Beyoncé Seems To Have Sent Out Mysterious ‘Winter Renaissance’ Holiday Cards, Leaving Fans Curious

While we still don’t have the visuals to accompany Beyoncé’s seventh studio album, Renaissance, fans are suspecting that they may arrive soon. Over the past week, it appears Bey sent friends, family, and a selected group of fans special holiday cards.

On the cards was an image of the “Break My Soul” hitmaker dressed in a white cowboy hat, with a matching bustier and fluffy sleeves. The front of the cards also contained text reading “Winter Renaissance.”

Inside the cards read “Wishing you and your family the most joyous holiday season. Love Beyoncé and the Parkwood team.”

Of course, as the cards began to surface online, the Beyhive was sent abuzz, and immediately began sharing fan theories.

Some believe that these cards are a hint the music videos could premiere any day now. Some also believe that this may be leading up to another album.

“ok so it’s winter renaissance meaning that the visuals will he coming in winter & summer renaissance is the tour and they’re all under the renaissance project but she also has hints for the next alleged country project (thus the cowboy hat),” said one Twitter user.

Another Twitter user believes Bey may be re-releasing Renaissance during the winter months.

Because it’s going to be a renaissance of the renaissance album over these winter months where we get a deluxe edition AND the visuals…

Vanessa De Luca, editor of The Root, shared an image of a card she received, and confirmed that all that arrived was a holiday card, “But always nice to be thought of,” she said in a comment.

Beyoncé’s representatives did not immediately return our request for comment.

Here’s A Timeline Of Beyoncé’s Best Moments Of 2022

Beyoncé’s cultural impact has spanned nearly two decades, but it has never been more evident than in 2022. The multi-hyphenate brought the world to a screeching halt after releasing her seventh studio album, Reinassance, this past July, sparking national debates about topics like the “Great Resignation,” the Black roots of House music, and more.

2022 has been quite the year for Queen Bey. Aside from releasing her highly anticipated album, the singer starred in a new campaign with Tiffany & Co. earlier this year. She also achieved the record for having the most Grammy nominations ever — tieing with her Jay-Z for 88 nominations. Here are the three biggest moments from Beyoncé for 2022.

Beyoncé Releases Her Seventh Album, Renaissance

Beyoncé brought the world to a screeching halt with her latest album, Renaissance, an ode to House music, which was heavily influenced by Black and queer artists. The album sparked national debates about burnout in the workplace and the Great Resignation, making everyone want to “release their jobs.” The pop singer has yet to release the visuals for the project, causing considerable frustration within the “Hive.”

She is also rumored to be gearing up for a tour in 2023, guess we’ll have to wait and see.

2022 Oscars Performance

For her Oscar performance of King Richard‘s “Be Alive,” Beyoncé hit the streets of Compton, performing at a local tennis court. Surrounded by dancers with glowing, yellow ensembles and the signature hair beads that defined Venus and Serena’s early careers, the singer brings the song to life. It had been the first performance from Beyoncé in over five years, and the singer got to have her daughter, Blue Ivy, right alongside her, bringing the moment full circle.

The over-the-top performance was peak Beyoncé, which means sheer perfection, and we should expect nothing less.

Queen Bey Celebrates The Big 4-0

Along with dropping an album and racking up several nominations, Beyoncé hit another milestone this year — turning 40. The pop singer celebrated her 40th birthday this past September and in this new stage in he life, Beyoncé said she is working to “obliterate old boundaries” as she heads into uncharted territory.

“My wish is for my 40s to be fun and full of freedom,” she told Harper’s Bazaar last month. “I want this next decade to be about celebration, joy, and giving and receiving love. I want to give all the love I have to the people who love me back.”

Beyoncé Is Hosting A ‘Club Renaissance’ Secret Show In Los Angeles This Weekend

Forget the visuals, Beyoncé fans are about to have a new obsession over the next couple of days. She’s the latest artist to partner with Amazon Music for a special performance. However, while the Amazon Music Live series has included names like 2 Chainz and Megan Thee Stallion, Queen Bey is apparently looking to do something a little different, inspired by the concept behind her latest album, Renaissance.

