Playboi Carti Shouts Out The Weeknd For Promoting His Rollout: “U Got Family”

Playboi Carti’s album rollout is fully underway, and that means he’s more online, grateful, and excited than ever. Moreover, he’s shared a lot of people shouting him out on social media, whether it be fellow artists, fans, industry folks, and the like. The latest to promote the “Pull Up” rapper’s new material is The Weeknd, who shared Carti’s new song and music video on his Instagram Story. Whatever I AM MUSIC ends up being (most likely an album), the culture is incredibly excited for it. He also shared reactions and promotions from Travis Scott, Ken Carson, NAV, and more, and even shared an unanswered DM to Frank Ocean about when he’s going to drop.

“You don’t need promotion when u got family 00X0,” Playboi Carti wrote when reposting Abel Tesfaye’s shout-out of this new song. Furthermore, this is a new snippet entirely, and is not the one that he shared just hours before that is a bit more aggressive. Rather, this track is a more woozy and dark offering from the Atlanta rage pioneer, with a delivery more akin to his more measured moments on Whole Lotta Red, which is most of what defined Die Lit. As such, we already have various things pointing us in the direction of various past aesthetics of his that he will probably develop even further.

Playboi Carti & The Weeknd Shout Each Other Out As “Family”

With this frenetic and unexpectedly consistent online activity in mind, we’re sure that Playboi Carti will have more for us as the wait for his next album draws on. So far, it’s proved to be a successful experiment, especially paired with other unbelievable musical miracles like a Frank Ocean snippet that came out around the same time. Is it possible that these two notoriously offline, mystique-shrouded, and tease-heavy artists coordinated to address their absence at the same time? It’s possible, but that also might just be the head-canon talking, even though that picture of their DMs surely made many people’s hearts skip a beat.

Regardless, what do you think of this new song and how fellow music superstars have promoted it? Are you looking forward to this new January release or was the wait too long for you to keep any hype? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section down below. Also, stay posted on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Playboi Carti and The Weeknd.

Stephen Curry Reacts To Shoutout On Sexyy Red’s “SkeeYee”

Stephen Curry says he enjoyed hearing his shoutout on Sexyy Red’s Hood Hottest Princess single, “SkeeYee.” On the song, Sexyy raps: “My sister in the backseat with a .30/ N****s tryna shoot they shot, Stephen Curry.” The Golden State Warriors star discussed the track during an upcoming interview with VIBE.

“When Sexxy Red did it, I just started laughing,” he admitted to the outlet. “I don’t know. I had never seen her at a basketball game.” He continued: “One of my teammates were asking me the question, ‘How many times do you think your name’s been mentioned in the song?’ And I was like, ‘I don’t know, but I’m pretty sure there’s probably a website or something that could probably count it for you.’ So he went and looked it up and it was like 106 I think at the time, which was wild to me.”

Steph Curry During The 2022 NBA Finals

“Then I started thinking about all the ones that I could remember and it’s either a nickname, like Drake did with ‘Chef Curry with the Pot,’ or I think Future dropped one in the song ‘Mad Max.’ And it’s funny to see how they rhyme it because either they do a nickname, the short name, they use number 30 or they just go with the whole full name and just try to write something,” Curry added. “Future did the whole full name Stephen Curry, which is hilarious because he is trying to rhyme it and flow with it. I don’t know, unfortunately, ‘somebody’s shooting something or sharp shooting‘ or whatever the case is… I almost kind of expect it now. They’re going to reference me at some point.”

Blueface Thanks Saucy Santana For Boosting Jaidyn Alexis’ Song “Barbie”

Blueface is bringing his MILF Music signee- and mother of his child- Jaidyn Alexis to all the heights that he can. Of course, given all their antics and the scandals they created or were in, focusing on just the music is difficult. That being said, the California rapper recently thanked a fellow MC for showing Alexis some support, and putting people onto a banger without regarding the headlines. Moreover, Saucy Santana recently posted an Instagram Story that showed him turning up to her new song “Barbie” (which released on October 2) during his concert in the video clip. Via Twitter, the “BDD” MC shouted Santana out for making the track connect with a lot of new listeners and fans.

