Cam’ron Shares “Weird” Text Jay-Z Sent Him After B-Sides 2 Concert

During a recent episode of Cam’ron’s new YouTube show Talk With Flee, he discussed Jay-Z’s 2019 B-Sides 2 concert. He recalled joining the Roc Nation founder for a performance of “Welcome to New York,” as well as a “weird” conversation he had with him after the fact.

“He texts me, ‘Yo, that was dope last night.’ [I replied,] ‘That was really dope, I appreciate you guys putting this sh*t to bed.’ He was like, ‘Yeah, man. See how much sh*t we can do when n***s stop acting like there’s fake beef out here. That sh*t slows sh*t down,’” Cam remembered. He continued, revealing that Jay-Z’s text left him confused. “I didn’t know how to take that. I didn’t know what he meant when he text that. I replied, ‘Well, no matter what, you, Dame and Biggs gave me the opportunity to feed my family legally, so I don’t have no problem with it,’” he said.

“But inside, I’m like, ‘Why would he even text that?’ I don’t know. Even to this day, I don’t have no problem but I thought that was weird,” Cam’ron added. He went on to discuss his relationship with Jay-Z nowadays and reveal whether or not he could ever see a collab in their future. “I haven’t seen or spoke to JAY-Z since then,” he admitted. “I respect the hustler in JAY-Z — pause — I respect the music he does. Are we good? I hope we good! I don’t know. If I see him and we speak, cool. If not, it’s not gonna make or break what I got going on.”

“As far as a collab going on, I dn’t know what a collab is,” he also added. “I’m not doing music full-time. Obviously, he’s not doing music full-time. So that’s not really on my plate right now but I do respect everything [he] got going on businesswise.”

Turk Admits Hot Boys’ Latest Reunion Started Out “Tense”

Earlier this month, the Hot Boys came together for a reunion at Lil Weezyana Fest in New Orleans. The performance was their first together in roughly 15 years, according to Complex, and featured several of their biggest hits. According to Turk, however, it wasn’t all smooth sailing despite what fans saw onstage.

During a recent interview with B High ATL, he reflected on the performance, revealing that it was tense at first. While one might expect this to be due to issues between some of the group’s members, he claims it was simply due to the fact that they hadn’t performed together in such a long time. “When I walked in, it was a warm welcome and [Mannie] Fresh and them was getting the DJs and getting the list together,” he explained. “We’d had the list prior to it but of course it changed up a little bit. But everything went smooth because we so professional. It’s like man, we been here before.”

“Then when Wayne came in the room, we got straight to it. Came in, dapped everybody, hugs and it just was straight to the business,” Turk continued. “We sung the songs and it was tense. It was tense. I gotta give y’all the real rundown and not on no stuck up sh*t, but it was just a ‘man we ain’t do this sh*t in a long time’ type tense.”

“Everybody just being extra careful, being respectful to each other and shit because like I said, we haven’t all been in the room with each other,” he concluded. “But by the time it got to ‘Back That Azz Up,’ it was the nostalgia and we felt what the fans felt! Lil Wayne Reunites The Hot Boys With Stellar Show At Lil Weezyana Festival

Lil Wayne finally reunited the Hot Boys (himself, B.G., Juvenile, and Turk) during his Lil Weezyana Fest at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana on Saturday (November 2). Per Complex, it was the Cash Money legends’ first time performing together in over 15 years. Their show, joined by Birdman and Mannie Fresh, followed a set from the Big Tymers and individual sets from each Hot Boy (excluding Tunechi, who performed a couple of songs with the guests), running through smashers like “Bling Bling,” “I Need A Hot Girl,” and “Neighborhood Superstar.” This was a long time in the making, and fans treasured every single second.

Elsewhere during the Lil Weezyana Fest, Lil Wayne also reflected on not getting selected for the Super Bowl halftime show in his home city next year. “That moment, I said to myself I want to be on stage at the Super Bowl in front of my mom and I worked my a** off to get that f***ing position,” he told the crowd. “It was ripped away from me. But this motherf***ing moment right here… they can’t take that, man. They can’t take that from me.”

