During Beyoncé’s Renaissance show tonight as the first of her Los Angeles dates at SoFi Stadium, she brought DJ Khaled as a special guest to entertain and energize the crowd before her set even started.
And he too had some surprises in store. During DJ Khaled’s set, he brought out even more famous faces, including 2 Chainz, Wiz Khalifa, Roddy Ricch, Coi Leray, Offset, and Lil Wayne, to perform with him.
DJ Khaled treated the audience to some of his biggest songs, including “All I Do Is Win.” Wiz Khalifa played “Young, Wild, & Free,” as the two sung along to the carefree track.
Fans attending Beyoncé’s SoFi Stadium show tomorrow (Sept. 2) will also get a chance to see DJ Khaled as an opening act — possibly with new and/or returning special guests to join him. He had first revealed the news through Instagram.
“I’m telling you now GET THERE AT 7 PM!” DJ Khaled captioned his post from earlier this afternoon. “Trust me! History in the making!”
Check out some more clips from DJ Khaled’s opening set at Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour below.
Offset in the house too! Lil Wayne was the finale but his mic delay made him peace out early, not gonna post video of that. Beyoncé up next! Really fun stuff from DJ Khaled. pic.twitter.com/n9JiqTxQ6F
Trippie Redd is among the biggest rap ragers, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a soft spot. On his new single, “Closed Doors,” off his new album, A Love Letter To You 5, Trippie teams with Roddy Ricch to show off their more romantic sides. The official video for the track, which was directed by Cole Bennett, is a sweet bite-sized look at the lengths the pair will go to for their special ladies.
In the video, Trippie and Roddy visually shrink themselves down as a metaphor for how they are willing to step out of their superstar personas for their gals. Although Trippie is known for his signature grunge sound, he has no problems throwing himself into the song’s R&B sounds.
Trippee even pays homage to singer Lloyd’s 2004 song “Southside” as Trippie melodically raps, “I done popped a Perky, waitin’ on an Addy / Got us doin’ things we ain’t done before / F*ckin’ you in mansions, crib came with expansions / Doing dirty things behind closed doors / I got you Dior sight / Got you catchin’ feelings, we was so tight / That p*ssy good, I co-sign / We both end up doin’ dirty things behind closed doors.”
This small tribute was a stellar touch on the part of the producers of “Closed Doors,” Igor Mamet, Puku, Niketaz, and OneintheForest.
Roddy Ricch’s verse perfectly aligns with “Closed Doors”‘ theme, with him dedicating his stanza to his better half: “I love the way you deal with a nigga, that’s so anti / Knew it was real when you got my name tatted on your backside / You love my highs and my lows in the worst way / And you make every day I wake up feel like my birthday.”

Roddy Ricch took off in 2018 and hasn’t looked back since. He’s one of the younger artists from the West Coast looking to lead the way for years to come. However, just a few years in, the Compton rapper has been able to make songs with some of the biggest artists in music. Roddy Rich’s collaborations have made for some of his best work. He was able to make a song with the late Nipsey Hussle before he was murdered.
On the West Coast, you have YG, Tyga, Kendrick Lamar, and Vince Staples, to name a few. Like these artists, Roddy Ricch is next in line to be a star. However, he may already be looked at in the same light as his peers. Besides Kendrick, Roddy has the most Grammy nominations and wins. After collaborating with Mustard, the 24-year-old has continued making music with high-profile artists. Clearly, he gets the respect of his peers as he has been on plenty of features. Arguably, he’s one of the leaders of the new school. Let’s take a look at some of Roddy Rich’s biggest collabs.
Within a short time, DaBaby became one of the most beloved rappers in Hip Hop. He secured his first No. 1 record with “Rockstar.” This gave Roddy Ricch his second No. 1 song and another Grammy nomination. Just a couple of years in and success with songs like these have Roddy on many people’s radars.