“Fastest growing artist I’ve ever seen,” Blueface began a series of tweets on Sunday (October 15) about Jaidyn Alexis and her brand new single. “I’m impressed my dam self 4 months 4 songs. Blueface Appreciates Saucy Santana’s Promo

Last week, Blueface responded to claims that he wrote “Barbie” for Jaidyn Alexis on social media. “Come one, cuh. Y’all really think I wrote that?” he expressed. “I’m a whole [displaying gang sings] out here, cuh. You really think I wrote that? Dead homies? That’s disrespectful, cuh. So, y’all calling a n***a zesty, cuh That’s what y’all saying? Dead homies? School Yard Crip? That n***a that just [fakes pulling out gun, shooting gun, and punching]? The n***a that do all the issues? Y’all calling me zesty, cuh? So, if I wrote them lyrics, that mean I’m zesty?”

Meanwhile, we’ll see whether there are any other big singles to come from any of these artists before 2023 wraps up. It’s wild to look back on everything that these individuals were involved in drama-wise over the past twelve months. Come December, it might be an even wilder retrospective. On that note, stick around on HNHH for the latest on Blueface, Jaidyn Alexis, and Saucy Santana.

Boosie Badazz Giddy Over Fat Joe’s BET Hip Hop Awards Praise

Fat Joe hosted the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards in Atlanta earlier this week for the second consecutive year. At one point during the night, the New York icon was sure to give a nod to Boosie Badazz, who was also in attendance. From the looks of things, the shoutout meant a lot to Boosie, who’s had quite the year. The Louisiana native went through legal troubles, public family feuds, beef with other artists, and more.

Boosie took to social media to share his enthusiastic response to the shoutout, explaining how he’d be reciprocating the love throughout the evening. “Fat Joe just gave me a shout out! Fat Joe know what I be going through,” Boosie explains in a clip. “Real n***as do real things. I’m giving Fat Joe all the love tonight! Fat Joe just gave me a shout out!”

Boosie Badazz Reacts To Fat Joe’s Shout Out

Elsewhere in the night, Boosie showed off his ankle monitor on the carpet, posing for photos and reminding everyone that he’s “still outside.” He also went live on Instagram from the crowd, getting rowdy and urging Fat Joe to “put [him] on camera.” It’s unclear whether or not he actually got any air time, but fans can find out when the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards broadcasts on October 10 on BET.

Fat Joe isn’t the only person Boosie has shown love to as of late. He also recently gave Tasha K her flowers for keeping it real, despite her hot take on his pleas to Kamala Harris. He reached out to the Vice President in hopes to help out with gun reform, which she claims was just his attempt to get pardoned for his gun charge. “Man, this lady don’t spare nobody, man,” he told viewers. “It’s comedy bro.” What do you think of Fat Joe giving Boosie Badazz a shoutout at the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards? Drake Shouts Out Yeat’s Name During Performance Of “Sticky” On Tour

Drake is always one to keep his finger on the pulse of contemporary hip-hop culture, whether people see it as exploitative or generous. Still, he certainly got the attention of the newest generation of rap fans with his special guest in Seattle. Moreover, during that city’s tour stops for his “It’s All A Blur” tour with 21 S*vage, the 6 God brought out Yeat, much to fans’ delight. Even thought it was a relatively simple link-up, with the rage mastermind just popping out from the crowd, it’s still quite the surreal moment. After all, the Canadian superstar has propelled many careers to stardom before, although we’re certain that Yeat doesn’t need the help.

Furthermore, Drake still decided to dedicate as much stage time as he reasonably could to this moment. During his performance of his Honestly, Nevermind cut “Sticky,” he replaced one of the names in his verse with the Oregon MC’s. “Yeat got me on the wave,” the OVO mogul proclaimed to the crowd, and they cheered in response. With all this hype in mind, it’s no wonder that it’s reignited past rumors that they will one day release some material together.

Drake Gives Yeat A Mid-Concert Shoutout During “Sticky”

What’s more is that we should be getting something big from both artists soon, or at least that’s what fans hope. On one hand, you have Drake’s upcoming project For All The Dogs, which will surely rank among the most commercially successful and widely discussed albums of the year. On the other, Yeat recently dropped a new single, “bigger then everything,” which sees him reflecting on his meteoric rise in more somber fashion. He already dropped a full-length this year, but there’s no question that there’s always hype for him to keep delivering.

Meanwhile, fans will have to wait and see if this ends up panning out, and to see in what way it impacts either artist. As much as the “My wrist” star is getting big cosigns all over the game, he’s also in a lane entirely of his own. With that in mind, it might feel like a “worlds collide” moment rather than the career-propelling team-up that Drizzy fans might expect. Regardless, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on Drake and Yeat.
