On December 4th, Eat. Learn. Play. and co-founders Stephen & Ayesha Curry kicked off their 12th annual Christmas with the Currys by surprising over 200 Oakland students at Madison Park Academy with a holiday extravaganza.

Under the uplifting theme of Giving Joy, Eat. Learn. Play. is spreading the joy of reading and fostering vibrant communities in Oakland through their commitment to reimagining libraries, transforming schoolyards and creating unforgettable experiences for students. Christmas with the Currys will continue throughout December, with Oakland elementary students experiencing pop-up book fairs where they can choose books to take home, continuing to promote literacy and grow the joy of reading.

During the event, Eat. Learn. Play. announced their newest initiative to renovate elementary school libraries throughout Oakland Unified School District in 2025 and beyond. Madison Park Academy marks the first elementary school library to be refreshed, which was unveiled to students and faculty amongst the holiday celebrations. Libraries will be refreshed with books that kids love to read, new library furniture and grants that provide additional support in spaces they are excited to be in.

In partnership with Literati, Madison Park Academy students experienced a bookfair filled with a curated selection of age-appropriate and diverse books for students to take home and build their personal library. Students were able to spark their creativity and imagination by participating in a workshop led by KABOOM! and guided by artists from Pixar to sketch and design their ideal schoolyard.

Bringing holiday cheer through gift giving, each student was surprised with a backpack from Eat. Learn. Play. and Under Armour filled with school supplies. Students also had the opportunity to interact with a holiday themed petting zoo, filled with baby ponies, chickens, piglets and more. They were also able to get active, competing in a fun, holiday field day.

Christmas with the Currys wouldn’t have been possible without Eat. Learn. Play.’s village of corporate and community partners including Kaiser Permanente, Workday, Joie, Lineage, Nuna, Under Armour, Safeway Foundation, Chase, DGDG, PG&E Corporation Foundation, Rakuten, Ripple, Back to the Roots, The Bay Golf Club, The Brady Hunter Foundation, Champion Charities, Ghirardelli Chocolate, GoGo Squeez, Golden State Warriors, Literati, MasterClass, Pixar, PLEZi and more.

Ayesha Curry Poses With Drake Affiliate After “Meet The Grahams” Reference

Kendrick Lamar really put a dent in Drake’s reputation with “Meet the Grahams.” Other disses were more popular, and easier to replay, but the Alchemist-produced single was brutal. Lamar presented a scathing indictment of Drake’s persona and his vices to the world. He also warned famous celebrities to stay away from the 6 God moving forward. These celebs including LeBron James, Steph Curry and their respective families. Which is what makes the recent public appearance by Steph’s wife, Ayesha Curry, so surprising.

Ayesha Curry appeared on the Instagram Story of OVO Mark, a veteran Drake affiliate. The two are seen sitting on the front steps of a house and sipping drinks together. DJ Akademiks took note of this link up and used it to illustrate the fact that Lamar’s advice fell on deaf ears. “OVO Mark with Ayesha Curry,” Ak wrote in the caption. “‘Steph keep the family away’ aging like milk.” Ayesha Curry’s appearance in a bit of a surprise, but those who have kept up with Steph Curry’s comments know that he never turned his back on Drake during the beef.

Ayesha Curry And Steph Curry Continue To Support Drake

Steph Curry voiced his annoyance with another Kendrick Lamar diss, “Not Like Us,” during one of the U.S. Olympic Games. He also sang the praises of the 6 God during an interview with GQ. “I’m a big Drake guy. I’ve been for a long time,” he asserted. “I think obviously you know what it is for the rap industry to have that, but I still rock with Drake. Absolutely. Absolutely.” Curry and his former Warriors teammate, Kevin Durant, have continued to show their support for Drake post-battle. Ironically, the NBA star that Drake was closest with, LeBron James, has done the opposite.

LeBron James gushed about “Not Like Us” during the aforementioned video of Curry dismissing the song. He also appeared in the audience during Lamar’s “Pop Out” show on Juneteenth. Drake appears to have taken notice of this lack of support. He unfollowed James on Instagram, along with Lamar and several other celebs on October 1. That friendship seems severed, but the mutual admiration between Drizzy and the Curry family seems very much intact.

Curry shared insights about the design process that led to the Curry 12, saying, “We were in Portland four years ago, and they brought in every shoe that was ever made. They brought in a bunch of inspirational pictures, and I just put it all on the table, just show me what you like… From there, [the designer] kind of understood what my design language is and how he could take their inspiration and say, ‘Okay, this is what works.’”

Steve Kerr Echoes Steph Curry at DNC, Calls for Voters to Tell Trump ‘Night Night’

Steve Kerr Echoes Steph Curry at DNC, Calls for Voters to Tell Trump 'Night Night'

Chicago Bulls legend and current Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr visited fresh off winning gold at the Olympics to the Democratic National Convention stage. What was his message? He echoed Stephen Curry’s infamous celebration and wants to put former President Trump to bed at the ballot box. Eloquently, the message is simply, “Night Night.”

“After the results are tallied that night, we can, in the words of the great Steph Curry, we can tell Donald Trump, ‘Night Night.’”

