Nicki Minaj Says ‘Pink Friday 2 Tour Will Be “Greater Than Every Other Tour Combined”

Nicki Minaj Delivers Performance of "Last Time I Saw You" at VMAs

Nicki Minaj fans have been waiting for quite some time for the release of her highly-anticipated project, Pink Friday 2. And while we wait for the album’s November 17th release date, Nicki has been doing a great job of keeping up the hype.

Most recently, Queen Barbie herself went Live to her 227 million followers on Instagram to talk about the new project and its coinciding tour. Not only does she let fans into a little bit of her creative process behind her new release, she always explains that this Pink Friday 2 tour will be “greater than every other tour combined.”

Which is saying a lot! Given her Young Money labelmate Drake recently shut down arenas all over the world on his It’s All A Blur Tour.

Nick states, “Even though this album is called Pink Friday 2, even though we love the nostalgia, this will not remind you of another tour. That’s how I’ll say it. I mean, it’s gonna be greater than every other tour combined — like this album. This will be a very different feeling tour, even if you’ve been to every Nicki Minaj tour that’s ever existed. Because there are certain things that I always do similar in all my tours. This time, it’s going to be a completely different perspective.”

We can’t help but wonder exactly what this means, whether she’s talking about her performance style or her set design. But one thing’s for sure: it sounds like she’s putting a lot of time and effort into giving fans an unforgettable show!

“In addition to it being, of course, a whole new album, the approach to the tour will be very different and the feel of the tour will be very different. We still gon’ cover all the ground that is required to cover in order for y’all to know that you fucking with the best, but it won’t remind you of another tour.”

The Pink Friday 2 Tour dates have yet to be announced, but Nicki has previously revealed it should start somewhere in the first quarter of next year. In the meantime, we wait patiently for the arrival of Pink Friday 2 on November 17th, marking her first album in five years.

Fans can pre-save the album here.

Nicki Minaj Continues To Prove She’s GOATed In Unreleased Song Snippet: Preview

A decade-plus after making her debut with Pink Friday, Nicki Minaj hasn’t lost that hunger as an MC. Offset on Being Threatened by Nicki Minaj’s Husband: ‘All That S–t is a Joke’

Offset on Being Threatened by Nicki Minaj's Husband

Offset pulled up to The Breakfast Club to talk about his album, but Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy asked him about getting threatened by Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty.

“Man, please,” Offset said. “I’ll never do no lame ass shit like that. All that shit is a joke. I don’t even want to bring it up. I laugh at shit like that. I got real money, I handle real business. I’m on my way to Coach Prime on a jet. I’m 30 years old. I’m grown as hell. You know how long it took me to get away from that? That bullshit online. Anything in that manner, I just blow it off.”

Offset stated in the past, some of his decisions have cost him money, and he believes that it is a trap for him to crash out.

Beef and shots between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj are normal. Both of their husbands getting into it is a new wrinkle. Last month, Kenneth Petty threatened Offset on social media. Unfortunately for him, that threat has led to legal trouble.

According to famed court reporter Meghann Cuniff, Petty has been ordered to 120 days of house arrest by a federal judge in Los Angeles for his threats.

“Mr. Petty was recorded on video making threatening remarks towards a specific individual while in the company of someone with a criminal record,” the order reads. “This recent violation conduct raises concerns over Mr. Petty’s willingness to comply with the Court’s orders.”

Nicki Minaj’s “Pink Friday 2” Already Highest-Selling Female Rap Album Of 2023

Nicki Minaj is just ahead of the release of her eagerly-awaited new album, Pink Friday 2. The project serves as a sequel to her iconic 2010 debut, Pink Friday. Nicki gave the Barbz a taste of what’s to come with her single “Last Time I Saw You” at the end of August, and they were not disappointed. The melancholy track calls back to Nicki’s bubblegum roots, and only built more anticipation for the project. Pink Friday 2 is slated for release on November 17, 2023.

Yesterday, the hitmaker dropped off the second, vinyl-exclusive album cover for the project, and fans are loving it. The artwork features Nicki surrounded by billowing pink satin fabric, and has a dramatic edge on the surreal original. She also dropped a pre-order link for the album on the two different versions of vinyl, and fans certainly came through. Reportedly, Pink Friday 2 is already the highest-selling album from a female rapper this year, and it hasn’t even dropped yet. It’s pretty safe to say that this one will be major.

The impressive feat doesn’t come as too much of a shock, however, as Nicki’s known to have a fiercely-dedicated fanbase. She’s also gone in on promotion since announcing the album. She even recently shared plans to make every Friday Pink Friday ahead of the release. The mother of one will be providing fans who’ve pre-saved the album with special surprises each Friday leading up to the exciting arrival.

