Charlamagne Tha God Scores Victory Amid Legal Battle With Sexual Assault Accuser

Back in December of 2022, Charlamagne Tha God was hit with a lawsuit from a woman named Jessica Reid, who accused him of sexual assault in 2001. At the time, he was indicted for criminal sexual conduct with a minor as well as contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and accepted a plea deal in 2002. Reid sued the Breakfast Club host and publisher Simon & Schuster over his book Black Privilege. It features his account of the incident and came out in 2017.

Now, Judge Ona T. Wang has sided with Charlamagne and his co-defendant. She granted Simon & Schuster’s motion to dismiss Reid’s defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress claims. “McKelvey’s recounting of the assault and its aftermath is entirely compatible with plaintiff’s account of the assault except for plaintiff’s allegation that she was able to see McKelvey’s face prior to his sexually assaulting her,” she ruled. “In any event, McKelvey’s account, although self-serving in its version of events, does not ‘expose’ [Reid] ‘to hatred, shame, obloquy, contumely, odium, contempt, ridicule, aversion, ostracism, degradation or disgrace.’”

Judge Sides With Charlamagne Tha God And Simon & Schuster

Judge Wang also cited Reid’s reliance on the New York’s Child Victims Act as an issue. “The CVA does not apply to plaintiff’s defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress claims against [Simon & Schuster] because defamation and IIED arising out of the publication of a book do not constitute a sexual offense under New York criminal law,” she explained. “Second, even if the CVA did revive time-barred defamation and IIED claims that arise out of an alleged sexual assault, plaintiff’s claims were not timely.”

Suge Knight Details 2Pac’s Alleged Sexual Assault In Audio, Wack 100 Claims

Wack 100 never shies away from sharing his unfiltered takes, or from making wild claims about others in the industry. The music manager’s recent chat with VladTV was certainly no exception, as during the interview, he accused Suge Knight of making a shocking admission about 2Pac. Allegedly, he said the late icon was sexually assaulted at some point during his prison stay. Wack claims to have the alleged admission captured in an audio recording, though this is unconfirmed.

“That’s a fact,” Wack said of having the alleged audio. “I mean, you know, we have the audio. See that’s the thing, Suge… I tell him, ‘Leave me alone.’ Every time he do some sh*t, I spank him with some sh*t. Last time he said something, I released his pictures on the yard.”

Wack 100 Says He Has An Audio Recording Of Suge Knight’s Alleged Admission

He went on to detail the photos of Knight behind bars, warning the former Death Row boss to stop messing with him. “Every time he play with me, I play back with him,” he explained. “He got one more time to play with me, cuz he done told the world ‘Wack don’t know what he’s talking about.’ But you yourself was talking about when he got sexually assaulted in prison. He know we got it, he knows we have all this sh*t.” Wack claims that Knight’s been more “quiet” than usual as of late. According to him, it’s probably because he’s aware of all of the alleged dirt he has on him, which Wack says he’s ready and willing to pull out whenever necessary.

What do you think of Wack 100 accusing Suge Knight of claiming 2Pac was allegedly sexually assaulted in prison? What about him claiming to have an audio recording of the alleged admission? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Akademiks Sued For Rape & Defamation: What We Know

Content Warning: This article contains details of sexual assault and rape that some might find disturbing.

DJ Akademiks, real name Livingston Allen, faces a brand new lawsuit stemming from an alleged sexual assault that occurred in his home. According to Rolling Stone, Fauziya “Ziya” Abashe sued the media personality on allegations of rape, sexual assault, and defamation. Since then, Ak has denied any wrongdoing with hopes that this will get resolved in court. This is what we know so far.

Allegations Of Rape & Assault

Abashe said she met Allen online in 2021 and entered into a relationship with him. However, on July 16, 2022, when Abashe visited Allen’s house in New Jersey, she alleged encountering a nightmare. Instead of a private rendezvous, she claimed she found herself in the company of two unknown men, who allegedly drugged and assaulted her. Abashe claims to have been raped on Allen’s pool deck while under the influence of drugs and alcohol, and later, in a bedroom by Allen himself. The lawsuit details horrifying accounts of sexual assault, including physical and emotional trauma suffered by Abashe.

