Boosie Badazz Reacts To Tory Lanez Sentence

Boosie Badazz has always been vocal online when it comes to various topics concerning other artists. Overall, this has included the Tory Lanez trial. Although Tory was originally convicted back in December, he was only sentenced yesterday. This sentence was a huge one as he will now be going to prison for 10 years. Of course, this has led to numerous reactions online. Some say Tory got off easy, while others believe this is too harsh of a punishment. No matter what, it is a very polarizing topic.

In the eyes of Boosie, Tory actually got off very easily. Boosie harkened back to his own experience here, saying that in his home state, the punishment would have been a whole lot more severe. “I think he came out good, bro,” Boosie said. “I don’t know how California work. I think he’ll only do five [years] — that’s state time. Shit… in Louisiana, that n**** woulda did 40, n****. A crime on a woman? Highly televised? 40, n****. No cap.”

Boosie Badazz Speaks Out

Additionally, Boosie went on to say that Tory probably won’t serve much time anyway. Instead, he will serve about a third of his sentence and come out stronger than ever. “I think state time, you only do nothing but half,” Boosie stated. “Five years. He’ll do three years, a lil’ paper, he be back out, stronger than ever … You can’t take his talent away, bro. He’ll be back.” Overall, it remains to be seen how much time Tory will actually have to serve. It seems as though 8.5 years is the number floating around. Although, this could certainly change.

With Tory going to prison for a decade, his fans are outraged. That said, there are those on the opposite side, who feel vindicated and satisfied. Casanova Receives 15-Year Prison Sentence

Casanova has been behind bars for quite some time now. Back in 2020, he was arrested on racketeering and narcotics charges that typically come with some hefty punishments. Overall, Casanova has been fairly active in terms of speaking out from behind bars. Moreover, just last year, he ultimately plead guilty to narcotics and racketeering conspiracy. Since then, he has been awaiting his sentencing. He even wrote a letter to the judge, where he hoped for leniency as he looked to renounce his former life.

“I am telling you and anyone that will listen that I wanted out before I was arrested and I am out. I’ve learned through my music career that people will listen and that I don’t need to associate myself with a gang to succeed. I don’t need to associate with a gang even if I don’t succeed,” the rapper wrote. “While I have been in here I lost my father to cancer. While I put on that strong facade, all I wanted to do was end it. Surviving on Rikers Island and upstate correctional facilities were not easy with racial and gang tension and violence at its height.”

Kodak Black Artist Syko Bob Gets 5-Year Prison Sentence For Gun Possession

Authorities just sentenced Syko Bob, signed to Kodak Black’s Sniper Gang collective, to five years behind bars. Moreover, the Florida rapper (real name Cambrel Smart) pleaded guilty to a charge of gun possession back in December of 2022. While not many details surrounding this case came out, it followed a January 2022 traffic stop at around 3:00 a.m. During this pull-over for speeding on I-75 in Collier County, Florida, a Florida Highway Patrol trooper found a bag of marijuana and a loaded gun.

Furthermore, HipHopDX discovered jail record copies showing alleged charges of a DUI, carrying a concealed gun, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana, and possession of a weapon or ammo by a convicted felon. As of writing this article, Kodak Black has yet to respond to these developments on social media. However, given their close collaboration, hopefully the label boss is supporting his artist in any way possible through this tough time. Unfortunately, it’s not the most dangerous headline Syko’s had to face.

Syko Bob, Kodak Black Signee, Sentenced To Five Years In Prison

To elaborate, Bob was one of a few targets of a drive-by shooting in April of 2021, which assumedly targeted them directly. According to reports from The Sun Sentinel, police claimed the 29-year-old and two other men drove around Lauderhill, Florida at the time of the attack. Then, a black BMW drove close by and shot at the group. Car crashes ensued as both vehicles tried to move quickly, with someone in Syko’s car allegedly shooting back. What’s more is that the vehicles disappeared by the time police responded, and so they went to see the three victims in the hospital, who were rushed there by bystanders.

According to Lt. Michael Santiago, Syko and his crew “refused to cooperate with the investigation and provided no details on the events.” The Sniper Gang MC took to Instagram Live to let fans know he survived unscathed. “Please stop talking about ‘get well’ when s**t ain’t wrong,” he expressed. “Don’t send me s**t about no ‘get well’ no more when s**t ain’t happen to me.” Regardless, log back into HNHH for the latest news and updates on Syko Bob and Kodak Black.

R. Kelly Charged With 20 More Years In Prison, Twitter Reacts

R. Kelly, who has already been behind bars with a 30-year sentence, is now charged with 20 more years in prison. Just last year, the 56-year-old rapper received charges of racketeering and sex trafficking, CNN reports. The current federal case reached its sentencing conclusion today (February 23rd), with Kelly serving additional time for child pornography and enticing a minor. The presiding judge on the case was US District Judge Harry D. Leinenweber announced in court that 19 of the years will be served concurrently with his previous sentence, with the other year being added to the 30-year sentence.