“I’m so grateful to have you guys still here holding me down,” she told the Barbz last week. “This album is the gift for your continued love & patience. You’re going to see why this one is better than all of them combined. #PinkFriday2.” What do you think of Pink Friday 2 already becoming the highest-selling female rap album of the year? Nicki MInaj Revealed That Her Elegant Second ‘Pink Friday 2’ Cover Is A Vinyl Exclusive

A month ago, Nicki Minaj revealed the Afrofuturistic cover for her upcoming album, Pink Friday 2, while also insinuating that another cover was on the way. With the album’s release date now just over a month away, the Queen from Queens has shared the second cover for the album, revealing that this one will be a vinyl exclusive. On the cover, Nicki is draped in a diaphanous Barbie-pink gown which reveals her midriff and surrounded by a billowing satin sheet.

The rollout for Pink Friday 2 has clearly been planned to perfection, with Nicki carrying her momentum from appearing on the Barbie soundtrack with Ice Spice and rolling it into the debut of her reflective lead single, “Last Time I Saw You.” From there, she revealed the cover for the album, then used her dual gigs as host and performer at the MTV VMAs to debut her new song, the release of which she later teased on social media.

It hasn’t all been smooth sailing though. She initially planned to release PF2 earlier in the year but pushed it back to ensure the maximum amount of time to work on it. And lately, her husband appears to have gotten sucked into Nicki’s long-simmering rivalry with Cardi B, threatening Cardi’s husband Offset and earning himself a few months of house arrest. Given that her beef with Cardi partially derailed her last album rollout, you really hope she learns the lesson and sticks to great imagery, sharp lyrics, and catchy beats to sell this one, because there’s more competition than ever and it looks like shes’ on the right track.

Pink Friday 2 is due on 11/17.

Nicki Minaj Reveals Second “Pink Friday 2” Album Cover

Nicki Minaj recently dropped off another surprise for fans ahead of the release of her upcoming LP, Pink Friday 2. Last week, she informed the Barbz that they’d be getting a special gift each Friday leading up to the release. Her first surprise was a heartfelt message to fans alongside a pre-save link. This Friday, she blessed them with a couple more clips of her chatting about the album. The messages weren’t the only thing the Barbz got their hands on today, however. The hitmaker also recently took to Instagram to unveil the second album cover for Pink Friday 2.

The artwork features Nicki rocking a flowy bright pink fit, surrounded by billowing darker pink fabric. The hitmaker’s face is also covered by some sheer pink fabric, giving the artwork a dark edge. The alternative cover has a more dramatic feel to it than the dreamy first, and so far, fans are loving it. Pink Friday 2 is scheduled for release on November 17 of this year.

Nicki Minaj Surprises Fans With Alternate Cover Art

In her Instagram post, Nicki also revealed that her new album is now available for pre-order on vinyl. On her official website, the original cover as well as the alternative cover are listed. The original is paired with bright aqua blue vinyl, while the alternative is paired with smoky grey-colored vinyl. It’s safe to say that fans aren’t disappointed, and can’t wait to place their orders.

The reveal also comes amid some chatter online surrounding Nicki’s missing feature on Drake’s For All The Dogs. He had promised that his new project would include their first collab in years, but the track is nowhere to be found amid the release. This has led to some speculation from fans, who suspect some potential underlying shade. What do you think of Nicki Minaj’s second album cover for Pink Friday 2? Is Nicki Minaj Featured On Drake’s ‘For All The Dogs?’

Delays be damned, Drake’s long-awaited album For All The Dogs has finally seen the light of day. The “Slime You Out” rapper brought out the big guns for the project’s special appearances. So, is Nicki Minaj featured on Drake’s For All The Dogs? Fellow musicians Bad Bunny, J. Cole, Lil Yachty, 21 Savage, Sexyy Red, and more all pop in for a guest verse. However, Drake’s Young Money comrade is notably missing.

After teasing that they were linking back up for a track in September, this blatant omission isn’t sitting well with fans. During an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, Minaj confirmed that the song would make the final tracklist, saying, “You know, I have a song on Drake’s album coming out soon, too. I love the song so much. I’ll just say I really love the song. I know my fans are going to love the song. I know the world’s going to love the song. And that’s all I will say about that.”