Abashe Submits Alleged Evidence

Following the alleged assault, Abashe said she took significant steps to seek justice. She underwent a rape kit examination, which reportedly revealed traces of Allen’s sperm. Photographs of bruises sustained during the incident were taken, further corroborating her claims. Additionally, Abashe engaged in a recorded conversation with Allen, during which he allegedly admitted to having sexual intercourse with her. Subsequently, law enforcement obtained a warrant for surveillance footage and other evidence, including allegations that Allen attempted to destroy potentially incriminating materials.

On the criminal side, he ultimately never faced any charges, even though Abashe did take her allegations to police. While she “chose silence,” she said that she decided to sue Akademiks after the allegations resurfaced at the end of 2023. Around that time, both parties addressed the claims on social media.

Defamation Claims & Social Media Response

In response to the allegations, Allen denied any involvement in the assault, claiming he was asleep at the time. However, in a video addressing the incident, he made statements that Abashe’s lawsuit argues as defamatory, stating during a Dec. 30th, 2023 stream, “She was getting trained by my two mens on my pool deck.” Allen’s remarks, suggesting Abashe willingly participated in an orgy, are contested by the lawsuit, which claims he “defamed” her by “accusing her of voluntarily having an orgy with his friends at his home while maintaining that he never participated at all.” Abashe’s decision to file the lawsuit followed unsuccessful attempts to privately resolve the matter, according to her lawyer, Tyrone Blackburn.

Has Akademiks Responded?

Although his main Instagram account was removed online just a day before the lawsuit arrived, he responded to the lawsuit during a recent livestream. “My only comment should really be: whatever this is should be handled in court. Just know that, according to the law and according to the police and according to all sanctioning, governing authorities, Akademiks is an innocent man who has not ever been charged with anything of the sort that has to do with any deviancy or anything like that. Has never been charged, will never be charged,” he said.

However, he claimed that this civil lawsuit against him is a “shakedown.” He added that he’s not under any sort of criminal investigation, though mentioned that the current attorney for Abashe is actually representing Lil Rod in his lawsuit against Diddy. Ak said Tyrone Blackburn, the attorney for Abashe, is attempting to gain some sort of monetary gain out of him.

“I’m not even hiding and ducking from a situation, or ducking from the narrative that happened,” he said. “I pretty much told everything. And also I told the truth. The police came, they looked, we gave them everything. Pretty much everything is documented, caught on videotape. They got to see it with their own two eyes. Not only did they say, ‘Ak, you good’ — and this is not just word of mouth. This is, ‘You’re officially clear. We could not bring any criminal Charges. You are not criminally liable.’ But also, anybody else in the situation, was also clear.”

Who Is Ziya Abashe?

Fauziya “Ziya” Abashe is the plaintiff in the lawsuit against DJ Akademiks. In response to the suit, she told Rolling Stone, “I’m confident that justice will prevail and the veil will be removed so no other woman will have to endure what I did.”

Abashe boasts over 11,000 followers on Instagram. Her YouTube page, where she vlogs and shares product reviews, also has over 13,000 subscribers. “African girl with insatiable curiosity.  Interested in spirituality, astrology, beauty/health and DIY’s,” her bio reads. Outside of that, there’s little information available about her. However, she seems to be quite active on social media.

Can Diddy Recover From This Scandal?

Sean “Diddy” Combs has faced a wave of disturbing sexual assault allegations in recent months. The infamous lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in November 2023 has shaken the mogul’s legacy. According to Cassie’s lawsuit, Diddy’s abusive and controlling behavior began back in 2005 shortly after they first met and she signed to his label Bad Boy Records. Throughout their relationship, Diddy allegedly carried out various forms of abuse against her. These include rape, battery, sex trafficking, and more heinous activities. Though Diddy settled the suit just one day later, Cassie’s lawsuit triggered an onslaught of allegations against the music mogul.

All Eyes On Diddy

In the weeks following Cassie’s lawsuit, multiple other women have come forward. They have accused Diddy of sexual assault and misconduct. Some of the allegations even date back decades. One woman filed a lawsuit claiming Diddy drugged and raped her in 2003 when she was just 17 years old. The accusations depict an alleged pattern of abusive and predatory behavior. Moreover, there have been newfound suspicions surrounding the life and death of his ex-partner Kim Porter. There was also the case of Diddy’s former security officer, Roger Bonds who revealed he was willing to corroborate not just Cassie’s story, but that of other women.

