Travis Hunter Staunchly Defends His Fiancée After Going Viral For Controversial Behavior At Fan Event

Despite winning the Heisman Trophy over the weekend, things are not all sunshine and rainbows for Travis Hunter. The Colorado Buffalo wideout and cornerback took home the coveted hardware after being in a competitive two-horse race with Boise State Bronco running back, Ashton Jeanty. It was a controversial decision, but Travis definitely made a strong case with playing on both sides of the ball at a high level. But he’s not having a bad time right now because of that. Instead, it has to do with his fiancée, Leanna Lenee, and her controversial behavior over these last couple of days.

Fans of the future NFL draft pick are trying to warn him about her intentions and the red flags that continue to pop up. In terms of this weekend, it started at the Heisman ceremony on Saturday. When Travis Hunter was announced the winner, his head coach, Deion Sanders, and his other loved ones stood up immediately to congratulate him. However, as you can see below, Sanders sort of forces her to get out of her seat. She puts on a smile, but fans are highly skeptical. Then, it kind of gets uglier from there.

Fans Are Trying To Reach The Heisman Winner

While at a scheduled fan meet and greet like event, Lenee is seen sitting on the couch while Travis takes pictures with the kids. But once again, it’s how she’s putting herself on display in public that has everyone upset for the athlete. In the clip, you can hear Lenee say with some attitude, “What do you want me to do… I just sit here then.” But Travis Hunter is standing by his girl’s side during this unrelenting barrage of hate. She claims to have been drinking and crying because of it and he’s not trying to hear it from the media one bit. You can see his heated response in the repost from The Neighborhood Talk above.

Even though he’s trying to put a stop to this, fans feel they are just trying to help. If you go on Twitter right now you will see tons of them pointing to past comments, Lenee’s body language, and all of the above. Comedian Godfrey is even trying to have a heart-to-heart with Travis Hunter and making him aware of her questionable actions and words. He’s been one of many to point out how Lenee said in an older Q&A video with Travis that “he wasn’t my type.” She did try to debunk that skepticism around it by commenting on how he was in high school when he tried to shoot his shot. All in all, Travis’ response tells us that he’s committed to Leanna after getting engaged to her earlier this year and we sincerely wish them nothing but the best!

Wendy Williams Out In Florida After Reports She Is “Permanently Incapacitated”

Wendy Williams made a rare public appearance amid ongoing concerns about her health and legal battles. The former talk show host was seen on Sunday (Dec. 15) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, smiling as she sat in the back seat of a black SUV. She was reportedly picking up an order from Sho’nuff Oysters, according to a video shared on Instagram by blogger Antoine Edwards. Williams, 60, appeared polished and cheerful during the outing. She wore an army-green jacket, accessorized with several bracelets, and a striking ring. Her signature look included red lipstick and light brown hair styled with bangs. Accompanying her was her nephew, Travis Finnie, Edwards noted.

This sighting comes just days after her legal guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, described Williams’ condition as “permanently incapacitated” due to early-onset dementia. Morrissey made the statement in court documents filed on November 12 in New York, claiming Williams’ cognitive health had deteriorated. The filing was part of a lawsuit against A+E Networks over the Lifetime documentary Where Is Wendy Williams?, which explored her struggles with addiction and financial issues.

Wendy Williams Outside After “Permanently Incapacitated” Claims

According to Morrissey, Williams’ diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia and aphasia, which affects memory and behavior, was evident during the filming of the documentary. Despite her condition, the producers allegedly continued with the project, generating significant revenue. Morrissey contends that Williams was exploited, receiving only $82,000 for her involvement while the series profited millions. The lawsuit seeks additional compensation for Williams and requests that sensitive details about her health and private life be redacted to protect her dignity.

A+E Networks has denied wrongdoing, arguing that Morrissey failed to safeguard Williams during the production process. The network claims that Williams participated willingly and that Morrissey did not intervene or raise objections during the filming. The controversy adds to the growing concerns over Williams’ well-being as she remains under guardianship due to her declining health. While fans were heartened to see her smiling, the sighting also underscored the ongoing challenges the once-vibrant TV icon faces.

