Last year R&B singer / songwriter Summer Walker was mommy-shamed for feeding her infant daughter a vegan diet. Summer’s baby daddy, music producer London on Da Track, is not a fan of the baby’s vegan diet.
This weekend after Summer made a nasty post about London, triggering a back and forth, that led to London revealing he had been trying to take Summer to court over what she feeds the baby.
London On Da Track has responded to Summer Walker’s rant where she called him a lousy father while claiming their kid had “rashes from head to toe” when he brought the baby back to her. The singer mentioned in a post that once, after her child returned from a visit with him, she had a bruise on her head, and another time she had a burn on her arm.
The singer accused her former boo of allowing someone to “kidnap” their child and “threatened to not bring her back for no reason,” and being a narcissist, saying he only wants their daughter for Father’s Day for pictures.
“Don’t make me post alllll the day and mothers you’ve went without calling or picking her up,” she said. “LMAO … I have everyday marked on my calendar, hell I told you to come get her this weekend and you said ‘na you’ll get her Father’s Day almost 2 weeks from now just so you can take your lil pictures n drop her back off. You really a class a narcissist.” We hope these two can work it out for Bubbles.

June 24 is going to be a hot summer night in LA — both literally (likely) and figuratively (almost assuredly). A Hot Summer Night In LA is the name of Summer Walker‘s headlining concert at the Staples Ce-fine, Crypto.com Arena (yuck), which will feature a slew of special guests including Jazmine Sullivan, Ari Lennox, Saucy Santana, Joyce Wrice, Doechii, and Alex Vaughn. Ladies, leave your man at home. The show is billed as part of BET Awards weekend, with a special pre-sale for Summer Walker fans today through May 5 at 10 pm PT. The general sale starts on Friday at 10 am.
The show will be something of a coronation for Ms. Walker, who released her new album Still Over It last November to a truly impressive reception. It became the first album by a female R&B singer to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200 since 2016 (following Solange’s A Seat At The Table) and signified that R&B’s mainstream comeback is no passing fancy. A Hot Summer Night In LA is sure to keep that energy going with a lineup consisting mainly of R&B-singing women backed by rappers who bring boss-bitch energy.
After returning from a 3-year hiatus, Sol Blume has grown into one of the largest annual R&B events in the country while also playing host to an all-female headlining lineup that included Jhené Aiko, Jazmine Sullivan, Summer Walker, and Jorja Smith. The 2 day Sacramento festival saw 40,000+ total guests this year.
Headlining acts on Saturday night featured Jorja Smith and Jazmine Sullivan, followed by Jhené Aiko and Summer Walker who helped close out the festival on Sunday night.
Additional performers included Thundercat, Alina Baraz, Syd, SiR, Lucky Daye, Smino, Blxst, Tinashe, Majid Jordan, and DVSN, among many others. This year’s lineup also feature several acts with local Sacramento roots including Victoria Monét and Yelly.
The Black-owned, Sol Blume Music Festival will return in 2023 with dates to be announced. For more info visit here.
This past weekend, Sol Blume festival returned to Sacramento, CA for the time since 2019. Held at Discovery Park – with its sweeping 300-acre riverfront grounds – the third edition of the festival saw a powerful, all-female headlining bill in Jazmine Sullivan, Jorja Smith, Summer Walker and Jhene Aiko.
In recent years, we’ve seen lineup figures cross the 30 percent mark of female-led acts on the bill, but that number seldom affects the headlining slate, which is typically dominated by male artists. Some festivals recently made it a priority to feature female-led acts in at least half of the bill, but when it comes to hip-hop/R&B, that effort is generally negligible. Sol Blume is (hopefully) pioneering a new trend in booking multiple women to headline festivals across all genres.
Day 1 of the festival kicked off with perfect weather and R&B stars like Ravyn Lenae, Lauren Jauregui, and Lucky Daye. West Coast rappers Buddy and D Smoke brought some balancing hip-hop energy across the two festival stages before DVSN, Majid Jordan, Alina Baraz, Jazmine Sullivan, and Jorja Smith took over for some nighttime, sing-along R&B vibes. Sol Blume producers made a note to make sure none of the set times overlapped across the two stages, so ticket holders truly got their money’s worth being able to catch every act on their wish list.
Day 2’s energy was just as high as Day 1, with West Coast stars like Rexx Life Raj, Victoria Monet, Tinashe, BLXST, and Syd packing Discovery Park and priming the thousands in attendance for two of R&B’s biggest stars of today: Summer Walker and Jhene Aiko.
