Stephen A. Smith has said that it’s Anthony Edwards’ “moment” after his Timberwolves’ teammate Karl-Anthony Towns was shut down for the season. Edwards, the first-overall pick in 2020, is averaging 26.4/5.2/5.1 this season. If the Wolves are to continue their historic season, Edwards is going to need to carry the load down the stretch. The Timberwolves are 44-19 and first in the Western Conference.

However, Edwards is already someone that Towns himself thinks is destined for greatness. “It brings a smile to all of our faces. He’s one of the top players in the NBA right now. And when you mix that in with his charisma and the personality he has, that’s a huge boost,” Towns explained on First Take. Edwards is coming off the second All-Star nod of his career and is only going to get better as he continues to improve. Towns also called Edwards “the next face of the NBA“.

Katt Williams Runs Lightning-Fast 40-Yard Dash At NFL Pro Day Event

Katt Williams continues to flex his physical fitness. The comedian ran a 4.97 40-yard event at an NFL pro day event. The run, and time, was captured by first-round draft prospect Jared Verse from Florida State.

However, this is not the first time that Williams have run a wild 40-yard dash. In January, Footage emerged appearing to back up Williams’ claim on Club Shay Shay suggesting that he can run a sub-4.50 40-yard dash. In the video, Williams is seen running the 40-yard dash in 4.47. That’s the same time that first-round pick Sauce Gardner ran in 2022. It appears that Williams wasn’t kidding about keeping himself in good shape. However, fans used the video to further the beef between Williams and Kevin Hart. Hart injured himself in August 2023 while trying to beat a former NFL player in a foot race.

Shannon Sharpe Claims Katt Williams Interview Made Him More Money Than Any Year Of His NFL Career

Meanwhile, Shannon Sharpe has claimed that he made more money from his Katt Williams interview than any single year of his NFL career. The Club Shay Shay interview made at least $113,000 from YouTube AdSense and that’s before adding in additional exposure, sponsorships, and onward revenue. The most that Sharpe made in a single season in the NFL was in 2000 when he made $5M. Despite Sharpe’s Hall of Famer career, both his sixth-round draft pick status and inflation must be taken into account.

Elsewhere, Sharpe defended himself against criticism stemming from his now-viral interview with Williams. “I never said I was a journalist. I am not an interviewer. What I always say at the start of my show is that the person who is coming on the show is coming over for a conversation and a drink. I’m a conversationalist,” Sharpe explained to his Nightcap co-host Chad Johnson. A number of gossip outlets are alleging that Draya Michele was once the babysitter of Breah Hicks, the ex-girlfriend of NBA player Jalen Green. It is unclear what the original source of this information is, nor how accurate it is. Images of Hicks and Michele together appear on Hicks’ social media. The two appeared to be close on the modeling circuit. However, there is little evidence to back up the claim that Michele was her babysitter. Despite this, the claims are being used to further demonize Michele after she confirmed that she was pregnant with Green’s baby.

Michele has been under fire ever since people began to suspect she was pregnant. The hate towards the 39-year-old reality star dates back as far as January when the rumors first emerged. Commenters online have called Michele, who found fame on Basketball Wives, a “predator” given the 18-year age gap between her and the 21-year-old Green.

The “predator” claims were taken up by public figures such as Joe Budden. “We’ve seen so many NBA stars lose their career, and everything, because of women like this,” Budden said. He also went after co-host MeLyssa Ford, who didn’t appear to have an issue with the relationship. “We don’t have twenty minutes to explain something to you that is right there in front of you,” Budden said dismissively.

Missouri Governor Refuses To Address Commuting Prison Sentence Of Andy Reid’s Son

Missouri Governor Mike Parson has refused to provide specifics on why he commuting the prison sentence of Andy Reid’s son, Britt. “No request, official or otherwise, was made on behalf of Mr. Reid for this commutation,” was the only comment given to ESPN from Parson’s office. Reid had served 16 months of a three-year prison sentence at the time of his commutation. Reid struck two parked cars outside Arrowhead Stadium in February 2021 while going 20mph over the speed limit. The crash injured six people, including putting a five-year-old girl in an 11-day coma.

Reid will spend the rest of his sentence under house arrest. However, the decision has raised questions about Parson’s impartiality. The governor is a self-described “avid” fan of the Chiefs and spoke at the team’s recent Super Bowl Parade in Kansas City. Parson became Governor in 2018 upon the resignation of his predecessor. He was re-elected in 2020. However, Parson is term-limited and cannot seek re-election again this year. The open race is expected to be between Missouri Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft and Minority Leader of the Missouri House of Representatives Crystal Quade.

Andy Reid hasn’t said much about his son since the 2021 incident. However, something that Reid is much more keen to talk about is Taylor Swift. Swift “won over” the Chiefs’ O-Line with homemade Pop-Tarts, Reid claimed at the NFL Combine. “She likes to cook, so she made the offensive linemen these homemade pop tarts. She didn’t give me one, and the offensive linemen definitely didn’t give me one,” Reid told Mike Florio and Chris Simms. Swift is an avid baker, dating as far back as a viral Tumblr cookie recipe a decade ago.

Back at the Combine, Reid also spoke on his relationship with Swift, whom he first met during his tenure with the Eagles. “I knew her dad and her mom — good, solid people. The Buckeyes looked nothing like the two-loss team that had dominated the Big Ten all year as the lost by 22 to the Terrapins. Junior Shyanne Sellers had a game-high 25 points for Maryland.

Furthermore, a deep run by Iowa, who have won back-to-back conference tournaments, should secure the Hawkeyes a No. 1 seed for March Madness. However, they need to avoid being upset themselves. Their journey to the conference final sees them take on Penn State and the winner of Michigan/Indiana. If they reach the final, they will face Maryland, Nebraska, or Michigan State.

The speculation around Wilson’s future was put to rest earlier this week. On Monday, the Broncos informed the quarterback they would be releasing him. This ends an underwhelming two seasons in which the team won 13 games and gave up premium draft picks to acquire Wilson. Brady was revealed to have multiple phones, including ones that were mysteriously shredded when investigators asked for them.
