Jordyn Woods Surprises Karl-Anthony Towns With Iced-Out Birthday Gift

Jordyn Woods surprised her partner, the NBA’s Karl-Anthony Towns, with some serious drip for his 28th birthday. Woods showed off the gifts on social media – name a new set of chains and a diamond-encrusted ring. Designed by Tim Da Jeweler, the ring features 15.4 cts of VVS1/VVS2 diamonds, while the pendant is 14K rose gold with 37.5 cts of VVS1/VVS2 diamonds. Both are shaped like the number 32, a nod to Woods’ jersey for the Timberwolves.

Woods and Towns first linked up in 2020 and have expressed how happy they are together on multiple occasions. “We love gift giving and … What is it? The love language? The love language is quality time. We love everything. He does so much for me. I do what I can for him. I want to say it’s a lot. So when it’s time to show that appreciation, we like to go all out,” Woods told PEOPLE in a recent interview.

The most recent episode of The Kardashians also saw Tristan Thompson mention her as he apologized to Kylie Jenner about his past infidelities. “I feel — it really bothers me because it’s like, we’ve always had such a dope relationship, and then I feel like everyone got affected differently, you know? But I think you were affected the most. By a situation with losing a sister basically, you know. Like, you lost Jordyn, who’s a big part of your life. The fact that I came with my poor decisions and being a f-cking idiot and just being young and stupid, I just want to say I’m sorry again for that. Just because life is so short, and it sucks because even though we made our mistakes, sometimes it’s hard to come back from situations like that,” Thompson said.

In respond, Jenner used the moment to hold Thompson accountable. “You do some dumb a– sh-t. Why Tristan? Why? I think you have such a good heart and good energy and, like, to know you is to love you… [so] it is confusing because some of the sh-t you do is f-cking crazy,” Jenner shot back. Furthermore, it’s unclear if Thompson also plans to apologize to Khloe in a later episode as he continues his redemption tour on the show.

Andre Ward Gives Jake Paul His Flowers For Expanding Boxing’s Audience

Boxing legend and Olympic gold medalist gave high praise for Jake Paul during a recent interview on TMZ. “I don’t hate on it. The crossover stuff like what Jake Paul, Logan [Paul]is doing, [Francis] Ngannou just did, I respect it. That takes a lot of courage, takes a lot of heart. It actually brings a new audience, more eyeballs,” Ward said, “and if the fanbase follows them over to boxing, then more power to ’em. I’m a fan of it, I appreciate it and I watch it.” Ward said. The rise of non-traditional boxing has been a mixed bag. Jake Paul has talent but little desire to fight actual boxers. Logan is more interested in pursuing his wrestling career than in boxing. Furthermore, both his fight with Dillon Danis and KSI’s fight with Tommy Fury was referred to as a “disgrace to boxing”. However, then you have Francis Ngannou giving Tyson Fury “the toughest fight in a decade” and even receiving a WBC ranking out of it.

Jake Paul Reveals December Opponent

Meanwhile, Paul revealed his opponent for his upcoming bout in December. Paul will fight Houston-based professional boxer Andre August on December 15 in Orlando. The news comes just about a week after Paul’s team revealed that their initial opponent had failed to secure a visa for the United States. August is 35 years old and has a 10-1-1 career record. That makes him the most experienced fighter Paul has faced in his career so far. Furthermore, it marks a shift in Paul’s approach to boxing. It’s hard to take the decision as anything other than Paul addressing the primary criticism against him – that he takes name value over boxing reputation when it comes to opponents.

“I’m a professional boxer and I want to be world champion, so I need to pursue the path towards greatness against people who have been boxing their whole life. So far, my entire boxing career has been on pay-per-view, but now it’s about more than business. Now I want to build my experience in the ring against seasoned fighters. For her part, Kylie also expressed anxiety over Thompson’s impending visit, giving Kourtney at least one ally in the family.

During their chat, Kourtney asked Thompson if he “feels anything” after he cheats. Thompson, who has previously said that he is “now in a place to own his mistakes”, claimed he felt “disgusted”. However, Kourtney jumped on the answer, demanding to know why, if that was the case, he would cheat so frequently. Thompson, at this stage of his career, is better known for his infidelity and allegations of neglect than anything he does on the court.

Metta Sandiford-Artest Revealed As “The Masked Singer” Contestant

Metta Sandiford-Artest has become the latest contestant to be eliminated from Fox’s The Masked Singer. Sandiford-Artest, previously known as Metta World Peace, had been portraying “The Cuddle Monster” on the show where celebrities don elaborate disguises to conceal their identity. Sandiford-Artest was eliminated after the judges weren’t swayed by his performances of “You Got It (The Right Stuff)” and “Can’t Stop The Feeling”. He became the seventh contestant eliminated from the season, following the likes of Anthony Anderson and Billie Jean King.