Diddy has staunchly denied all the allegations, dismissing the accusers as people seeking quick paydays. However, the allegations have already begun damaging his reputation and business relationships. More alleged victims stepped forward sharing their stories. In the same vein, Diddy and his legal team continue to prepare responses to the multiple lawsuits he now faces. The full truth remains murky, but the allegations threaten to topple Diddy’s empire.

The Aftermath: Diddy’s Damages

The most damaging effect of the scandal so far has been the irreversible stain on Diddy’s career. Moreover, the response from the mogul’s partners has been heavy, to say the least. Diddy’s recently launched e-commerce venture Empower Global, a marketplace for Black-owned brands, has especially suffered greatly. Several companies have also distanced themselves from Empower Global. Furthermore, others have completely dropped out as partners in the wake of the allegations. For example, brands like Rebecca Allen directly cited the allegations as expediting their decision to terminate the partnership. Also, luxury brand, House of Takura abruptly pulled out the very day Cassie filed her shocking lawsuit.

In addition to the fallout around Empower Global, Diddy stepped down from his long-held role as chairman of Revolt TV. Revolt stated the move was aimed at allowing the network to remain focused on its core mission. The network claimed it didn’t want to be distracted by the swirling sexual assault allegations against its founder. Diddy had helped launch Revolt back in 2013 and had been a fixture of the network since.

An Irreversible Stain

Despite secretly settling with Cassie just a day after the suit was filed, the claims against Diddy prompted more alleged victims to come forward. Now, with the public aware of the numerous allegations against the music mogul, his reputation is severely damaged. However, this isn’t his first rodeo with a lawsuit. Diddy, whose net worth is estimated at $1 billion, has been slammed with over 48 lawsuits throughout his 40-year career. A majority of these were non-criminal charges and ended with settlement payouts, much like Cassie’s.

It is safe to imagine that Combs’ public image can’t be redeemed due to the overwhelming allegations leveled against him. The climate for sexual assault allegations is much hotter than before. Thanks to the #MeToo movement, many more accusers have found solace in outing their abusers. Moreover, Diddy and his endeavors will now have a hard time penetrating the mainstream. Cancel culture, however controversial it may be, has helped to keep many abusers in the industry behind hypothetical bars. Losing the public’s affection is a great burden to bear, especially in the era of intense social media gratification.

It’s also important to note that the blowout from the scandal did not only affect Combs’ reputation. Many other players in other industries have also been hit with salacious rumors. For example, popular televangelist Bishop T.D Jakes has been caught in the crossfires of the Diddy saga. It was alleged that the revered minister was in attendance at Combs’ homosexual sex parties. Nonetheless, Bishop Jakes has been clear that these rumors are baseless and false. With other external parties attached to the case, it’s unknown who else will be caught in the crossfire.

So Can Diddy Survive?

The short answer is yes. Diddy will continue to enjoy his lavish life for the most part. With a hefty pocket like his, settlements are not outside of his reach at all. However, Diddy has always been a fan of the spotlight. As an entertainer, he’s been active for decades, inspiring many more after him. While there have been rumors of inappropriate behavior for years, this is the first time it’s stuck effectively in the consciousness of the public. As a result, the billionaire mogul is lightyears away from redeeming his reputation. However, if he chooses to remain under the radar moving forward, he will slowly dissipate in the industry. Through this relegation, the A-list power player will force the hands of many to rely on his legacy before this infamous scandal.

Diddy Hit With More Allegations Amid Third Sexual Assault Lawsuit

Diddy has been in the spotlight as of late due to the sexual assault lawsuit that was leveled against him by singer Cassie. Overall, this lawsuit was a huge story as it contained allegations of sexual assault, sex trafficking, and more. Subsequently, the music mogul opted to settle the lawsuit just a day after it went public. This was all very shocking and many were surprised by all of this. However, the mogul maintains his innocence despite the settlement.

