Paul George Rejects Contract Offers From Clippers

The Los Angeles Clippers were eliminated from the first round of the NBA playoffs by the Dallas Mavericks. The Clippers and the Mavs seemingly go up against each other in the playoffs every season. The Clippers were without Kawhi Leonard and were thoroughly outplayed by the Mavericks in the final two games. Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic both put on clinics and led the team over the Clippers. The Clippers have a roster of aging stars. They want to keep James Harden, Paul George, and Kawhi Leonard together, but that’s going to mean someone taking a pay cut. Reportedly, Paul George isn’t going to be the guy who rejected the Clippers’ initial contract offers.

This offseason, the Los Angeles Clippers hope to keep both Paul George and James Harden, but they have thus far attempted to do it at a reduced cost. Kawhi Leonard has already inked a three-year, $152.4 million discounted deal with the Clippers. Their ballooned salary is getting out of hand. If Pual Goegre and James Harden both take less than they command in the market, the Clips might be competitive next season. The keyword is “might.” Paul George doesn’t want anything less than the max.

Lawrence Frank, president of basketball operations for the Clippers, commented on the Clippers star’s future. He said Monday, “We’d like to be able to bring back and retain Paul and James.” He continued, “We’re hopeful we can, but also understand and respect the fact that they’re free agents. Paul has a decision with his option. James will be an unrestricted free agent, so our intent is to bring him back, but also realize that they’re elite players and they’ll have choices.” George has made it known that he wants his contract extended. If the Clippers had offered him a max deal, he probably would have signed it by now. It appears that they haven’t so far. It’s a strange move for an organization with not a lot of leverage.

Retaining Paul George is the most important objective for the Clippers. With Paul George, they have one of the best wings in the league. Without him, they go from being an old but competitive team to an old team that’s not competing. It’s vital they stay competitive also because their new arena is opening up in LA soon. Overall, the situation in LA is up in the air, and The Clippers have a lot to take care of this offseason.

It has often been said that rap is wrestling — i.e., that the tangled web of feuds and over-the-top personalities that make up hip-hop’s galaxy of stars is just a reflection of similar rivalries in the world of sports entertainment. But now, Drake and Kendrick Lamar have the opportunity to make the saying literal, as the WWE’s Shawn Michaels has invited them onto the promotion’s NXT brand to settle their differences with Michaels as mediator. Now that would actually be exciting.

Of course, considering the WWE has just entered its “Triple H” era — titled after the stage name of chief content officer Paul Levesque, who took over for the ousted Vince McMahon — there’s a non-zero chance that all of this was just a kayfabe buildup for an in-ring rivalry for the two rap superstars. After all, there are only so many achievements left for them in their chosen field, so why not branch out?

(I’m only sort of joking here —- obviously, there’s got to be some real bad blood after Kendrick accused Drake of pedophilia while Drake insinuated Kendrick’s kids are his, but wouldn’t it be hilarious if they had really been planning this all along?)

They wouldn’t be the first music stars to enter the ring; in recent years, Snoop Dogg has dished out haymakers to The Miz, and Bad Bunny has frog-splashed Damien Priest into oblivion. So, it wouldn’t be completely out of the realm of possibility to see Drake and Kendrick don some tights and come to (scripted, but no less painful) blows.

In his song “Not Like Us,” Kendrick Lamar alluded to the iconic finisher from WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels, “Sweet Chin Music.” Now, Shawn Michaels is offering the two beefing rappers a chance to settle things in the ring. Shawn Michaels suggests Kendrick Lamar and Drake settle their beef in NXT. Michaels invited Drake and Kendrick to this week’s WWE NXT show via social media, even offering to mediate their ongoing dispute.

Shawn Michaels is a WWE Hall of Famer and one of the best to ever step in the ring. He is currently the head of NXT, the WWE’s developmental promotion, where they train and build up the next generation of WWE superstars. Hearing that one of the parties mentioned his signature finisher in an ongoing mega rap beef, Shawn Michaels thought about the business first. He extended his offer hilariously on Twitter.

Shawn Michaels wrote, “A little Sweet Chin Music goes a long way,” he then invited Kendrick Lamar and Drake to NXT’s next show to settle their beef. Michales even said he would mediate when they hash things out. Kendrick rapped about Michaels’s finishing move on “Not Like Us.” Kendrick rapped, “Put the whole label on me, I’m a get ’em dropped, Sweet Chin Music, and I won’t pass the aux.” Although it seems improbable that Drake and Kendrick would accept Michaels’ offer, a WWE match would be an incredible and hilarious thing to see.

