Tucker Carlson is easily one of the most famous Conservative talk show hosts in the world. His nightly show on Fox News was consumed by millions of people, every single day. Moreover, he has gained quite a bit of influence within the Republican party. Overall, he is someone who is extremely controversial. However, his large audience has always loved him for it. Even if he was mostly seen complaining about the promiscuity of M&M characters, he still gets a ton of clicks.

Now, however, it appears as though Tucker Carlson and Fox News are no longer an item. It was revealed by the network today that Carlson was being let go. Although, they did not provide an exact reason for his dismissal. Additionally, it was made clear that he has already hosted his last show. Subsequently, they will now be looking for someone to fill his spot. Needless to say, this is a very unexpected change given everything he has done for the network, whether good or bad.

According to Axios, this comes at a very interesting and peculiar time for Fox News. The network reached a massive settlement with Dominion Voting Systems worth $787 million. Numerous hosts on the network peddled the conspiracy that there was widespread election fraud in 2020. Furthermore, some claimed that the voting machines were replacing Trump votes with Biden votes. Consequently, Dominion decided to sue, and now here we are. Whether or not this had anything to do with Tucker Carlson and his dismissal, is unknown.

Lizzo Defies Tennessee Anti-Drag Law At Tour Stop

Signed into law on March 2, Tennessee Senate Bill 3 bans “topless dancers, go-go dancers, exotic dancers, strippers, male or female impersonators in presence of minors.” Touted as a “child protection” bill, it is one of the dozens filed across multiple states. It is part of a wider trend of the hundreds of bills that target the LQBTQ+ community in the United States. Furthermore, SB3 shields itself from criticism by grouping drag performers in with adult entertainment acts. By putting “male and female impersonators” alongside “strippers”, it sets the tone for the bill’s perspective.

While the legislation was temporarily blocked by a federal judge, citing first amendment concerns, it looms large in Tennessee. Enter Lizzo, a loud and proud LGBTQ+ ally. Lizzo, since gaining her international stardom, has never been afraid to support the queer community. “It means so much because the LGBTQ community has embraced me as one of their own,” she told The Gay Times. Recently, the beloved singer took on the repressive legislation in her own way during a recent concert in the state.

Lizzo Welcomes Drag Queens On Stage

Lizzo is currently on the second leg of her Special 2our, which kicked off at the Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville. At the climax of the show, Lizzo invited multiple drag queens onto the stage to perform alongside her. It was a bold and brazen act of defiance against the legislation, which currently sits in legal limbo. The queens are all local to Tennessee, according to reports. The on-stage moment showcases the thriving scene present in the state despite the ban.

Posting to social media, Lizzo shared the moment with her fans. “THANK YOU TO THESE BEAUTIFUL DRAG QUEENS FOR SHOWING THEIR PRIDE IN TENNESSEE” she captioned the clip, along with a rainbow of hearts. The replies were filled with heartfelt messages from fans and queens alike, overwhelmed by Lizzo’s actions. Lizzo is set to perform again in Tennessee on Monday, taking to the stage at the FedEx Forum in Memphis. Lizzo also has upcoming shows in Missouri and Louisiana. Missouri is attempting to pass a law that would “criminalize engaging, organizing, or authorizing the viewing of an adult cabaret performance on public property.” Louisiana has not yet seen anti-drag legislation but it could occur in the conservative-leaning state.

Trump Never Invited The Obamas Back To The White House

There is a long-standing tradition in American politics. As president, you are meant to invite your predecessor back to the White House for the unveiling and hanging of their official Presidential Portrait. Once a staple of the Presidential experience, it was Jackie Kennedy who restarted the tradition in the 1960s.

The tradition of the current President helping unveil the portrait of the previous President started in earnest under President Carter. Carter invited President Ford back to the White House in 1978 to hang Ford’s portrait. The tradition continued from there, with the exception of Carter who requested that there be no ceremony. Bush I invited back Reagan, Clinton invited back Bush I, Bush II invited back Clinton, and Obama invited back Bush II. However, the trend stopped under Trump, who did not extend an invitation to the Obamas. Their portraits were instead unveiled in 2022 by President Biden.

Appearing on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, the former First Lady did not hold back. She cut Fallon off as he tried to lead into a question about being invited back under the Biden administration. “Wasn’t invited,” Obama quipped, smirking as the jab threw Fallon off before following up with an “oooh shade.” She then went on to clarify what she meant, “That’s tradition. You do your official portraits. The next president is supposed to invite you back to hang them. We were never invited back. So, these pictures had been done for a long, long time.”

