Diddy’s (Alleged) Dirty Deeds: Sinister Stories & Scandals Through The Years

A Hip Hop empire has fallen now that Sean “Diddy” Combs has been taken into federal custody. The media mogul rose through the industry’s ranks to become one of the most successful Rap moguls to date, but his career has been fraught with controversy since its inception. Diddy has reigned over his Hip Hop kingdom with precision, floating through each of his monikers at various stages of his development. After helping to put Uptown Records on the map, Combs founded Bad Boy Records, an iconic label that gave us The Notorious B.I.G., Faith Evans, Total, The LOX, Craig Mack, 112, Shyne, Cassie, Mase, and many more. During its heyday, there were only a few labels to contend with the megahits rolling out of Bad Boys’ studios, but these days, Diddy’s alleged dirty deeds have placed him in a spotlight that the hitmaker would have rather avoided.

As Diddy faces an onslaught of lawsuits alleging violence and sexual abuse, he’s also looking at the possibility of spending the remainder of his life in prison. Federal authorities reportedly arrested Combs in New York City last week after being charged with racketeering and sex trafficking. Although his legal team hoped he could await his trial in the comforts of his lavish estate, a judge ordered Diddy to remain behind bars until the launch of his trial. This shocking decision, along with the reports of what authorities located in Diddy’s home during their raid, has taken over timelines. Even the mega-mogul’s peers have come forward, some to defend his character, while others share wild, alleged “Diddy Party” stories of their own.

It was Cassie Ventura’s explosive lawsuit against her former lover last year that seemed to propel this current investigation. We’ll get more into that as we go on, but Combs settled that suit out of court just 24 hours after Ventura filed her paperwork. However, hers wasn’t the first allegation of abuse—for over a decade, stories have haunted Puff from the courtroom to the streets. These accusations have surfaced from Wendy Williams to Combs’ former employees to Al. B Sure defending the late Kim Porter to models who have retained their own attorneys. Meanwhile, the internet is walking down memory lane as it revisits some of Diddy’s most controversial moments. The list of rumors and allegations is enough for a miniseries, but we’re gathering just a few of the most discussed from the life of Sean Combs that have kept him in infamy.

Notorious B.I.G.’s Murder

In March 1997, Hip Hop suffered a great loss when Christopher Wallace, better known as The Notorious B.I.G. or Biggie Smalls, was fatally gunned down in Los Angeles. For decades, speculation has circulated in the industry regarding Biggie’s death, and some even named Combs in rumors of a plot. Then, Rolling Stone released an exposé that shook the foundation of the case—they purported Wallace wanted out of his Bad Boy contract and was working on his exit from the label. The publication further stated that Biggie turned to his legal team to gain rights to his publishing, and there was a covert battle between Puff and Big about the concerns.

Upon news of Biggie’s death, RS claimed that Combs capitalized on the tragedy for financial gain. Rolling Stone approached Bad Boy for a magazine cover just months after Big’s murder. However, Kirk Burrowes, who co-founded the label and was acting as president of the company at the time, said that Diddy didn’t want Big on the cover. Instead, Combs graced the August 1997 issue, with Burrowes alleging that Diddy wanted to promote his debut album, No Way Out. Meanwhile, Biggie’s murder officially remains unsolved, although there is still gossip involving Combs, Suge Knight, and a host of characters.

The Assault On Steve Stoute

Mega music executive Steve Stoute also had his name tied up in Diddy’s madness, albeit back in 1998. At that time, Stoute was acting as Nas’ manager, and it was then that he reportedly had a heated altercation with Combs. According to The Los Angeles Times, Stoute recalled he and Diddy exchanging words on the music video set of “Hate Me Now.” As the story goes, the idea for the video was for Combs to be depicted as a crucified Christ. Diddy wanted the scene axed, but somehow, it wasn’t removed. This reportedly angered Combs, who, Stoute said, showed up at his office and went after him with a champagne bottle. Stoute alleged that during the attack, his jaw and arm were broken.

The altercation resulted in Diddy receiving assault charges, but he denied any bones were damaged. Combs would later speak with MTV about the incident, claiming he apologized to Stoute. He also stated he “disappointed myself” as well as the “Hip Hop community.” Combs added, “Because everything I do, I’m trying to be a team player in taking Hip Hop to the next level.” Later, Diddy pleaded guilty to harassment and was ordered to take an anger management course.

