Drake & J. Cole Receive Gorgeous OVO Owl Cake

Drake and J. Cole are easily two of the biggest artists in all of hip-hop right now. Overall, they have delivered some massive hits both on their own and together. Now, however, they have joined forces on the It’s All A Blur – Big As The What? tour. They have been going through a plethora of big cities, and fans have enjoyed the performances so far. For the last couple of nights, they have been in St. Louis. The city loves these two artists, and it isn’t often that the Midwest gets to see superstars roll through.

That said, it seems like St. Louis decided to show out when it comes to giving the artists some welcoming presents. For instance, in the post below from DJ Akademiks, you can see that Drizzy and J. Cole got themselves an amazing OVO owl cake. This life-size owl was covered in gold and the details are extremely impressive. Moreover, the cake was surrounded by cupcakes that were dressed in logos for Lil Durk, Cole, and Drake. It was a pretty cool gift that certainly made an impression.

Drake & J. Cole Have Their Cake And Eat It Too

Now that these two are on tour, there have been rumors that a collaborative album could very well be on the horizon. Overall, this has not been confirmed, and there is no point speculating on this any further. However, it just goes to show that there is a real appetite for something fresh from these two. Cole is currently working on an album of his own, and we would not be surprised if Drake gets a verse on it. Hopefully, we get some information on that album sooner rather than later.

Let us know what you think of the Drake and J. Cole tour, in the comments section below. Have you had a chance to see a tour date and if so, which one? Joe Montana Poses For OVO X NFL Collab

Four-time Super Bowl champion Joe Montana has teamed up with Drake and the NFL. The Hall of Famer posed in a letterman jacket decked out in the Super Bowl LVIII colors. Furthermore, Montana – who is looking absolutely great at 67 – also donned a cream sweater bearing the OVO logo. The NFL and Drake’s fashion brand have teamed up several times now, with the letterman jacket being a play on an existing product customized by team. However, it’s unclear if the Super Bowl variant will be publicly available.

Montana was chosen due to his unique connection to Super Bowl LVIII. The two-time MVP played for just two teams during his career – the 49ers and the Chiefs. While he won all four of his Super Bowls in the Bay Area, he did led the Chiefs to the AFC Championship game during his first season in Kansas City. The Super Bowl takes place on February 11 in Las Vegas. The Chiefs are hoping to become the first repeat Super Bowl champions since the Patriots in 2005.

Drake Reveals How Much A Trip On His Private Jet Costs

However, collabing with the NFL is not the only thing that Drake has been up to lately. The rapper also recently revealed to Adin Ross how much people need to cough up to catch a ride on “Air Drake”, Drizzy’s luxury private jet. Per a dial-in to Ross’ recent stream, the rapper revealed that prospective passengers have to put $3M up to come aboard and jet set with him.

Air Drake is a customized Boeing 767-200 that Drizzy acquired through a commercial partnership with Cargojet. It features a sky blue and white livery designed by Drake’s late friend, Virgil Abloh. The fully customized interior has been likened to a five-star hotel and features at least three private suites and two living rooms. Drake and Cargojet entered into their arrangement in 2019. It has since appeared across Drake’s socials and in several of his music videos.

Birdman Reps The Saints As Part Of Drake’s OVO x NFL Collab

Birdman is someone who has repped for Louisiana quite a bit over the years. Overall, he has been a huge representative for Southern hip-hop, and he remains a powerful figure. Having said that, it should come as no surprise that he is a fan of the New Orleans Saints. The Saints are a team that has been around for a very long time. Moreover, they won a Super Bowl over a decade ago and have a fantastic history. For people in NOLA, the Saints are a very meaningful team, especially with how they rallied the city amid Hurricane Katrina.

Now, the Saints are part of the new OVO x NFL collaboration. This collaboration honors eight NFL teams with some incredible merch. This includes hoodies, shirts, and a gorgeous varsity jacket. The eight teams represented are the Saints, Kansas City Chiefs, New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers, Philadelphia Eagles, Atlanta Falcons, Seattle Seahawks, and the New England Patriots. Birdman got to wear the Saints gear, and in the image below, you can see he looks good in black and gold.

