DDG Goes Off On Joe Budden Fans Amid Feud Over Halle Bailey Breakup

DDG went off on fans of Joe Budden in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, after the podcast host criticized him amid his breakup with Halle Bailey. When one user argued that Budden’s “Pump It Up” is a bigger hit than anything DDG has put out, the rapper fired back: “Boy shut yo b*tch ass up & get sum money. Yo dinner table 2 feet away from the stove, lil ass crib.” He also shared a YouTube video addressing the drama.

As for Budden’s remarks, he had downplayed the relevancy of DDG while discussing the bombshell breakup, earlier in the week. “Who the f*ck is DDG and why am I supposed to care about his thoughts on anything,” Budden said. “I’m very happy that they have broken up so I don’t have to keep seeing this name attached to this girl’s name when I don’t know him from nothing as a standalone, and for me, it’s important to know people based on their name, merit and what they have done. Every time I see his name, it’s attached to hers, and it’s typically in some type of clout chaser fashion, and that makes me look at him a different way.”

As for DDG’s responses to Budden, fans have been quite critical of them. When The Neighborhood Talk posted a round-up, one user wrote in the comments section wrote: “His comebacks are ageism, mocking people who have humble earnings, etc. Where do y’all meet these men so I can stay away from there?” Another remarked: “Calling someone old is not a flex. Especially how these young black men are out here dropping left and right.”

Joe Budden Responds To DDG’s Jabs Amid Halle Bailey Breakup Drama

Last week, DDG hopped online to announce that he and Halle Bailey broke up. He posted a touching statement, in which he described the Little Mermaid star as his “best friend” despite the split. The announcement has prompted reactions from countless social media users and peers since, including Joe Budden.

During a recent episode of his podcast, Budden weighed in on the breakup and threw some serious shade DDG’s way. According to him, he doesn’t know who DDG is outside of his relationship with Bailey. “Who the f*ck is DDG and why am I supposed to care about his thoughts on anything?” he wondered. “Every time I see his name, it’s attached to hers, and it’s typically in some clout chaser fashion. So that makes me look at him a different way, and hopefully, I get to look at him a lot less now that they’ve broken up.”

“N***a got 30 years MAX of life left & speakin on a relationship of people the same age as yo son you’n take care of. I hope u forget to take your magnesium pills today u old b*tch @JoeBudden.” Now, Budden has issued a simple response. “lol,” he replied to DDG’s comments about “Pump It Up.” He appears unfazed, but only time will tell whether or not he’ll come back with a more detailed comeback. LL Cool J Gets Real About Joe Budden Finally Going Gold In 2024

LL Cool J is a hip-hop legend who has been giving a lot of amazing artists their flowers as of late. One of those artists is none other than Joe Budden. While the kids might know him more as a podcaster, the OG fans know that he was incredible on the mic. Overall, Budden was a proficient MC who didn’t get the mainstream attention he deserved. However, he did have one huge hit, which was the 2003 banger “Pump It Up.” Shockingly, it was revealed that it only went Gold in 2024.

Upon learning this information, LL Cool J got Joe Budden a gold plaque and gifted it to him on his podcast. This subsequently led to a whole bunch of discourse surrounding Budden’s career. It also spawned more between the likes of Budden and Yung Miami. Having said that, LL Cool J was recently spotted by TMZ, where they asked him what he thought about the Budden discourse. That is when he made the astute point that most artists never go gold and that any accomplishment is one worth celebrating.

LL Cool J With Some Facts

Plenty of fans agreed with the artist and his take. “Joe came from the era where you had to actually sell CDs. Gold records weren’t easy to come by in a era of Hov, DMX, Ja Rule, Eminem, Nelly, etc. The kids weren’t around then,” one person wrote. “An accomplishment is an accomplishment. You don’t have to like Joe but the man is talented,” said another.

Let us know what you think about these comments from LL Cool J, down below. Do you believe he is right with this assessment? Were you surprised to find out that “Pump It Up” hadn’t yet gone gold? Or was this expected? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. Joe Budden Is Jealous Of Yung Miami & Diddy’s Relationship, Tia Kemp Speculates

Last week, Yung Miami stirred up some serious drama with her response to Joe Budden’s 2003 single “Pump It Up” going gold. She responded to the exciting news with a series of laughing emojis, which rubbed the personality the wrong way. At the time, he refused to respond, claiming “It would be too easy.” In a new episode of his podcast, however, he went in.

He argued that Yung Miami had no room to laugh at him for his career. “If Complex were to do a list of where all the female rappers rate Caresha you would be last on the list. You would be drop dead last on that list,” he explained. “Every female out there is wiping you down right now.”

Tia Kemp Backs Yung Miami

Budden went on, reminding Yung Miami that just a couple of weeks ago, she admitted that her label told her they haven’t seen any growth from her as an artist. “Need I remind you that today I hear ‘Pump It Up’ more than I hear you so while you go on these social media rants and say that you were nine years old when ‘Pump It Up’ dropped and now you’re 30 you should be cautious of that,” he added.

For obvious reasons, the read earned big reactions from social media users, including Tia Kemp. She took to Instagram Live to share her take on the debacle recently, siding with the former City Girl. Kemp suggested that men in particular continue beefing with Yung Miami simply out of jealousy. “Yeah I think these men be mad that she had Diddy and they didn’t,” she explained. What do you think of Tia Kemp’s response to Joe Budden slamming Yung Miami for laughing at his gold “Pump It Up” plaque? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Yung Miami Laughs At Joe Budden’s “Pump It Up” Plaque And Prompts A Shady Response

Joe Budden recently received his official Gold plaque from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for “Pump It Up.” His biggest commercial hit came out 21 years ago, and though it’s a late arrival, it’s a celebratory one nonetheless. However, this became an easy target for the Slaughterhouse MC’s haters, as many folks online made fun of this development. In fact, even Yung Miami (formerly of the City Girls) tweeted out some crying-laughing emojis in response to this. While it’s unclear whether she meant to disrespect him with this post, he certainly took it as such.

