Clippers New Arena Vandalized By Teenagers

Police are searching for suspects after videos of teenagers vandalizing the unfinished Intuit Dome in LA were posted to TikTok. The perpetrators climbed on scaffolding and discharged fire extinguishers in the collection of clips posted online. After gaining entry via a construction ladder, the teens took a few shots on the unfinished court. The Intuit Dome is due to open in time for the next NBA season and will give the Clippers a new permanent home to go along with their recent branding redesign.

Per Inglewood Mayor James Butts Jr, the perpetrators have already been identified. “It will be very clear to these young men — and to people who are TikTok followers — that you have a moment of TikTok greatness followed by a little bit of misery. And so we don’t play around with these things,” Butts warned.

Kawhi Leonard Signs Huge Extension With LA Clippers

Meanwhile, Kawhi Leonard recently signed a three-year contract extension with the Los Angeles Clippers reportedly worth $157M. The terms were not disclosed by the Clippers but later reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. The deal does not contain a player option. Furthermore, the team is reportedly working on an extension for Paul George, Leonard’s All-Star tandem partner. Both players were eligible for a maximum extension of four years and $223M. The Clippers move into the Intuit Dome, next season. It’s clear they want their cornerstones with them to begin that new era.

The Clippers are 38-20 on the season. However, they have hit a rough patch and have lost three of their last five. With Leonard and George both healthy and productive, the team has blossomed into a true contender. Both players are averaging over 23 points a game. Meanwhile, the early-season trade for James Harden gave the team a proven ball distributor. With their big three finally assembled, the Clippers currently hold the 4th seed in the Western Conference.

Xavier Worthy Breaks NFL Combine 40-Yard Dash Record

Texas wide receiver Xavier Worthy set a new record for the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, clocking in at 4.21 seconds with the final run of Saturday’s wide receiver and quarterback workouts. Worthy, who was expected to be the fastest man at the combine, ran a 4.24 in his first attempt. However, he was able to make John Ross III’s 2017 record by 0.01 seconds on his second attempt.

“I just broke the record. It still doesn’t feel real. Man, just a blessing to be able to do this in front of all these fans, with all these peers I’m with,” Worthy said. Worthy started 39 games in three years at Texas and left the school fourth in career receiving yards. Draft analysts rank him a low top-ten at his position and project him to be a late first-round or early second-round pick next month.

Tom Brady Runs Faster 40-Yard Dash Than His Combine Time

However, Worthy is not the only person improving their 40-time. In a recent shoot with his NoBull company, 46-year-old Tom Brady ran the 40-yard dash. However, when overlaid with footage from his 2000 NFL Combine outing, it turns out Brady was faster at 46 than he was at 22. Brady’s time was clocked at 5.12 and 5.18, both faster than his 5.28 time in 2000. Brady’s business partner joked that if he had run that time in 2000, he would have gone much earlier than the sixth round.

However, Brady isn’t the only person running exceptional 40-yard times. Footage emerged appearing to back up Katt Williams’ claim on Club Shay Shay suggesting that he can run a sub-4.50 40-yard dash. In the video, Williams is seen running the 40-yard dash in 4.47. That’s the same time that first-round pick Sauce Gardner ran in 2022. It appears that Williams wasn’t kidding about keeping himself in good shape. This was later used by Williams’ fans, who mocked Kevin Hart for injuring himself running the 40-yard dash.

Jake Paul Calls Out Canelo Alvarez After Latest Boxing win

Jake Paul took aim at Canelo Alvarez after beating Ryan Bourland with a first-round TKO in Puerto Rico. “Hey, Canelo, stop ducking. I know you want it. I’m repping Puerto Rico; you’re repping Mexico. So, it’s Puerto Rico versus Mexico,” Paul said. It’s not the first time that Paul (9-1) has called out Alvarez (60-2-2). However, Canelo told the YouTuber-turned-boxer to “stay in his lane” the last time Paul made such a challenge.

However, Paul’s MVP event in his adopted island home was not all good news. MVP was forced to scrap Amanda Serrano’s Puerto Rican homecoming just minutes before the fight was meant to begin. Serrano was deemed unfit to fight due to an eye injury sustained on Friday. “She wanted to fight, but the doctor didn’t allow her to fight, because of the problem in the left eye. I assume the fight will be rescheduled and we will sanction the fight,” WBO President Paco Valcarcel said. MVP offered full refunds and promised to pay out Serrano’s opponent’s purse.

Jake Paul Signs Boxer After Viral Confrontation

Elsewhere, Paul signed Indian boxer Neeraj Goyat to his MVP label after their viral confrontation earlier this week. The two men had to be separated after Goyat pulled up on Paul in Puerto Rico, with footage of the incident quickly spreading online. Goyat is has repeatedly held the WBC Asia title and has been calling out Paul online for months. It’s now clear that the confrontation was staged to precede Goyat signing with MVP.

Is Bronny James Declaring For The NBA Draft? Rich Paul Gives Update On USC Freshman’s Thinking

Rich Paul has stated that Bronny James’ draft decision will be based on “team interest” and not projected draft position. “I don’t value a young player getting into the lottery as much as I do getting him on the right team in the right developmental situation,” Paul told ESPN. Furthermore, Paul noted that LeBron James’ long-stated desire to play with his son will not factor into the decision. However, Paul did note that LeBron would be “head over heels” if it happened “organically”. This comment also appeared to put to bed the idea that LeBron would leave the Lakers to play with Bronny.