Jamie Foxx Delivers Heartfelt Message To Fans After Restaurant Altercation

Earlier this week, Jamie Foxx stopped by the Beverly Hills restaurant Mr. Chow to celebrate his birthday. He was joined by his daughters Corinne and Anelise Foxx as well as his ex Kristin Grannis. Unfortunately, however, their evening took an unexpected turn when Foxx got into it with another diner. According to a rep for Foxx, someone at the restaurant threw a glass at him, hitting him in the face. This left him in need of medical attention. For now, it remains unclear what prompted the altercation.

“Jamie Foxx was at his birthday dinner when someone from another table threw a glass that hit him in the mouth,” the rep told TMZ yesterday. “He had to get stitches and is recovering. The police were called and the matter is now in law enforcement’s hands.” Now, Foxx has taken to social media to thank his fans for their support as he heals from the upsetting encounter.

“Family Matters” Mess: Jaleel White Slammed For Black “Hood Shows” Shade

Once upon a time, Family Matters was one of the most popular sitcoms on television, thanks to a thriving cast centered around Jaleel White’s unforgettable character, Steve Urkel. From 1989 to 1998, Family Matters was a global phenomenon for nine seasons. While the Perfect Strangers spin-off was initially all about the Winslow family, it didn’t take long for Urkel, the nerdy neighbor, to steal the hearts of audiences. Urkel’s signature phrase, “Did I do that?” became a moneymaker—as did the Urkel dance, dolls, and other merchandise that helped thrust the cast and Jaleel White into a level of international fame that few have compiled.

Since the show wrapped, some have called for a reunion, like many other shows of that time have done. However, there have been rumors of inner strife on set over the years. White’s co-star, Jo Marie Payton, who portrayed Harriette Winslow, sat down with Entertainment Tonight two years ago to explain what life was like behind the scenes. She claimed White “didn’t have the etiquette” and further asserted that, allegedly, “he actually wanted to physically fight me.”

“There was something that he wanted to do and I said we can’t do that, standards and practices will not let that pass. It’s not gonna happen,” said Payton. “He wanted to do it anyway. He was so mad, he started kicking and screaming and stuff.” Following her interview, murmurings of diva behavior from White ran rampant. Still, there was a push for the cast to reunite a la The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, but it never materialized. Then, in November 2024, White released his memoir Growing Up Urkel. During his press run, the actor garnered backlash suggesting Black viewers didn’t give enough respect to Family Matters because it wasn’t “hood.”

What Did He Say About “Hood Shows”?!

As celebrated as Family Matters has been for decades, Jaleel White doesn’t feel the love. According to him, the sitcom has been left out of “Favorite Black Shows” conversations because Family Matters, a part of ABC’s famed “TGIF” Friday line-up, didn’t fit a certain stereotype. He visited the Wilmington Library for a chat about his memoir, and while there, he made some controversial statements that gained adverse reactions.

“Being a part of the ‘TGIF’ brand sometimes makes you feel like you don’t belong in the pantheon of Blackness,” the actor said. “Blackness has been treated as a very monolithic experience in entertainment. ‘If it’s not a hood story, it’s not a Black story.’ And you know, sometimes I feel left out of that.” White added, “If there’s ever a poll, and they say, ‘What are your favorite Black shows?’ Martin is in there, Living SingleI already know we’re coming in last. But if there’s ever a poll and it’s just your favorite family shows, suddenly we rank really high. So, it’s kind of interesting in how we look at ourselves even as Black folks.”

The Push-Back Has To Do With Family Matters, Not The Hood

We have to take a good look at what Family Matters was poised to be. It was an extreme on a Black nerd and his integration with a wholesome Black family from Chicago. For almost a decade, fans watched as their favorite characters evolved—sort of. Whereas with shows like Living Single and, let’s say, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, the comedic plot points tackled racism, classism, fluctuating relationship dynamics, and a desire to work hard in a society that often has its foot on the necks of marginalized communities. There was personal growth and lessons to be learned that seemed applicable to audiences of all backgrounds. However, they pointed to the Black community, often incorporating our language, culture, music, entertainment, and history, and working hard to help fight the system.

This isn’t to say that Family Matters didn’t address issues centered on Black culture; yet, overall, the series was added to a lineup of shows with predominately white casts, including Boy Meets World, Step By Step, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and Full House. Its appeal was geared toward a particular audience, and ABC wanted viewers to stay stuck to the network for hours on end rather than flip channels. It was a mold that saw Family Matters acquire success but was rooted in overdramatization. Living Single and Martin weren’t series that focused on “hood” narratives—it wasn’t as if they were New Jack City. They featured groups of friends who were all professionals, working hard to make names for themselves in a competitive workspace. Except for Tommy, we’re still not sure what he did for a living.

