[WATCH] Eddie Murphy Recalls Being Snowed In At Rick James’ House for 2 Weeks

The infamous stories of Rick James and the Murphy brothers, Eddie and Charlie, will forever be intertwined with The Dave Chappelle Show and his “Real Hollywood Stories”, but the living legend appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to explain how the 80s disco hit “Party All The Time” by Eddie Murphy feat. Rick James even came to fruition.

The Trading Places actor detailed how he ended up staying at James’ house in Buffalo past the time allotted to record the track due to a huge snowstorm.

“We were snowed in for two weeks,” Murphy explained. “We were supposed to go up for the weekend. I went up there to record ‘Party All The Time’ …maybe the most fun I ever had…one of my fondest memories.”

Eddie Murphy Was Snowed In At Rick James’ House While Recording “Party All The Time”

If there is anyone who has endless tales of Hollywood antics, it’s Eddie Murphy. The entertainment icon isn’t only known for his comedy skills and blockbusters on the silver screen; back in the day, he also released a single, “Party All The Time.” The track featured his good friend Rick James who Murphy has woven into several strange stories of pop culture’s past.

Murphy has been promoting his new film You People, starring Nia Long, Lauren London, and Jonah Hill. The actor dropped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! and shared a never-heard tale of being snowed in with James.

Murphy said in the mid-1980s, he and James initially scheduled a brief trip for the actor to record “Party All The Time.” It was all set for Murphy to stay at James’s home, but the weather prolonged his visit.

“We were snowed in for two weeks,” he said. It ended up being an unforgettable experience, with Murphy calling it “maybe the most fun I ever had.”

“I was supposed to go there for like one weekend, and we got snowed in, in Buffalo,” Murphy further stated. “It was like five feet of snow.”

Nicki Minaj Reveals The Release Date For Her Highly Anticipated Single, ‘Freaky Girl’

Barbz, rejoice! It appears we finally have a release date for Nicki Minaj‘s long-anticipated comeback single. “Freaky Girl,” which samples Rick James’ classic single, “Super Freak,” will arrive next month.

According to an Instagram post from Minaj herself, she plans to give the Barbz two gifts in August. On August 11, she will air a new episode of her radio show Queen Radio via Amazon’s Amp app. On the following day, August 12, she will release the new single.

Minaj teased the single earlier this month via a clip on social media. The song is a catchy, randy cut, on which, she raps, “I can lick it, I can ride it while you slippin’ and slidin’/ I can do all them little tricks and keep the d*ck up inside it / You can smack it, you can grip it, you can go down and kiss it / And every time he leave me alone he always tell me he miss it.”

Ahead of the upcoming single, Minaj has taken to Twitter to tease a new alter ego, Nick James.

“#NickJames is coming to do what the girls SHOULD’VE done,” she said. “#NickJames is coming to show the girls why they should’ve just sat there & ate their foods. #NickJames is coming to show the boys how to REALLY gag the girls. Pauz #NickJames is coming to restore hope in mankind.”
