Saweetie Checkmates Twitter User Who Claimed She’s Not As Rich As She Says

Saweetie’s recent $25 million outfit for the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party turned a lot of heads for a lot of reasons. She stunned, she slayed, she served… but some folks think she deflected, too. Moreover, one particular Twitter user took to the social media platform on Monday (March 11) to allege that the California rapper isn’t actually as rich as she implies with her multi-million dollar fashion choices. “Ion be believing these celebrities got as much money as they act like they got,” the skeptic wrote. Then, she replied to this with a respectful and polite message, but one that pointed out that things aren’t exactly as they see them.

“How does ur thought correlate with this video?” Saweetie clapped back on Twitter, now known as X. “We get dressed to go to red carpets i never said they was mine… the fact that a video of a girl enjoying some diamonds provoked u says more about u than it does about me babes.” Of course, this is far from the first time that she responded to social media trolls in a notable way when it comes to her moves and releases this year.

However, don’t get it twisted: the 30-year-old isn’t all vindictive online or in person. Even though, Ye would have you believe Adidas is screwing him over, he is not totally absolved from receiving criticism. The legendary Georgia-born rapper’s antisemitic remarks left the iconic brand no choice but to drop him. It is the exact reason why some fans are so enraged that Kanye West and Y/Project are collaborating.

Our Generation Music also revealed that Tyga and former adult film actress Mia Khalifa, are all models for the Y/Project fashion company. Pop singer Charli XCX and model Irina Shayk are in the mix too, to promote their Fall and Winter collection. Kanye can be seen rocking another form of face protection. This time though it is a heavy, black puffer-like jacket.

Rihanna’s 2014 IG Post That Put PUMA Shoe Design In Public Domain, Denied Trademark Protection

There are not too many more iconic pairings in the music and fashion world than Rihanna and PUMA. They have been together for just about a decade now, which is kind of crazy to think it has not been longer. The multicultural multi-hyphenate has done a lot for the athletic wear and shoe brand over the years. However, that is not to say that it has all gone smoothly, even though nothing really does. According to HipHopDX, PUMA is still having no luck getting a trademark approved with the European Union’s Intellectual Property Office.

This all began on signing day for the R&B legend, which was in late 2014. Rihanna posted that she was inking her deal to become PUMA’s creative director on her Instagram with the caption, “on the dotted line. #PUMA” However, she made one crucial mistake by including her shoes in the photo. That put the unreleased show with the original ethos out into the public domain one year prior to the registration being filed in 2016. Essentially, she disclosed the design, leaving it open to be taken up by someone else, rendering a patent useless.

Dutch shoe wholesaler J.H. van Hilst won the case in 2016, but PUMA was adamant to get the original ruling overturned. Unfortunately, it was shot down once again. The argument against PUMA was that because of Rihanna’s status, many people could have taken interest in her clothing. The one silver lining in this is that this only pertains to Europe, not the United States.

Throughout the rollout for Vultures, Ye has been dropping a ton of new garments. These pieces are typically a mix of streetwear fashion and album merch. Fans have been quick to scoop these options up as they know stock levels can diminish on the Yeezy website, extremely fast. Unfortunately, not every review of these new offerings has been positive.

Case in point, a man recently bought the Vultures 1 shirt that is going for $20 on the Yeezy website. Below, you can see that he had a pretty bad experience with how the shirt actually fits. Out of the package, the man notes that the shirt is fairly boxy, and looks like a pillow case. Subsequently, he went to go put on the garment, and he quickly realized just how poorly it actually fits him. It was a brutal experience, and the man couldn’t help but laugh at the entire situation.

Kanye West has always been experimental when it comes to clothes. Overall, he tries to do things differently, and sometimes, that doesn’t end up working out. However, the experimentation has positioned Yeezy nicely as a brand that could push boundaries. Hopefully, Ye will take the critique in stride, and fix the clothes accordingly. The top was actually a bodysuit paired with high garter boots that exposed her rear, so she’s back to being a bit more provocative.

Moreover, for those unaware, Bianca Censori had turned heads last week when she and Ye traveled back to the U.S. from Europe. It wasn’t because of a particularly controversial or lewd style choice as expected, but rather due to a more conservative one. Future’s New Lanvin Lab Clothing Line Is A “Tribute To Classic Streetwear”

Back in 2023, Future teamed up with Paris-based luxury fashion house Lanvin to drop his first clothing collection under Lanvin Lab. The hitmaker designed all the pieces for the collection. At the time, he admitted that he had been a fan of the brand for some time. He also revealed that he always aspired to try his hand at fashion design. The unisex ready-to-wear line “emphasizes Future’s love of layering and tailoring, with an impressive flair for accessories,” according to the brand.

Now, still hot off of the success of the first collection, Lanvin Lab has unveiled Future’s second clothing line in collaboration with the fashion house. The drop includes pieces like hoodies, sweatpants, t-shirts, and more. It also includes various accessories, including sunglasses, hats, and even a luxury silk travel kit. According to Lanvin’s latest social media posts about the collection, it “combines vintage references, modern sensibilities and impeccable craftsmanship for a playful and unapologetic celebration of color, culture and creativity.”
