Ice-T Gets Choked Up Discussing 2Pac On “Drink Champs”

Ice-T got emotional while discussing his relationship with 2Pac during his latest appearance on the Drink Champs podcast. The rapper was explaining that Death Row Records was “training him to be a killer” before his death. The conversation began with N.O.R.E. asking about the differences between ‘Pac’s early career as a backup dancer and MC for Digital Underground and the superstardom that followed.

“Absolutely,” Ice-T answered. “When I first met ‘Pac and Money-B and all them, it was Digital Underground, so you got Shock G who’s a hundred percent different. I didn’t even recognize ‘Pac as militant or nothing like that, just as a dancer, friend, cool.

Ice-T At The Grammys

He continued: “And when he came out, I was like, ‘Yo, that’s the same dude!’ But I couldn’t disrespect him because his lyrics were deep, and I got to work on [Strictly 4 My N.*.*.*.A.Z…] — me, him and Cube on ‘Last Wordz.’ So what people don’t understand is, I love ‘Pac. But he’s an artist to me, he was just another artist. People are like, ‘Pac is a God!’ But ‘Pac is an artist. We were friends.”

From there, he recalled a time Shock G came to his house to ask for help regarding 2Pac. “I had a story where Shock G came to my house,” he said. “I lived in the Hollywood Hills, Shock came to my door. I said, ‘Why the fuck you knocking on my door?’ He said, ‘I was up in the Hills, I asked does any Black people live up here.’ They said, ‘Ice lives right over there.’ So Shock knocked on my door. We sat down and he was like, ‘Ice, talk to ‘Pac, man. They feeding ‘Pac gunpowder. ‘Pac is not listening to me.’” It’s at this point in the interview that Ice-T begins to get choked up.

Ice-T Reflects On 2Pac Friendship

Ice-T eventually regained his composure and continued: “See the thing is, when you working with a rapper, you have to get a rapper in a state of mind. Death Row was training ‘Pac to be a killer, which you heard in the music. But I did a thing for Mike Tyson which is like, you train a man to be a pitbull then you get mad when he eats the furniture. You see what I mean? So that energy bled into the streets, to his demise.”

Wack 100 Says Carlishia Hood’s Son “Did What He Was Supposed To Do”

During a recent podcast appearance, Wack 100 discussed the case of Carlishia Hood and her son. In June, Hood got into an altercation with a man in a Chicago restaurant. The altercation escalated, and the man was later shot by Carlishia’s teenage son. The man, Jeremy Brown, died as a result of his injuries. Carlishia was later accused of telling her son to kill him, and both her and the teen were charged with first-degree murder. Charges against both of them were eventually dropped.

“That little motherf***er already had a fun,” Wack 100 says, “that ain’t his first time doing that.” He went on to explain that regardless of the circumstances leading up to the shooting, he believes the boy was in the right to defend his mother. He says his own children have experience with weapons too, going to the shooting range since they were young. “I watched him come and post up by that door,” Wack 100 says, “He did what he was supposed to do when that man started beating his mother.”

Wack 100 Believes The Teen Was In The Right

After Hood and her son were charged, footage of the incident began circulating the internet. In the footage, Brown is seen punching the woman before being shot. When charges against her were dropped, she filed a lawsuit against the City of Chicago as well as five police officers. “I’ve experienced pain in many ways that I would never have thought,” she said. Hood continued, ”What happened to me was totally unnecessary. Never in a million years would I have imagined being brutally attacked, beaten and being arrested.”

Nicki Minaj also shared her thoughts on the situation last week. She called the teen boy a “hero” for reacting how he did when Brown hit his mother, even offering to pay his college tuition. “[Carlishia] raised a dope kid & should be so proud,” she wrote on Instagram.

6ix9ine’s Alleged Baby Mama Says He Ghosted Her, Wants Child Support

Recently, a woman claiming to be the mother of 6ix9ine’s child appeared on the We In Miami podcast. During her appearance, she says the rapper ghosted her when she went into labor, claiming that he was trying to “hide” her and their child. The woman, Roz Verde, says that she now wants child support.