“It was an amazing experience. I love the character and the chakra, I was asking to make I more zenful. We’re from the hood. But you know, we like a zen too. I was trying to make it fun. I can’t wait for my grandbaby to see this,” Sandiford-Artest told host Nick Cannon following his elimination. Nine contestants remain in the competition, with “Anteater” surviving the sing-off with Sandiford-Artest.

However, this may not be the last time we see Sandiford-Artest in a media role. Earlier this month, Cam’ron teased fans of It Is What It Is when he took to social media to hint at adding a new face to the lineup. “You already know, we about to get this meeting done,” Cam says in the clip. “It’s probably gonna be the biggest signing to the It Is What It Is team. The signing today is gonna be crazy,” Cam’ron told the camera in the brief clip. Along with the clip, Cam’ron also included a photo of him with two NBA legends – Mark Jackson and Metta Sandiford-Artest.

Jackson, laid off by ESPN earlier this year, is a New York native taken 18th overall in 1987 out of St. John’s. Named Rookie of the Year, Jackson would play nearly two decades in the league. After retiring in 2004, he would later return as a coach, heading the Warriors between 2011 and 2014. Meanwhile, Sandiford-Artest is a more recent product of St John’s. Taking 16th overall in 1999, Metta also spent nearly 20 years in the league. He picked up a ring along the way, winning the 2010 title alongside Kobe and the Lakers.

While plans aren’t fully confirmed, Andrea and Scott Swift are expected to share a luxury box with Donna and Ed Kelce, according to ET. Taylor’s father is reportedly a massive Eagles fan, although Travis claims to have converted him to the Chiefs fandom.

This claim, made on the Kelce Brothers’ podcast, New Heights, prompted Jason to shoot Scott Swift a DM. “What are we doing, Scott? You’re gonna let this man’s devilish good looks and relationship with your daughter sway you from a lifetime of fandom, Scott? Ridiculous,” Jason’s message to Swift read. However, it’s unclear if Taylor herself will be in attendance. She is due to perform in Rio de Janeiro for the three nights preceding the game. However, much like Kelce did to come see her in Argentina, she might pull a marathon trip to make the game.

Furthermore, Kelce used the latest podcast episode to speak on his recent trip to Argentina. Kelce admitted that he was “blown away” by an impromptu lyric change that Taylor Swift made to shout him out at a concert in Argentina last week. “Definitely when I heard it come out of her mouth, it still shocked me and blew me away,” he said. “I was like, ‘Oh, shhh! She really just said that! All right!’” Travis told his brother on their podcast.

Additionally, Travis revealed more about the dinner in Buenos Aires that he and Swift were spotted at by an ESPN reporter. According to Kelce, it also featured Swift’s dad. It’s unclear if this was the first time that Kelce had met Swift’s family. Kelce has put something of a lock on his relationship in recent weeks. Kelly Oubre Jr Video Shows NBA Star Minutes After Scary Hit-And-Run

A video acquired by TMZ shows a visibly injured Kelly Oubre Jr returning to his apartment moments after being struck by a car outside. The video appears to come from Oubre Jr’s door cam. It shows the Sixers player limping into his home while clutching his side and informing his wife what happened. As previously reported, Oubre Jr was struck by a car near his apartment building on the evening of November 11. He suffered a broken rib and lacerations to his hip after being caught by the car’s side-view mirror.

However, police reported that they could not verify Oubre Jr’s story at this time. According to reports, they have been unable to find surveillance footage of Oubre Jr being hit at the intersection of 15th and Spruce. Despite this, it’s likely due to the fact that Oubre Jr is new to Philadelphia. He joined the Sixers as a free agent this past offseason after two years in Charlotte. As a result, Oubre Jr himself has said that he only relocated to Philly in September. There is no current timetable for Oubre Jr’s return to the Sixers. However, experts and sources believe that he might be out for at least a month. The situation remains a developing story and we’ll have any updates as they emerge.

In their first game since the Oubre Jr’s accident, Tyrese Maxey dropped 50 points, dedicating the feat to Oubre Jr. However, the team has gone 0-2 since then, dropping a second game to the Pacers followed by a loss to the Celtics. Oubre Jr will be re-evaluated this week to try and better determine his recovery timetable. Draymond Green Suspended Five Games For Rudy Gobert Chokehold

Draymond Green has received a five-game suspension after placing Rudy Gobert in a chokehold during a brawl earlier this week. According to a statement given by the NBA, Green’s suspension was a result of the Warriors veteran “escalating an on-court altercation” by “forcibly grabbing” Gobert in “an unsportsmanlike and dangerous manner.” Furthermore, the league noted that Green’s history of unsportsmanlike conduct contributed to the length of the suspension. Green has previously been suspended four times for a total of four games. However, this latest suspension nearly doubles his total number of suspended games. Green’s last suspension came earlier this year as a result of stomping on Domantas Sabonis during a playoff game.