There are not too many artists to do it like 50 Cent. The Queens rapper is a legend in Hip Hop. Although he does not make music as much anymore, his name on a record is still valuable. Before Pop Smoke’s untimely murder, the Get Rich or Die Tryin’ rapper believed the Brooklyn rapper was just like him. They joined forces for “The Woo” and tapped Roddy Ricch.
This Roddy Ricch collab put Roddy in an exclusive category. Pop Smoke was soaring to new heights, and with the guidance of 50 Cent, who knows what he could have been. Not many artists can say they were on the same song as the “Dior” rapper. Roddy Ricch can. Not too many artists can say they have a hit with 50 Cent. But Roddy Ricch can.
“Stunnaman” – Birdman ft. Roddy Ricch & Lil Wayne
Birdman will forever be a part of Hip Hop history. He and his brother, Slim, created one of the most powerful record labels in music. Before Roddy Ricch was born, Cash Money Records took over Hip Hop. In the late nineties and early 2000s, they were a force to be reckoned with. The label had Lil Wayne before he was a teenager and saw him become one of the best rappers Hip Hop has seen right before their eyes. With Wayne, Cash Money Records eventually added Young Money Records, which birthed the leaders of this generation in Drake and Nicki Minaj. On “Stunnaman,” Roddy Ricch finds himself amongst Hip Hop royalty rapping alongside Birdman and Wayne. There are not too many people bigger than these two in Hip Hop. This Roddy Ricch collab is a gem.
“Racks In The Middle” – Nipsey Hussle ft. Roddy Ricch & Hit-Boy
Hip Hop felt a void when Nipsey Hussle was murdered. His music, message, and spirit were something Hip Hop had never seen before. Roddy Ricch described his relationship with Nipsey and how “Racks in the Middle” came about on The Breakfast Club. He clearly valued his relationship with the Crenshaw rapper as he explains they were friends before music. Hit-Boy has been a go-to producer for years, and Roddy has already rapped over one of his beats early in his career. “Racks in the Middle” was the last song we heard from Nipsey before he died. It earned all three artists two Grammy nominations for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance. They won the latter at the 2020 Grammy Awards. This Roddy Rich collab will always be a highlight in his career.
“Pure Souls” – Kanye West ft. Roddy Ricch & Shenseea
There are not too many people, in general, bigger than Kanye right now. He makes headlines whenever he is out in public. His music remains a topic of conversation whenever he drops. For his Donda album, he tapped Roddy Ricch for “Pure Souls.” This Roddy Rich collab came as a surprise. This was big for both artists as they let go of their quick feud. After Ye posted a video of him urinating on one of his Grammy Awards, “The Box” rapper took to Instagram to disapprove of Kanye’s antics. The feud did not last long, as “Pure Souls” was born shortly thereafter.
“Cooped Up” – Post Malone
“Cooped Up” is one of the lead singles from Post Malone’s Twelve Carat Toothache album. Though it is early in his career, Roddy finds himself on another radio hit. Post Malone is one of the biggest stars in music today. “Cooped Up” is the first collaboration between these two. Roddy excels on the pop-rock-Hip Hop track showing his versatility. Joining forces with the likes of Post Malone only increases Roddy’s popularity across all audiences. This Roddy Ricch collab can be played in any setting.
“Ballin’” – Mustard
In 2019, Roddy Ricch and Mustard combined for two hit records, “Ballin’” and “High Fashion.” The former gave Roddy his first Grammy nomination of his career. Mustard already proved to be a hitmaker years before he linked up with Compton artist. This collaboration elevates Roddy’s resume as ”Ballin” may be the most important song in his catalog. He has Mustard to thank for that. The producer/artist is known for making great music with California artists, such as YG and Tyga. This Roddy Ricch collab was one of the best songs in 2019.
Gucci Mane is back with his brand new song, “Pissy,” and it features none other than Roddy Ricch and Nardo Wick to help deliver the attitude. The track is also produced by Avo No Sleep, Koncept-P, and Will No Sleep.