Shawn Michael’s is no stranger to beefing with Canadians. One of professional wrestling’s most famous rivalries and personal beefs was between Michaels and Canada’s own Brett “The Hitman” Hart. The apex of their feud occurred when Micahels lost his championship during the infamous Montreal Screwjob. Overall, Shawn Michaels knows how far beef can go, and it’s never pretty. Maybe his offer to settle it in the ring will be cleaner than continuing to drop diss tracks.

Jimmy Butler missed the Miami Heat’s first-round playoff matchup with the Boston Celtics after suffering an injury in the Play-in against the Sixers. The Miami Heat went on to get eliminated by the Celtics 4 games to 1 as they struggled to generate any offense. The Heat were the 8-seed once again. Last Year, they were the 8-seed and went all the way to the NBA finals, ultimately losing to the Denver Nuggets. Jimmy Butler has recently made some comments about the playoff field, saying if he was healthy, it would be a different story. Miami Heat boss Pat Riley thinks Butler shouldn’t be talking.

Butler made some comments over the weekend about the Boston Celtics. Butler said of the number 1-seed in the east, “If I was playing, Boston would be at home.” He continued calling out the New York Knicks, saying, “New York damn sure would be (expletive) at home.” It’s tough talk from Butler, whose MCL injury sidelined him in the playoffs. Pat Riley, not one for nonsense or woulda-coulda-shoulda talk, did not like the comments at all.

Pat Knows that the important talking goes on on the court, and Jimmy Butler isnt playing, so he should be quiet.

The Jimmy Butler era in Miami might be over. There is speculation that his time is up in Miami, and with teams looking for an all-star wing, he is wanted elsewhere. Butler could reunite with Joel Embiid in Philadelphia. All in all, Miami doesn’t do funny business. Pat Riely doesn’t allow players to become distractions. No one is bigger than the organization, and this is a firm reminder of that.

Anthony Edwards wants the Michael Jordan comparisons to stop. He said, “I want it to stop. He’s the greatest of all time. I can’t be compared to him.” It’s a humble answer from a player whose game is far from humble. Ant is right, in a sense. People can get carried away with comparisons, and then when players don’t meet their expectations, they turn on them. This December, he’ll make college football history with the first-ever Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl Presented By Gin & Juice By Dre And Snoop.

The Arizona Bowl, established in 2015 and featuring teams from the Mountain West and Mid-American Conferences, will become the first NCAA bowl game to be presented by an alcoholic beverage company. Following their playoff exit, the Lakers fired head coach Darvin Ham after two seasons with the team. During First Take, the firing of Ham and LeBron’s part in it became the subject. The argument was that LeBron doesn’t take responsibility after losses, and the coach usually has to take the fall. LeBron has had 9 coaches in the NBA and will be receiving his 10th head coach in his two decades in the league. LeBron is one great player who hasn’t had a long tenure with a great coach, as Stephen A. Smith, Kendrick Perkins, and Shannon Sharpe discussed.

Former NBA player and ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins has made the audacious and divisive suggestion that LeBron James, who is considered to be among the game’s best players of all time, should retire in order to preserve his legacy. The statement has given fans mixed feelings for both his co-hosts and fans. Shayanna Jenkins, the mother of the late Patriots star’s sole child, expressed her disappointment that her late fiancé was the target of several jokes during the Netflix show. She feels this ultimately made his tragic tale seem trivial. She says, “It’s sad that I’m trying to raise my children in such a cruel world.” Shayanna continued by saying that Even though Aaron is no longer with them a lot of people have opinions about him and his life. Their 11-year-old daughter is still very much a part of her life and is affected by it all.

Last night, at Tom Brady’s Netflix roast, Tom made some jokes about Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband, Kanye West. Netflix’s latest entry into its comedy series The Greatest Roast of All Time, the NFL icon became the latest figure to be roasted. Kim Kardashian was a presenter at the roast, and after she was booed by the crowd, she delivered her three-minute set. She addressed the rumors that she and Tom Brady had dated in one of her jokes. Tom Brady ended the night giving back roasts to everyone who had jokes for him, including Miss Kardashian. Brady made a joke at the expense of Kim K that involved her ex-husband, Kanye West.

When it came to Brady’s turn to grab the mic and hand out some roasts himself, he joked about Kanye’s parenting skills. Brady hit back at Kim K, saying: “Thank you so much for being here. Tom did not like it one bit.

Just a few months have passed since Chrisean was served with a lawsuit for allegedly hitting James Wright last year. She responded pretty casually to the accusations. Fans have been critical of Rock, saying she should have given up all of her vices while pregnant with her new child.

Regarding Blueface and Chrisean as a pair, their relationship is up for interpretation. Blueface is currently incarcerated. Hopefully, there will be less drama concerning these two in the future for the sake of their child. Chrisean Rocks’ football career looks promising and positive.