As soon as I told him my water broke that n***a ran,” Verde claims, “He has not come to see me.” She continues, explaining that she feels as though she has no choice but to put him on child support. “I’m a b*tch that need to be put up, period,” she says, “I’m not struggling and I’m not working hard.” Verde goes on, claiming that she wants the rapper to pay her $50,000 per month in child support. She then jokingly asks the rapper to “come back” to her, claiming that she doesn’t want to make him pay child support.

Alleged Baby Mama Wants $50K Per Month

Verde explains that she believed 6ix9ine would have provided her with “some hush money or something” for keeping their alleged offspring a secret. “It’s slightly transactional,” she says, “I’m not gonna lie.” She says that though the rapper used to be “consistent” with their relationship, the birth of the child changed everything. It’s currently unconfirmed whether or not the child is actually 6ix9ine’s. When the podcast’s host asks Verde if they’ve done a paternity test, she simply shows him a picture of the child, asking him “have you seen my baby?”

6ix9ine, on the other hand, has been showing off his new relationship on social media as of late. Recently, he went live on Instagram with the Dominican artist, Yailin La Más Viral. The couple also appeared on a podcast earlier this month, where they discussed his previous beef with Cardi B. 6ix9ine claims that his ex girlfriend, Jade, was responsible for the feud. Both he and Yailin La Más Viral say that they’re now Cardi supporters.

Lil Yachty Reveals Why He Hates Sean Paul

During the first episode of his new podcast, “A Safe Place,” Lil Yachty revealed the reason he isn’t a fan of Jamaican artist Sean Paul. He explained that the artist dissed him during a radio appearance, and ever since, he doesn’t “f**k with” him. Lil Yachty announced the new podcast earlier this month, urging fans to send him questions he can answer on the show.

In the episode, titled “The Art Of Hate,” Lil Yachty and his co-host MitchGoneMad discussed artists that fell off. When MitchGoneMad mentioned Sean Paul, Yachty explained that the artist never really “fell off,” but instead simply stopped putting out music. He then revealed that he doesn’t like the artist, saying “f**k Sean Paul.” A clip then plays of Paul dissing him. “If it was really about talent in the hip hop industry,” Paul says in the clip, “you wouldn’t have some of these younger cats talking that.” When someone is heard mentioning the rapper, Paul agrees that he falls into this category and calls him “boat boy.”

Sean Paul Dissed Lil Yachty

Sean Paul isn’t the only artist to throw shade at Lil Yachty recently. NBA YoungBoy also took shots at the rapper in his song “F**k The Industry Pt. 2” last month. “Play with me, Lil Yachty mad about JT, f*ggot / B*tch, play with me, half of y’all ain’t got more money than me,” he raps.

YB later explained the diss on Twitter, revealing that he had tried to “check” him for talking to City Girls’ JT. “Mama, that b*tch really check me ’bout that girl,” he explained, “That b*tch checked the gangsta man.” He continued, “If I ain’t mistaken, bro, you say you asked me about trying to talk to your b*tch. And I was confused ’cause you a hoe and you was coming at me, like, I ain’t really do that. B*tch, I got a mental problem over here and I got too much money.”

The Game Clarifies That He Never Wrote Songs For 50 Cent

Recently, rumors have circulated that The Game had a hand in the writing of 50 Cent’s classic track “What Up Gangsta.” In a recent interview with Bars And Nuggets, Game cleared things up. He didn’t mince words shutting down the rumors either. “I didn’t do no writing for 50 and 50 ain’t do no writing for me,” he says in response to the rumors. Not only did he shut down this specific story, but also the idea that either artist had ever written for the other.

Even with the strong denial many fans in the comments still didn’t believe The Game. “50 cent wrote the hooks and provided the melodies for some of his biggest hits,” one comment says. “Well no, Jayceon, the difference is that there are reference tracks done by 50 for you on the internet,” another reads. Many fans take issue with the claim that 50 never did any writing for The Game. “I don’t understand how it’s reference tracks out there and he still denying it,” was a common sentiment.

