Ed Reed Exposes Shannon Sharpe DMs On Instagram

Over the past week or so, Ed Reed has been trying to expose the conditions at Bethune-Cookman. Bethune-Cookman is an HBCU that had offered a head coaching job to Reed. The former Ravens legend was working overtime at the school, and he was showcasing just how bad the conditions were.

Subsequently, Reed was told he would not be the head coach in the end. With Reed making very public Instagram live sessions about the school, it became clear that the school didn’t want to continue its relationship.

This past week, Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless discussed this news on Undisputed. Overall, Sharpe was sad about the situation. However, he did note that he would have preferred if Reed hadn’t gone so public against the school.

Ed Reed Responds

In an Instagram post last night, Reed posted some DMs between he and Shannon Sharpe. As you can see, Sharpe reached out to Reed noting that he supports him. Additionally, he apologized for his comments on Undisputed. Reed did not accept the apology and said “you said a lot of wrong about me playa.” Consequently, Sharpe was a bit annoyed and finished things off by saying “Ed, I voiced an opinion. It’s not that deep. Wish you all the best, but I’m done with this.”

Since that time, Reed has continued to post on social media, much to the chagrin of his fans. For the most part, people believe he is simply doing too much. The public callouts aren’t getting anyone anywhere, and some want him to get off social media for a bit. However, it seems as though Reed is going to continue speaking out on the funding that HBCUs receive.

This is an ongoing story, and we’re sure we will hear more from Reed soon. That said, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the sports world.

T.I. Says He Refused To Sign 21 Savage For $1 Million Because They Couldn’t Be Friends If He Did

Trap rap godfather T.I. has been instrumental in the careers of many of the modern generation of trap rappers like 21 Savage and Young Thug, but he’s rarely actually signed any of them to his label, Grand Hustle Records. In a new interview with ESPN’s Shannon Sharpe, he explained why.

The conversation opens with Sharpe asking T.I. what a so-called “360 record deal” is. After T.I. explains it (very eloquently too, I might add), Shannon’s shocked to learn that the deals give labels access to “ancillary” income, such as sponsorships.

“Most artists are only looking for what they’re getting right then,” Tip says. He breaks it down as an exchange of ideas (from the artists) for access (from the labels), which can lead to artists giving away too much for too little.

He says that he learned the business side of the music business early on, and now finds it “honorable” to pass on what he’s learned. “21 Savage, [Young] Thug,” he names as examples. “A lot of them come up to me, ‘Aye man, give me a million, Tip. I don’t care what you do, just give me a million and let me handle it from there.’ And I’m like, ‘Nah, I ain’t gonna do that.’”

And while that might sound unhelpful to some new artists, he explains, “‘If I give you a million, I gotta take back something that’s gonna be worth way more, and we ain’t gon’ be able to be friends from there.’ I always tell ’em, man, ‘Don’t worry about the money up front ’cause it’s gon’ come.’ I remember telling that to Slime, I remember telling that to 21. And even Savage, every time he sees me now, he’ll hit me and say, ‘Ay, it came.’ And that put a smile on my face because I just know how impactful every generation has the opportunity to be even more than the last.”

That game has apparently paid off for his young proteges: 21 Savage owns his masters rights, which he says allows him to make more from albums sales than touring (which is fortunate, considering his immigration case prevents him from maximizing his revenue from touring — which is usually where most artists make most of their money).

Young Thug, who signed to Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records before securing distribution for his own YSL Records under 300 Entertainment, also turned out to be one of the more successful rappers from Atlanta. However, YSL is now being accused of also being a criminal enterprise by Georgia authorities, with the RICO trial scheduled to begin in the coming weeks.

T.I. Hits Shannon Sharpe With Some Advice

At this point, everyone is probably aware of what happened with Shannon Sharpe at the Lakers game on Friday night. Sharpe and members of the Memphis Grizzlies got into a verbal altercation that also involved Tee Morant. Subsequently, cooler heads prevailed and the show went on.

Consequently, Sharpe felt some embarrassment over the situation and apologized on Undisputed. Sharpe made it crystal clear that he never should have escalated what was happening on the floor. Overall, he is using it as a learning experience to better himself in the future.

T.I. x Shannon Sharpe

Over the weekend, Sharpe sat down with T.I. for a conversation on Club Shay Shay. At the time, the Grizzlies game was on everyone’s mind. As a result, T.I. felt like it was as good a time as ever to bring it up. Sharpe was certainly receptive to the conversation as the two made jokes.

However, T.I. eventually got serious and offered some solid advice to the NFL legend. “We all fall short, ain’t none of us perfect,” the artist said. “Humans are fallible, our flesh is weak.” He went on to say that no one can lead a perfect life, and that overall, there is nothing to be ashamed over.