Meanwhile, Gobert, along with Klay Thompson and Jaden McDaniels, received $25,000 fines for their role in the brawl that occurred less than two minutes into Tuesday’s game. However, none of the three will miss any time, despite Thompson and McDaniels also being ejected. Green’s five-game suspension means he will miss a doubleheader against Oklahoma City, as well as games against the Suns, Rockets, and Spurs. He will next be available to play in a road game against the Kings on November 28.

The self-described “best musician in the NBA” proceeded to remix the show’s theme song (Cool J’s “Mama Said Knock You Out”) to reflect Green’s actions, instead singing “Mama Said Choke You Out”.

Meanwhile, Antonio Brown also weighed in on the situation. “Draymond Green in Antonio Brown” was the simple post that the former NFL star made on X, formerly Twitter. Brown is likely alluding to the notion that both men are/were “unfairly targeted” or demonized by their respective leagues. Brown, due to his position on the offense, was never given the label of being a dirty player. However, he does believe himself to have been essentially run out of the league for his on- and off-field antics.

Glen Davis Found Guilty In NBA Welfare Fraud Case

Former NBA player Glen Davis has been found guilty for his role in a wide-ranging scheme to defraud the NBA’s alumni welfare and healthcare policy. Nicknamed “Big Baby”, Davis is best known for his time as a role player on the late 2000s Celtics. The Celtics acquired Davis’ draft rights in 2007 alongside those of Ray Allen. Davis was out of the league by 2015, re-emerging in Canada for a season later in the decade.

However, Davis was part of a ring of nearly 20 former players who made millions from fraudulent healthcare expense claims. These were made against the league’s fund that provides healthcare to former players. According to sports CPA Robert Raiola, Davis was found guilty of “health care fraud, wire fraud, conspiracy to make false statements, and conspiracy to commit health care fraud and wire fraud.”

Davis will be sentenced next year. However, penal sentences are already starting to be handed down in the case. Terrence Williams, the 11th pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for “masterminding” the plan. Williams and Davis are just two of 18 former players charged in the case. 13 have pled guilty, with Williams the first to be given a penal sentence. Davis and Williams never played together during their respective tenures in the NBA.

“You were yet another player who frittered away substantial earnings from the period of time when you were playing basketball professionally,” Judge Valerie E. Caproni told Williams during sentencing. “You should have had enough money to be set for life, but you don’t.” While many of the former players in the case were journeymen, their career earnings still totaled $343 million. “I one million percent take full accountability for my role in this case,” Williams said, choking up as he blamed the scheme on “stupidity and greed.” However, Judge Caproni was unsympathetic, stating that Williams used his big personality to “lure” friends and family into the scheme.

While the Philly rapper has some wins against other musicians in streetball, Crawford is likely going to be a whole other challenge.

The reason Fat Joe responded in the way he did is because Crawford has actually taken Gillie up on the offer. “Aye @gilliedakid, they slipped you something real serious huh? Furthermore, Crawford suggested that the loser donate $50,000 to charity as a way of upping the stakes.

Crawford, a three-time Sixth Man of the Year, retired in 2020 after 20 seasons in the NBA. He was the eighth overall pick in the 2000 Draft and spent time with the Bulls, Knicks, Warriors, Hawks, Blazers, Clippers, Timberwolves, Suns, and Nets. While never claiming a ring or an all-star appearance, he is viewed as one of the most consistent, dedicated, and likeable players of his generation. Ice Cube Has Basketball Hall Of Fame Award Named After Him

The Basketball Hall of Fame has announced that it has named a new impact award after Ice Cube. The award honors Cube’s “extraordinary contributions to the world of basketball, his unparalleled passion for the game and his unwavering commitment to encouraging crucial dialogues surrounding inclusivity, equal opportunity, and racial and social justice while contributing to initiatives focused on education and community development.” It will be awarded to Cube on Martin Luther King Day next year in a ceremony in Massachusetts. It’s unclear if MLK Day will become the annual time when the awarded to presented to the new winner.

Cube, who founded The BIG3 3×3 league was blown away by the decision. “The Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Award named in my honor is truly remarkable. Words alone can’t express my gratitude for this recognition from such a prestigious organization. Having an award bearing my name only intensifies my commitment to advancing inclusivity and equal opportunity in sports, alongside my unwavering dedication to community activism,” the rapper said.

Despite the award, Cube is still very much feuding with the NBA. The rapper alleges that the NBA has been trying to kill off his BIG3 league. Reportedly, things were serious enough that the Justice Department has been quietly investigating a possible violation of anti-trust law “for months”. The NBA could be levied with a massive fine if the government does find them guilty of anti-trust violations.

One of the biggest pieces of evidence that Cube has presented is that the NBA prevents its players from appearing in The BIG3. However, it does not prohibit them from playing in other events such as the Drew League. Jaylen Brown recently became the first active NBA player to appear in The BIG3. The Celtics star took part in the league’s all-star game back in August. NBA referees have also seemingly been prohibited from officiating in the BIG3.
