T-Pain Is Making This Much Per Hour From Livestreaming

T-Pain revealed the amount of money he rakes in from an hour of live streaming him playing video games. In a recent interview, the rapper mentioned that he makes $50,000 to $60,000 per hour from his time on Twitch. He opened up about the platform, detailing how the convenience and ease of live streaming caused him to think about how much more difficult it is to profit in the music industry, as most artists make the bulk of their money from going on the road and touring.

“When you making $50,000, $60,000 an hour playing video games in your drawers, it’s kind of hard to get me to go out the country for, you know what I’m saying?” T-Pain said. He went on to explain that he’s actually on the lower end of the payment scale, when compared to some of his rapper/streamer peers. He specifically referred to Detroit rapper Tee Grizzley’s Twitch success in his explanation. “I’m on the low tier,” he said. “This dude’s making millions a month,” he explained. “I’m making less than Tee Grizzley. I know I’m making less. When we talk about hourly? I know I’m doing less than Tee Grizzley.”

T-Pain Makes Tens Of Thousands Of Dollars Per Hour To Livestream

T-Pain elaborated on how his deals work, discussing the sponsorships and endorsements that come his way because of streaming. “When I get deals like 7-Eleven, they gave me $250k to play any game I wanted for two hours,” he explained, before comparing the ease of a sponsored stream to the difficulty of performing music. “Just in certain intervals, just say, ‘Hey guys, 7-Eleven has pizza now. Don’t you want a pizza from 7-Eleven? Cool, let’s get back to the game for two hours.’ Easy money,” he said. “If you think I’m about to go pack clothes, go get on a stage for an hour and a half, sweat it out in a state that I don’t know what the f*ck is going on before I stay in that room and just say, ‘7-Eleven has pizza,’ and then go back to gaming?”

T-Pain’s explanation shows just how lucrative gaming and live streaming can be for celebrities. The previously mentioned Tee Grizzley also has a popular streaming channel and revenue that comes from things attached to that channel. Grizzley recently explained how he’s making millions a month from his Grand Theft Auto V role-playing server. A large part of that comes from membership fees from the 90,000 users who have joined the server he manages. As Twitch becomes an increasingly profitable outlet, more celebrities will join to have a steady side hustle. T-Pain can say he was one of the first successful crossovers into the space.

Gordo’s Production Shines On His Genre-Hopping Album “DIAMANTE”

Gordo has varied taste. The producer teased this variety during a Rolling Stone profile, and assured fans that they would get to hear it on his solo album, DIAMANTE. Well, the album has arrived, and Gordo lived up to his word. The album is one of the most wide-ranging of the year in terms of genre. There’s a blend of dance, reggaeton, rap, and R&B playing out on each track here, and it’s a testament to Gordo’s talent that he pulls these disparate strains together into something cohesive. The opener, “Guard Down,” is the album in microcosm. It’s simultaneously a dance floor banger and a slow burn love song with vocals from Alice Aera.

We’ve already singled out the standout Drake collabs on the album, “Sideways” and “Healing.” Despite being the biggest feature on the album, Drizzy blends seamlessly into Gordo’s global sound. “Sideways” in particular, is an obvious candidate for lead single. DIAMANTE shines even brighter, though, when the producer tweaks the signature sound of his guest features. T-Pain’s voice is altered to the point of being unrecognizable on the yearning track “Target.” Larry June, meanwhile, ditches soul chops to pontificate over Gordo’s busy drum pattern on “Lake Como.” Leon Bridges sounds refreshed over a contemplative musical bed on “Candid Zone,” and Maluma takes a nocturnal left turn on the busy “Pareca.” Gordo has the chops to make each of his collaborators shine, and the result is the most eclectic mainstream album of 2024. It’s going to be hard to top it.

Drake’s Long-Anticipated Gordo Collab Finally Has A Release Date

Drake and Gordo have a strong track record together. The rapper and producer have worked together on “Sticky,” “Massive” and “Rich Baby Daddy” among several others. Gordo was a big influence on Drake’s Honestly, Nevermind, an album that’s slowly developing a cult fandom. He’s also been touting another Drake collab for months. The producer posted a photo alongside the 6 God back in May. He seemingly cried wolf again when he posted an IG Story with the text “July 12.” Thankfully, a proper release date for their collab has finally dropped. And it’s soon.

Gordo will release his debut solo album, Diamante, on July 26. The album boasts a star-studded tracklist, with features from the likes of Feid and T-Pain but Drake is the real standout. The Toronto rapper will not only feature on the song “Sideways,” but reportedly served as a consultant on the album overall. Gordo discussed this unique partnership during a recent profile with Rolling Stone. If Drake says, ‘This is it, and this is what you should listen to, this is what I listen to, and this is an incredible piece of work,” he stated. “He rides for me that heavy and he’s letting the world know that, then that says a lot.”

Drake Was A Creative Consultant On Gordo’s Album

Gordo promises that Diamante will be a wide-ranging album in terms of sound. He will incorporate all of the musical genres he listens to, despite primarily being known for his hip-hop production. “It’s so hard when you’re talking to a guy like me,” he told the outlet. “Because I’m trying to keep up with rap, with dance music, house, with techno, with Mexican corridos. Everyone here is doing their job.” While the vision for the album is undoubtedly his, Gordo again praised Drake for working with him, and providing his expertise on songs in which he wasn’t even involved.

