Who Has Monica Dated?

Monica has certainly had a fulfilling musical career over the years. Contrarily, the R&B icon’s romantic relationships seem to have always been found wanting more. As a result, they have all eventually come to an end but not all hope is lost.

Her last known relationship ended in 2019. Since then, the singer has mostly kept mute about developments in her love life. That is, of course, until recently when she subtly announced that she has a new man. Indeed, Monica seems to have found love again, and her fans can’t help but be happy for her. The singer definitely hasn’t had it easy when it comes to matters of the heart. Regardless, she has chosen to let love in once again, and we are rooting for the superstar. Here’s a look at Monica’s dating history from the late ‘90s until now.

Jarvis Weems

It is unclear when exactly Monica and Weems started dating, but it must have been sometime in the late ‘90s. Monica’s relationship came to a very sad and abrupt end in 2000 following a shocking incident. Weems’ brother had died in an accident in 1998, and unknown to Monica, her then-boyfriend was dealing with an overwhelming amount of grief. In July 2000, when Monica and Weems paid a visit to the resting place of Weems’ late older brother, the 24-year-old unexpectedly committed suicide. He reportedly locked himself in their car and shot himself fatally.

C-Murder

Monica and C-Murder dated in the early 2000s before things fell apart. The media is not quite certain when exactly they started dating, but it is safe to assume it happened after Weems’ demise. The rapper was convicted in 2003 for the 2002 murder of 16-year-old Steve Thomas at a nightclub in Harvey, Louisiana. The case has been highly controversial, with C-Murder maintaining his innocence throughout the legal proceedings. However, he was sentenced to life in prison and has already served time there for over a decade. Monica has visited him a couple of times in recent years, sparking rumors about the two being back together. She has always made it known that she believes he’s innocent, and is determined to help free him.

Monica and rapper Rocko were in an on-and-off relationship in the early 2000s. However, things got reasonably stable between them after they welcomed their first child in May 2005. Subsequently, the couple got engaged on December 24, 2007, just a few weeks before the arrival of their second child in 2008. Their relationship ended about two years later. On March 11, 2010, Monica revealed via X (formerly Twitter) that she and Rocko were no longer together. In a conversation with VIBE, she shared that she would always have love for him. “When I met him, I was only 19 years old and the good definitely outweighed the bad over the years,” she said. “So we don’t have any hard feelings towards one another.”

Monica met the former NBA player in June 2010 while shooting the music video for her song “Love All Over Me.” The pair quickly developed a romantic relationship and got engaged in October 2010. Soon afterward, they got married in a secret ceremony at their Los Angeles home. The ceremony took place on November 22, 2010, and was followed by a second wedding in July 2011, organized for friends and family to attend.

Monica and Brown have a daughter together named Laiyah, born in September 2013. In the years that followed, their relationship seemed stable, and they shared glimpses of their family life on social media. However, it seems that the challenges they faced privately could not be overcome. In March 2019, Monica filed for divorce, and by October of that same year, it was finalized.

Wilson, who is apparently Chris Brown’s manager, posted a photo with Monica on Instagram with the caption “Happy birthday, babe.” Monica, putting the post up on her Instagram story, replied, “Thank you, my love, you’ve treated me like every day was my birthday….”

Furthermore, she has been a good luck charm of sorts as the team always seems to win whenever she is in attendance. However, if she is not at the game, then the team underperforms.

Despite all of the good fortune, it is clear that this relationship is taking its toll a bit. Kelce’s family has had to suffer the brunt of the publicity. They never really asked for his and they were never able to expect it. However, they have been thrust into the spotlight. As TMZ reports, this has been extremely difficult for the family. Travis’ parents are overwhelmed, and so is his brother Jason.

Despite this, they are seemingly willing to deal with all of it as Travis seems extremely happy. Not to mention, they have both offered their approval of Taylor. The only real issue here is that the publicity has made it difficult to live life normally. Moreover, they feel as though the Swifties are a bit unhinged. This has them worried that one of them could do something to Travis should the relationship go awry.

A new biography on one of the greatest rappers to ever touch a mic, Tupac Shakur, is now available. Staci Robinson wrote it, and it even got the approval of the late MC’s mother, Afeni Shakur Davis, before her passing in 2016. However, that’s not the most tantalizing part of this story. Moreover, it’s the revelations held in conversations with ‘Pac’s sister, Sekyiwa “Set” Shakur, who spoke to Robinson for this book and whose statements permeate its chapters. She maintained that he talked about Jada Pinkett Smith just as much as she talks about him, highlighting their strong friendship and bond.

Before getting into that, though, Sekyiwa addressed Tupac’s friendship with John Cole to get into the deeper meat of this angle of the story. “All I remember is John coming over to the house all the time. And nothing else could be talked about but Jada,” she expressed in the biography, according to People. “His music changed. This people changed. And Jada came- the entity! The magazine posters had come off his wall and John’s art went up on his wall. And pictures of Jada.”

Furthermore, Robinson also apparently brought up a poem that Tupac wrote and dedicated to Jada after he moved to California, having met her at their Baltimore high school. “u will never fully understand / How Deeply my Heart Feels 4 u,” the lyrics for the alleged piece “The omega of my Heart” in Robinson’s biography read. “U R my Heart in Human Form / a Friend I could never replace.” Now that the book is out and we don’t have to depend on other sources to learn its contents, you can scrutinize this for yourself much further.