Trump has had a…thorny relationship with his Presidential predecessor to say the least. Reports claim that Trump had the toilets replaced in the White House after the Obamas left. Furthermore, Trump was a very prominent voice in the “Birther movement”, the right-wing conspiracy that Obama was not a US citizen. Despite running against Hilary Clinton in 2016, Trump always positioned himself as an antidote to the Obama era. A president almost famous for his reckless abandonment of protocol, this latest claim of both shunning tradition and snubbing the Obamas is unsurprising. It is unclear when the official portraits of the Trumps will be completed.

Donald Trump Offers Supporters His Half-Eaten Pizza

Donald Trump offered a crowd of his supporters a slice of pizza he already bit into at Downtown House of Pizza in Fort Meyers, Florida, on Friday night. CNN reporter Kate Sullivan posted a video of the interaction on Twitter afterward. Earlier in the day, Trump had attended the Lee County Republican Party’s Lincoln Reagan Dinner.

In the video from the event, the former president can be seen holding up a box of pepperoni pizza as the crowd chants his name. “Does anybody want a piece that I’ve eaten?” Trump asks at one point. The crowd yells back “No!” in unison as Trump laughs. The clip has been going viral on social media over the weekend.

The pizza incident comes after Trump fired off an email attacking Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis earlier in the night. Trump remarked that Florida is “among the worst states” to live, die, pay taxes, and “be safe”, among other complaints. Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung added: “The real DeSantis record is one of misery and despair. He has left a wake of destruction all across Florida and people are hurting because he has spent more time playing public relations games instead of actually doing the hard-work needed to improve the lives of the people he represents.”

The email is just the latest in a number of attacks Trump has made at DeSantis as the 2024 campaign heats up. Earlier this month, a pro-Trump super PAC launched an ad targeting DeSantis’ “pudding fingers,” referencing a story of a time he allegedly ate pudding without a spoon. “Ron DeSantis loves sticking his fingers where they don’t belong. And we’re not just talking about pudding,” the ad reads. “DeSantis has his dirty fingers all over senior entitlements, like cutting Medicare, slashing Social Security, and even raising our retirement age.” In addition to the ad airing on CNN and Fox, the Trump campaign also tweeted it out.

Phil Jackson Hasn’t Watched The NBA Since 2020

Phil Jackson is hailed as one of the greatest minds in basketball. The man behind the triangle offense, Jackson won 11 NBA titles with the Bulls and Lakers. Furthermore, his journey from Division II to Hall of Fame coach has been an inspiration to many. The coach was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2007. Jackson retired in 2011 after a 44-year career of playing and coaching.

However, it turns out that Jackson hasn’t watched much of the NBA in past seasons. In a recent appearance on Rick Rubin’s podcast, Jackson revealed that he hadn’t watched the NBA since the pandemic Bubble in 2020. Additionally, Jackson has no intention of resuming any time soon. Furthermore, Jackson’s reason for why he stopped watching has incensed many people.

BLM Caused Jackson To Stop Watching

Jackson’s divisive reasoning for why he stopped watching the NBA was due to the league’s support of the Black Lives Matter movement. The legendary coach said the league did something “wanky” during the Bubble playoffs, referring to the league’s heavy support of the BLM protests. In wake of the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis, the NBA adopted a number of BLM visuals. This included floor decals and player-worn shirts. It appears as though the league’s embrace of racial justice protests turned off Jackson. Jackson also made comments implying that there should be a separation of church and state when it comes to sports and politics. He cited examples of athletes who had become politicians to reinforce this.

However, while Jackson could simply oppose the blurring of lines between sports and politics, is there something more at play here? There have been reports of the past of racist comments made by Jackson towards Black players. Scottie Pippen straight-up called him a racist while Robert Horry said Jackson wasn’t a racist but had made “master” comments. Is it possible that Jackson was opposed more to the BLM movement itself, rather than its presence around the NBA? Jackson has never been public about his political beliefs. The inclusion of BLM content in the NBA sparked a major debate in 2020, and that still continues to this day.

Afroman Launches His Presidential Campaign

Afroman might be known for his classic stoner anthems. However, dope raps aren’t the only thing on his resume. Now he’s added politics, as he sets to blaze a new trail, the campaign trail. While it might seem farfetched, Afroman has set his plan in motion. According to documents obtained by TMZ, he officially turned in the necessary documents to run for our nation’s highest elected position. Afroman didn’t get high and forget to turn in his documents.