Family Matters Was Cute But Lacked Relatability

To begin with, as someone who grew up as a Black nerd—or Blerd, if you will—and had friends with similar interests, no one I knew was like Steve Urkel. Whereas we knew women like Living Single‘s Khadija James, with aspirations of bringing light to her culture, or Regine Hunter, who wanted a rich man to match her bougie attitude, Urkel was an embellishment that didn’t land in reality. Many of us had friends like Martin‘s Martin Payne, an over-the-top personality who cracked jokes at our friends’ expense, but we knew it was all in love. These shows weren’t “hood” because they were all Black casts; they were sympathetic because, as adorned as the plots were, we could see ourselves going through similar scenarios. Plus, they were just hilarious.

Yet, remember when Family Matters introduced “Stefan Urquelle,” Urkel’s alter ego created by using a machine that split his DNA? Not to mention Urkel’s inflated look, excessively clumsy nature that often destroyed entire sets, extreme reactions to his adoration for classmate Laura Winslow, and overblown comedic moments made for laughs, not connection. Family Matters was what its title entailed: an uncontroversial, comfy, family-friendly show that didn’t particularly push the envelope. Its safety let us walk away with a warm fuzzy feeling that didn’t push back on issues plaguing the late ’80s and early ’90s. Further, the show quickly became all about Urkel, making the “family” part of it all more like a subplot.

Put Some Respect On The Queen & Comedy Giant

Further, for White to mention Living Single and Martin is interesting. Particularly because the stars of these two classics had a background in art forms that laid the foundations of Black culture. Prior to taking over the airwaves with his own series, Martin Lawrence made a broad name for himself on the stand-up circuit. His first silver screen acting gig came courtesy of Spike Lee’s politically charged Do The Right Thing. Then, he followed up with House Party and House Party 2 alongside Kid ‘N Play, etching his name in comedy across various mediums. Not to mention, he also hosted Def Comedy Jam, further cementing his icon status as one of the funniest comedians in his heyday.

Additionally, Queen Latifah’s background shouldn’t even need an explanation. Her additions to Hip Hop have made her a G.O.A.T. in her own right as a femcee who has influenced many of our favorite artists today. In the ’90s, Queen Latifah, real name Dana Owens, also had roles in films like Jungle Fever and joined Lawrence in House Party 2. Before Living Single, she even made a guest appearance on Fresh Prince. We recognized Queen Latifah, Martin Lawrence, and even Will Smith from other works we loved as a culture. There was already a rooted familiarity with who they were—or at least presented themselves to be—whereas Urkel was, well, a character on a primetime lineup that brought laughs.

It’s Not Us, It’s You

It seems as if White’s real problem is that Family Matters doesn’t have the same replay value as the shows he criticizes. The Golden Era of Black television gave us sitcoms that we can repeatedly binge-watch from beginning to end throughout various stages of our lives. Family Matters, however, can be challenging to get through due to its, dare we say, corny nature. That doesn’t mean it was a bad show; nine seasons on television proves otherwise. White may be more upset that his entire career and developmental stages of his youth were built on a whiny yet lovable geek, and it’s possible he’s faced people in real life who have treated him as such.

His condemnation of Black viewers not hailing Family Matters as equal to Living Single or Martin, and his love for Seinfeld, is telling. Many Family Matters fans from back in the day outgrew the show. Those “hood” shows he spoke of—we grew with and into them as we understood the messages in our maturation. And frankly, we’re not sure where Family Matters would rank in a list of all-time favorite family sitcoms. Don’t get us wrong, it still is significant and portrayed a Black family in ways that non-Black audiences needed to see, but Jaleel White needs a reality check on why he really has an issue with Black viewers not praising him as much as we do the Fresh Prince.

Offset Allegedly Hacked As Heated Exchange Between Cardi B About Cheating And Her Pregnancy Gets Leaked

Once again, the tumultuous relationship between Offset and Cardi B continues to be put on public display. That’s remained the case even though the two rap phenoms have been separate since the beginning of August. However, this time it appears that it was done on their own accord. According to a repost from DJ Akademiks, some of his text messages were allegedly leaked by someone online. It’s possibly a fact also because he tweeted in response, “bruh what happened here.” As you would come to expect, the exchange is tense, messy, and nasty. The thread is started by Offset, who appears to be attempting to get a hold of Cardi B.