Diddy Allegedly Threatened A Vibe Editor

Diddy attacked a lot of people and from what I’m hearing, most were women.

This story has resurfaced after famed journalist Touré revisited the tale in a TikTok video. According to the clip, Danyel Smith was an editor at Vibe magazine in 1995 when Diddy graced the cover. She actually previously shared this story with The New York Times, claiming that days following the cover photo shoot, Combs reached out demanding to see the images before they were published. Smith denied the request because it wasn’t Vibe‘s protocol—along with most magazines. After being rejected, Smith stated she heard through the grapevine that Combs planned to visit Vibe‘s offices in an effort to force her hand. Days later, Smith alleged that Diddy showed up irate, requesting to see her immediately while searching for her. Smith remarked she was doing her best to avoid the upset mogul and managed to sneak out of the back door and hail a cab home.

This wasn’t the saga’s end; Puff allegedly called again the next day, wanting to see the pictures. Smith once again said no, and it was then that she claimed he threatened to “see you dead in the trunk of a car.” Combs is also accused of telling her he knew her exact location at that moment, and Smith said she wasn’t taking any chances. She contacted her attorney, resulting in the mega-producer issuing an apology. Again, one would think this is the conclusion of a wild story, but according to Smith, within days, there was another controversy. She stated that when she returned to work, the servers that held all the information for Diddy’s Vibe issue were no longer there. They were purportedly stolen, but despite the setback, the issue was published.

The Club Shooting Which Landed Shyne In Jail

Probably one of the most significant controversies in Combs’ career is tied to Moses “Shyne” Barrow. Shyne was an emerging artist under the Bad Boy umbrella, with his deep, captivating cadence that caught the attention of both fans and the industry. However, a night out at the club in December 1999 would derail Shyne’s career after it turned into a shooting that injured three people. Now, what occurred that evening has been under speculation for years. What is known is there was an altercation that escalated into someone pulling out a firearm—and Shyne was accused of having his finger on the trigger.

Shyne and Diddy faced charges related to the shooting, but the latter was acquitted despite authorities claiming they found weapons in his vehicle. Yet, Shyne wasn’t so lucky and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Since then, he has turned his life around after returning to Belize. Now an activist and politician, Shyne has left his Hip Hop life behind him. However, he has reunited with Diddy on stage at least twice since 2022. After learning of Combs’ recent arrest, Shyne spoke with reporters to share his thoughts. He said this wasn’t someone “who I vacationed with and someone who I enjoyed this great, intimate relationship of brotherhood. This is someone who destroyed my life.”

Drama Over Artists’ Publishing Rights

Over the years, several Bad Boy artists have come forward with complaints over their former label head not budging on giving them their publishing rights. Several of the Golden Era of Hip Hop hitmakers like Mase, members of 112 and Danity Kane, and others reportedly petitioned Combs for control of their publishing, to no avail. Pertaining to Mase, the Harlem World rapper took his grievances to the internet, publicly calling out his former friend. Following much controversy and scandal, Diddy decided to give his former artists their publishing rights in 2023. The move was praised by those who have complained throughout the years, aside from former Danity Kane singer Aubrey O’Day. The Making the Band star has long spoken out against Combs, even stating that in order to receive her publishing, she was allegedly told she needed to agree to no longer speak critically of Puff. In light of his federal charges, O’Day has celebrated his arrest.

Dawn Richard’s Lawsuit

Two weeks ago, Combs was hit with another lawsuit, this time from former Danity Kane singer Dawn Richard. Years ago, during an interview with Hot97, Richard seemingly praised Diddy and spoke about being loyal to him for helping develop her career on Making the Band. However, there were rumors of misdealings and ill feelings behind the scenes, and her recent lawsuit was yet another that stopped the industry in its tracks.

According to Richard’s court documents, she has accused Combs of physical violence and intimidation. She specifically named alleged incidents, including one involving Cassie Ventura. Richard stated she was at a dinner with Jimmy Iovine, Ne-Yo, and Usher, and it was there that Diddy allegedly punched Cassie in front of the guests, and no one moved or came to the singer’s aid. Richard also stated that she witnessed Combs threaten Ventura, choke her, and drag her upstairs. Richard also claimed Diddy locked her in a car for hours, “manipulated her” by threatening her career, and tried to convince her that women in the industry would have to face “abuse and exploitation” to be successful.

