Lil Durk Answers Questions About YoungBoy (Kind Of), Shouts Out Morgan Wallen

Before his new album Almost Healed drops next week, it seems like Lil Durk has some beef to clear within the industry. Moreover, reports stemming from DJ Akademiks and Durk’s own Twitter account suggested that the Chicago MC squashed his beef with NBA YoungBoy. Furthermore, it hasn’t been strictly confirmed by either artist, but all signs point to “yes” on social media. However, that doesn’t mean that Durkio is going to spill all the beans on their alleged reconciliation. While getting briefly interviewed by a reporter on the street, he sort of answered a question about their beef without saying much at all.

What beef?” Lil Durk replied incredulously to a woman’s question about YoungBoy. “Who? Shout out Morgan Wallen.” Then, the “Broadway Girls” artist got into his car without another word, leaving the reported (and fans) mostly in the dark. Still, it’s understandable that he wouldn’t want to keep fanning the flames of gossip, especially surrounding a feud. Maybe he simply wants his next album to speak for itself, and might open up in the future in a less impromptu scenario.

Lil Durk Shouts Out Morgan Wallen Instead Of Detailing YoungBoy Situation

Meanwhile, Lil Durk certainly has other collaborations to look forward to that have his die-hards and detractors alike quite excited. Not only that, but it should make for some incredible chemistry with one of the genre’s top dogs, who many might wrongfully assume wouldn’t go with Durk’s style. Him and J. Cole have been hard at work on a collaboration and accompanying music video. In fact, it was fans’ 100K comments on a post promoting it that led the 30-year-old to share Almost Healed‘s release date and cover art.

Regardless of any beef or de-escalation, these are two very different artists with their own careers to take care of. While a collab between then is unlikely, it would actually make for a pretty interesting combination of styles, fanbases, and appeals. What’s more is that YoungBoy just dropped an album this year as well, Don’t Try This At Home, which is actually his second of the year. No matter what’s going on between them, they are still two of the most hyped names to watch in the genre right now. Jack Harlow Still Has Several ‘Questions’ As He Is Coping With Stardom

Less than 48 hours after announcing his third studio album, Jackman, Jack Harlow has dropped the album, which features another promising set of bangers. While his previous two albums boasted viral hits and chart-toppers, making Harlow a household name in both the real of hip-hop and pop, Jackman features Harlow at his most introspective and self-aware.

The album’s closing track, “Questions,” features Harlow reflecting on his rise to stardom, and dealing with the responsibilities that come with fame. He also attempts to disabuse himself of internalized misogyny and challenges his fanbase to do the same.

“Why I treat my brother like he ain’t my only brother? / Why I gotta treat my manager like I’m above her? / Why I gotta get so intimate with my lovers? / Why I gotta cheat and make her question if I love her? / Why am I so fly? why am I so skeptical?,” he asks on the song’s opening verse.

It’s gearing up to be a busy season for Harlow. While this album is likely to have the summer on lock, Harlow is also dipping his toes in the waters of acting. Next month, he will star in his acting debut alongside Sinqua Walls in a remake of White Men Can’t Jump.

You can check out the video above.

Jackman is out now via Atlantic. Find more information here.

Jack Harlow is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Saviii 3rd Reveals Kendrick Lamar’s Criteria For Collaborating With Artists

Saviii 3rd says that Kendrick Lamar asked him a series of five questions before committing to collaborating with him. The L.A. rapper explained Lamar’s vetting process during a recent interview on The Justin Credible Podcast. Despite being nervous, Saviii knew he had to answer to the best of his ability.

“I took those questions so serious,” Saviii 3rd explained. “One of the questions was: ‘Do you want to make music for your section, or do you want to make music for the world?’ Another one is: ‘What do you think your biggest flaw is when it comes to anything blocking your creativity?’ With this one, he put: ‘This is the one’ in parentheses, and he said: ‘What do you think is stopping you from being an ultimate superstar? Be truthful with yourself.’”

Despite Lamar having such a series vetting process, Thundercat recently revealed that his favorite studio session of all time was for “These Walls” off of To Pimp A Butterfly. Speaking with HipHopDX, the artist told the outlet, “My favorite studio session that I was in, gotta be honest: it was probably singing ‘These Walls.’ And a lot of my friends at the time didn’t realize that I sang. And so, my friends were just staring in my face like, ‘What is he doing right now?’ And I was like, ‘Can you guys leave the room so I can… I don’t wanna be looking in my friends’ eyes singing about these walls.’ It’s just looking at Terrace [Martin] in the eyes, singing in my highest Michael McDonald voice. Terrace is smiling like, ‘What about these walls, Steven?’ And I’m like, ‘Stop it!’ I couldn’t pause because the track is gonna keep going, so I gotta keep singing. There is no pause, it’s just continually me singing these walls and harmonies. And my friends looking down my throat. Don’t look at me like that. I’m a grown man, I pay taxes; I’ve been to jail. Don’t do that!”