The chain begins with a “Yooo” at 5:14 a.m., with a follow-up at 5:29 a.m. that reads, “Keep my child.” This could be an allusion to Cardi’s third child that she gave birth to back in September. It’s worth noting that all of these messages were sent back on March 20. Additionally, this appears to be around the time that the FATHER OF 4 rapper was just finding out about their now newborn daughter. Still, Offset is without an answer, so he then proceeds to send a beefy paragraph in which he goes in on Cardi for once again accusing her of having this child with someone else.

It wouldn’t be until 5:55 p.m. that Cardi B would hit back and hard. In her response, she accuses him of cheating and not owning up to it, all while revealing the person he was messing with. “Lol you don’t gotta answer the phone just wanted to show why I don’t f*** wit you. Everyone know about you and pree EVERYONE KNOWS,” she adamantly said. “That’s your girlfriend and on top of that you couldn’t stand up like a man for kulture and Shya and your mom robbed me cold.” There’s a lot to unpack and for both to address. It also shows just how long Cardi was planning on divorcing him. Finally, all of these texts were allegedly leaked on Offset’s birthday. Talk about ruining a special day.

Jamie Foxx Hit In The Mouth With Glass During Wild Restaurant Fight

Recently, Jamie Foxx visited the Beverly Hills restaurant Mr. Chow for his birthday. He was joined by his daughters Corinne and Anelise Foxx, as well as his ex Kristin Grannis. Unfortunately, however, it looks like the wholesome outing took a turn for the worse. Today, it was reported that Foxx was involved in a fight involving other diners and that he was possibly injured. This was unconfirmed at first, as Foxx did not stick around long enough to receive any kind of medical attention.

Now, a spokesperson for the personality has released a statement about the incident, confirming that Foxx was actually injured. “Jamie Foxx was at his birthday dinner when someone from another table threw a glass that hit him in the mouth,” they revealed. “He had to get stitches and is recovering. The police were called and the matter is now in law enforcement’s hands.”

At the time of writing, it remains unclear exactly what led up to the explosive altercation. With that being said, fans are glad to hear that Foxx is on the road to recovery. This is far from the first medical issue he’s dealt with lately, as he just opened up about suffering a stroke and brain bleed during his new Netflix special. According to him, it all started with a bad headache in April of 2023.

Your life doesn’t flash before your face. It was kind of oddly peaceful. I saw the tunnel, I didn’t see the light. I was in that tunnel, though. It was hot in that tunnel. Sh*t, am I going to the wrong place in this motherf*cker?” he joked of being unconscious. “Because I looked at the end of the tunnel, and I thought I saw the devil like, ‘Come on.’”

Eminem Will Have A Role In Adam Sandler’s Sequel For “Happy Gilmore 2”

Guess who’s back? Back [on the big screen] again? It’s Eminem, and he’s coming to a major project that’s coming out sometime next year. According to XXL, comedian extraordinaire Adam Sandler made an appearance on the Dan Patrick Show to discuss Happy Gilmore 2. Yes, after nearly 30 years since the original classic, a sequel is currently in the works. In fact, when the interview between Patrick and Sandler was posted online, they were wrapping up filming. Netlfix announced in May of this year they were picking up the project, so it looks like it won’t have a theatrical release. Still, given how many fans adore the inaugural film, it should get a lot of streams.

Speaking about its premiere, that remains to be seen. Sandler was not able to give a clear-cut answer to Patrick when asked. “I don’t know 100%, but I think around July. Not July 4, but we’re trying to get it done in time for July. (But) you never know what’s going to happen. We’re just finishing today.” That was the theme for most of their chat, as Sandler was not able to share a lot of information regarding its plot or characters.

Adam Sandler On Eminem’s Acting Chops

However, he did manage to share some anyway, especially in the cameo department. As we hinted at the beginning, Eminem was going to be involved one way or another. From the sounds of it, he won’t have a major role. But Sandler was very impressed with his work on set. “Eminem was cool. He came by and he was great,” he began.