Mustard Demands $10K From His Ex-Wife For Trying To See His Finances Amid Divorce

It’s been a difficult, contentious, and accountable past two years for hip-hop producer DJ Mustard, now simply known as Mustard. Moreover, he filed for divorce from his wife Chanel Thierry back in May of 2022, which quickly became a decidedly nasty process. Amid child support payment battles, airing out of other partners, and more, it hasn’t been pretty to witness. If you’re at all familiar with the blogosphere and sites like ours, then you most likely know a little bit about it already. Now, we have a new development in their legal split process, which saw the beatmaker demand $10K from his former wife.

Furthermore, according to a Radar Online report, this is based on Mustard’s accusation that Thierry tried to unrightfully access his finances. Apparently, she recently issued five subpoenas to his previous employers, looking for documents that were “not relevant” in the divorce. What’s more is that the L.A. artist claimed that these filings sought info from as far back as 2016, years before their marriage, that they already settled in a prenup. If you’re curious, the companies that she allegedly reached out to are Roc Nation, EMI, Live Music, Universal, and Sony.

Still, you might be wondering why Chanel Thierry would want to look for this in the first place. This is because she allegedly wants to find out more information about Mustard’s income to fight for a larger amount in monthly child support payments in court. “She will use an abusive discovery strategy to cause this divorce to last longer than the entire length of the marriage,” he filed in court while asking that she pay for this wrongdoing with $10K. Despite legal authorities already resolving the child support issue, the 33-year-old maintains that Thierry is engaging in “an expansive, unnecessary, and expensive discovery campaign into the financial issues that have been resolved and/or are conclusively governed” by the prenup.

Meanwhile, his lawyer stated that he already paid the agreed child and spousal support amounts, both based on court rulings and the prenup. As such, they want the court to throw out these subpoenas and punish Thierry for trying to escalate and elongate this process through this action. A Look At Tamar Braxton’s Dating History

However, the veteran singer has not been as successful with love as with music. When it comes to romantic relationships, over the years, Braxton has opened up her heart several times.

Regardless, so far, only one of those relationships has stood the test of time. In October 2023, the singer’s most recent romance ended. Her engagement to Jeremy Robinson was called off after only a few months of being with him. Nonetheless, fans continue to root for her as she heals and eventually finds her perfect match. Darrell “Delite” Allamby (2000-2003)

Darrell Allamby is a Grammy-nominated record producer and songwriter. He and Tamar Braxton met in 2000 when the singer worked on her solo debut album, Tamar. While producing and co-writing “Money Can’t Buy Love” and “Once Again,” Allamby took a liking to Braxton. Evidently, Miss Braxton liked him back, and they started dating soon after. Thereafter, in 2001, the couple got married, and for two years, their relationship went strong. By 2003, however, the flame of their romance seemed to have burned out. They went their separate ways that same year and have stayed apart since then.

Vincent Herbert (2003-2017)

Vincent Herbert is a producer, songwriter, and record executive and, for a time, was Tamar Braxton’s manager. Given how long Braxton and Herbert were together, one would think or hope they would stay together forever. Well, that’s not how things played out, to the shock and dismay of some fans. After her breakup with Allamby in 2003, the stars seemed to align for Braxton when she fell for Herbert. They kicked their relationship off pretty smoothly, dating from 2003 until November 2008, when they got married.

Five years later, Logan Vincent Herbert was born, the couple’s first and only child. Meanwhile, in 2012, Braxton and Herbert premiered their reality TV series Tamar & Vince on WEtv. It was a spin-off of Braxton Family Values and ran for five seasons between 2012 and 2017. Throughout their time together, the two faced several challenges and experienced many rough patches in their relationship. However, it was in 2017 that they finally decided to call it quits. David Adefeso (2018-2020)

Tamar Braxton and David Adefeso began dating in 2018 and often shared glimpses of their romance on social media. Adefeso, a Nigerian businessman and financial expert, gained public attention due to his relationship with the R&B star. Until 2020, when things ended between the two, things seemed to be going great. Unfortunately, it didn’t take very long to crumble. Following Braxton’s suicide attempt, it was Adefeso who found her. Braxton revealed on The Tamron Hall Show that her “household became very hard, and it was hard because I wasn’t happy at my job, and I hadn’t been happy for years.”

It all went downhill from there, even up to the point where Adefeso filed a restraining order against the singer for alleged domestic violence. Braxton has strongly denied the accusations, however, alleging instead that Adefeso cheated on her when they were together. The series, which was created to help the three queens find true love, evidently proved successful with Braxton. The singer left the show booed up with finalist Jeremy Robinson. Although the lawyer has five children from four women, Braxton didn’t mind. She only cared about how she felt with him, and she felt good. In the finale of Queens Court that aired in March, the two got engaged.

Following their engagement, they seemed to be in a good place in the following months. However, in a surprising turn of events, it recently came out that their engagement was called off. On Monday, October 2, 2023, Robinson shared on an Instagram story that he and Braxton are no longer together. It is not yet known what exactly caused the termination of their engagement, but we do hope they both heal.