Further, Richard’s suit also included mentions of Diddy’s infamous parties, or as the federal authorities have called them, “freak offs.” The singer stated that she witnessed these events with “passed out” women who were alleged victims to Combs and his friends, who “performed sexual acts on them.” Moreover, Richard said she was violated when Combs allegedly grabbed her “bare buttocks” while she was in a changing room, even attempting to “touch her breasts.” When she continued to deny his advances, Richard claimed Diddy stifled her career. The lawsuit is ongoing.

His Relationship With Cassie

Last year, Cassie filed a lawsuit against Diddy, unraveling a bevy of allegations of abuse throughout their 11-year relationship. These accusations included rape, physical violence, intimidation, manipulation, and forcing her to engage in sexual acts with male escorts. Additionally, there was a story about an artist whose car was blown up because Diddy supposedly believed he and Cassie were dating after a breakup. Kid Cudi would later come forward to confirm that he was, indeed, the man in question, and the incident did occur. Diddy quickly settled the lawsuit but accused Cassie of previously attempting to blackmail him for millions. Through his lawyer, he denied the allegations.

Then, earlier this year, a video of Diddy and Cassie surfaced, again thrusting them into infamy. The surveillance footage was from a hotel, showing Cassie making her way to an elevator before Combs is seen running after her, dragging her by her hair, punching her, and kicking her while she was on the ground. Cassie further speculated in her lawsuit that Diddy paid off certain hotel workers to suppress the video evidence.

Scandal Over Fight With J. Cole Over Kendrick Lamar

This controversy resurfaced in the thick of Kendrick Lamar’s recent outpouring of diss tracks against Drake. After J. Cole swiftly removed himself from the brewing beef, fans hopped online to revisit the 2013 rumor of Cole and Combs getting into a physical altercation. The alleged event reportedly took place at an afterparty for the MTV Video Music Awards. Combs was said to have been liquored up when he confronted Cole about Lamar dubbing himself the “King of New York” on a track. K. Dot was also at the event, and Diddy allegedly attempted to pour a drink on him before Cole stepped in. Things escalated and became physical, claimed sources, but it was mainly pushing more than fisticuffs.

CCNY Controversy

In 1991, the City College of New York became the scene of a fatal stampede. Diddy was all set for a promoted celebrity basketball game and impending concert in the packed gymnasium with a capacity of 2,730. However, fans stormed the location, and at least 5,000 people were in attendance, according to reports. Things became so out of control that officials stopped letting in guests as there wasn’t enough security to stave off the crowd. Closed doors didn’t stop those on the outside from trying to make their way in, eventually breaking down the barriers. The stampede resulted in over two dozen people being injured and nine others losing their lives. Much like Travis Scott faced at Astroworld, Combs was hit with several lawsuits from victims and family members of the deceased.

Usher’s Comments About Living With Diddy During His Youth

When young artists enter the music industry, many parents allow their children to live with high-profile producers or executives as they are developed. This happened with Bow Wow and Jermaine Dupri, Justin Bieber and Scooter Braun, and Usher with Diddy. Of the latter pair, in 2016, Usher reflected on his time at Diddy’s home when he was 13 and 14 years old. While on The Howard Stern Show, Usher recalled, “There were very curious things taking place.” He spoke about the late-night to early-morning parties Combs would host with his celebrity friends. The Grammy winner also suggested that the women who frequented these events flirted with the rising star.

Diddy Assaulting UCLA Coach Over Son, Justin Combs

Pride was illuminated by the Combs family when Diddy’s son Justin was accepted to the UCLA football team. However, in 2015, it was reported that Diddy got into a physical altercation with the then-assistant football coach, Sal Alosi. It was said that Diddy was less than thrilled when Alosi criticized Justin, leading to an argument later in the coach’s office. The mogul was accused of grabbing Alosi and throwing a kettlebell at another employee. It was rumored that Diddy had to be physically removed from the location, but Combs denied the allegations via his representative. Yet, Diddy was still arrested for assault, but charges were not filed against him. He would later speak on the incident during an interview with The Breakfast Club, which you can watch above.

