When Is Rolling Loud Los Angeles 2024?

After its triumphant return to Los Angeles earlier this year, Rolling Loud announced the dates for its next festival in LA. It’ll once again take over Inglewood’s Hollywood Park, which is the area surrounding the SoFi Stadium, on March 15-17, 2024. Presale passes will be available beginning this Friday, October 20, at 10 a.m. You can find more info at RollingLoud.com.

The festival’s 2023 edition at Hollywood Park was headlined by Future, Playboi Carti, and Travis Scott, and according to a press release, was the first ever music festival held at the venue. It was also the first Rolling Loud to take place in LA since 2019, with the fest relocating to nearby San Bernardino for the December 2021 edition of the fest. The organizers decided to forego 2022 dates in lieu of securing a first-quarter weekend at the pristine new location, also launching its LoudPunx NFT initiative offering lifetime access and festival exclusives.

2024 also marks the 10th anniversary of Rolling Loud, with celebrations throughout the year, with more details to be revealed alongside lineups and headliners. Rolling Loud’s organizers say they plan a full World Tour, returning to the festival’s hometown, Miami, as well as Europe and more. As always, you can get more information at RollingLoud.com.

The establishment of the Rolling Loud Overtime Elite team further cements the game-changing partnership between these two innovative entities. This dynamic partnership is set to redefine the intersection of hip-hop, sports, and entertainment excitingly.

Luh Tyler Turns Rolling Loud Upside-Down In His ‘Rapper Of The Year’ Video

In Luh Tyler‘s video for “Rapper Of The Year,” the fast-rising teen captures his first Rolling Loud performance rocking for a massive crowd. In typical Luh Tyler fashion, the song eshews a traditional verse-hook structure in lieu of a stream-of-consciousness flow that highlights Tyler’s freestyle ability. “I ain’t ever wrote a song, no I don’t need no pad or pen,” he boasts. “They say i’m rapper of the year, I got them n****s mad again.”

In the video, Tyler is joined onstage by one of his musical inspirations in Kodak Black, as well as his mom, who looks as excited as anybody to be dancing around with her son as he raps songs from his debut album My Vision, which dropped via Atlantic in March of this year. The Tallahassee native has been busy since; in June, he was selected as a member of the 2023 XXL Freshman Class along with GloRilla and Lola Brooke, and earlier this month, joined Moneybagg Yo on the Memphis rapper’s Larger Than Life Tour.

“Rapper Of The Year” is the title track from a three-song release (abbreviated as ROTY, which also included the songs “I’m Him” and “St. Nick.”

Bunny Zingler’s Music Festival Packing And Prepping Guide

Summer may be coming to a close in the US but music festival season is really a global chase for endless summer (if you have the means to travel). Going someplace steamy when it’s cooling down back home is a huge selling point for many music-loving vagabonds. Plus the US summer season isn’t over yet — Burning Man, Imagine Music Festival, Borderland Music & Arts Music, and Life Is Beautiful are all on the horizon. Hulaween, Portola Festival, Joshua Tree Festival, Tomorrowland Brazil, Groove Cruise, and more are on the way.

With more music to come, we tapped the Queen of Rolling Loud, Bunny Zingler. The fashion icon — who takes a 360 approach to self-expression through music, fashion, and beauty at festivals — just wrapped up her on-site activation at last month’s most powerful hip-hop music festival in history with her exclusive Forever 21 collection, bridging the gap between fashion and festival culture. The collection draws inspiration from the 90s and Rolling Loud’s home base of Miami with a variety of pieces including checkered bodysuits, colorful cargo pants, fitted graphic crop tops, and palm tree-emblazoned matching sets – a nod to the city’s vibrant nightlife scene and lively culture.

To prepare for the rest of this year’s and beyond festivals, we asked Zingler to walk us through how to properly prep and pack for your for a fest while also showcasing some personalized looks from her latest Forever 21 collection.

PART I – How To Prep

KAY GRAY

Schedule Out Beauty Treatments:

I try to plan any particular beauty treatments that take more time and healing at least two weeks before Rolling Loud or any other festival. One of these beauty treatments is usually a facial with my esthetician. Depending on how my skin is doing at that time, I either opt for a chemical peel or something a bit less invasive like an intense hydra-facial. Around this time I also like to check in on my routine teeth cleaning, hair removal process, baby botox, and root touch-up for my hair.

This is also the time when I would be planning all of my outfits and start packing little by little.

Work Out:

After completing anything painful and invasive, my second phase of prep is what I like to call the “good uncomfortable.” I really enjoy getting in good workouts that make me feel stronger. Lifting and stretching before Rolling Loud helps me ensure my body is ready to take on the heat and all the dancing I’ll be doing! I make sure to maintain a good diet even outside of prepping for special events but even more so leading up to them.

I try to get in a lot of protein, carbs, water, and minerals leading up so I know my body has the utmost fuel.

