50 Cent Fiercely Claps Back At Critics Of His Vegas Residency

50 Cent is currently living it up in Las Vegas amid his residency there, which hasn’t had the most glowing press run as of late. Moreover, you might’ve heard about a viral TikTok that called his show “terrible,” which inspired a lot of conversations about the quality of the concerts among some of his longtime foes or haters. Well, it turns out that the G-Unit mogul heard about this, and seems to have responded via a hilarious mid-show rant that addressed the general critiques of his residency performances. Overall, he didn’t seem to take it very seriously, but it’s a funny commentary about what standards we hold performers in these spaces to.

“[They] supposed to say some s**t like, ’50 be doing this s**t,’” 50 Cent remarked before putting his hand up and down to the crowd. “That’s what I’ma do. You won’t say the music was bad. Man, f**k all that, man. What, you thought I was going to be out here roller-blading like Usher and s**t? I seen some s**t, Chris Brown was flying in Africa. I don’t have records that require me to fly in Africa.” To be fair, the crowd singing along to Fif’s “Disco Inferno” after this speech disproves some of the criticism that went his way.

Of course, Ja Rule had to step in to clown 50 Cent for these critiques, but it seems like it was still a very successful and beloved run. Some more celebrities ended up supporting the Vegas residency, including a meet-and-greet appearance from Amanda Bynes. The interaction between her and 50 sparked some memes online, as well as some general concern and inquiry about their behavior towards one another. But we’re sure plenty of other stars made it as well.

At the end of the day, we’ll see just how successful and acclaimed 50 Cent’s Vegas residency will go down as in the history books in due time, so let’s give the discourse some space to breathe. Elsewhere, he’s got some other stuff to develop on the horizon, including a potential collaborative album with none other than Eminem. It’s a promising idea!

Ja Rule Trolls 50 Cent Over Scathing Reviews Of His Las Vegas Residency

Ja Rule had a field day on New Year’s Day in response to the negative reviews of 50 Cent’s residency in Las Vegas. 50’s longtime rival shared a clip of blogger Jennifer Gay slamming the entire show in a scathing review on social media. “The sound was balanced poorly making it impossible to hear the performance,” she wrote in part. “His hypemen were unrelenting and overbearing making it difficult to hear anything but their echos.” Sharing Gay’s video on X (formerly Twitter), Ja added with laughing emojis, “Not the worst…”

Ja’s response quickly began circulating on social media. “The fact that you, in a sober state of mind, chose to engage in trolling your arch-nemesis at the beginning of 2025 can only be interpreted as a sign of insanity. I eagerly anticipate a response from @50cent in the form of a ‘killshot’,” one user wrote. Another added: “Where is your residency? At least he booked, busy and getting paid.” When one user brought up Ja’s own Fyre Festival disaster, he shot back: “See why you bringing up old sh*t,” with more laughing emojis.

The latest post is the second time Ja’s posted about 50’s live shows in recent days. Last week, he addressed a rumor that he had bought tons of tickets to the event to make the arena appear empty. “[cap emojis] You believe this dumb s**t?” Ja Rule said of the rumor. “Like I said before I got 10K for ANYONE who can produce this footage a photo s**t what city/venue did this said show take place??? @50cent is a fat f***ing LIAR.”

50 Cent’s Las Vegas Residency Is Being Clowned Online After A TikToker Called His Show “Terrible”

50 Cent is one of the most legendary artists in hip-hop, and he remains a pioneer when it comes to the genre. At this stage in his career, Fif could have easily ridden into the sunset, never to be heard from again. However, he has decided to continue working and performing for his fans. In fact, Fif currently has his very own Las Vegas Residency which has been going on for some time now. These residencies are a great way for artists to maintain a steady yet high income.

Overall, fans were pretty excited when they found out that 50 Cent was going to have his own show. Given everything he has done in his career, he certainly deserves this kind of accolade. Unfortunately, it would appear as though fans are not too fond of his new residency. Some criticisms of the show became apparent this week when a woman took to TikTok with some not-so-savory opinions of the show. As you can see down below, the woman was pretty scathing in her assessment.