Birdman For OVO

Previously, we actually got to see Snoop Dogg in the Steelers merch. Furthermore, Action Bronson was the one to showcase the New York Jets jacket. Needless to say, Drake pulled out all of the stops for this new collaboration. At the end of the day, he has the pull to make stuff like that happen. You can’t help but be impressed by it.

These pieces are available now over at octobersveryown.com. They are all running out of stock fast, so you’re going to have to be fast in order to cop. Let us know what you think of this latest OVO drop, in the comments section below. Who should Drake’s brand collaborate with next? Drake Shows Love To Action Bronson With New NFL x OVO Collab

Drake and his OVO brand have done some very cool things over the years. Overall, one of their best collaborations has come with none other than NFL. This upcoming collaboration is set to come out later this week and will feature a plethora of varsity jackets relating to the teams in the league. So far, we have seen the Pittsburgh Steelers jacket, repped by none other than Snoop Dogg. Moreover, there is going to be a New York Jets jacket, and it was modeled by Action Bronson.

Bronson and Drake haven’t exactly communicated a lot in regards to the public eye. However, they are two men who are both entrenched in the hip-hop world. Consequently, it makes sense that they would eventually link up in one way or another. Below, you can see Bronson in the Jets jacket, and it is looking very good right now. OVO always comes through with some amazing collabs. However, they have clearly upped the ante with this latest one.

Drake x Action Bronson x OVO

According to HipHopDX, Drake ended up taking things a step further by reposting the photos of Bronson on his Instagram story. Moreover, he said that the rapper was one of his “favorite people.” Needless to say, these two have gotten to spend some time together. Drizzy is a student of the craft, and he is someone who listens to a whole plethora of different styles. Clearly, Bronson is someone who has inspired him along the way. Perhaps someday, we could get Bronson on a Drake album.

If you are interested in this collaboration, you will be able to cop these jackets as of Friday, December 15th, over at octobersveryown.com. Let us know what you think of the collection so far, in the comments section down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. Drake “For All The Dogs” Review

Drake has undergone a few transformations throughout his career but since 2018, it’s largely just been different hairstyles. Albums like Certified Lover Boy didn’t necessarily offer anything new from Drake, despite the amount of anticipation. What we didn’t expect from him, though, was that he’d be working like a racehorse in the subsequent years. He made a hard left turn on Honestly, Nevermind in a career defined by pop-adjacent hip-hop & R&B records. Meanwhile, Her Loss provided a new pocket that he mildly explored through snippets and efforts like Dark Lane Demo Tapes

From Certified Lover Boy To For All The Dogs

A post shared by champagnepapi (@champagnepapi)

Eight months after the release of Her Loss, Drake released his very first poetry book titled Titles Ruin Everything, where he announced For All The Dogs. “They say they miss the old Drake, girl don’t tempt me. For all the dogs,” he declared. His poetry book seemingly continued the thematic statement he established on Certified Lover Boy, which he described as “a combination of toxic masculinity and acceptance of truth which is inevitably heartbreaking.” It’s a 180 from Drake’s early career when he often earned reverence among feminist audiences for trying to speak to their emotions rather than commodify their bodies. But, in the same year that Future leaned into his toxic ways on I NEVER LIKED YOU, Drake seemingly took note. For Future, it was embracing a character that the Internet made him out to be, but for Drake, it stems from emptiness.

Across For All The Dogs, Drake basks in the money, the fame, and the glory as he always does, but his ability to speak candidly about relationships has evidently dissipated. He’s not falling in or out of love but rather trying to fill a void in his life that money or respect can’t necessarily buy him. Relationships and former love that once brought him a sense of purpose have been reduced to Birkin bag handouts and sugar daddy tendencies, which, in all fairness, he and Future established on “I’M ON ONE.”