It was a very honest conversation that many will appreciate. The full episode is just over an hour long, and the two touch on a plethora of topics. Overall, it is well worth a watch, especially if you are a T.I. fan.

T.I. Explains Why He Didn’t Give Young Thug Or 21 Savage Money During Their Come Up

All money isn’t good money, or so they say, and T.I. explains why that belief rings true in the entertainment industry. We often see artists complaining about record deals they can’t get out of—some even opting to take their labels to court. While visiting Shannon Sharpe on Club Shay Shay, T.I. broke down those controversial 360 deals. He also shared why he didn’t give 21 Savage or Young Thug deals or advances when they were aspiring artists on the rise.

“A 360 means that you have accepted something from the label that has given them the right to accept a percentage of—the call it ancillaries. All of your ancillary business. That means your tour money, that means if you got sponsorship dollars.”

Sharpe was surprised that artists actually agreed to those deals. T.I. replied by suggesting it was a common practice.

“Most times, most artists are only looking for what they’re getting right then,” said the Rap mogul. “Because what we always had was ideas and what the industry has is access. So, we usually exchange our ideas for their access.”

T.I. recalled being young and challenged by a relative to learn all he could about the industry before pursuing a Rap career. When he got older, T.I. was ahead of his peers because he knew what to look for.

He shared that information with up-and-comers he was introduced to, like 21 Savage and Young Thug.

“I find it honorable to be able to tell new artists, when they come up to me—you know. 21 Savage, [Young] Thug, a lot of ’em come up to me, ‘Ay man, just give me a million, Tip. Just give me a million. I don’t care what you do. Just give me a million and let me handle it from there.’”

T.I. said he refused to do that.

“Because if I give you a million, I gotta take back some that’s gon’ be way more and we ain’t gon’ be able to be friends no more. And I always tell them, don’t worry about the money up front ’cause it gon’ come. I remember telling that to Slime, I remember telling that to 21. And even Savage, anytime he see me now, ‘Hey, it came.’”

“That put a smile on my face because I just know how impactful every generation has the opportunity to be. even more than the last.”

WATCH: Shannon Sharpe Gives On Air Apology For Courtside Altercation At Lakers Game

Shannon Sharpe addressed his courtside altercation at the Lakers/Grizzlies game on the most recent episode of Undisputed.

“I want to apologize for my behavior,” Sharpe said. “For the last six and a half years, I’ve preached accountability and responsibility. And I take full responsibility for what transpired. It does not matter what Dillon Brooks said or how many times he said it.”

The hall of fame tight end added: “Me being the responsible person. Me having the platform that I have and having so many people look up to me, I was wrong. I should have lowered the temperature in the arena. Instead, I turned the temperature up, and I let it get out of hand.”

He then apologized to Lakers owner Jeanie Buss, to the Lakers organization, and to the fans for “any harm or unwanted attention” he brought. He even apologized to Dillon Brooks and Ja Morant.

For those who might’ve missed it, Shannon Sharpe got into it with what seemed like the whole Memphis Grizzlies team on their Friday night game against the Lakers. Sharpe apparently told Dillon Brooks he was too small to guard LeBron, to which Brooks responded “f**k you.” Sharpe responded, and that’s when the whole team got involved.

Shannon Sharpe Apologizes For Grizzlies Scuffle: Watch

If you watched basketball over the weekend, you probably already know about Shannon Sharpe and his run-in with the Grizzlies. Sharpe is a huge Lakers fan and he showed his support Friday night as the team took on the Grizz. Shannon was courtside at Crypto.com Arena, and subsequently, things got out of hand.

In the video down below, Sharpe could be seen getting into it with Dillon Brooks. Overall, it escalated quickly as players like Steven Adams and Ja Morant came over. Furthermore, Tee Morant, Ja’s father, also joined the scrum. In the end, Tee and Shannon made up, while Dillon Brooks continued to shade Sharpe to the media.

Shannon Sharpe Speaks

Following this altercation, fans were waiting to see what would happen on Undisputed. Many expected Skip Bayless to roast Sharpe for his actions. However, Sharpe took a much more apologetic tone. He spoke for three minutes about the subject and looked at the camera while doing so. Overall, he seemed to be disappointed in himself.

“I want to apologize,” Sharpe said. “For the last six and a half years I have preached responsibility and accountability and I take full responsibility for what transpired. It does not matter what Dillon Brooks said or how many times he said it. Me having the platform that I have and having so many people look up to me, I was wrong.”

For the most part, fans seemed to be on Sharpe’s side in this whole debacle. After all, the Grizzlies have proven to be a very difficult team to like, especially with the way they talk in the media. Regardless, Sharpe opted to be the bigger person in the situation.

Shannon Sharpe & Ja Morant’s Dad Reconcile After Fight

Shannon Sharpe and Tee Morant, father of Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant, reconciled their differences after a fight. Moreover, they weren’t the only ones involved in a heated argument after the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Grizzlies 122-121 last Friday (January 20). Other recognizable faces in the incident were Steven Adams and Ja Morant himself.