Reportedly, he turned in all the necessary documents on April 18, just in time for 4/20. Since filing the paperwork, Afroman’s presidential committee is named, “Joseph Afroman Foreman for President.” Although we all thought he would be running for the green party, Afroman is running as an Independent. The “Because I Got High” rapper announced his presidential run back in December 2022 during a concert in Missouri. While we’re already thinking about the 2024 election, Afroman has dubbed it the “20-20-FRO” election.

Afroman’s Blazin’ Up The Polls

While it may be no secret, Afroman’s campaign platform will focus (unsurprisingly) on the national legalization of marijuana. However, it’s still unclear where he stands on international and domestic issues. Since filing the official presidential candidacy paperwork two days shy of 4/20, it’s clear Afroman is more than serious about his election run. The “Colt .45” rapper has his priorities straight and is making an honest attempt to run for president by officially throwing his name in the hat. While some might see him as a one-hit wonder looking to get a few clicks, he’s clearly put the work in.

Although it remains a mystery as to what his overall campaign strategy is. It’s nice to see someone running with a few new ideas on how they can help better the country. Afroman isn’t the first celebrity to take a swing at politics, especially running for the nation’s highest office. However, he is the first to make his bid official for the 2024 election. It remains to be seen if any other celebs will throw their name in the running. Though Ye did mention running again in 2024, it’s safe to say we probably won’t see his name on the ballot. Donald Trump is a man who is not afraid to lash out when he feels as though he has been threatened or disrespected. The former President of the United States has very little impulse control. Overall, that is part of the reason why he is no longer in office. Moreover, people just felt turned off by his brand of politics. Either way, there is no doubt that Trump is a polarizing figure. However, he is still running for President in 2024, which means we will be hearing a whole lot more from him, in the future.

In fact, Donald Trump is currently finding a new enemy in Elon Musk. Recently, Elon sat down with Tucker Carlson of Fox News to discuss political projects, Twitter, and a whole lot more. During this interview, Elon came out and said that he voted for Joe Biden in 2020. I’m not saying I’m a huge fan of Biden, since that would be inaccurate,” Musk revealed. “I would prefer, frankly, that we put just a normal person as president. A normal person with common sense. Whose values are in the middle of the country.” Of course, this set Trump off, who went scorched earth on Truth Social.

His space company, car company, battery company, tunnel company, and even Twitter, which was illegally controlled by the FBI, need government HELP & SUBSIDIES.”

Needless to say, it is clear that Donald Trump is accusing Musk of being some sort of liar. These two fighting is going to create even more polarization amongst the right-wing base. “The Minaj Act”: George Santos New Bill Named After Nicki Minaj

The Queen of Rap just can’t help but be influential. Nicki Minaj is the subject of a new bill drawn up by none other than disgraced New York congressman and part-time drag queen, George Santos. Some may recognize his name from the firestorm that surrounded him in the press over the last few months. The congressman has been a vocal supporter of the Republican Party and some of the most far-right conservatives in politics. However, as drag performances have become the target of Republican ire as of late, Santos has been exposed as a former drag queen himself. In addition, he was also exposed for lying extensively on his resume about not his education and his work history.

Now, it has been revealed that George Santos has proposed a new bill called “The Minaj Act.” As strange as it may seem, the bill is indeed named after Nicki Minaj. The reason for this? Back in the height of the vaccine madness, the Queen made a pretty controversial tweet. “My cousin in Trinidad won’t get the vaccine cuz his friend got it & became impotent,” she said. “So just pray on it & make sure you’re comfortable with ur decision, not bullied.” While the bottom line of the message may have been good intentioned, fear mongering might not be the best way to get it across. Then you get situations like the current one, where far right Republicans name bills after you. The bill would seek to generate public confidence in vaccines before they are made available.

George Santos’ Not-So-Hidden Past

George Santos has proven to be as untrustworthy as they come. Not only has he lied extensively, he has also proven his unwavering support of former president Donald Trump. He was one of the few that showed up for Trump when he was hauled in after his indictment. When you and Marjorie Taylor Greene are the two showing up to support, it’s not a good sign. However, perhaps the most hilarious and outrageous of Santos’ lies is the one where he denies ever having been a drag queen. Apparently he didn’t know that there is plenty of photo and video evidence.

“The most recent obsession from the media claiming that I am a drag Queen or “performed” as a drag Queen is categorically false,” Santos said on twitter. “The media continues to make outrageous claims about my life while I am working to deliver results.