The Same Ol’ Drake

That said, For All The Dogs feels like a moment in Drake’s career where he’s at a crossroads. His own fame has compromised the things that he once strived for in his personal life, and he’s evidently grappling with this reality. And at some points, it almost sounds like desperation. “Drew A Picasso” brings Drake’s stream-of-conscious writing to a moody midnight-esque soundscape intended for deep thoughts and late-night drives as he reflects on a woman who doesn’t necessarily value the social status and wealth that Drake could provide. It all comes together when he croons, “I can’t picture you with him/ That’s just so embarrassin’, I want to die.” It’s a close callback to the old Drake, the underdog whose glow-up inspired a generation of men to try and stunt on the women who once wrote them off in high school.

The problem is that it feels as though Drake hasn’t moved on, which is especially true on songs like “Fear Of Heights.” Contrastingly, “Fear Of Heights” comes through with the rugged and aggressive tone that has made Drake’s rap records feel riveting as of late. However, the perceived shots at Rihanna and ASAP Rocky feel too petty for a man who admittedly “had badder b*tches than you.” To make matters worse, he seemingly continues to address Pusha T five years after the masses declared the former G.O.O.D Music president the winner of their lyrical bout.

Bridging The Generational Gap

The moments where Drake seems to be looking ahead largely rely on the excellent list of collaborators he brought on board. It’s no secret that SZA stands as the current reigning queen of R&B. While “Slime You Out” failed to achieve the cultural impact that you’d expect from a song with both artists, they make up for it on the Sexyy Red-assisted “Rich Baby Daddy.” It’s Drake’s latest take on the resurgence of regional club music, laced with a diaphanous vocal sample, fierce synths, and an infectious hook, courtesy of the “Pound Town” hitmaker. Even still, the song devolves into heartbreak with Drake bellyaching over missed connections.

Then, there are artists like Yeat, who’ve become paramount figures of the new generation of rap, thanks to his warbling vocals and high-octane production. Yeat’s influence on Drake isn’t new, especially considering BNYX’s general rapport with Drake. And while BNYX’s hand on “Search & Rescue” transformed the song into a hit, it’s clear that Drake’s verbose bars can’t hang with Yeat’s vibes. Still, “IDGAF” remains one of the most exciting records on the tracklist.

For All The Dogs Highlights

Still, even with refreshing voices like Teezo Touchdown, Lil Yachty, or Chief Keef on the tracklist, there aren’t many rappers who seem to inspire Drake’s pen. “8 AM In Charlotte” felt misleading in its release ahead of the album. When “Slime You Out” failed to maintain a Top 10 spot on the Hot 100, “8 AM” felt like Drake was about to give us bars on For All The Dogs. Unfortunately, much like the majority of Drake’s catalog since 2015, it feels like he isn’t genuinely interested in standing among the game’s top lyricists but rather reminding people that he can rap every once in a while.

Still, J. Cole evidently put a battery in Drake’s back on “First Person Shooter.” With an all-star roster of producers attached to the song – Vinylz, Boi-1da, Tay Keith, FnZ, Oz, and Coleman – Drake and J Cole emerge over triumphant production with boastful bars and the braggadocious rights that they once worked towards when collaborating on songs like “In The Morning” or “Jodeci Freestyle.” It’s a celebratory anthem that feels as monumental as the weight of the names they carry.

A Generational Talent At A Crossroad

Drake’s biggest issue of his career is that he’s too versatile. Noah “40” Shebib once explained that his musical counterpart has a wide demographic he tries to cater to on each album. Perhaps that’s the biggest issue with Drake’s catalog these past few years. He’s been throwing paint at a wall through bloated tracklists, knowing that at least something will stick without trying to establish definitive bodies of work in his catalog.

Besides Honestly, Nevermind, Drake hasn’t committed to one sound that he could expound on further. Ultimately, that’s the biggest downfall of For All The Dogs. He doesn’t differentiate between welcoming the next generation of stars as an OG or trying to stand next to them as peers. There are moments that emphasize why the “Old Drake” resonates with his audience. Still, even so, he’s at an intersection in his career that fails to distinguish how For All The Dogs is any different than his previous bodies of work, nor does it look beyond the instant gratification of Billboard records and social media chatter. With his pending hiatus, For All The Dogs should close out a long-winded chapter in his career—one that turned him into a generational star who can be mentioned in the same breath as Michael Jackson, if only for the accolades and chart success.