Since the album takes inspiration from the underground club scene of the late ’70s and ’80s that spawned the electronic dance music movement, Beyoncé will be hosting a Club Renaissance event in Los Angeles this Saturday, December 17, and Sunday, December 18. And like the old raves that influenced her house-and-techno-tinged album, the location will be kept a closely guarded secret. It’s a 21+ event (sorry, Blue Ivy, it’s past your bedtime) and the non-transferrable tickets will be limited to one per person.

While details are secretive, there may be a possibility to get a preview of the rumored stadium tour that Bey’s supposedly been preparing for. Among the rumors are reports that she’s been requiring her crew to forego alcohol and do periodic check-ins to ensure a safe work environment. Since Club Renaissance is an Amazon Music event, though, don’t be surprised if at least one of the performances live streams on the app.

Beyoncé, Kate Bush, And 2022’s Other Best Music Moments Get Broken Down In A New Top 5 Video

We’re at the point in the year where it’s not quite done yet, but done enough to start looking back on everything that happened. That’s especially true of music, as year-end list season is in full swing (Uproxx recently ran our top albums and songs of the year lists, for example). 2022 was busy, but in a new “Top 5” video, host Jackie Powell condenses the past few months into five key moments.

She begins with one of the year’s biggest album releases: Beyoncé’s Renaissance. The comeback project was Queen Bey’s first album since 2016’s iconic Lemonade and the follow-up has earned similar acclaim. Both the album and lead single “Break My Soul” spent some time at No. 1 on their respective Billboard charts, and zooming out, the project added a new dimension to Beyoncé’s already complex and beautiful legacy.

One of 2022’s other most notable figures was Kate Bush, who had an unexpectedly prosperous year thanks to Stranger Things making her 1985 single “Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)” one of the year’s biggest songs. It topped Billboard‘s global chart, artists like Coldplay covered it, and it got Bush some hefty checks. Bush herself couldn’t really believe the tune’s resurgence, but stranger things have happened.

As for what else the “Top 5” video covers, you’ll have to watch above to find out.

Beyoncé Is Reportedly Having Her Crew Remain Sober And Undergo ‘Me Too Checks’ Ahead Of Her ‘Renaissance’ Tour

Though Beyoncé hasn’t officially announced her Renaissance tour, it’s become one of the buzziest of the upcoming year. Plans of the Renaissance tour were revealed back in October at WACO Theater‘s Wearable Art Gala 2022, where a lavish tour package was up for auction.

According to The Sun, Beyoncé is in high gear planning for her tour. A source close to the tour told The Sun that Bey is enforcing a ban on alcohol and drugs during rehearsals and tour dates.

“Bey knows the new performances will require intense choreography and precision, so everyone has to be clean and sober,” said the source. “There won’t be any crazy partying on the road either.”

The source also revealed that each crew member will be thoroughly background-checked, in order to prevent sexual misconduct during the tour.

“She is also carrying out #MeToo checks with the dancers, band and crew with hopes doing so will make the tour a safe and friendly work environment,” said the source.

Additionally, Bey will be providing her tour crew with access to mental health support and resources.

“She knows people are happiest when they know their well-being is fulfilled,” said the source, “and wants to use what she has learned in the business to lead by example.”

Will.i.am Talks Beyonce’s “Break My Soul” Remix EP: “I Inspired It”

Beyonce’s ground breaking seventh album Renaissance is still making climbing its way to the top of the charts, two months after its release. The legendary songstress recently made history with the dance-inspired album as all 16-tracks from the project made it onto the Billboard Hot 100. On top of that, Renaissance marked the biggest debut by any female artist in 2022, as well as having the year’s second-largest sales week

Needless to say, everyone who played a part on the classic project is currently enjoying the fruits of their labor. Black Eyed Peas frontman Will.i.am recently spoke about working with Beyonce for the remix version of the album’s lead single “Break My Soul.” He told Metro UK that he was in France when he first heard the track, and immediately called up an electronic collaborator to send over a remix version of the song to Bey’s camp.