50 Cent Gets Some Disappointing Reviews

While the performances sounded fairly authentic to the album versions, a lot of the criticism was dedicated to 50’s lackluster stage presence. In the clip above, you can see that Fif typically just stands in one spot and bounces his hands up and down. There were numerous instances of this to the point where it actually became quite humorous. Having said that, some are now contemplating whether or not they want to check out the show in the future.

50 Cent is someone who is always online, so one has to wonder if he has seen the criticism and whether or not he will respond. It would be pretty easy for him to switch things up as far as his moves are concerned. However, as far as an entire revamp of the show, that might not be in the cards right now. Either way, fans who are curious about the show will just have to go see for themselves.

50 Cent kicked off his Las Vegas residency this Friday (December 27), and he already garnered praise and love from even the most random of celebrity corners. Moreover, TMZ obtained footage (which you can see by clicking the “Via” link down below) of Amanda Bynes hitting up his show on Saturday night (December 28) at PH Live inside the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. She even met Fif during his backstage meet and greet and reportedly got to speak to him about a screenplay that she’s working on. The former actress is apparently a big fan of 50, and reportedly enjoyed the concert to the fullest and even interacted with fans.

What’s more is that, according to TMZ, this particular Vegas residency show (the run of which is titled “50 Cent: In Da Club”) was filmed by CNN as part of their upcoming New Year’s Eve special. In addition, it seems like the G-Unit mogul will host his own celebration for the night as part of this run of shows, which is pretty exciting news. It should make for a special occasion and a lot of fun, especially considering fans’ excitement for what may come down the line. He and Eminem recently hinted that they would love to make a collab album, so we’ll see if their statements actually manifest into this.

Apart from this 50 Cent Vegas residency appearance, Amanda Bynes keeps a pretty low profile as she’s moving on from her celebrity limelight and just enjoying her life. She’s been through a lot of struggle and moved past it in a heartening way, so to see her enjoying a nice outing like this is a treat.

Meanwhile, 50 Cent became fully focused on this Vegas run, which broke up the often wild series of Diddy comments and other antics that he usually engages in. If you got a ticket, we envy you. 50 Cent Is Reportedly Making So Much Money For A Short Las Vegas Residency Launching In 2025

50 Cent probably isn’t making new music anytime soon, but fans of his older material appear to be in for a treat next year, as 50 apparently has a Las Vegas residency on the way.

TMZ reports that per “Vegas sources familiar with the situation,” 50 has secured a deal to play six shows at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino’s PH Live venue, starting in December 2025 and including a New Year’s Eve celebration. For the residency (titled 50 Cent: In Da Club), the rapper will reportedly walk away with $15 million.

The show, 50’s first-ever Vegas residency, will apparently “be unlike anything he’s ever done before,” and TMZ adds, “We’re told fans can expect a fresh experience while still hearing all their favorite hits from Fifty, including classics ‘In Da Club,’ ‘Candy Shop,’ and ’21 Questions.’”

Meanwhile, 50 recently said about his hesitation to make new music, “A lot of the music, if you listen to the music that’s out right now, I have to tap into my stupid. I have to tap into the stupid side of me to write the right thing when it comes time to write the music. This is why I haven’t created as much content as I was creating in the past, and I started going toward the film production and development of these projects. Because I think I can impact things in a bigger way through that.”

50 Cent appears to have closed out his touring days with a bang, making his way around the world on his critically acclaimed “Final Lap” tour. During a recent interview with Haute Living, however, he hinted that he still might be up for performing under the right set of circumstances. The outlet asked him whether or not he’d ever consider committing to a Las Vegas residency. At first, he was extremely skeptical. Fortunately, he seemed to come around to the idea eventually.

“How much of a residency can I commit to when I have multiple film projects coming?” he asked. “Not just the television stuff, but opportunities for me to star in feature films, too. I’m having success in film; my career in television mirrors my music career.”

So, [now in particular] I have to seriously balance out and schedule things,” he continued. The writer then mentioned how performances are typically spaced out by weeks or months for Vegas residencies. Fif says that if that were the case, he might actually be willing to consider it. “That would actually be fun; that would work for me to do it that way,” he claimed.

The 10-show run is scheduled to kick off on December 30 and wrap up just after Valentine’s Day 2025. Tickets will be available for purchase starting on August 28, and for obvious reasons, fans can’t wait.