Dawn Richard Sues Diddy For Sexual Abuse: A Breakdown Of The Allegations

Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing the worst chapter of his existence as a mogul. Just a few days after a Michigan man won a $100M default judgment against Diddy, he’s now facing the wrath of former Danity Kane member Dawn Richard, who has come forward with disturbing allegations. Richard, according to court documents obtained by TMZ, detailed a pattern of emotional manipulation, abuse, and violent behavior at the hands of Diddy, not only against herself but his ex-girlfriend, Cassie, as well.

Verbal Abuse & Career Manipulation

According to TMZ, Dawn Richard claims her ordeal began in 2004 when she appeared on Diddy’s MTV show Making The Band. She alleges that Diddy manipulated her by promising to advance her music career in exchange for compliance with his erratic and demeaning demands. Richard recounts how Diddy regularly humiliated female contestants, calling them derogatory names like “fat,” “ugly,” “bitches,” and “hoes.” Turning a dream into a nightmare, she claims Diddy targeted her specifically due to her excitement at working with him. The alleged manipulation extended beyond just verbal abuse. Richard’s lawsuit suggests that Diddy used his power and influence to keep her in line, creating an uneven dynamic that held her future in the industry dependent on her willingness to endure his behavior.

Witnessing The Abuse Of Cassie

One of the most shocking aspects of Dawn Richard’s lawsuit involves her eyewitness accounts of Diddy’s alleged physical abuse of his ex-girlfriend, Cassie. According to TMZ, Richard says that in 2005, she saw another of Diddy’s former partners, Kim Porter, leaving a music studio with visible injuries. This incident, she claims, was the first red flag indicating that Diddy would leverage physical violence if needed.

Things escalated when, in 2009, Richard claims she personally witnessed Diddy violently assault Cassie at his Los Angeles home. Allegedly high on drugs, Diddy reportedly hurled Cassie against a wall, choked her, and dragged her up a flight of stairs. Similarly, she claims that in another situation, Diddy allegedly punched Cassie in the face and attempted to strangle her. Richard also recounts a separate incident where Diddy hurled a hot pan of eggs at Cassie in a fit of rage while shouting, “I’ve been asking you for my s**t; I can’t stand you bitch, you never do it right!”

Alleged Threats To Danity Kane

In addition to witnessing the abuse, Richard claims that Diddy took extreme measures to keep those around him silent. TMZ reports that Richard and other associates, including Kalenna Harper, her Diddy-Dirty Money bandmate, tried to convince Cassie to leave Diddy. However, once he found out about the conversation, it allegedly prompted an intense response. Richard alleges that Diddy threatened them, saying, “Y’all bitches don’t get in my relationship” and “Don’t tell my bitch [Cassie] what she need to be doing … Just make money and shut the f**k up … I end artists … I shelve careers … You could be missing … You bitches want to die today.”

This climate of fear, which has been a common theme among the lawsuits filed against him recently by former associates and employees, allegedly extended to Richard herself. Diddy reportedly manipulated those closest to him into submission by using his power and threats to derail their careers if they spoke out against him.

Richard’s Personal Experiences Of Abuse

Though much of the lawsuit surrounds the alleged heinous acts that Richard witnessed, she also details her own experience of abuse at Diddy’s hands. The TMZ report says she claims that Diddy subjected her to grueling work conditions. She alleged that he forced her to rehearse for up to 48 hours without rest. The constant strain led to severe physical issues, including dehydration, fatigue, and extreme weight loss. She also recalls a disturbing encounter at Diddy’s Miami home, where he allegedly demanded that she come over while he wore nothing but his underwear. “This is my f**king house!” he allegedly responded after she requested that he clothe himself.

The abuse escalated further between 2009 and 2011, according to the suit. Richard alleges that, while naked, Diddy entered her dressing room and inappropriately touched her breasts and butt. Another alarming incident detailed in the lawsuit claims that Diddy locked her inside of a car with heavily tinted windows for two hours. She claims that she screamed for help and at one point, even tried calling her father. Richard alleges that her dad traveled to New York from Baltimore to confront Diddy and try to free her but the mogul allegedly issued not-so-subtle threats to him. Once he threatened to take the matters to the authorities, Diddy reportedly responded, “Think about your daughter” and “think about your daughter’s career.”

