Metro Boomin Performs For Thousands At The Egyptian Pyramids

It’s been an undoubtedly busy few weeks for Metro Boomin, and fortunately for him, it hasn’t all been beef-related. According to TMZ, the award-winning producer performed for thousands of fans at The Egyptian Great Pyramids complex at the end of last month. The stage he performed on was right next to the Great Pyramid, The Great Sphinx, and the Pyramids of Khafre.

He first announced the performance in early April, telling fans, “In other news I’m doing a show at the Pyramids in Giza [head exploding emojis].” He also shared a poster for the event featuring him, the Sphinx, and the pyramids. Aside from performing, Metro also got the opportunity to visit with officials at the royal Abdeen Palace in Cairo.

Based on his social media activity, he was also able to do a bit of exploring during his visit to the Middle East. He posted a few photos of himself earlier this week posing alongside a camel. “From St. Louis to the pyramids,” he captioned one of the fun shots. It looks like Metro Boomin had a relaxing trip, but got right back to business when the show was over. Days after the performance, Metro Boomin unleashed on Drake in a heated Twitter rant, calling him out for some questionable past behavior. He later started a contest with his diss beat dubbed “BBL Drizzy,” offering up a cash reward for the best submission.

Shortly after that, some of Metro Boomin’s disturbing old Tweets resurfaced, reading “She might be young but she ready” and “Got your lil sister on them mollies she done ran thru the whole squad.” Since then, the nickname “Metro Groomin” has been thrown around, though he denies any wrongdoing. Kanye West Could Perform At Pyramids Of Giza & Great Wall Of China

With the first volume of Vultures only days away from dropping, it looks like Kanye West could have some exciting shows lined up in the near future. According to a new screenshot, he was allegedly offered opportunities to perform at various major international venues recently. In the conversation, Ye’s seemingly informed that the Corcovado in Brazil, the Great Wall of China, and the Giza Pyramids would “love to have” him.

It’s unclear whether or not Ye will actually perform at any of these destinations. It wouldn’t be the first time fans saw him at a historic venue, however. Back in August, Travis Scott performed at the iconic Circus Maximus in Italy after his own scheduled show at the Giza Pyramids was canceled. During the show, he brought Ye onstage for a couple of songs.

Kanye West Seemingly Offered International Shows

The alleged screenshots surfaced after Ye shared that he was having trouble getting venues to book him. He suggested that it’s due to his infamous 2022 antisemitism scandal. He had already secured a spot at Chicago’s United Center on February 9 but was out of luck elsewhere. Fortunately, after hearing Ye’s plea, several of his well-connected friends reached out with opportunities.

Shortly after, talk of a 2024-2025 world tour began after Ye posted a screenshot of some tentative tour dates. Potential destinations could include Toronto, New York, Atlanta, Cairo, Dubai, Tokyo, and more. Clearly, there are still plenty of venues willing to host Ye, but fans will just have to wait and see what ends up being confirmed. What do you think of rumors that Kanye West could perform at the Corcovado, the Great Wall of China, or the Pyramids of Giza? Which venue would you like to see him perform at? Ice Spice Shares Her Love For Pyramids In New Interview

Ice Spice is having a breakout year in 2023 and she stands apart from a lot of her contemporaries. That’s why she often gets asked some strange questions in interviews. In a new clip making the rounds, she has a hilarious interaction when somebody brings up architecture. “Do you know much about architecture?” the interviewer asks her. She takes a second to think before saying “Yeah.” He follows it up asking “Do you have a favorite?” and it doesn’t take her very long to respond. “I like pyramids,” she hits back.

In the comments of the post, fans digest her answer and come up with their own responses. “Pyramids are cool, so I guess that makes her cool too,” one fan muses. “She’s real because we all would’ve said the same thing while being put on the spot,” another agrees. Travis Scott Banned From Performing At The Pyramids In Egypt

Travis Scott had some big plans next week for his new album Utopia. The plan was for him to perform the album in full at the Pyramids in Egypt. Overall, this would happen just outside of Cairo, which is the country’s capital. Tickets for the show had already completely sold out. Although the show is a long way from the United States, this felt like a truly incredible idea. After all, what better way to display a new album than in front of one of the world’s greatest wonders?

Unfortunately, it would appear as though Travis Scott needs to come up with some new plans for his show. According to Yahoo!, the Egyptian musicians’ syndicate has declared that it will not allow Travis to perform. Overall, this decision comes as a bit of a surprise. Typically, artists are allowed to perform at the Pyramids. However, hip-hop has become a target of the syndicate as of late. It has been claimed that the genre goes against the country’s “traditions” at times.

Travis Scott Will Need To Make New Plans

As it turns out, the syndicate took a look at Travis’ planned stage show, and was immediately appalled by some of the “rituals” he was going to perform. “The syndicate found images and documented information on the strange rituals he practices, which go against our traditions,” a statement from the group explained. Simply put, they felt like Scott’s performance was disrespectful to Egyptian culture. Although, they did not explain exactly what Scott was going to do.

This is a huge blow to the Utopia roll out. For now, Travis has yet to give a statement on exactly what is going on. Only time will tell what he decides to do next. Let us know what you think of all this, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the music world.

Russ Reminds Travis Scott That He Went To The Pyramids First

Russ is someone who has a massive following all around the world. Although he has had his fair share of feuds with other artists in the industry, he has maintained his lane. Overall, he has done a great job of building up his fanbase in an organic way. Now, whenever he goes overseas or to a new country, he has thousands of adoring fans watching him perform. For some, this has been baffling as you rarely hear about Russ alongside some of hip-hop’s heavyweights. Regardless, his following persists, whether you’re paying attention or not.

As a result of people not giving him his respect, he has had a bit of a chip on his shoulder over the years. Consequently, whenever someone throws disrespect his way, he tries to correct people. Well, that happened over the weekend as Travis Scott revealed that he would be performing at the pyramids in Egypt. Many on social media were saying that Scott was the first to do it. However, Russ had already done so in October of last year. This led to a couple of tweets in regard to the situation.

Russ Sets The Record Straight

Russ also went on to note that Scott is selling CDs of the album for $12 which just so happens to be how much he is selling vinyls of his album Santiago. The implications here are fairly clear. That said, this call-out will not deter fans from traveling out to the Egyptian desert for some incredible music. Utopia has the potential to be the biggest album of the entire year, and fans cannot wait to hear it. Hopefully, it is an album that lives up to the hype.

As for Russ, Santiago promises to be his best album yet. There is quite a bit of fanfare surrounding its release, and it should be interesting to see what direction he goes in. Let us know which album you’re most excited for, down in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from around the music world.