However, the cause of this altercation is still unclear. In clips swirling around social media, it’s hard to make out what everyone is shouting at each other. Even a tense moment can’t drown out the music blasting from the stadium speakers.

Still, another video published shortly after showed Sharpe and Tee Morant embracing. While it’s not certain that the clip was recorded after the fight ended, that seems to be the narrative online. What’s more is that people reacting to the fight initially were putting everything on Shannon. Moreover, his physique is about as strong as his words. Recently, he made some sobering observations about Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott. People are all for his unfiltered perspectives.

“Shannon stronger than anybody in that building they better leave him alone….Ray Lewis will tell you that!!” one user wrote. Another shared, “I got my money on Shannon. Anybody with a lisp like that at his age will smoke yo boots.” Some commenters even cheekily tied it into his show with Skip Bayless. “‘I’m sorry but you would’ve had no shot against Steven Adams’ – Skip on Monday,” one user commented.

Meanwhile, LeBron James reacted to the whole ordeal hilariously, at least in part. While he made no comments on the situation itself, his description of Unk was quite expressive.

“If ‘I Wish A Muthaf#ck* Would’ was a person! MOOD,” James wrote. “Unk VIBES!”

Moreover, their relationship is as strong as ever. Sharpe brought out the “GOAT James” mask on Undisputed when talking about LeBron’s 48-point-performance against the Houston Rockets just a few days ago.

Still, what do you think of Shannon Sharpe and Tee Morant making up after a rowdy fight? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments down below. Also, as always, come back to HNHH for the latest NBA news.

Druski Reveals Why He Prefers LeBron Over Michael Jordan

Druski is one of the biggest comedians out there right now. His sketches are absolutely hilarious, and he has managed to create a massive following for himself. Subsequently, he has become extremely recognizable, and a ton of stars have tried to work with him.

Moving forward, Druski has the potential to become a massive movie star. Overall, he is beloved and he is showing no signs of slowing down. Recently, he even got to kick it with Shannon Sharpe on the former football legend’s show, Club Shay Shay.

Druski Chooses Sides

During his appearance on the show, he talked about a plethora of topics. However, one of the more interesting ones that came up involved the NBA. As someone who grew up in the LeBron generation, Sharpe felt it was necessary to ask the comedian who he prefers between James and Michael Jordan.

Interestingly enough, Druski picked LeBron James. Although, he did give an interesting reason that goes beyond the basketball court. Essentially, Druski doesn’t like the way MJ seems to “avoid black people.” Furthermore, the comedian noted that black people bought all of MJ’s clothes and shoes, although the Bulls legend rarely reciprocates the love. Meanwhile, LeBron is the opposite way.

This is a criticism that has been levied on Michael Jordan in the past. After all, Jordan was rumored to say “Republicans by sneakers too” which ultimately speaks to where MJ’s head is at most of the time. Either way, Sharpe appreciated Druski’s honesty, but more importantly, he was happy to see LeBron getting some love.

We’re sure the comedian’s answer is going to cause some debate here. Let us know how you felt about what he had to say, in the comments section down below. Additionally, keep it locked to HNHH for the latest news from around the sports world.

Shannon Sharpe Offers Sobering Dak Prescott Prediction

Shannon Sharpe sits across from Skip Bayless every weekday morning. Overall, he and Skip have some great chemistry, even when they appear to be fighting. Sharpe certainly makes the show entertaining, and his anti-Cowboys rhetoric always seems to annoy Bayless.

On Monday night, Sharpe had to watch the Cowboys systematically destroy the Buccaneers. Dak Prescott led his team to a 31-14 victory that Cowboys fans are still talking about. Now, however, the road becomes a lot tougher as they will face the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round.

Shannon Sharpe Hot Take

Today, Sharpe and Bayless got to discuss the Cowboys and their chances heading into Sunday’s game. As you can imagine, Bayless had a positive outlook of how things will go. Although, Sharpe was very quick to set him straight, especially as it pertains to Dak Prescott.

“I’ve seen enough and know who Dak is, he’s a rollercoaster. I don’t expect to see what he did in Tampa on Monday,” Sharpe said. Needless to say, Sharpe doesn’t seem to have much confidence that Dak can lead his team over one of the best defenses in football.

Bayless’ positive outlook included the tweet below, in which he said “The Dak I saw in Tampa suddenly had complete command of that position like I haven’t seen before. I believe he’ll carry the momentum over and play a clean and commanding game.”

Bayless sure does love his Cowboys, and he always seems to be lying to himself about how well they will play. If fans remember, the Cowboys lost to the 49ers last season and that’s when they were favored. Now that they are underdogs, their chances are even worse.