On his latest project, Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, Lamar worked with Blxst, Amanda Reifer, Sampha, Taylour Paige, Summer Walker, Ghostface Killah, Baby Keem, Kodak Black, and many more. The album won Best Rap Album at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards.

JID Is $2,000 Answer On “Jeopardy!”

JID recently entered another echelon of rap royalty, as he was an answer for a $2,000 question on Jeopardy! Moreover, the question was in the “Fight Songs” category and was the highest-scoring question in that field. Furthermore, the question posited a prompt and asked players to try to guess which rapper’s song they referenced. While many fans of the Atlanta MC might expect an established classic like “NEVER” or “Off Deez,” the prompt actually mentioned one of his biggest pop crossover collaborations. “‘Who the baddest?’” the prompt read. “‘It don’t matter ’cause we at your throat,’ this 3-letter guy raps on ‘Enemy,’ his collaboration with Imagine Dragons.”

After the show runners revealed the question, one player in particular was lightning-quick to give the correct answer. Justin exclaimed “Who’s JID?” as he laughed and gave a big smile to the host. “That’s right, you’re excited,” she replied. Given that the 32-year-old had arguably the best album of last year, it’s no wonder his fans feel so passionately about him. This joins the ranks of other famous rappers and rap songs who’ve appeared on the enduringly popular game show. However, JID’s inclusion is likely one of the most recent hip-hop references in the show’s history.

JID Joins The Jeopardy! Ranks

Furthermore, the “Workin Out” MC is also getting other extracurricular achievements under his belt. For example, he recently released the first single to Dreamville’s upcoming Creed III soundtrack. The track “Ma Boy” also features label mate Lute over an energetic and chilling beat. Both lyricists also display their talents with the pen as two of the collective’s most accomplished writers, which is saying a lot. While the soundtrack drops next week on the film’s theatrical release date of March 3rd, Bas just dropped another single for the project with Black Sheriff and Kel-P.

Meanwhile, many fans are hoping that JID gets back to one of his other trademark talents: freestyling. Recently, he revealed that Funk Flex’s meager response to his off-the-dome display dissuaded him from engaging in them again. However, after the legendary DJ called him one of his favorite rappers right now, it seems the two might run it back soon. Still, stick around on HNHH to hear the latest news, updates, and accomplishments from the one and only JID.

Moneybagg Yo & Ari Fletcher Grill Each Other With Questions During Cooking Video

Ari Fletcher and Moneybagg Yo recently asked each other some tough questions during a cooking video the two recorded together. While the couple went through their fair share of hiccups in their history, it was a fun and charming clip. In fact, it seems they’re more committed than ever, as these questions were pretty in-depth. Here are Ari’s inquiries: “Did you really snatch my wig off when we was outside the club in Miami? Do your kids like me? In your new song, you was like ‘F**k on my h*e, f**k on my b***h.’ Who were you talking about? Do your baby mamas like me?”

Moreover, the Memphis rapper had his own set of questions as they cooked what seemed to be some sort of chicken recipe. “Do you remember the first time you said you loved me, and when I told you? You ain’t let me hit until, like Thanksgiving. You made me wait.” Much to be thankful for, indeed. Unfortunately, though, the clip omits each partner’s answers, but Fletcher said the full video will come out soon. After all, Ari has a channel where she posts cooking vids often. In fact, we already knew this video was coming thanks to her blasting an Airbnb owner for promoting it.

Furthermore, Fletcher and Moneybagg filmed the cooking video in an Airbnb, whose owner posted pictures of the couple as they filmed. In fact, it was all to promote the property. “If I payed for a air bnb like a regular normal customer, why would you post pictures of me inside your air bnb telling people we was there,” Ari wrote on Twitter. “That’s so unprofessional and I was working on something private. I haven’t been at a air bnb in years and this why cause that s**t ghetto!!!”

In another tweet, she wrote, “People saying I posted a picture in the house SO!!! I never posted what I was doing or who I was doing it with! That’s s**t they say and watched on the cameras. That’s weird AF!” Whether the Airbnb owner’s gotten more sales or not, they definitely felt the wrath of Ari. Regardless, come back to HNHH for the latest on Moneybagg Yo and Ari Fletcher, and stay tuned for that cooking video.