Later in the conversation, Minaj revealed that Drake didn’t turn in his verse for her album either. “Barbz, make sure y’all let Drizzy Drake know that Pink Friday 2 is coming out November 17 as well. And we are waiting on his contribution,” declared Minaj, instructing her fans to remind him of his obligation. Maybe Minaj’s forthcoming album will make up for the missed collaboration, or if Drake drops a deluxe edition of For All The Dogs with the unreleased track.

Take a look at some fans’ reactions below.

Nicki Minaj’s “Pink Friday” LP Turns 13

This year marks the 13th anniversary of Nicki Minaj’s debut studio album, Pink Friday. It was released on November 22, 2010, via Young Money Entertainment, Cash Money Records, and Universal Motown Records. Following a prolific mixtape run, Minaj became one of the flagship artists on Lil Wayne’s Young Money label. She displayed her ability to become a star during the early stages of her career.

Upon its release, Pink Friday debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, marking the second-highest sales week for a female rapper since Lauryn Hill. The album eventually reached No. 1 and went platinum by the end of the year. The now-triple platinum and Grammy-nominated album was just the start of the fruitful career of a hip-hop icon. Today, we are revisiting Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday for its 13th anniversary.

A Launching Pad For A Dominant Career

Nicki Minaj had already built plenty of momentum with appearances on the We Are Young Money compilation and features on songs with Mariah Carey, Usher, Ludacris, and Trey Songz. But her show-stopping verse on Kanye West’s “Monster” set the stage for her debut album.

By the time Pink Friday was released, she had already captured the attention of mainstream audiences. The album’s debut propelled her into superstar status, leading to her domination throughout the decade and bringing her “Barbie” aesthetic to life. Pink Friday contained production from Swizz Beatz, Bangladesh, T-Minus, Drew Money, as well as will.i.am and Kanye West, who also contributed vocals. Other guest features on the album included Eminem, Rihanna, Drake, and Natasha Bedingfield.

Pink Friday’s Pop Edge

Nicki Minaj’s debut album balanced her animated rap style with pop records and emotional ballads that appealed to a wider audience. Her commanding rap voice cut through the bubbly choruses on songs like “I’m The Best” and “Check it Out,” as well as the celebratory “Moment 4 Life” with Drake. However, her fierce competitive spirit also shined across the tracklist. The playful yet forceful “Roman’s Revenge” with Eminem proved she could hold her own with a lyrical giant. Meanwhile, on “Did It On’em,” she stunted on her haters.

Pink Friday also heavily showcased Nicki Minaj’s singing voice on slow ballads like “Fly” with Rihanna and “Save Me.” There is also the auto-tuned lead single, “Your Love” and the monster hit with “Super Bass” on the album’s deluxe version where Minaj fully leaned into the pop world. Nicki Minaj’s mainstream appeal was strong on Pink Friday, setting the tone for her later works that delved even deeper into the pop realm.

A Pink Future

Nicki Minaj was already an anomaly at the time of Pink Friday’s release. No other woman in hip-hop had the genre on hold like she did at the time. In retrospect, has aged, it is evident that Nicki Minaj created a world for female rappers like Iggy Azalea, Cardi B, and Doja Cat to cross over into the pop world. Overall, Pink Friday was the start of an iconic legacy from one of hip-hop’s biggest stars. Over time, it has proven to be influential in its impact on not only Nicki Minaj’s career but for women in hip hop who arrived after her. With Pink Friday 2 arriving later this year, Nicki Minaj is continuing to expand the legacy of her debut album.

Everything We Know About Nicki Minaj’s Upcoming Album, ‘Pink Friday 2’

Nicki Minaj‘s fifth studio album Pink Friday 2 is on the way. As a new era is upon us, the album rollout has been an exciting one for the Barbz. She pulled in double duty as the host of this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, and as a performer. During her performance, she performed her hit single, “Last Time I Saw You,” along with a new song, “Big Difference,” which has not yet received an official release.

Both of these songs are set to appear on Pink Friday 2, as well as the Diwali Riddim-sampling “Red Ruby Da Sleeze,” and her No. 1 hit single, “Super Freaky Girl.”

While the song “Big Difference” hasn’t gotten a streaming release yet, parts of the song played at a stop on Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour.

Minaj has been keeping much of the details under wraps, however, she has revealed the album’s November release date. She also revealed one of two cover arts for the album on her social pages.

Today (September 30), Minaj took to TikTok to reveal that she will share an album-related surprise every Friday until Pink Friday 2 drops. What these surprises will entail, she can’t reveal just quite yet. But after a five-year wait for this album era, we’re certain it will all be worth the wait.

Pink Friday 2 is out 11/17 via Republic. Find more information here.