Beyoncé accepts the Best R&B Performance award for ‘Black Parade’ onstage during the 63rd Annual GRAMMY Awards at Los Angeles Convention Center on March 14, 2021 in Los Angeles, California.

“They weren’t thinking about remixes until I sent it,” he said of the four-track EP. “They put out a remix EP and my song’s the first one on it – and I inspired it! I can’t find the word for it – it’s like Santa Claus is real, man!” The EP also featured remix versions of BMS by Chicago house legend Terry Hunter, Honey Dijon and DJ Nita Aviance of New York City.

After dropping the remix project, the 41-year old songstress broke the Internet once again with the “Queens Remix” version of her chart topping hit, in which she pays homage to past and present Queens of the industry, including Jill Scott, Grace Jones, Janet Jackson and more.

Aside from working with the likes of Beyonce, Will.I.Am is gearing up for the forthcoming season of The Voice UK, where he serves as one of the main judges. Check out “Break My Soul (Will.i.Am) Remix” below.

When Will Beyoncé Go On Tour For ‘Renaissance?’

Beyoncé fans are eagerly awaiting to experience the songs from Renaissance live, especially considering it’s packed with danceable house anthems that would definitely make a crowd move fervently. While the singer hasn’t officially announced a tour, there are promising rumors circulating online, giving fans reasons to get excited.

Page Six has recently reported that Renaissance will finally be taken on the road soon, according to what multiple inside sources told the magazine. One revealed that Beyoncé is booking stadiums around the world for next summer, and another divulged that an announcement will be made in the coming weeks. Nothing is confirmed but there is hope on the horizon at least.

In the meantime, Beyoncé has kept busy in wholesome ways. She recently had a personal gift shipped to Abbott Elementary‘s Sheryl Lee Ralph, in celebration of her recent Emmy win for Best Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series. Ralph became just the second Black woman to win in that category at last week’s Emmy Awards. Along with the bouquet of yellow and white flowers, Beyoncé wrote Ralph a special note, referencing the role of Deena Jones in Dreamgirls that they both played (Ralph in the 1981 Broadway debut, Beyoncé in the 2006 movie).

Beyoncé Is Reportedly Planning A 2023 Summer ‘Renaissance’ Tour

Beyoncé’s Renaissance was one of the biggest albums of the year. The LP reached No. 1 and sent the internet into a collective frenzy of discussion and funny memes. The “Love On Top” singer hasn’t yet brought the songs to audiences on a tour, but that might change soon.

Page Six has reported that Renaissance will finally be taken on the road soon, according to multiple inside sources that told the magazine. One revealed that Beyoncé is booking stadiums around the world for next summer, and another divulged that an announcement will be made in the coming weeks. Fingers crossed!

Of course, planning a massive tour while the pandemic isn’t quite over is not an easy feat. The pandemic even impacted her process of writing the album, for better or for worse, as she said in her statement before releasing Renaissance: “Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world. It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving. My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration.”

Lil Nas X Vogued To Beyonce’s ‘Pure/Honey’ At His Tour Opener And Fans Couldn’t Get Enough Of It

When Beyonce released Renaissance at the end of July, a major talking point was how heavy it leaned into dance music. Many listeners stated that she would be instrumental in bringing back voguing, a dance style popular in the 1980s that evolved from the Harlem ballroom scene of the 1960s. Well, those people were right, but they may not have anticipated it being done on such a large stage as Lil Nas X commanded on the opening night of his Long Live Montero Tour.

In two separate videos shared on Twitter on Tuesday (September 6) and Wednesday (September 7), the “Industry Baby” artist can be seen vogueing to Beyonce’s “Pure/Honey.” One of those who tweeted captioned their video “Yall @lilnasx voguing to Pure/Honey was everything I didn’t know I needed.” The pop star wasn’t alone either, as his backup dancers joined in. The crowd erupted with excitement, singing along to the lyrics and encouraging the 23-year-old to “cut a rug,” as they would popularly say in the 1920s and 1930s.

Lil Nas X is a talented showman on his own, but infusing Beyonce songs and such a popular dance style into his set likely made that a night that attendees will never forget.