Steve Kerr Uses Steph Curry’s “Night Night” To Diss Donald Trump At DNC

Steph Curry’s “Night Night” gesture has become one of the most iconic in sports. Curry has used it to tuck away his opponents for over a decade. It recently had a resurgence in popularity due to his stellar play during the Paris Olympics. Steve Kerr, Curry’s long time coach on the Golden State Warriors, spoke at the Democratic National Convention on August 19. The legendary player/coach made his opposition to Donald Trump very clear during his speech. The highlight, however, came when he utilized his player’s iconic move to dismiss Trump’s campaign.

Kerr has been an outspoken critic of Trump’s for years. He honed in on the former president’s lack of leadership skills during his speech. “I believe that leaders must display dignity,” he asserted. “I believe that leaders must tell the truth. [In] leaders must care for and love the people they are leading. I believe leaders must possess knowledge but with full awareness that none of us has all the answers.” Steve Kerr then put his hands to the side of his head, emulating Curry’s signature move, and said: “In the words of the great Steph Curry, we can tell Donald Trump, ‘Night Night.’” The moment drew cheers from the audience.

Steve Kerr Has Openly Criticized Trump For Years

Steve Kerr also acknowledged the risks he took voicing his political stance, given his day job with the Warriors. “I can see the ‘shut up and whistle’ tweets being fired off right now,” he noted. “It was too important as an American citizen not to speak up in an election of this magnitude.” In a desire to bring both sides of the party line together, however, Curry pointed to the success of the recent Olympics teams. “Now imagine what we could do with all 350 million of us playing on the same team,” he said. “Not as Democrats. Not as Republicans, not as Libertarians. But as Americans.”

Steph Curry has not been as politically vocal as Steve Kerr, but he shares his coach’s view on Trump. He told Rolling Stone that Trump was a serious threat to the country and should be treated as such. “Most of his rhetoric,” Curry noted. “Before he was president, during his last four years, and even now, if he tries to run again — has a tone of divisiveness that doesn’t have a place in our country.” Only time will tell if the invocation of Curry’s “night night” moves proves prophetic.

SOURCE SPORTS: LeBron, Steph, and KD Lead USA to Gold Medal Game in Epic Comeback

LeBron, Steph, and KD Lead USA to Gold Medal Game in Epic Comeback

In a thrilling semifinal, Steph Curry led the USA Men’s Basketball team to a stunning 95-91 comeback victory over Serbia, securing their spot in the Gold Medal Game. Curry delivered an outstanding performance with 36 points and nine 3-pointers, igniting a fourth-quarter rally that saw the USA overturn a 17-point deficit. The United States outscored Serbia 32-15 in the final quarter, ensuring a rematch against France in the Gold Medal Game, echoing the 2021 Tokyo Games clash.

Facing its first loss of the summer and the possibility of contending for the bronze for the first time since 2004, the USA ramped up its defense. MVPs LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Joel Embiid, and Curry led the charge to turn the game around. Serbia hit five 3s in each of the first three quarters and entered the fourth shooting 50% from deep. However, in the fourth, they went 0-9 from beyond the arc as the USA tightened its defense.

Down seven with six minutes to play, Embiid went on a personal 7-2 run, including a blocked shot, to keep the USA in the game. After a missed 3 by Serbia, LeBron finished a drive to tie the game at 84-84 with 3:41 left. Curry’s ninth 3-pointer gave the USA an 87-86 lead with 2:24 left. Back-to-back layups by LeBron and Curry pushed the lead to five. Despite a late Serbian push, Curry sealed the game at the free-throw line. LeBron’s triple-double (16 pts, 12 reb, 10 ast) marked the fourth in Olympic history, and he became the first player with multiple Olympic triple-doubles. Serbia’s Nikola Jokic (17 pts, 5 reb, 11 ast) and Bogdan Bogdanovic (20 pts) shone in the loss.

“It was only a matter of time before he had one of these games,” James said of Curry. “We can see it every day. He put too much work in not to have a game like this, and we wouldn’t want it any other way. It was a perfect time for Chef to come out and do what he did.”

The Gold Medal came is set for Saturday afternoon.

Steph Curry Admits He’s Still A Huge Drake Fan After Kendrick Lamar Beef

Steph Curry is one of the greatest basketball players of his generation. It should come as no surprise, then, that he’s been referenced multiple times by multiplatinum rappers. Drake has been a practice of likening himself to Curry since 2015. The Golden State superstar seemed to appreciate the shout outs, carrying on a public friendship with Drizzy over the last decade. 2024 hasn’t been a great time for Drake or his fans, though, and many celebrities have hopped off the bandwagon. Steph Curry isn’t one of them.

Curry was the focus of a recent profile in GQ Sports. He discussed his career, and his involvement in the U.S. Olympics. The most unexpected, yet intriguing part of the profile, however, came when the Drake vs Kendrick Lamar beef was mentioned. Steph Curry did not hesitate to weigh in, and put his sizable weight behind the 6 God. “I’m a big Drake guy. I’ve been for a long time,” he asserted. He recognized that it has become fashionable to rag on the Toronto superstar, but he’s remained steadfast in his fandom. “I think obviously you know what it is for the rap industry to have that,” Curry added. “But I still rock with Drake. Absolutely. Absolutely.”