Conclusion

We’re nearly reaching the one-year mark since Cassie dropped her own bombshell lawsuit, causing a domino effect in the industry. Over the past 10 months, Diddy has been hit with more heinous allegations from former colleagues and associates. Shortly after, his homes were raided by federal agents, reportedly as part of a much bigger investigation. Thusfar, Diddy has not faced any criminal charges, though it feels like this lawsuit from Richard is far from the last.

“Ultimately, my silence has become too painful, and I realized that I need to tell my story to heal,” Mangroe says. “I hope that doing so will also help others and prevent future horrific abuse.”

Russell Simmons Receives Lawsuit From Server In Bali, Reportedly Expresses Shock

The various accusations of sexual assault against Russell Simmons have seemingly followed him all the way to Bali, where he currently resides. Moreover, AllHipHop reports that process server Daniel John Ayoub handed him a lawsuit from fellow former music executive Drew Dixon for defamation concerning his staunch dismissal of her sexual assault claims against him. The story goes that, on March 5, Ayoub went to the Gdas Bali Health And Wellness Resort, which Simmons owns, to serve him with the filing at around 12:30PM local time. After passing two security checkpoints, he searched for him for an hour before finally spotting him.

“I recognized him as the person named in the service papers as Russell Simmons,” Ayoub reportedly expressed. “[He’s] a well-known celebrity and widely known in Bali, Indonesia as well as in the United States and other places.” Simmons had sat with some associates by the time the server approached him. “I said ‘Excuse me, Mr. Simmons, sorry to interrupt your meeting,’” he reportedly claimed. “I then handed Simmons the service documents in an envelope and said, ‘This is for you.’” According to reports, the Queens native expressed shock at the move, and made some calls to his security staff and other unknown contacts.

For those unaware, this case began when Russell Simmons vehemently denied Drew Dixon’s accusations of sexual assault against him. He called her a “liar” and insinuated that the people accusing him of this behavior simply want the fame and money that such a high-profile case brings. Dixon then sued for defamation, as she claims these comments negatively impacted her professional and personal life in a massive way. She seeks compensatory and punitive damages, and this is a separate case to another related to sexual assault from another former Def Jam executive.

Meanwhile, Dixon also accused music executive L.A. Reid of similar abhorrent behavior, who has also denied any and all claims. According to court documented reportedly obtained by AllHipHop, both legal teams are considering settlements in their respective cases. But it’s unclear what the future will hold in terms of proper evaluation of evidence, accountability, and industry change. Boosie Badazz Shares Hot Take On Cassie’s Diddy Lawsuit

Boosie Badazz weighed in on Cassie’s recent sexual abuse lawsuit against Diddy during an interview with VladTV. In doing so, he explained that he feels the singer was either “traumatized” or “loved every minute of it.”

“Either she was traumatized by what she been through. Either she was traumatized and she was sick and hurt, or she loved every minute of it,” he said. “It’s either, or. No, it ain’t both. It’s either, or because if you said he done what all he allegedly did, then you traumatized in one way. But it also can be a way– I know women who– I had a woman tell me, ‘I want you to come look for me and grab me out the club.’ I’m saying that to say she could’ve loved every minute of it.”

Cassie filed her lawsuit against Diddy back in November, accusing him of various allegations including rape. The two reached a settlement just a day later. However, in the following weeks, several more alleged victims came forward with stories of abuse from Diddy. The Bad Boy mogul finally spoke out, earlier this month. “Enough is enough,” Diddy wrote on Instagram. “For the last couple of weeks, I have sat silently and watched people try to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation and my legacy. Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday. Let me absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth.”

Diddy Gets Letter From Cassie’s Friend Detailing His Alleged Abuse

While Diddy and Cassie settled the sexual assault lawsuit that the latter brought against the former, the story is still not over. On one hand, multiple other alleged victims came forward with legal action of their own against him, which is seemingly spiraling further and further with each passing week. On the other, other tangential figures in the singer’s case came forward with their own testimonies and claims. The latest to do this is Cassie’s friend Tiffany Red, who wrote a letter to Sean Combs published in Rolling Stone. In it, she gives weight to her friend’s claims and further suggests certain patterns when it comes to his allegedly abhorrent behavior.