Obviously, Drake has been busy with other things in 2024. The Kendrick Lamar battle being the most obvious of these distractions. Gordo also mentioned the battle, and how little it ultimately means for the rapper’s musical legacy. “F*ck all the bullsh*t to the side with everything that’s happening right now,” the producer asserted. “Drake is Drake, right.” The Gordo and Drake collab will be track two on Diamante. The last track is being kept a secret, with many fans hoping that the 6 God pops up a second time.

Foxx’s expressive vocal performance and Twista’s energetic verses add a unique dynamic to the track, making it stand out in his discography. Additionally, “DJ Play A Love Song” resounded with fans for its relatable lyrics and sensual vibe. The track’s success further established Foxx’s reputation as a universal R&B artist. It cemented his presence in the scene, proving his talent for creating memorable and heartfelt music.

5. “Can I Take You Home” (2005)

See it: Jelly Roll Brings T-Pain and Hip-Hop Energy to 2024 Stagecoach Festival

Jelly Roll Brings T-Pain and Hip-Hop Energy to 2024 Stagecoach Festival

Country music has been receiving considerable attention from fans outside the genre lately, especially with Beyoncé’s recent hit Cowboy Carter. However, it seems Jelly Roll just invited Hip-Hop fans to the biggest country-themed festival of the year, the 2024 Stagecoach Festival.

Friday night, Jelly Roll brought out T-Pain by seamlessly incorporating the iconic singer, songwriter, and rapper into his country set. T-Pain did not disappoint. He gave the crowd a medley of his hits, including “Buy U a Drank,” which everyone in the crowd seemed to know. Jelly Roll and T-Pain even performed a cover of the late Toby Keith’s “Should’ve Been A Cowboy.”

But Jelly wasn’t just relying on T-Pain for the Hip-Hop vibes. Get this: He performed some classic rap records. He gave the crowd Biz Markie’s “Just a Friend,” then took it to some harder hits like DMX’s “Ruff Riders’ Anthem” to easily become a fan favorite in Eminem’s “Lose Yourself.”

The Stagecoach audience is usually pretty dedicated to the country genre they came to see, and this could have been a miss, but Jelly Roll, with a little help from T-Pain, executed the surprise set effortlessly.

Pitbull And T-Pain Are Bringing 00s Vibes Back With “Party After Dark Tour”

Pitbull and T-Pain dominated the 2000s. It was tough to go more than a few minutes on the radio without hearing their voices on hits like “Hotel Room Service” and “Buy U A Drank.” Both artists symbolize good times in a club setting, whether they were the main artist or the feature, so it makes perfect sense that they’d join forces for the upcoming “Party After Dark Tour.” The North American tour will kick off August 21 in Virginia, and culminate October 5 in New Mexico.

Pitbull and T-Pain hyped up the tour on their respective social media accounts. “Get ready! I’m heading your way for the #PartyAfterDarkTour w/ special guest @TPAIN,” the former wrote on Instagram. “Tix on sale Friday at 10am. Daleeee.” T-Pain, meanwhile, tweeted: “HEY BABY GIRL WHATCHU DOING THIS FALL??? I’m going back on the road with my brother @pitbull.” If the sight of these two aughts icons wasn’t enough to delight fans, specific dates on the tour will also feature appearances from Lil Jon. These specific dates include stops in Washington and California.

Pitbull and T-Pain have a brief but impressive track record. They scored a massive hit out the gate with 2011’s “Hey Baby (Drop It to the Floor),” which peaked at number seven on the Billboard Hot 100. They followed it up with “Shake Senora,” then took a decade break before reuniting for “Lit In the City” last year. Both artists have continued to tour, but Pitbull did stir up controversy during a 2021 show in which he attacked critics of the United States. “To whoever the f**k doesn’t like the United States of America,” he said onstage. “May God bless you, but f**k you at the same time. He later said he credited his huge success to living in the U.S. and therefore felt very passionate about the country.

That was then, however. Pitbull is back to making people dance, because that’s what he enjoys the most at the end of the day. He reflected on his “party rapper” status during an interview with the San Diego Tribune. “They always looking at Pitbull like, ‘Oh, he’s just the party guy. He’s just making these club anthems’,” he noted. “[I] put these records out because I knew that people would enjoy them and it could feed their wild side.” This “wild side” is exactly what Pitbull and T-Pain will be feeding on tour.

Tickets go on sale starting April 26 at 10 a.m.

Meghan Trainor Launches Her Upcoming Album ‘Timeless’ With The T-Pain Collab ‘Been Like This’

Meghan Trainor has been enjoying a second wave lately. After starting her career with major hits “All About That Bass” and “Lips Are Movin,” Trainor has become a dominant presence on TikTok with songs like “Made You Look” and “Mother,” both from her 2022 album Takin’ It Back. (She also generated some attention in 2023 for talking about sex with “big boy” husband Daryl Sabara.)

Now, she’s looking to ride the wave even further: Today (March 14), Trainor announced Timeless, her sixth album. The project is set for release on June 14, but today, she shared “Been Like This,” a new collaboration with T-Pain. As would be expected from Trainor, the song brings vintage doo-wop sounds to present day in a poppy and fun way.

Meanwhile, Trainor gave birth to her second child last summer, she announced at the time with adorable photos. Also last year, Trainor spoke about the time she and Charlie Puth made out while working on their 2015 duet “Marvin Gaye.” Puth later confirmed the story, saying, “I had just moved to LA and yeah, I’m not denying that happened. That definitely did happen once in 2015. I also don’t think I’d ever had vodka before, Grey Goose vodka.”