Steph Curry Is A Bigger Drake Than K. Dot Fan

Steph Curry’s name was actually used as a dig against Drake on the Kendrick Lamar diss “Meet the Grahams.” Lamar urged Curry to keep his family away from the rapper, given the accusations that have been leveled at him. LeBron James’ family was also mentioned, but James has made it very clear that he has no problem switching sides. Despite being a Drake stan for over a decade, James hyped up Dot and even went to the Pop Out show on Juneteenth. The divide between Steph Curry and James was crystal clear when “Not Like Us” played during the Olympics. Curry complained about the song. “Damn with this song,” he vented aloud. “It’s not the only song in America.” James, on the other hand, said he “loved it.”

Steph Curry has never discussed Kendrick Lamar publicly. There appears to be some bizarre synergy between the Compton rapper and Curry’s Warriors, though. Fans notice that whenever Lamar drops an album, the Warriors win an NBA title. It’s lined up multiple times: 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2022. The funny thing is that Lamar isn’t even a Warriors fan. He’s a Los Angeles Lakers supporter, through and through. If Dot decides to drop in 2024, though, the streak could be broken.

One thing for sure that NBA great Steph Curry and Drake will definitely agree on. Both the Canadian rapper and the living legend on the NBA are both tired of Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “They Not Like Us” aimed at Drake.

While Team USA was prepping for a pre-Olympics exhibition with Serbia in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday afternoon when Curry decided to get his feelings about the most famous diss record of all time off his chest.

At about the ten second mark, Curry yelled, “Damn with this song! It’s not the only song in America.”

To the contrary of Curry’s opinion, LeBron James commented that he actually loved the song.

Jermaine Dupri Responds To Steph Curry’s “Not Like Us” Fatigue, Kevin Durant Weighs In

Jermaine Dupri found himself a bit surprised by a recent take from Steph Curry. As you have probably seen by now, Curry exposed himself as someone who is completely tired of “Not Like Us.” Overall, this is the number-one song in the world. However, many have grown tired of it. Before a recent Team USA exhibition game, Curry noted that it isn’t the only song in the world and that he would like to hear something else from time to time.

This led to a video message from Durpi. In this message, the music mogul noted that the record is one that has had a massive impact. However, this current generation isn’t used to records lasting for more than a few weeks. Consequently, that is why someone like Curry may think that the song is getting overplayed. It’s certainly an interesting take from Dupri, especially given his track record as an industry leader who knows a whole lot about the music business.

Kevin Durant ended up replying to Dupri and noted that he thinks the music mogul is incorrect in his assessment here. “Maybe bro just wanna hear another song,” KD replied. Needless to say, there is a bit of division right now over the song. Although that is certainly going to be expected when it comes to diss tracks. Only time will tell for how much longer this track is going to end up lasting.

Let us know what you think of Dupri’s remarks, and KD’s subsequent reply, in the comments section down below. Do you believe that “Not Like Us” has been getting a bit old over the last few weeks? Steph Curry Admits He’s Tired Of Hearing Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us”

Steph Curry and Kendrick Lamar are West Coast legends. They revived the NBA and hip-hop scenes, respectively, and changed both mediums forever. There was even a viral TikTok going around on July 17, in which NBA athletes were compared to rappers. Low and behold, Curry and K. Dot were the two names linked. That being said, the Chef has had enough of Lamar’s latest record. He was captured on video during Team USA’s match against Serbia, and he was not happy when he heard “Not Like Us.”

Curry can be seen walking on the court after Team USA defeated Serbia. “Not Like Us” can be heard in the background, and the superstar is immediately annoyed. “Damn with this song,” he says. “It’s not the only song in America.” Curry’s reaction is immediately counterbalanced by LeBron James, who admits that he’s still a fan of the Drake diss. “I love it,” he tells Curry. Anthony Edwards doesn’t comment on the number one single, but he can be seen dancing to it before the video cuts out.

LeBron Told Steph Curry He Still Loves The Song

Steph Curry hasn’t spoken publicly about the Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar battle. However, he has been referenced by Lamar on “Meet the Grahams.” The Compton rapper tells Curry to keep his family away from Drake, due to Drake’s unsavory reputation. A reputation that Lamar himself perpetuated throughout the battle. The rapper also mentions LeBron James, which makes the “Not Like Us” exchange even more ironic. “Ayy, LeBron, keep the family away,” Lamar raps. “Hey, Curry, keep the family away. To anybody that embody the love for their kids, keep the family away.”

Drake, meanwhile, has referenced Steph Curry on multiple songs. He compared himself to the Chef on “0 to 100 / The Catch Up” in 2014. He also claimed to be running up the numbers like Curry on the 2016 smash “Why You Always Hatin.” The latter was a collab with West Coast veteran YG. A veteran who was among the people who distanced themselves from Drake and supported Kendrick Lamar during the beef. YG attended Lamar’s “Pop Out” show on Juneteenth, as did LeBron James. The latter was seen rapping and dancing in the audience. Curry, however, was nowhere to be found.