What’s more is that Lil Wayne received an honor from New Orleans that wasn’t a Super Bowl halftime show, but it was a show of love, gratitude, and legacy that could transcend it. Mayor LaToya Cantrell presented him with the key to the city. “We love you,” she remarked. “This is your city and you matter for generations for what you’ve done, what you’re doing, and what you will do.” In addition, Master P announced that the “Let The Beat Build” will have his own days in NOLA (February 6 and 7) and that he will be among the first inductees in the planned New Orleans Walk Of Fame.

Meanwhile, fellow Cash Money alums Juvenile and Mannie Fresh said that they would be down to join Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime show in New Orleans next year if they get the call. Maybe Lil Wayne would have a different answer considering his Drake friendship, but in any case, there’s a lot of excitement for the Hot Boys and other NOLA icons to get their flowers.

Nelly Performs With St. Lunatics Despite Their Ongoing Legal Dispute

Nelly, J-Kwon, and Chingy of St. Lunatics put their differences aside to reunite for a performance at the American Music Awards 50th Anniversary Special on Sunday. On stage, they performed several hit songs including “Air Force Ones,” “Ride Wit Me,” “Tipsy,” “Hot In Herre,” and more. Despite the reunion, St. Lunatics member Ali Jones was not present, making good on a promise he made in 2023 to never perform with Nelly again.

St. Lunatics’ lawsuit against Nelly is in relation to the making of his iconic 2000 album, Country Grammar. The group filed a filed their copyright infringement case against him, last month, alleging that he never credited them for their work on the effort. Nelly had joked about the lawsuit while promoting the AMAs show. “STL INVADES @amas …!!! An anyone who has a problem with that ‘Sue’ me…!!!” he wrote on Instagram.

As for Ali Jones’ refusal to perform with Nelly, he explained his reasoning during an interview with VladTV. “I watched it for 20 years and I’m the butt of the joke because it took me 20 years to realize it. I could put a never, ever behind it will I ever hit the stage or do anything with him. He has no real raw good intentions for others,” he said in 2023. “Not for us and we’ve all sat together and searched hard to try to find a time that didn’t benefit him. He got $50 million, I’m happy for him. That’s what he wants. He wants a billion.”

The NFL is reportedly going to select Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium as the location for Super Bowl LXII in 2028, according to the Sports Business Journal. The news has Outkast fans elated on social media, as rumors that the duo could be reuniting for a performance at the Halftime Show for the game.”

When 2Cool2Blog shared the news on Instagram, hip-hop fans quickly brought up the legendary Atlanta duo, as caught by HipHopDX. “Outkast gotta be ready for this !!,” one user wrote. Another joked: “Andre 3k Flute show loading.” Others weren’t as optimistic. “FYI Andre 3000 turned down the Super Bowl as he didn’t wanna do an Outkast condensed set. I know the fact outrage didn’t know this and gonna act like this the first SB in Atlanta,” one wrote. More suggested other artists such as Future and Young Thug, among others.

The rumors come after Andre 3000 released his debut studio album, New Blue Sun, last year. While the project saw him venturing away from hip-hop and into ambient jazz, Andre did tell CBS Mornings at the time of its release that part of him still wants to do another Outkast album. When asked whether Big Boi pressures him to do so, he responded: “No, to be honest. No but I think because he knows who I am and knows what gets me going, knows what inspires me, knows when I’m excited about something. So I think in that sense, he’s never pushed that issue. But I’m sure like, I want another OutKast album. Yeah, like in my mind – but see, that’s the thing. That’s the human side. I want an OutKast album a long time ago.”

Even though there’s still a lot of controversy around her and her on-and-off-again boo Blueface, it’s still been very wholesome to see this process and enjoy a more positive outlook for once. Moreover, in a new social media clip, Junior adorably kisses his mom, and one of the most liked comments in the Instagram post below sums it up pretty well. “He missed her for real. He knew she was gone. Damn.” Amid a lot of other distressing and tragic headlines these days, this is at least a heartening moment in a typically more salacious story.

Furthermore, this is a moment that many fans can be happy for regardless of context, as Chrisean Rock’s other online antics have tarnished her name for some. But whatever happened in the past doesn’t justify people attacking her right now or making light of her circumstances and emotional return home. As for the little one, the Baddies star recently revealed that she changed his name. His middle name is now Jesus and his last name is Porter, officially connecting him to his dad Blueface by name.

