for Eminem’s song, “Somebody Save Me,” without getting emotional. She discussed the track, which the legendary dedicated to her and her siblings, during an episode of her Just a Little Shady podcast. The music video features footage of her as a child while Eminem reflects on how his struggle with drugs and alcohol affected his parenting choices. “Another pill as I start to spiral / Message to my daughters / I don’t even deserve the father title/ Hailie, I’m so sorry / I know I wasn’t there for your first guitar recital,” he raps.

“Speaking of things I watched this past week, which I guess I’ll say watched, but I refused to watch again — the ‘Somebody Save Me’ music video is out and I did watch the thing,” Hailie said. “I watched it in its entirety. I don’t think I can do it again. I definitely cry every time I hear it at all. Between that and ‘Temporary’ … I mean, I can’t. I audibly sobbed I think for both songs, but especially ‘Temporary.’”

She continued: “Watching the [‘Somebody Save Me’] video back and listening to the songs, I feel like my parents did such a good job growing up where I didn’t realize how bad things were. Eminem’s Daughter Hailie Confessed That She ‘Audibly Sobbed’ To Two Of Her Dad’s ‘The Death Of Slim Shady’ Tracks

Eminem is tough as nail when it comes to any rap foe that takes aim at him. However, when it comes to the “Tobey” rapper’s relationship with his daughter Hailie Jade, he is a big ole softy.

On Eminem’s latest album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), he displayed his vulnerable side as a father on tracks like “Somebody Save Me” featuring Jelly Roll and “Temporary.” Yesterday (August 23), Hailie Jade confessed that each track brought her to tears.

On the latest episode of her podcast, Just A Little Shady, Hailie shared her emotional response after she listened to the records.

Although she admitted that she could only watch the official music video for “Somebody Save Me,” which features home footage, due to the overwhelming feeling it brought forth, the songs are another story.

“I definitely cry every time I hear it at all,” she said. “Between [Somebody Save Me] and ‘Temporary,’… I audibly sobbed I think for both songs but especially ‘Temporary.’”

While Eminem is proudly sober now, things weren’t always that way. One “Somebody Save Me,” Eminem things back on those times. However, Hailie Jade praised her parents for protecting her from truly seeing how difficult their battle with addiction was.

“I feel like my parents did such a good job growing up where I didn’t realize how bad things were,” she said. “But, now as like, an adult in hindsight, it’s so scary to think about. And I think that’s why I get emotional so much, like just thinking that could have happened.”

Eminem & Jelly Roll Drop Tear-Jerking Music Video For “Somebody Save Me”

Eminem is now just over a month removed from his latest album, The Death of Slim Shady. Overall, the record has received lukewarm reviews from critics, although his Stans seem to be enjoying it. Since its July 12 release and debut at number one on the Billboard Hot 200, it has slowly tapered off. It’s now sitting at number 16, and only one track is on the Hot 100. That is the lead single “Houdini”, and it is also beginning to fall down the ranks with it being at 24 as opposed to 20 last week. Regardless, though, Eminem achieving quite a bit of success at this stage of his career is highly impressive. Furthermore, there are still some other tracks to pull from it, including “Somebody Save Me”, the collaborative closer between Eminem and Jelly Roll.

The emotional weight is what makes this song so special, as both respective megastars divulge into the previous battles with addiction. In the case of Eminem, he raps about an alternate reality where he wasn’t able to be there for his kids’ biggest accomplishments. In a cool but gut-wrenching way, Eminem pieces various clips from his and children’s lives together in the new visuals for “Somebody Save Me”. Perhaps the saddest part of the video is at the beginning where a younger Marshall Mathers is on the couch in a slumber (due to his drug intake) and one his daughters imploring him to get up and eat. Instead, she sends her away and tells her to “shut the door”. Thankfully, Eminem was able to fight off his demons and his vices, and it goes to show how he strong he is and how much he cares about his family.