It has been a less-than-ideal season for Bronny James. Entering college as a top-15 recruit, the start of his season was derailed by a cardiac arrest suffered last July. While that congenital defect has reportedly been addressed, Bronny will still have to get clearance from the NBA’s Fitness to Play panel. Additionally, Bronny has simply not played like an NBA prospect. He has averaged 5/2.8/2.4 a game for a Trojans team that has fallen well short of expectations. Projected to finish second in the Pac-12, USC is second-last in the division with two games left on the schedule.

Of course, Bronny’s NBA fit remains a heated point of discussion. Stephen Jackson took offense to Austin Rivers’ rationale behind why LeBron and Bronny shouldn’t play on the same team if Bronny makes the move to the NBA. “Difference is you trash, Bronny not. You can’t compare to him scrub. And your daddy not LeBron. Shut up,” Jackson wrote in the comments on an Instagram post reporting Rivers’ original comments. Rivers later replied to the former NBA player. “All smiles…I didn’t even have to fight my own battles with ignorance, yall corrected it for me!! Thank you for not siding with delusion. Have a blessed day,” Rivers wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

However, Jackson’s reaction was bizarre given that Rivers had been arguing that Bronny doesn’t need the added obstacle of playing in his father’s shadow. “I don’t want to see Bronny play with [LeBron]… Him getting drafted & playing with his dad, I don’t want that negativity to come his way. He doesn’t deserve it… [He needs to] play somewhere where he can niche out his own identity,” Rivers told NBA Today.

LeBron James surpassed 40,000 career points during the Los Angeles Lakers’ game against the Denver Nuggets on Saturday night. He is the first player in NBA history to accomplish the feat. He scored the historic point with a driving layup at the 10:39 mark of the second quarter. He entered the game needing nine points.

James previously became the all-time leading scorer in NBA history by scoring his 38,388th point on February 7, 2023. He passed the former highest-scoring player of all time, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, to do so.

Christian Wood Granted Restraining Order Against Mother Of His Child

Lakers backup Christian Wood has been granted a temporary restraining order again Yasmine Lopez, the mother of his son. Wood claims that Lopez has consistently harassed him since they broke up in December 2022. The incident that seemingly sealed the restraining order was Lopez and friends allegedly breaking into Wood’s property and vandalizing his car. Wood claimed that he believes Lopez, who must stay 100 feet away from him, has been using his public work schedule to track and harass him.

Furthermore, Wood made reference to Baddies East star Tee Kissen. After Kissen accused Wood of threatening to assault her, Wood has claimed that Kissen lied to “gain favor in the media”. Kissen was caring for Wood’s son after Lopez was arrested. However, Kissen claimed that Lopez was simply having a night out. Wood’s restraining order expires on March 20.

However, fans are still trying to wade through the back-and-forth allegations between Kissen and Wood that emerged last week. Wood’s sister hit back at the allegations that Wood threatened to beat Baddies East star Tee Kissen with a shovel while attempting to get his child from Kissen’s residence. According to her, Wood was attempting to collect his child. He was doing so as the child’s mother, Kissen’s friend, had been arrested for vandalism. Wood’s sister claimed that his intention was to avoid the child getting caught up in any sort of CPS dispute.

However, Kissen immediately called cap on the claim in the comments of The Neighborhood Talk post reporting on Wood’s sister’s response. “No b-tch. I walked out my front door and went to Yasmine’s house with the baby so that when she got out of jail she could come straight home to her son. Because your brother threatened to take the baby from her and to never gave him back. When the police was at my house i wasn’t there. But when they contacted me i showed them on FaceTime that the baby was safe with Yasmine the primary parent. While he went up stairs to do god knows what i left out Yasmine’s house to get in the car. You harassed me on the sidewalk saying you know where i live and you wanted to beat me up. I got your threats on camera too babe ,” Kissen said.

Johnny Manziel has announced he will boycott the annual Heisman Awards in support of Reggie Bush. “After careful thought and consideration I will be humbly removing myself from the Heisman trophy ceremony until @ReggieBush gets his trophy back. Bush lost his 2005 Heisman trophy in 2010 after the NCAA concluded that he had received impermissible benefits to attend USC. However, Bush has argued that he should be welcomed back into the fold of the NCAA. This is due to the age of NIL and other benefits that athletes can now receive. Last year, Reggie Bush filed a defamation lawsuit against the NCAA. “The lawsuit is based on the NCAA maliciously attacking his character through a completely false and highly offensive statement that was widely reported in the media and substantially and irreparably damaged his reputation,” according to law firm McCathern, PLLC. The statement in question was provided to media outlets in July 2021. It came when the NCAA announced their new NIL policy. Specifically, it was the answer to enquiries about whether the policy would mean the reinstatement of Bush’s expunged records.

“Although college athletes can now receive benefits from their names, images and likenesses through activities like endorsements and appearances, NCAA rules still do not permit pay-for-play type arrangements,” the statement said. “The NCAA infractions process exists to promote fairness in college sports. The rules that govern fair play are voted on, agreed to and expected to be upheld by all NCAA member schools.” Bush, the 2005 Heisman winner, had his collegiate record expunged in 2010. It was a result of an investigation that found he had accepted “impermissible benefits” during his time at USC.

Furthermore, O’Neal said that the choice to sign with the Gators was hers alone. “My family was just there to support me. I was pressuring myself to make a decision, but I learned I had to be patient. And I did make this decision on my own,” she said. The Gators have struggled this season, going 14-13 with a 5-10 record in the SEC. They close out their regular season against Auburn on Sunday. Florida has not reached the NCAA tournament since 2022.