According to him, it was as simple as reaching out. “You know [I reached out and said I missed her]. [We were on the low for] a little while – we just been talking. That’s my boo,” he told the outlet. Trippie then revealed whether or not they have any music collaborations coming up.

Clipse Confirm Their Long-Awaited Reunion Album Is Dropping This Year

Clipse have confirmed that their long-awaited reunion album, Let God Sort Em Out, is dropping at some point this year. Pusha T and No Malice revealed the information, as well as some other details about the project, during an interview with Rolling Stone’s Andre Gee published on Wednesday. For the piece, the two rappers played Gee the Pharrell-produced project in the studio.

Rolling Stone makes several revelations about it throughout. For starters, they reference a Nas feature that Push spent years trying to land. That information comes after he teased a mystery feature during a recent appearance on the Ghetto Runways podcast. Additionally, the album will include a noteworthy sample throughout. “The whole album is laced with a tag of a woman saying, ‘this is culturally inappropriate’; they tell me it was originally going to be a watermark for advances, but they liked it so much they kept it,” Gee wrote.

Clipse premiered the first song from the project, “Birds Don’t Sing,” earlier this year. On it, Push addresses their mother, rapping: “I loved you met Nige’, hate that he won’t remember you,” while Malice turns the attention to their father: “I can hear your voice now, I can feel your presence/Askin’ ‘Should I rap again?,’ you gave me your blessing.” Speaking with Rolling Stone, Push reflected on how they lost both of their parents within three months of each other. “It’s been tough,” he said. “You never really get used to it. The only soothing feeling that I get out of it is knowing how good of a place we all were in — my mom, my dad, myself. But that’s about it.”

B.G. & Turk To Put Their Beef Aside Thanks To Lil Wayne In A Surprising Turn Of Events

Lil Wayne has seemingly pulled off the impossible. According to HipHopDX, the Louisiana rapper is hosting another Lil’ Weezyana Fest, this time in New Orleans at the Smoothie King Center on November 2. Tickets are going to go on sale Friday, September 6 at 8 a.m. PT on Ticketmaster. Cash Money label mate Mannie Fresh and Rob49 are two of the night’s performers, with more special guests coming soon. However, easily the biggest storyline from this announcement is the fact that this will be a Hot Boys reunion. That means that B.G. and Turk are supposedly on good terms now.

This is a major plot twist, especially considering just how ugly things were between them. If you remember, the Hot Boys were supposed to link back up at ESSENCE earlier this summer. However, due to some “business issues”, Turk was a no show, prompting B.G. to put him on blast on an Instagram Live. The real reason(s) as to why they were beefing are still unknown, however, when the former responded to the latter’s comments, he was bringing up the fact that he didn’t want to be disrespected.

Overall, it still feels like things could take a turn at any minute, but if this remains true, then we are happy to see the Hot Boys getting the band back together.

Pusha T Teases Mystery Feature On New Clipse Album And Excites Fans With Release Timeline

Last month, Pusha T seemed to confirm that his reunion with his brother No Malice is already done; in other words, the new Clipse album is coming out soon. However, during a recent appearance on the Ghetto Runways podcast, he shared that there’s technically just one thing that they’re waiting for. “I’m so excited about this new Clipse album,” the Virginia MC expressed. “That’s what I’m on right now. It’s absolutely finished. Just waiting on a feature.” “Just waiting on the feature, bro,” he told the camera, thus sparking a whole lot of fan speculation around which legendary rapper he could’ve addressed.

From what Twitter reactions indicate, folks mostly spoke on the possibility of two titans on this new Clipse album: Jay-Z or Kendrick Lamar. Pusha T’s last collaboration with Hov was 2022’s excellent “Neck and Wrist” off Push’s It’s Almost Dry. He and Kendrick Lamar linked up to absolutely generational results on 2013’s Nosetalgia off T’s My Name Is My Name, so either way, fans would be super excited to see an update to these collaborative histories. Pusha previously teased features such as Nas, John Legend, and Stove God Cooks, which are all very exciting.