“He came and was funny as hell. I think we just hung out a day with Eminem. He just shot and shot and it was insane. [He] said a million things that we can use and a million things that we’re glad we have them on tape.” Funny enough, this isn’t the first time that these two have been in a film together. Back in 2009, Slim Shady, Sandler, Leslie Mann, Seth Rogan, and Jonah Hill were in a project called Funny People. Other notable cameos in Happy Gilmore 2 will include Bad Bunny, Travis Kelce, among others.

DDG Calls Out Gossip Blogs As Recent Comments About Halle Bailey Were Chopped Out Of Context

DDG is all sorts of enraged today following a recent collaboration with streamer, plaqueboymax. The rapper and fellow content creator was on his platform, and he participated in a segment similar to “Hot Ones” called “Dry Ones.” It’s also a Q&A and if you decide to not answer the question posed to you, the person has to eat a Popeyes biscuit. At around the 21-minute mark of the YouTube clip below it becomes plaqueboymax’s turn to ask DDG a singeing question. After some deliberating, he decides to ask him who his favorite ex was that he actually dated. Immediately, the Michigan native was already imagining the “TikTok clip” coming.

But he played along anyway and said that it was someone whose name “starts with a K.” He had said that it’s been about five years since they last spoke. However, he did admit that they “had a good run.” DDG, being in the public eye for a while, read the situation perfectly, because The Shade Room clipped his answer and reshared it on social media. But this has since led to a lot of angry reactions from fans who saw the full stream, and DDG himself.

What the clip from the outlet doesn’t show that the YouTube one does is what he says prior to his answer. “‘Cause we ain’t talkin’ about family.” Plaqueboymax then wanted to clarify, “So favorite ex besides… you know.” Of course, they are referring to one Halle Bailey, whom DDG split up from earlier this year. Many fans pointed out this fact in the comments section of The Shade Room‘s repost. “The SHADEroom purposely cut out the besides Halle part. Yal really are a BIG part of the problem 🤦🏽‍♀️” one user writes.

“Shade room intentionally left off the Halle part bro they really be working overtime to promote drama 😂” another adds. DDG also went off on the media outlet for doing so. “HALLE IS NOT MY EX, SHE IS MY FAMILY, I EXCLUDED HER. I DONT GIVE A 2 F*CKS ABOUT THAT OTHER WOMAN, IM JUST PLAYING THE GAME. THIS IS OUT OF CONTEXT!” Based on the all-caps writing and language used, you can tell he’s visibly upset with how this was handled. In hindsight, he might have been better off just eating another biscuit and calling it a day. On the other hand, he did want to play along and provide content for plaqueboymax, so he was really in a sticky situation from the jump.

Will Smith Addresses Diddy “Freak Off” Rumors

In recent months, Diddy has made plenty of headlines for the surplus of disturbing allegations he’s facing. The Bad Boy founder was arrested back in September on charges related to alleged sex trafficking and racketeering and is expected to go on trial in May of 2025. On top of this, he’s been hit with countless lawsuits from men and women accusing him of sexual assault, abuse, and more.

Of course, this has resulted in public outrage, and has many of his celebrity peers keeping their distance. Will Smith, for example, recently decided to set the record straight about his own relationship with the mogul. During his set at The Observatory in San Diego yesterday, he clarified that they’ve never been close despite internet rumors. He also encouraged fans to stop creating memes tying the two of them together. “I don’t have s*** to do with Puffy, so y’all can stop all the memes,” he stated. Smith didn’t stop there, however.

“I Don’t Have Sh*t To Do With Puffy,” Will Smith Clarifies

He went on to make it crystal clear that he’s never attended one of Diddy’s alleged drug-fueled sex parties dubbed “freak offs,” and that he doesn’t even like baby oil. Smith added that he has enough drama of his own to worry about and certainly doesn’t need to carry the burden of someone else’s. “I usually don’t respond to d*mba** stuff,” he concluded. “But that one, your memes was doing too much.” Supporters can’t blame Smith for wanting to clear his name amid Diddy’s legal battle, particularly considering the extreme nature of the allegations he’s facing.

Just this week, three more alleged victims filed lawsuits against Diddy, accusing him of drugging and sexually assaulting them. His legal team has since denied the allegations on his behalf. “These complaints are full of lies,” they told TMZ Hip Hop yesterday. “We will prove them false and seek sanctions against every unethical lawyer who filed fictional claims against him.”