“Grandma raised me, I’m from the Westside where it get sticky, and my four wheels come with road kits / I got Elliott like I’m Missy, stack my bread up, cut the corners off, it ain’t no way you could diss me, b*tch / I got the yellow gold / I got the yellow stones and my wrist and ring / It look pissy,” Gucci raps alongside Roddy for the second chorus.
Throughout the track, the three rappers continue to showcase their extravagant possessions, women, and other vices. “Hey, put on them Daisy Dukes / Show me what that new Mercedes do / Real trap house, all the pots and pans come with residue,” Roddy adds in his verse.
Meanwhile, Nardo joins Gucci later in the track, as the two add, “They say we litty, uh, I say, ‘We ain’t lit enough’ / They say we did it, uh, I say, ‘We ain’t did enough.’”
Gucci Mane’s last project was his compilation record last year, so fans have been waiting for a possible new album — with this adding to the anticipation.

Roddy Ricch is currently in a child custody court battle and is being levied by accusations of being addicted to lean.
According to The Blast, Alexandra Kiser is seeking full custody of the three-year-old she parents with Roddy Ricch. In court, Kiser states the rapper has stopped financially supporting her, leading to her vacating a home he had provided for her.
Kiser presented that she has no income at the moment, contrasting to what she states is $10 million a year for the rapper.
“Since his birth, I alone, spend 98% of the time with him while Rodrick lives his life without any regard to his parental obligation or responsibility to spend time with Kadence,” Kiser mentioned in court. “Rodrick misses important holidays with him including this past holiday season. Instead, he took friends to Dubai and the Maldives on a pleasure trip. I was hurt to find out on Christmas Eve when he came back from his trip that he hadn’t gotten or planned anything for our son for Christmas.”
She also notes that Roddy Ricch has currently moved into a gated home and is looking for Kiser to move out of the home he provided.
Furthermore, Kiser stated “The Box” rapper is gang-affiliated, cited his arrest on a gun charge, and accused him of promethazine abuse, along with domestic abuse to her.
Alexandra asks for $20,000 a month in court once paternity is established through court procedures.
A few days ago, Gucci Maneannounced that he would be releasing a new single. From the teaser, it seemed to be hinting at the return of his old style. The single, titled “Pissy,” features Roddy Richh and Nardo Wick, and a teaser visual for the song was recently posted on Gucci Mane’s Instagram account. The clip included a sample from one of his hit songs, “Lemonade.” It also showed a transition from the original 2009 yellow-themed video to a more modern version featuring Roddy Ricch and Nardo Wick. Fans were excited about the possibility of the sample and left comments expressing their enthusiasm using lemon emojis.
The “Pissy” teaser wasn’t the first time that Gucci Mane has hinted at a return to form. He gave a glimpse of this in March with a teaser for his latest single “06 Gucci” featuring 21 Savage and DaBaby. In it, he recreated an old look by wearing an Atlanta Braves Jersey. The 17-year gap between the old and new looks was refreshing and showed the rapper’s growth. Interestingly, the “Pissy” release follows the same promotional strategy as the previous one.
Is “Pissy” Gucci Mane’s Return To Form?
The unexpected collaboration between Gucci Mane, Roddy Ricch, and Nardo Wick is a welcome surprise in the hip-hop scene of 2023. Gucci’s latest track, “Pissy,” showcases his tough demeanor as he raps about his luxurious lifestyle, cruising in a yellow car with a beautiful woman and adorned with yellow diamonds. “Big yellow Cuban on and it’s pissy / Walk big blue stones, like I’m Nipsey,” Gucci raps. “I pop champagne, ’til I’m tipsy / Still be spendin’ Ms in my sixties.”
As some listeners have pointed out, Roddy Ricch carries the song. It may technically be Gucci Mane’s song, but Roddy really delivers the goods. In fact, listening to it without knowing what it is, one could be forgiven for thinking Gucci is the feature. Regardless, it’s a banger. The trio also released a music video along with the track. It features the three rappers showing off their lavish lifestyles, with thick Cuban chains and huge pendants. What do you think of Gucci Mane’s new single? Let us know in the comments!