The Game Clears Up Rumors

In addition to the rumors, The Game has also been dealing with legal battles. He could end up having to forfeit his wallet of cryptocurrency to pay for a 2016 sexual assault case. It’s the newest development in Priscilla Rainey’s quest to get the money she’s owed from the lawsuit. Earlier this year she targeted Game’s label Universal Music Group for the money.

The Game has been relatively quiet musically in 2023. While he’s appeared for a handful of features he hasn’t released any material of his own. Last year The Game released his 11th studio album Drillmatic – Heart vs. Mind. The album had an absolutely stacked feature list including Kanye West, Pusha T, A$AP Rocky, Lil Wayne, Roddy Rich, and MANY more. The album’s 30-song tracklist spans nearly 2 hours of music. What do you think of The Game’s claim that he and 50 Cent never wrote for each other? Tell us in the comment section below.

Bobby Shmurda Shares Lessons With His Fans

Early in his young career Bobby Shmurda definitely made some pretty major mistakes he likely regrets. Thankfully. he’s learned from much of that and now he’s trying to spread that wisdom to fans. In an interview on The Pivot podcast, Bobby dispensed some wisdom he’s learned with age. He advised fans on how to walk away from harmful situations and not be hurt by what people say. Instead, he says he now knows better than to take the bait and can choose to just move on with his life.

Fans in the comments were quick to praise Bobby Shmurda for his maturity. “This is growth. Maturity comes with time, errors, pain, reflection, and detachment. The lessons become wisdom,” one comment reads. “The mentality of a grown man that knows his worth, I hope he teaches the youth that looks up to him,” another says. Fans hope that Bobby’s message will resonate with younger rappers and prevent them from getting into the same kind of trouble that he did.

Bobby Shmurda Gives Some Advice

Recently, Bobby Shmurda received a cosign from Boosie Badazz. Boosie called Bobby “one of the realest” young rappers out right now. He’s also been very vocal recently about Gunna, Young Thug, and the YSL RICO case. He recently dropped a freestyle where he took aim at those that choose to snitch. While he doesn’t mention Gunna by name many fans were able to connect the dots. Later in the freestyle he also expresses his desire for Young Thug to be freed. It’s far from the only time he’s made his thoughts on the matter clear.

Bobby Shmurda also reacted to Gunna’s first public appearance since his plea deal. He showed up at an NBA playoff game between the Celtics and Heat last month. Shmurda expressed his disbelief that Gunna would do that while Young Thug is still in jail. What do you think of Bobby Shmurda’s advice to younger artists about walking away from fights? Let us know in the comment section below.

Blueface Blames Jaidyn Alexis For Chrisean Rock Still Being Part Of His Life

During a recent podcast appearance, Blueface blamed the mother of his two children for the fact that Chrisean Rock remains in the picture. The two sat down with The Bootleg Kev Podcast earlier this week, where they discussed ongoing drama with Chrisean. Jaidyn Alexis called the accusation “narcissistic,” going on to say that his claims are “cap.”

“I tell [Jaidyn Alexis] to this day, it’s your fault that Chrisean still exists to me,” Blueface explained to the host. Bootleg Kev notes that “that’s a very narcissistic thing to say,” and Alexis agrees. “How?” Blueface then asks both of them, “I’ve done five seasons of Blue Girls Club, I’ve never [taken] any female past that.” “That could be your truth,” Bootleg Kev tells the rapper. “But,” he continues, “it could also be an easy thing to say, to be like ‘you know this is your fault.’”

Jaidyn Alexis Calls Out Blueface’s “Narcissistic Tendencies”

Blueface goes on to claim that he’s never “done anything” in terms of promotion with any of the women who appeared on the show after the fact. “That is cap,” Alexis insists. She then says that although she doesn’t believe the rapper is a “full-blown” narcissist, she does believe that he has “narcissistic tendencies.” “Women have a way of acting out of emotion,” Blueface claims.