“It would be too easy…..” Joe Budden tweeted in response to Yung Miami’s laughter. “Maybe tmw lol…” he added in another tweet responding to a fan who asked him to let loose on her. For those unaware, Budden has been previously critical of Caresha in the public eye, such as commenting on her recent expressions concerning the Diddy scandal. Specifically, he thinks that he threw her City Girls partner JT under the bus with her comments and instead had sympathy for the disgraced hip-hop mogul despite his confirmed and alleged crimes.

Joe Budden’s Responses To Yung Miami

Of course, what Joe Budden is referring to with these tweets is that Yung Miami is no commercial juggernaut either, as evidenced by his thoughts on the City Girls’ very poor album sales last year. “I need to have that number confirmed,” he said on his podcast about their alleged 6K first week debut for RAW, which was actually 10K. Budden questioned this discrepancy, and wasn’t critical of the duo at all but rather of their label, the system that quantified these numbers, and their behind-the-scenes struggles. “It still sounds unbelievable to me. I’m with you as far as how they counted that. Maybe it’s the pure album sales. Somebody was trying to hurt them during their release.”

Meanwhile, speaking of record label and music business nonsense, Joe Budden also recently spoke on Drake’s licensing deal. He thinks that far too many people falsely believe that Drizzy has a lot of freedom in this UMG partnership. While those details and considerations are well beyond the scope of accessible information for most music listeners, that murky water is exactly what should inspire this skepticism. We’ll see if Joe has any more thoughts on his Gold plaque and on these conversations.

Drake Fans Troll Joe Budden After “Pump It Up” Goes Gold After 21 Years

Drake and Joe Budden have a love-and-hate relationship that has stemmed for many years. Overall, Budden is one of Drizzy’s biggest inspirations. If you listen to those early mixtapes, you can hear the Budden influence. When Joe disapproves of something Drizzy does, you can tell the Canadian megastar gets a bit hurt by it. Subsequently, this has led to a bit of a one-sided war between the two. While Joe was the one taking shots in 2016, the script has now flipped, as Budden is the mostly unbothered one.

Recently, Joe’s biggest song “Pump It Up” went gold. During his most recent podcast, Budden was gifted with a gold plaque for the track. This has led to discourse about the song’s impact and how it’s possible that it only went gold in 2024. One explanation is that it is up to the label to apply for RIAA certifications. Budden and Def Jam did not end their relationship on the best of terms, and it could have led to a bit of a delay in the proceedings.

Joe Budden Celebrates

Despite this valuable context, Drake fans decided to get their jokes off, regardless. In the replies to the DJ Akademiks tweet above, fans immediately roasted Budden for his achievement. Many noted that it would never take Drake 25 years for a song to go gold. Moreover, they made sure to get in as many one-hit-wonder jokes as humanly possible. It was all very cruel and ignores the fact that their favorite artist has been a Joe Budden Stan for ages.

Fans Express Surprise

Let us know what you think about Drake fans trolling Joe Budden, in the comments section down below. Do you believe that the Canadian superstar’s fans have become too sycophantic as of late? Joe Budden Turns Down Nicki Minaj’s Offer To Perform On “Pink Friday 2” Tour: “I Ain’t Hype No More!”

Joe Budden says that he’s not going to accept Nicki Minaj’s invite to perform with her on the Pink Friday 2 World Tour and that he’s no longer in shape to do so. He discussed Nicki reaching out to him on a recent episode of his self-titled podcast. She apparently wanted him to perform “Pump It Up” as a special guest at her concert in his home state of New Jersey.

“I thought about it,” Budden admitted. When asked why he ended up saying no, he explained: “It ain’t the words; it’s my body. I gotta go out there and act hype, I ain’t hype no more! Budden wouldn’t have been the first special guest Nicki has welcomed to the stage during her tour. She recently brought out hometown legend 50 Cent when she traveled to New York City’s Madison Square Garden. They performed their Pink Friday 2 collaboration “Beep Beep,” as well as 50’s classic hit, “Candy Shop.” 50 also seemingly trolled Diddy during the performance, telling the audience he loves them even if they are sex workers. Sharing that moment on Instagram afterward, he added in the caption: “I love you, you and you even if your a little sex workers, love ya it’s all love. The Barbz are out holding it down!”

Drake Trolls Joe Budden, Nicki Minaj Invites Podcaster To Perform Throwback Hit

Drake still has yet to respond to the shade thrown at him by his “Poetic Justice” collaborator Kendrick Lamar with a diss track of his own. This is leaving some to wonder if he’ll ever have any bars to spit about what went down between them. Interestingly, the father of one is still very active on social media. Specifically, he wasn’t afraid to poke fun at another opp of his – Joe Budden. On Saturday (March 30), Drizzy’s Instagram Story lit up with a snapshot of the podcaster wearing some seriously baggy sweatpants.

To complete his fit, Budden added a black hoodie, a shiny puffer jacket in the same colour, crisp white sneakers and a hat that reads, “FREE.” The Canadian’s trolling comes after his most recent performance in New York City, where he got some frustrations off his chest during “Energy.” On the picture of JB, Drake wrote, “What’s the vibes NY?!?” suggesting he was on the hunt for a fun way to spend his Easter weekend.

While Drake continues to troll Budden, Nicki Minaj is surprisingly putting their differences aside to show him love.