Self-Care & Last-Minute Errands:

Getting a little closer to Rolling Loud, I like to implement a lot of healing properties and self-care by doing things that make me feel good and look good. I always make sure I have my outfits completely prepped and packed, leaving just toiletries, makeup, and hair items to be packed for later on, a little closer to the event. Some of the things I enjoy during this time are definitely aloe pop face-sicles that I make at home, as well as getting a lot of rest. Rolling Loud is three days long, and with all the time and prepping beforehand and also in the moment, it really is crucial to make sure you’re fueling your body and setting yourself up for success to ensure you have the best time ever.

Along with this, I finish any last-minute errands, work, and home chores to make sure everything at home is good to go — leaving no loose ends to worry about.

Grab The Fun Essentials

After completing all of the above, I’m almost ready! Now it’s time for fun stuff like full body exfoliation, a spray tan, and a dope new set of nails. Aside from these, all I have to do now is pack up my hygiene, hair, makeup, and get an awesome hydration and vitamin IV before I really start the party. Quick tip for arrival – as soon as I get to Rolling Loud or any festival I attend, I also find the nearest supermarket and buy a case of water and my favorite go-to snacks to have on hand after a long day/night.

PART II – Packing Essentials

bunny zingler
KAY GRAY

Electrolyte Packets:

These are most important for me because whether you’re consuming alcohol or not, you’re still getting pretty active going back and forth to stages while hopping and bopping around to your favorite music, especially at a festival like Rolling Loud where we have so many stages and acts I want to see. Staying hydrated is the number one festival essential for me.

Face & Body Sunscreen:

Finding a face sunscreen that works for you is almost like finding a precious gem. I swear it’s taken me years to figure out a sunscreen that works for my skin and doesn’t leave me worried about pesky breakouts or potential allergic reactions to chemicals. Do the research and start finding that for yourself as soon as you can – it will really help your skin for the long run and also in the present. Nothing’s worse than being burnt while you’re having fun – that’s the type of issue that would prevent me from fully enjoying my time.

Setting Spray:

Setting spray is super important to me! Usually, I opt for an aerosol setting spray for long-wearing makeup events like music festivals where you’re outside most of the day. For some reason, I think it just works a lot better than a traditional spray

Your Trusty Pair of Sneakers or Shoes:

I have certain shoes that are just my “festival shoes.” These are ones I’ve already broken in and don’t mind getting a little roughed up. Try to always have your feet, ankles, and toes protected at a festival for your safety.

Sunglasses:

Sunglasses because, well, they protect your eyes and always look super cool. If the setting spray flops and your makeup starts melting – sunglasses! I always try to bring an inexpensive pair because I end up losing them throughout the night. So make sure to pack a few pairs!

Hair Bands:

You or someone else will always need a hairband. Sometimes you wanna live in the moment and let your hair down without it actually flying in your face or sticking to you…hair bands !!!

NLE Choppa Flirts With Brittany Renner In New Backstage Interview

Over the weekend NLE Choppa performed at Rolling Loud Festival in Miami. He took the stage as part of an absolutely stacked Sunday lineup where he delivered some of his biggest hits for fans. Directly after his performance, he caught up with social media star Brittany Renner for a quick interview. The conversation had barely even begun before Choppa was pulling out all the stops and flirting with Renner. She praised his performance at the festival, for which he thanked her and called her “beautiful.” The end of the short exchange is what many fans have zeroed in on when Choppa says that the interview makes him feel “special” and Renner confirms that he is. She closes off the interview by describing the rapper as “a charmer.” You can watch the clip below.

In a weekend full of controversy at Rolling Loud Miami, NLE Choppa played things pretty straight. Fans online praised his performance where he brought his trademark intensity to the Rolling Loud stage. He also dropped a new single over the weekend. The most recent release in his prolific run over the last few years is a collaboration with 2Rare called “Don’t Run.”

NLE Choppa Gets Flirty In Interview

Earlier this year NLE Choppa dropped his new album Cottonwood 2. The 22-song project features guest verses from 2Rare, Lil Wayne, Lola Brooke, Modesty, Fivio Foreign, Kevin Gates, Duke Deuce, Polo G, G Herbo, Queen Naija, and Rick Ross. The album scored a pair of hits for Choppa with the songs “SLUT ME OUT” and “DO IT AGAIN.” He recently released a deluxe edition of the album which added nine new tracks. Included among the features on that project were Sexyy Red, Fridayy, and more.

NLE Choppa has made it clear in recent weeks that he loves Sexyy Red. The rapper receives quite a bit of hate online but Choppa didn’t mince words a few weeks ago when he came to her defense against haters. What do you think of NLE Choppa flirting with Brittany Renner backstage at Rolling Loud? Let us know in the comment section below.

Coi Leray’s Rolling Loud Set Was The First Time Her Father Benzino Ever Saw Her Perform

Remember the whole kerfuffle over entertainment industry nepo babies a few months ago? It feels like you could write a whole article about them for the children of rappers. However, unlike in Hollywood, where name recognition can keep earning you roles you might otherwise miss out on, in rap, fans actively hold your parentage against you (plus, either fans like and stream the music or they don’t).