Yesterday, it was revealed that Diddy would be getting sued again, this time for an alleged rape that took place in 1991. The anonymous woman was a student at Syracuse and alleges that Diddy once drugged her and then had sex with her. Once again, his legal team denied any wrongdoing. Late last night, a third lawsuit came in, according to Rolling Stone. This lawsuit includes allegations that the mogul and singer Aaron Hall once sexually assaulted two women.

“While at Hall’s apartment, Jane Doe was offered more drinks and was coerced into having sex with Combs,” the lawsuit alleges. “After Combs finished doing his business, Jane Doe laid in bed, shocked and traumatized. As she was in the process of getting dressed, Hall barged into the room, pinned her down and forced Jane Doe to have sex with him.” These are shocking allegations, to say the least. Furthermore, it was alleged that Diddy went to the women’s home and began choking Jane Doe. They say he did this because he was scared his partner at the time would find out about the alleged assault.

Dwight Howard Steps Out For Halloween Amidst Allegations

Dwight Howard remains publicly unconcerned about the sexual assault allegations against him. Howard appeared at a Halloween function this week, dressed as Sho’Nuff from The Last Dragon. “Why they mad cause God chose me ? 🫨,” Howard captioned the image on Instagram. However, the image, especially when reposted by outlets such as The Neighborhood Talk, was widely met with mockery. “I think they hate you because you allegedly sexually assaulted someone,” one person argued. Despite this, many of the comments on Howard’s original post were ones of support for the former NBA star.

Howard has been accused of sexually assaulting a man at his home. Howard has formally denied sexually assaulting model Stephen Harper. However, he did not deny inviting Harper to his home for a threesome, which allegedly involved a cross-dresser named Kitty. Furthermore, Harper alleges that he was forced to perform sexual acts on Howard and that Howard performed non-consensual acts on him after he objected to participating in the account. Howard has been sued by Harper but has not been formally charged with a crime.

Dwight Howard’s Alleged Former Lover Speaks Out

However, despite his nonchalance, more and more people have come forward to corroborate the pattern of behavior that seemingly led to the alleged assault. “He goes to sex parties and preys on younger men, which is why he originally why he threatened, forced, and tried to intimidate me into signing a NDA,” influencer and author Masin Elije wrote on social media. Furthermore, Elije claimed that they had also been harassed by “Kitty” in 2018, the same cross-dresser that Howard used in an attempted threesome with model Stephen Harper.

Meanwhile, back in July, Howard’s ex Royce Reed spoke on her experiences with the former player. “This man is evil. Y’all fall for it every time. Ask him why he’s telling a 12yo he’s gay bcuz he hadn’t “touched anything” or watching porn with them? Better yet, why it took 4.5 years to fire the nanny that molested 2 of his kids. I got time today. He took this little boy from this grandmother that raised him and kept her in court for 2yrs only to give him to his parents while he was overseas. GTFOHWTBS. So while y’all constantly out here pointing fingers at me, understand there’s a reason why!” Reed also claimed that Howard had asked her to be the “matriarch” of his “polyamory quest”, something she refused to do.

Dwight Howard “Preys On Younger Men” According To Alleged Former Lover

An alleged former partner of Dwight Howard has reportedly broken a 2018 NDA to corroborate the claims of sexual assault being made against the basketball player.

Howard has formally denied sexually assaulting model Stephen Harper. Howver, he did not deny inviting Harper to his home for a threesome, which allegedly involved the aforementioned Kitty. Based on the accounts given by Howard and Harper. Furthermore, Harper alleges that he was forced to perform sexual acts on Howard and that Howard performed non-consensual acts on him after he objected to participating in the account. A post shared by The Neighborhood Talk (@theneighborhoodtalk)

Meanwhile, the lawsuit has become the prime topic for a number of sports media personalities. Stephen A. Smith has claimed that the details of the Dwight Howard lawsuit, namely that he performed non-consensual acts on model Stephen Harper, is the reason that Howard went unsigned in the NBA this past offseason. The ESPN personality made his claims on the most recent episode of The Stephen A. Smith Show, becoming visibly disgusted while reading Harper’s account of what Howard did to him following an invitation for a threesome at Howard’s home.