Moreover, Red explained that she met Cassie in 2015, and that she helped her write songs for her second album, which never came out. They became close, and spoke about the latter’s relationship with Diddy quite often. So, when the three met at Cassie’s surprise 29th birthday party, Tiffany alleged that he didn’t take kindly to her being so close with his artist. When the singer wanted to go to a karaoke bar, Puffy and his crew allegedly tried to convince her otherwise, but they ended up making it shortly after Cassie and company got there. Then, he took the Connecticut native outside for a chat, and Red followed them given her hunch that something was up.

Excerpts From Cassie’s Friend’s Letter To Diddy

Furthermore, Diddy allegedly verbally abused Cassie when Red found them, and she became too scared to do anything as his entourage surrounded them. When everyone was back at Cassie’s apartment, she left to be with him even though she didn’t want to, according to her friend. This is allegedly the “freak-off” sex party that she named in her now-settled lawsuit. Later that night, Red claimed, they both returned very drunk and high, and the Bad Boy mogul screamed at her for her work on Cassie’s songs.

“I am traumatized by you,” the letter reads. “Your abuse of power has inflicted ongoing harm on countless individuals, including myself, my friends, and my peers. It pains me to write this letter to you as a Black woman, but when will this cycle of abuse stop? It has to stop.” For more news and the latest updates on Cassie and Diddy, stick around on HNHH.

50 Cent Sends More Shots At Diddy Amid Lawsuits

50 Cent is continuing to target Diddy on Instagram, as the Bad Boy mogul is facing multiple lawsuits concerning sexual abuse. In his latest post referencing Diddy, 50 remarked that he has “fuck you” money while reacting to a New York Times piece about his business empire. The headline for the article asks, “After Sexual Assault Suits, Are Sean Combs’s Empire and Brand at Risk?”

Another commented: “Y’all must ain’t read @50cent book, because once I read it I understand how he moves and admire it! Cassie Settles Diddy Lawsuit: Who Supported The Singer?

The last few days have certainly been intense for Cassie Ventura and Sean “Diddy” Combs. On November 16, 2023, Cassie filed a lawsuit against the music mogul, immediately making headlines across the media. While the two dated for a decade, their relationship has been over since 2018. Following their separation, they seemed to have remained amicable and barely interacted with each other since. However, in a shocking turn of events, Cassie accused Diddy of years of physical abuse and sex trafficking in her recent civil lawsuit.

Interestingly enough, a settlement was reached just a day later, which shocked the public even further, raising eyebrows as to why Diddy was so quick to settle the suit. As of November 20th, the case was officially dismissed. In the short time that the lawsuit stood, several notable celebrities stood behind Cassie. Besides her loyal fans, and a horde of social media users, here’s a list of people who openly supported Cassie.

Personal trainer and actor Alex Fine is Cassie’s husband of four years. The two began dating in 2018, shortly after her split from Diddy. Interestingly, Diddy was originally a client of Fine, and it was the mogul who introduced him to Cassie. Subsequently, he became a personal trainer to Cassie as well, and the rest is history.

A source told People that Cassie “started to open up” to Fine after they hit it off in the early stages of their relationship. Evidently, he has been in her corner ever since. Unsurprisingly, since Cassie filed the lawsuit against Diddy, Fine has stood firmly behind her. Soon after news of the lawsuit broke, Fine shared a picture of himself and Cassie from their wedding on his Instagram story. Markedly, he captioned it with a heart emoji, but it was a simple but profound show of support for his wife.

Aubrey O’Day

Former lead singer of girl group, Danity Kane, O’Day wasted no time showing her support for Cassie. Following the news of Cassie’s lawsuit, she shared several screenshots on X, with the caption, “I stay trying to tell y’all.” In addition, she shared with Page Six that she is “in complete support” of Cassie. Furthermore, in a statement to Rolling Stone, she said, “Taking a stand against one of the most influential figures in this industry and being open about your encounters with them isn’t an easy path. I empathize deeply with what Cassie is going through because I’ve walked a similar road.”