Initially convicted last September, Kelly was facing three counts of child pornography, and three counts of enticement of a minor to engage in criminal sexual activity, the outlet reports. The “Back Up” singer had faced similar charges in 2002 but received the verdict of not guilty. In all, Kelly’s most recent sentencing reflects three decades of his torment of underage victims. One of these victims emotionally depicted the aftermath of the repeat sex offender’s actions, which attorney Christopher Brown conveyed in court. She wrote, “I have lost my dignity due to Robert Kelly. I have lost my dreams due to Robert Kelly. I have lost my teenage years to Robert Kelly.”

Sentencing guidelines for Kelly’s case ranged from 11.25 to 14 years for the defense, and 14 to 17 years for the prosecution. The legal team representing the rapper argued, “in the unlikely event that Kelly was to survive his 30-year sentence, there is no reason to believe he would re-offend as a geriatric in his mid-80s. The overwhelming majority of Kelly’s criminal conduct was committed a quarter century ago.” The decision for the concurrent sentencing remained in the court’s hands.

With the updates in Kelly’s high-profile case circulating today, many Twitter users sharing their opinions over the additional 20-year sentencing. “R kelly is getting 20 years in prison, one enthusiastic user tweeted, “im sooooo happy.” Others, however, weren’t happy with the concurrent sentence. “As it stands now, R Kelly will serve no more than 31 years in prison. If he survives, he will be let out of prison again around the age 80. What a life, gone way wrong,” one user reflected. Be sure to check out more Twitter reactions to R. Kelly down below, and don’t forget to keep up with HNHH for the hottest news in hip-hop.

Tay-K Says He “Feels Like A Hamster” In Prison

Tay-K sent out several tweets regarding his alleged treatment behind bars.

The “Hard” rapper shared a series of tweets on Tuesday night where he described poor treatment in prison in brief. “I’m at war within,” he wrote on Tuesday.

“I feel like a hamster in here,” he continued. “they’re literally treating me like a ferret in here rn.”

Tay-K has been particularly active on Twitter in the past few months. He shared some bars while also updating fans on his well-being and his thoughts. At the beginning of January, he said that he wanted “1 chance at adulthood.”

He further explained that race played a significant role in the judge’s decision to try him as an adult. “I bet if I was a lil white kid they wouldn’t have gave me no 55 years for a crime I was alleged to play the most insignificant role in when I was 16,” he wrote.

At this time, he said that he wouldn’t have faced such a severe sentence. Instead, he likely would’ve faced a lesser punishment of having to complete a rehabilitation program.

“They woulda rightfully argued that my mind wasn’t fully developed and gave me rehabilitation and a 2nd (1st) chance at adulthood,” he continued.

Afterward, he pointed out that his co-defendant, a white girl of the same age, didn’t face any time.

“she ended up getting 10 years of probation without no deal…that girl @ home rn,” he added.

Following the trial, a judge sentenced Tay-K to nearly 100 years in prison. A jury found the rapper guilty of his role in Ethan Walker’s murder. Police identified Walker as the victim of a home invasion. A judge later ordered Tay-K to serve 55 years for the murder. Additionally, the court ordered another 30 years for aggravated robbery; and 13 years for two additional counts of aggravated robbery.

We will keep you posted on any more developments related to Tay-K’s case.

Hoodrich Pablo Juan Sentenced To 15 Years After Plea Deal In RICO Case

Hoodrich Pablo Juan is presently looking down the barrel of 15 years in prison.

The 33-year-old rapper was becoming well known – especially in his Atlanta, Georgia area – for his innovative beats and aggressive flows. With collaborations alongside Playboi Carti, Migos, Gucci Mane, and more, the up-and-coming rapper was finally beginning to break into the mainstream.

A prior 1017 Eskimo member, Juan was one of the most promising standouts of Gucci Mane’s lineup. However, like many other talented artists, legal issues frequently complicated his career.

The New Jersey-born musician was previously taken into custody back in 2020 on account of Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations charges. As you may know, these are some of the most serious allegations one can receive.

The state of Georgia had been investigating over 40 suspects including him. The final indictment was massive, including 59 counts of violations of the Georgia Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act, 24 counts of aggravated assault, and four counts of kidnapping.

Additionally, four counts of murder, 92 counts of RICO, three counts of trafficking methamphetamine, and three counts of trafficking heroin were a part of the same indictment.

Since then Pablo Juan has reportedly reached a plea deal. According to court documents, he was given a 15-year sentence. That said, due to his plea, his final time is now down to at least five years in prison. Afterward, he can serve the remaining 10 years on probation.

A couple of trials and a bit of jail time aren’t enough to kill HPJ’s passion for music. His most recent mixtape was aptly titled Free Hood which he dropped in late 2021.

Check out the whole project here and let us know what you think of the RICO charges in the comments. Does Pablo Juan deserve what he got? Or are you team #FREEHOOD?