That makes Coi Leray‘s breakout all the more impressive, even if her dad, former Source magazine owner Benzino, didn’t help her out much along the way. In fact, he’s never even been to one of her shows, according to a backstage interview the father-daughter pair gave at Rolling Loud in Miami over the weekend. After Coi called her dad over and revealed it was his first time ever seeing her perform, he gave his assessment.

“You can say I’m biased,” he admitted, “But honestly, I don’t see nobody else doing that. She’s amazing.”

This is a far cry from some of the comments they’ve previously made. Coi has admitted to downplaying their relationship in the pursuit of her own rap career, even going as far as tweeting, “I NEVER WANTED ANYBODY TO KNOW!!! I’M EMBARRASSED TO BE YOUR DAUGHTER.” Meanwhile, Benzino himself had critiqued her career and even nearly accidentally sabotaged her by revealing her collaboration with Nicki Minaj before it was ready, prompting Nicki to consider pulling the plug.

It’s nice to see the pair in a better place.

James Harden Loaded Up On Burgers From Bun B At Rolling Loud While Joel Embiid Got Married

This past weekend was an eventful one for the stars of the Philadelphia 76ers, as Joel Embiid got married on Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed himself, FaceTiming Meek Mill to rap “Dreams and Nightmares” to him from the ceremony while also dancing up a storm.

While that was happening and a handful of Embiid’s teammates were in attendance for his nuptials, James Harden and PJ Tucker were down in Miami enjoying themselves at Rolling Loud, where a video went viral of Harden grabbing four (4) hamburgers from legendary Houston rapper Bun B.

Listen, who among us has not been enjoying themselves at a concert, maybe had a few beverages, and not wanted to eat four hamburgers. I would do the same thing as Harden if presented with a tray of free burgers, so I am not going to be one to throw stones here.

That said, plenty of folks online began making connections between Harden’s statement (or maybe threat) earlier in the week to make things “uncomfortable” on his Instagram story amid the reports he’d be more than willing to report to camp and be a distraction should the Sixers not meet his trade request by October. Harden knows better than most how to turn up the heat on a team and make clear he doesn’t want to be there, as he put on some pounds in Houston when he wanted to leave the Rockets and made the Nets locker room miserable before being dealt to Philly. Maybe this is part of the program, maybe he’s taking burgers to some friends, or maybe he was just a very hungry fella. Either way, it is a pretty funny video of him just stacking burgers in his arms and disappearing into the night.

Antonio Brown Poses With Yung Miami: “She Don’t Need Diddy”

Antonio Brown shared a picture with Yung Miami on Instagram, Sunday, trolling her on and off again partner, Diddy. “Told Caresha I’m in the city. She don’t need diddy,” the former NFL wide receiver captioned the photo. The post shows the two smiling next to one another at Rolling Loud Miami from over the weekend.

“She’s going where the bag is. Sorry buddy. Yo future is uncertain,” one fan commented on Brown’s post. “He runnin outta money,” another wrote.

While Yung Miami and Diddy have been linked for over a year at this point, they’ve avoided putting labels on their relationship. Things hit their lowest point in April when the City Girls rapper revealed that they had broken up. In the months afterward, however, they continued to go out in public together. Diddy even brought Yung Miami as his date to the Met Gala.

At that event, he avoided questions about their relationship, but when pressed he answered: “We definitely go together real bad. She’s my date for the night, she’s incredible. We don’t put titles on it. Everybody wants us to put a title on it; we don’t put titles on it. This is like my best friend in the world, one of the most beautiful people God has blessed me to meet, and I’m blessed that she’s my date tonight.”

Cardi B And Offset Put The Rumors To Rest As She Joined Him During His Rolling Loud Set In Miami

The last time Cardi B and Offset shared the stage at Rolling Loud, the circumstances were a bit different. Back in December 2018, Offset crashed Cardi B’s set at Rolling Loud in Los Angeles after she’d reportedly filed for divorce. Although the move was criticized at the time as it came in the wake of the #MeToo movement and vocal critiques of “love bombing,” the bid was succesful; since then, Cardi and Set have been one of hip-hop’s highest-profile couples.

This time around, Cardi joined Offset at Rolling Loud Miami, where they performed the Migos hit “Motorsport” and their collab, “Clout.”

While the couple’s relationship has turned around in more recent years, that isn’t to say that it’s without its bumps — which are just as often generated by nosy fans looking for signs of new fractures. In June, fans believed that Offset accused Cardi of cheating, although from this writer’s perspective, it looked very much like a misinterpretation of Offset’s use of AAVE. The couple is due to appear together again along with their kids Kulture and Wave in Baby Shark’s Big Movie reprising the fishy versions of themselves from a previous episode that aired in the show’s last season. From what it looks like, their bond is as strong as ever, and the collaborative album they’ve been talking about releasing doesn’t seem to be in any particular danger of cancellation.