After Diddy and Cassie settled their lawsuit, O’Day blasted the justice system, writing, “Money [over] accountability. Every time.” Many misconstrued the comment as a slight toward Cassie, though O’Day cleared the air. “I WAS TALKING ABOUT DIDDY NOT CASSIE. she tole her story, she was brave,” she wrote. “The person that needed to hold themself accountable was PUFF, NOT HER. Justice is a word that means nothing to those that can afford it’s grasp.”

Formerly signed to Bad Boy Records herself, O’Day suggested that she had unsavory experiences during her time with the label. On an episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast from 2022, the singer alleged that she was fired from Danity Kane because she “wasn’t willing to do what was expected. Not talent-wise, but in other areas.” Evidently, she maintained a cryptic stance, perhaps to protect herself. However, her recent comments supporting Cassie indicate that she may have previously contemplated filing a lawsuit of her own. While she has not been as direct and detailed about her experiences, her support for Cassie piqued the interest of fans, especially since she has been vocal about her disdain for Diddy for years.

Dawn Richard

Like Aubrey O’Day, Dawn Richard is a former member of Danity Kane. In the past, she had barely had anything negative to say about her former label boss. However, following the announcement of the lawsuit, she openly supported Cassie. On November 16, she posted on X, “Praying for Cassie and her family, for peace and healing. You are beautiful and brave.” This also came as no surprise to fans, as the shocking disbandment of Danity Kane has long since troubled fans.

Kimora Lee

Admittedly, Kimora Lee’s support for Cassie and the lawsuit against Diddy is mostly presumed. However, fans believe the cryptic Instagram story the model posted on November 17 could have only been pointing to one thing. Lee herself has had an altercation with Diddy in the past. Therefore, when she posted “As you sow, so you shall reap,” following reports of the lawsuit, fans quickly connected the dots. Without confirmation, however, it cannot be said for sure what Lee was referring to.

Never one to hold back, Azealia Banks confidently chipped in, backing Cassie soon after the lawsuit was announced. While setting camp on Instagram, she alleged that Diddy once beat Cassie up. According to her, it was so bad that Diddy had to send her to Hawaii to heal away from the eyes of the press. She proceeded to call Diddy “another violent hip-hop homosexual.”

Sean “Diddy” Combs And Cassie Swiftly Settle Explosive Lawsuit Amidst Serious Allegations

Well, that was fast! Cassie and hip-hop mogul Sean Combs, widely known as Diddy, have settled the explosive lawsuit just one day after Cassie filed allegations of rape and numerous instances of physical abuse against Combs. The serious allegations swept social media by storm. With many figures publicly supporting Cassie and many others staying quiet. Diddy’s legal team denied everything, but there were allegations that Diddy offered Cassie 8 figures to stay quiet.

However, the announcement of the settlement came on a Friday evening, with both parties choosing not to disclose any details regarding the terms of the agreement. Cassie, whose full name is Casandra Ventura, released a statement expressing her decision to resolve the matter amicably, stating, “I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control. I want to thank my family, fans, and lawyers for their unwavering support.”

Cassie And Diddy Decide To Settle Amicably

Similarly, Sean Combs offered a brief statement, saying, “We have decided to resolve this matter amicably. I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love.” The swift resolution of this high-profile case leaves many unanswered questions, as the details of the settlement remain confidential. The outcome spares both parties from a legal battle while leaving the public to contemplate the broader implications of such allegations in the entertainment industry.

Additionally, settling it quickly is the better option for Combs if avoiding the prospect of a trial is the goal. A trial would involve public disclosure of evidence, which can have detrimental effects on his public perception. “Cassie accomplished what she wanted, she got to tell her story and now she’s added a layer of protection,” one user commented on social media. “He can’t do anything to harm her without all of us looking directly at him.” “Cassie & Diddy settled that faster than an episode of SVU. Diddy didn’t want anything else to come out, it must’ve been REAL BAD but Cassie started a catalyst. That trigger warning on that 35 page court document sealed the deal. This is not the last we gone hear about him!!” another person said.

The legal dispute garnered international attention as Cassie leveled accusations against Combs. She alleged a history of physical assault, manipulative conduct, and instances of sexual abuse, including rape. Stay tuned to see how things continue to unfold, if they do. What are your thoughts on Diddy settling this matter urgently?
