Simone Biles put together another incredible Olympics performance over the last couple of weeks during the Paris games. She went on to add another four medals to her previous collection of 10 overall, which included seven golds. After it was all set and done, the Columbus, Ohio native snagged another three golds in addition to a silver. The constant theme throughout these 2024 events for her and Team USA was that it was the “redemption tour”. They certainly accomplished their mission, putting their respective country back on top in the sport of gymnastics.

While the whole U.S. was cheering for Simone, so was her biological mother, Shanon. In fact, she even held a backyard party to celebrate her run this year. You may be wondering, “‘why was she not in attendance?’”. Well, since about the age of three, Shanon was not able to care for Simone due to a troubling addiction to drugs and alcohol. Her, along with her siblings, were placed into foster care. Then, at the age of six, Shanon’s dad (Simone’s grandpa), Ron Biles, and his wife Nellie Cayetano Biles, took them in.

Simone has constantly referred to them as her actual parents and overall, her and Shanon’s relationship has been nearly nonexistent since then. However, shortly after the games, Shanon is hoping that they can reconnect. She sat down with The Daily Mail to express these feelings and is waiting for Simone to decide what she wants to do. “I would like to make amends with Simone personally. Boldy James & The Alchemist Stay Hot In 2024 With Reunion On “10 Pints”

We can view mainstream hip-hop artists this year as having a major return to form. Metro Boomin and Future put out two huge albums in a one-month span. Eminem dropped his first album in four years with The Death of Slim Shady. Of course, you cannot talk about rap in 2024 without mentioning the big-time beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar. But a side of the genre that seems to always remain consistent is the underground scene. Last year, they carried the superstars for the most part and over these seven months, artists in this space have been successful once again. One of them who is contributing heavily is Boldy James because he’s dropping stuff like “10 Pints” with great regularity.

Both of his projects, Penalty of Leadership and Across The Tracks, are going to be on a lot of publications lists for best albums at the end of the year. Each one featured incredible production as well thanks to the likes of Nicholas Craven and Conductor Williams. While we love these pairings for the Detroit MC, there is another beat master out there who’s an even better match arguably. That would be The Alchemist and he’s on “10 Pints”. This marks their first work together since their 2021 album Super Tecmo Bo.

There’s something about Boldy over a guitar-laced instrumental that just makes sense. A source close to US Weekly revealed about two weeks ago that the two stars were considering taking their fling public. Furthermore, sources allege that he and Kim were a thing for about a year. That would mean Odell Beckham Jr. and his ex and baby mama Lauren Wood were still together when the rumors began.

According to People, OBJ and Lauren Wood split back in September. The Baltimore Raven and Skims co-founder were also seen hanging out during a Super Bowl party. All of this is still developing, so it will be interesting to see what happens going forward with them. The Fugees Reunite For What Could Be The Final Time At The Roots Picnic

Pras Michel, Lauryn Hill, and Wyclef Jean of The Fugees all reunited to perform at the 2023 Roots Picnic in Philadelphia on Saturday night. The performance comes as Pras Michel faces 20 years in prison for his connection to the 1 Malaysia Development Berhad scandal. He is accused of pumping millions of dollars from Malaysian businessman Low Taek Jho into Barack Obama’s 2012 reelection campaign.

On stage Saturday, the group performed a six-song set that included “Killing Me Softly” as well as “Fu-Gee-La,” and more of their hits. Depending on the sentencing of Pras, it could be the final time they all take the stage together.

While Pras was in attendance for the event, some users on social media noted that he didn’t appear in the best of spirits. Responding to one clip of the show, a fan wrote on Twitter: “Damn Pras looks kinda sad… Probably not feelin right after everything that happened recently.”

Pras was found guilty of conspiracy to defraud the US, witness tampering, and acting as an unregistered agent of a foreign government back in April. A sentencing date wasn’t set at the time, but Pras’ lawyer, David Kenner, told reporters the team remains confident mistrial motions will work out for them. “We are extremely disappointed in that result. But are very, very confident in the ultimate outcome of this case,” Kenner said at the time, according to CNN. “If we do move to a sentencing hearing I remain very confident we will certainly appeal this case. This is not over.”

The Fugees Perform Together

The Fugees previously attempted to schedule a tour in honor of the 25th anniversary of the release of The Score. A first tour was canceled as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. Plans for a rescheduling were later put on hold indefinitely due to Pras’ legal troubles.

Damar Hamlin Reunites With Bills Teammates

Tomorrow (January 16) will officially mark two weeks since Damar Hamlin suffered one of the scariest injuries that the sports world has ever seen. The world was witness to the injury occurring in the first quarter of Monday Night Football.

In the highly-anticipated match-up between the Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals, the Bills’ Safety frighteningly went into cardiac arrest on the field. The 24-year-old was subsequently taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. They were initially listing him in critical condition.

Ever since, we have gradually been receiving updates on his condition as they become available. On January 7, screenshots of him on FaceTime with Meek Mill and Michael Rubin began showing him in good spirits while still in the hospital.

Last Monday (January 9), reports began circulating that Hamlin was being released. “UC Health Center physicians announce that #Bills S Damar Hamlin has been released from the hospital and is back in Buffalo. WOW,” writes NFL insider Ian Rapoport in a tweet.

On Saturday (January 14), one of his teammates, Linebacker Matthew Milano, took to his Instagram account to share a photo of their first reunion with Hamlin. The visit reportedly took place at the Bills’ Orchard Park practice facility in Buffalo.

The following day, Hamlin took to his Twitter account to voice his support for his teammates. “My heart is with my guys as they compete today! Supporting from home as I focus on my recovery. Nothing I want more than to be out there with them! LFG #BillsMafia,” reads his tweet.

Of course, the Bills are facing off against the Miami Dolphins in an AFC wild card game today. The match started at 1:00PM EST.
