Metta Sandiford-Artest Revealed As “The Masked Singer” Contestant

Metta Sandiford-Artest has become the latest contestant to be eliminated from Fox’s The Masked Singer. Sandiford-Artest, previously known as Metta World Peace, had been portraying “The Cuddle Monster” on the show where celebrities don elaborate disguises to conceal their identity. Sandiford-Artest was eliminated after the judges weren’t swayed by his performances of “You Got It (The Right Stuff)” and “Can’t Stop The Feeling”. He became the seventh contestant eliminated from the season, following the likes of Anthony Anderson and Billie Jean King.

“It was an amazing experience. I love the character and the chakra, I was asking to make I more zenful. We’re from the hood. But you know, we like a zen too. I was trying to make it fun. I can’t wait for my grandbaby to see this,” Sandiford-Artest told host Nick Cannon following his elimination. Nine contestants remain in the competition, with “Anteater” surviving the sing-off with Sandiford-Artest.

Is Metta Sandiford-Artest Joining It Is What It Is?

However, this may not be the last time we see Sandiford-Artest in a media role. Earlier this month, Cam’ron teased fans of It Is What It Is when he took to social media to hint at adding a new face to the lineup. “You already know, we about to get this meeting done,” Cam says in the clip. “It’s probably gonna be the biggest signing to the It Is What It Is team. The signing today is gonna be crazy,” Cam’ron told the camera in the brief clip. Along with the clip, Cam’ron also included a photo of him with two NBA legends – Mark Jackson and Metta Sandiford-Artest.

Jackson, laid off by ESPN earlier this year, is a New York native taken 18th overall in 1987 out of St. John’s. Named Rookie of the Year, Jackson would play nearly two decades in the league. After retiring in 2004, he would later return as a coach, heading the Warriors between 2011 and 2014. Meanwhile, Sandiford-Artest is a more recent product of St John’s. Taking 16th overall in 1999, Metta also spent nearly 20 years in the league. He picked up a ring along the way, winning the 2010 title alongside Kobe and the Lakers.

Nick Cannon Admits He Chased Nicole Scherzinger: ‘I Was So in Love With Nicole’

Nick Cannon Admits He Chased Nicole Scherzinger | The Source

As we have seen since he was a teen, Nick Cannon has no problems with getting a date. The Wild ‘N’ Out creator has 12 children with six different women. Throughout the years, Nick Cannon’s dating resume has been discussed. He has dated some A-list celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Christina Milian, and Selita Ebanks. The Drumline actor also dated Pussycat Dolls member, Nicole Scherzinger.

Now, they are both working on the hit show, “Masked Singer”, Nick Cannon admits that Scherzinger is the only woman that he has sought after romantically. The father of 12 was recently on The Jason Lee Show and told the host Scherzinger enamored him. In a game of “Smash or Pass”, Cannon says he wouldn’t smash his co-star now but had more to say about her.

“Everybody knows that’s my ex. I wouldn’t do it now. I was so in love with Nicole. That’s probably the only woman I’ve ever chased. I chased her. I gave her Bible verses. I gave her a custom Bible because she’s very spiritual and super into Christianity.”

Although it took years, the Love Don’t Cost a Thing actor won her over with a custom Bible. Schrizingher has never commented on their relationship, but Cannon has nothing but nice things to say about the “Masked Singer” host.

Grandmaster Flash Was The Voice Behind The ‘Polar Bear’ Character In His Reveal On ‘The Masked Singer’

During this week’s episode of The Masked Singer, viewers were shocked to find out that the person behind the Polar Bear costume was none other than Grandmaster Flash.

“In the world today, there’s a lot of sadness and when I seen this show on a rough day I had for business – I was laughing!” Grandmaster Flash said according to HipHopDX. “It actually had me laughing. It allows you to let your guard down and just have fun. It’s a great show. It’s a great show.”

While the new season recently started, he still managed to make it to episode three before facing elimination. Grandmaster Flash performed Blondie’s “Rapture” during his time on the zany competition series.

“I sung horribly, but I sang it the best way I can and sitting down with the musicians and the vocal coaches in doing the best I can do with it,” he told Variety about how he felt during the performance. “But I had to do it with this 15 pound [costume] on me and do it in a cool way. I’m trying not to laugh but it was so stupid, but it was so fun.”

As the story goes, “Rapture” was written for him after Debbie Harry attended one of his shows with Fab Five Freddy.

Teyana Taylor, AKA ‘Firefly,’ Wins Season 7 Of ‘The Masked Singer’

The Masked Singer, by design, is full of surprises, and naturally, that was true of yesterday’s season finale, too. The episode was a hot contest between the Prince, Firefly, and Ringmaster characters, with Firefly ultimately emerging as the victor. Sure enough, when Firefly was unmasked, it turned out to be Teyana Taylor.

In the finale’s opening round, Taylor covered Usher’s “Bad Girl” before singing Robin Thicke’s “Lost Without You” in the final round, a performance that led to her being crowned the champion.

Taylor didn’t just steamroll over a couple non-singers to claim the title, either. The runner-up was Hayley Orrantia (as Ringmaster), who’s best known for her role as Erica Goldberg on The Goldbergs, but was also a contestant on the first season of The X Factor and released her debut EP, The Way Out, in 2019. Third was Cheyenne Jackson (as Prince), an actor (you may know him from 30 Rock, Glee, or American Horror Story) and Broadway veteran who has multiple albums, including some Broadway cast recordings, to his name.

As for Taylor’s resume, she’s super accomplished. Her third and latest album, 2020’s The Album, was her first to crack that top 10 on the Billboard 200 chart, peaking at No. 8. Her 2018 single “Gonna Love Me” was also a success, peaking at No. 10 on the Hot 100 and earning Platinum certification from the RIAA.

Check out Taylor’s performances from the season finale below. She also gave an interview following the big reveal, so find that below, too.

Rudy Giuliani Improbably Popped Up On ‘The Masked Singer,’ Causing Judges Ken Jeong And Robin Thicke To Storm Off In Protest

Warning: This post contains spoilers for Wednesday night’s episode of The Masked Singer.

If you ever find yourself working directly for a disgraced leader who’s been accused of corruption and fascism and are worried about your future, fret not! You can always find a second life on some trash game show. Sean Spicer, who bullied and lied to journalists as Donald Trump’s first White House press secretary, improbably wound up on Dancing with the Stars. Sarah Palin, recently seen jeopardizing the health of New Yorkers by dining out after testing positive for COVID, was among the unmasked (in more ways than one) on The Masked Singer.

Speaking of, as per Deadline, on Wednesday’s episode of the singing-themed reality show, the big reveal was so shocking it reportedly prompted two of the judges to storm off in protest. Who could be that polarizing? Why, it’s Trump’s cash-strapped, legally doomed, accident-prone personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani.

When one of the masked singers was revealed to be one of the key players in Trump’s failed attempts to overturn democracy, judges Ken Jeong and Robin Thicke furiously fled the scene. The other two judges, Nicole Scherzinger and Jenny McCarthy, who was anti-vaxx before everyone else, remained and engaged in some banter with the guy responsible for such classics as “Four Seasons Total Landscaping” and “Mystery Black Goo Pouring Down Head.” Jeong and Thicke eventually returned.

In any case, it’s probably a bit too early to be normalizing alleged crooks who have yet to have been punished. But then, Rudy probably needs the dough.