Chrisean Rock is currently pregnant with Blueface’s child amid ongoing drama. Known to have a contentious relationship, the two have taken several shots at each other on social media in recent months. Things between them have gotten quite ugly, and Blueface has been spending more time with Alexis as a result. He recently launched his new label, Milf Music, with the release of Alexis’ first single “Stewie.” The song references a frequent jab from her haters. Blueface only plans to sign women with children to Milf Music. He told followers last week, “You don’t have to be a rapper, I just have to see star quality in you.”

DaBaby Claims That He Beat Cancel Culture In New Interview

In case you missed it, DaBaby has recently re-emerged following somewhat of an absence from the public light. Though he released two albums last year neither of them got a whole lot of attention. BETTER THAN YOU was a collaboration with NBA Youngboy that took a pretty harsh critical beating. Later that year he released his next solo album Baby On Baby 2 though it didn’t fare much better. Recently he’s begun popping up more and more though. His new song “SHAKE SUMN” has been a viral hit that’s hung around the back end of the Hot 100 in the month since it was released. He’s also been appearing in more and more shows, interviews, and news stories.

In a new interview recorded at the BET Awards the “ROCKSTAR” rapper claims to have beaten cancel culture. The “cancel culture” he’s referring to is the backlash to homophobic comments he made during a performance. He went on a rant during a set at Rolling Loud 2021 that critics picked apart as homophobic and in bad taste. In the following days he made comments about the rant that many saw as doubling down. Now, DaBaby is framing his return to the limelight as beating cancel culture.

DaBaby’s Thoughts On His Return

Back in May, DaBaby reflected on the homophobic outburst and his response to it. While many expected him to ultimately apologize he seemed to think he could have fought the controversy even harder. He isn’t even the first person to describe his actions as overcoming cancel culture. Just last week Fat Joe praised the rapper for reportedly coming back after being “cancelled.”

Elsewhere in this interview he discusses other subjects like Boosie BadAzz’ recent arrest on federal gun charges. He also touches on J. Cole who is now a part owner of the Charlotte Hornets. Cole was part of a group that purchased DaBaby’s hometown team from previous owner Michael Jordan. The interview is brief but manages to squeeze in a variety of DaBaby’s thoughts on numerous subjects. What do you think of DaBaby’s comments on cancel culture? Let us know in the comment section below.

Kevin Durant Fires Back At Jason McIntyre

Kevin Durant was the subject of a little heat yesterday. On Monday, ‘Straight Fire‘ host Jason McIntyre needed to get something off of his chest about Durant. The show’s host claims to be tired of seeing Durant interact with negative fans on social media. The Phoenix star is well known for getting his haters riled up on Twitter when they begin to bash him. However, it didn’t take long for Durant to see the comments made by McIntyre. On Tuesday, the NBA All-Star went all in on McIntyre.

On Tuesday’s edition of McIntyre’s show, the host revealed that Durant reached out to him over social media. McIntyre read some of the messages in the back and forth with the NBA star. Durant allegedly called McIntyre a fool and a “broke boy” during their discussion. Obviously, Durant messaging McIntyre is the exact response the host was looking for. Now, McIntyre has claim to his argument that arguing with someone online isn’t a good look.

Kevin Durant Messages Jason McIntyre

Maybe this is all a troll job by Durant. The NBA superstar could be bored now that the league has entered the off-season. Whatever the case may be, Durant has now given more fuel to the fire for his haters. Which could be exactly what he wanted in the first place. Now he will have more messages to answer and tweets to send during his downtime. McIntyre claims to still be a fan of Durant, the player. However, his actions on social media seem like a waste of time to the podcast host.

We’ve reached the point in the off-season where everyone is looking for a story anywhere they can get it. If anything, McIntyre should thank Durant for this moment. Now the league can have something to talk about while waiting on the next blockbuster trade to happen. Do you agree with McIntyre that Durant should stay away from social media? Or do you enjoy it when Durant puts a hater in their place? Let us know in the comment section. For the latest sports news, keep it right here with HNHH.