Elsewhere, on It Is What It Is, Ma$e gave a similar conclusion to Smith. However, the rapper focused more on Howard’s sexuality than the claims of sexual assault. We gotta stop saying it doesn’t matter what happens behind closed doors because it does matter. People wouldn’t be talking about it if it didn’t matter. There’s a reason that 30 teams didn’t sign Dwight Howard,” the rapper argued. However, at no point in the monologue does Ma$e refer to the accusations being made against Howard.

“Harlem” Actress Jerrie Johnson Accuses Film Director Marc Cayce Of Sexual Assualt

After attending a movie premiere after party, actress Jerrie Johnson took to her Instagram earlier today (February 28) to share a disturbing encounter. She recounts being introduced to movie director Marc Cayce by a mutual friend. Following an unfriendly first meeting, Cayce allegedly disgraces Johnson’s gender identity and sexually assaults her. The actress, known for her work in Harlem, explained the situation while calling out the filmmaker for the interaction. “He whispered in my ear, ‘I don’t want to hurt your feelings brother,’” Johnson recalled, “and I said ‘My feelings don’t get hurt and why are you calling me brother, I’m not a brother,’ and this man proceeded to pinch my nipple.”

Johnson noted that Cayce had also nonconsensually “smacked” her friend’s butt earlier in the evening. In her post, the star included a screenshot of the 56-year-old’s profile alongside a google search of him. Cayce, who gained recognition for his first film, Nikita Blues, also is noted as a movie writer and producer. He has yet to address the claims Johnson has publically made against him.

Jerrie Johnson Calls Out Marc Cayce For “Disgusting” Experience

The 29-year-old actress concluded the post with a message: “Listen, I’m the wrong one. I don’t care about LA culture or industry culture or any of that- you should not be touching people inappropriately for ANY REASON.” Further, Johnson reflects that the interaction was “disgusting” and “inappropriate.”

Johnson, who identifies as a queer woman, recently reflected on her nonbinary identity, which she described to AutoStraddle. “This binary is so new and so American and so beneficial to the patriarchy and white supremacy, that I feel like it would be a disservice for me and my legacy for me to feed into any type of binary,” she described regarding her portrayal of Tye in Harlem, as well as her personal life. The actress goes on to explain the comedy show’s representation of diversity, noting the importance of “how we’re presenting people, how we’re writing things, how we’re casting things so that people can see people like me in more of a nuance across different mediums in the industry.” Season two of Harlem aired on Prime Video earlier this month. T.I. And His Wife Tiny Are Being Accused Of Sexual Assault By A Lawyer Seeking Criminal Investigations

Atlanta trap rap godfather T.I. and his wife Tiny are being accused of multiple accounts of sexual assault, according to the New York Times, which reports that a lawyer has reached out to law enforcement in two states, urging authorities to pursue criminal charges. Although rumors about the couple’s alleged abuse have circulated for weeks on social media, criminal charges have yet to be filed.

Tyrone A. Blackburn, a lawyer representing 11 people who claim to have been victimized by the couple or their entourage, sent letters to state and federal prosecutors in California and Georgia on February 19, where the assaults allegedly took place. Four women accuse T.I. and Tiny of drugging and sexually assaulting them. The letter describes an “eerily similar” pattern in which multiple women, who do not know each other, allege “sexual abuse, forced ingestion of illegal narcotics, kidnapping, terroristic threats and false imprisonment” by the celebrity couple.

However, a lawyer for T.I. and Tiny dismissed the allegations, calling them “nothing more than the continuation of a sordid shakedown campaign that began on social media and now attempts to manipulate the press and misuse the justice system.”

Further complicating the issue is that many of the incidents described are either approaching or past the statutes of limitation in those states; Blackburn says the women feared coming forward previously because of T.I.’s fearsome reputation and past gun convictions.

The charges first emerged on social media several weeks ago, as first one woman, then others posted to Instagram and Twitter sharing their claims of abuse by T.I. and Tiny. Although T.I. refuted the allegations in his own video, accounts like The Shade Room magnified the accusations, prompting MTV Entertainment to postpone production of the VH1 show T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle.

The Times reports speaking with several of the women, who described their experiences in further detail here.