“Janet Jackson is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in pop music,” Bobby Reynolds, senior vice president of AEG Presents Las Vegas, says of the announcement. “We could not be more thrilled to close out 2024 with her return to the Las Vegas Strip and her venue debut at our award-winning Resorts World Theatre, and to kick off 2025 with a run of sure-to-be-unforgettable shows. This is a residency fans won’t want to miss.”

Amid the exciting news, The Jasmine Brand reports that Jackson has signed a $13 million deal for the residency. Sources add that she was “jumping for joy,” and that she’s looking forward to her “fresh and dynamic” performances. Of course, this is no small payday, though some social media users argue that she deserved more. This is up for debate, but reportedly, it “blew the London residency offer out of the water.”

Well, it turns out it was all true, as the residency, dubbed simply Janet Jackson: Las Vegas, has now been officially announced. Currently, there are two shows set for December, two for January, and six for February.

Ne-Yo was born in Camden, Arkansas, but after relocating, he soon became a proud representative of Las Vegas, Nevada, a place he continues to call home. Moreover, he’s been rocking Sin City as of late with his Human Love Rebellion residency, a concert series that set the stage for a very special honor in his career. Moreover, the city’s Mayor Carolyn Goodman surprised the “2 Million Secrets” singer at his Wednesday show (August 7) and honored him with the Key to the City. Not only that, but Goodman also declared that Vegas will celebrate Ne-Yo Day on August 7 from this year onward.

“Yours has extra jewels [compared] to the one we gave Usher two months ago. You’re homegrown, my dear man … Congratulations!” the mayor told Ne-Yo two songs into his set. Goodman also remarked on his prowess, talent, and success as a musician, as well as his philanthropic efforts that have supported Las Vegas. While the 44-year-old still catches salacious headlines these days, such as dating rumors between his ex-wife and Maino, his music and art continues to speak louder than these elements… for better or worse.

“Thank you,” Ne-Yo emotionally told the crowd chanting his name as he accepted the Key to the City in a leopard print get-up. “I don’t want to get emotional, I’m trying to be fly. I can’t cry in this suit. Thank you to our lovely mayor, thank you to the city of Las Vegas, thank you all for being here.” This follows more concerning and divisive stories surrounding this legacy and career. He recently faced accusations from a former partner alleging assault and child neglect, though this hasn’t resulted in any sort of conclusion or verdict at press time.

But we know that Ne-Yo is in a very different, polygamous state right now when it comes to his love life. While there are still plenty of unanswered questions, these controversies exist within an otherwise beloved and continually successful trek as an artist. We’ll see what happens next, but for now, we can celebrate his artistry and acknowledge the great things he’s done for the city of Las Vegas. Jennifer Lopez Could Lose Las Vegas Residency Over Poor Ticket Sales: Report

Jennifer Lopez is reportedly at risk of losing her Las Vegas residency due to poor ticket sales for her upcoming concert tour, according to a report from The New York Post. She had been nearing a blockbuster $90 million deal to perform in the city. A source for the outlet notes that MGM often doesn’t hand out a deal that big to an artist coming off a struggling tour.

“MGM is watching her not doing well on the road. They are very nervous. It’s pretty rare you have a poor tour and then go to Vegas,” the person said. Rather than $90 million, the source argued that somewhere between $600,000 to $650,000 for fewer shows would be a more realistic offer. Another source confirmed that a deal has yet to be signed and negotiations are still ongoing.

The drama surrounding her Las Vegas residency comes after the release of her ninth studio album, This Is Me… Now, a sequel to her 2002 project, This Is Me… Then. She confirmed after dropping the new album that she’s considering retirement from music. “The truth is I don’t even know if I’ll ever make another album after this. It’s such the kind of quintessential kind of Jennifer Lopez J.Lo project and I really feel very fulfilled, so they really will be collector’s items at a certain point,” Lopez told ET. “Don’t tell Benny [Medina] that that’s what I’m thinking — this might be my last album ever. I feel like it’s the end of a kind of an era for me and the beginning of a new one, so I would never say never, but right now I feel like I really put my heart and soul into this and I’m very excited and it definitely took a lot out of me.”