Is Bad Bunny Signed To Drake?

Bad Bunny’s relationship status with Kendall Jenner was recently all but confirmed via Gucci’s Valigeria campaign, and now people are questioning his professional ties to Drake. Bad Bunny is a featured artist on “Gently,” one of the 23 tracks comprising Drake’s freshly released For All The Dogs album, but their alignment might run much deeper than that.

According to Birdman on the Clubhouse app (as relayed by HotNewHipHop), Bad Bunny has secretly been signed to Drake’s OVO imprint since “day one.” The clip is being circulated online by the likes DJ Akademiks and No Jumper. In it, Birdman said, “Bad Bunny already signed to Drake. Y’all just [didn’t] know it.” It should be noted that the only source on this possibility to this point is Birdman’s word, and no offense whatsoever to Birdman, but it should probably be treated as a rumor until there is official confirmation either way — if ever.

Before For All The Dogs, Bad Bunny and Drake collaborated to make 2018’s “Mia,” performing it together during the Miami stop of Drake’s Aubrey And The Three Migos Tour. Drake and PartyNextDoor also welcomed Benito on a remix of “Loyal” in 2020. Drake name-checked Bad Bunny on his Her Loss track “Major Distribution” last November, which Bad Bunny appreciated.

Most recently, this August, Bad Bunny attended one of Drake’s It’s All A Blur Tour shows at Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, where Drake teased what we now know to be “Gently” (as captured by Billboard at the time). And while Drake is in a post-album glow, Bad Bunny might be gearing up to release an album seemingly titled Nadie Sabe.

Birdman Claims Drake Signed Bad Bunny To OVO Since “Day One”

Drake continues to be the talk of the town after his latest album For All The Dogs. The record has been hotly debated by listeners and other celebrities in social media circles. One of those is Joe Budden and that is a whole other subplot around the LP’s release. Now, we have another one surrounding Drake. However, this one includes Bad Bunny and Birdman. How did this all happen? Well, let us run down the details and background for you. As for some basic information, Bad Bunny made an appearance on For All The Dogs, teaming up with Drizzy for “Gently.”

On top of that collaboration, they also brought the Latin summer vibes to “MIA,” which came out back in 2018. That song and this latest one are a combination of Drake’s label OVO, and Bunny’s, Rimas Entertainment. However, Birdman firmly believes that Bunny has been with The Boy since the beginning. The Cash Money label leader chopped it up with Wack 100 about all sorts of things, one of which being Bunny and Drake’s relationship.

A post shared by No Jumper 🏀 (@nojumper)

Throughout the clip provided by No Jumper, Birdman continues to claim that the Latin rapper and singer signed with OVO at the start of his career. “Bad Bunny already signed to Drake,” he says. “Y’all just don’t know it.” This would be a true shock if this rings true. But, as of now, he is official with Rimas, separate from Drake, and neither has came out publicly to confirm Birdman’s statement.

What are your initial thoughts on Birdman saying Bad Bunny has been signed under Drake’s OVO label since his career began? Why do you believe he is saying this? Lil Yachty Said Drake’s Never Sounded More Drunk Than On OVO Sound 42 Last Night

Lil Yachty and Drake have quite the close bond, and it’s no longer novel, surprising, or remarkable to say so. After all, following multiple collaborations, interviews, praise towards each other on social media, and much more, it’s clear that they’re a bit of a duo these days. Moreover, the Atlanta creative helped produce a lot of material on the 6 God’s newly released album For All The Dogs, However, it’s clear that they work hard, but it’s also pretty apparent that they play hard. There have been a lot of sleepless nights, club outings, and the like… but apparently, none of those compare to how drunk Drizzy got last night.

Furthermore, he premiered a new episode of his show Table For One on OVO Sound Radio and Sound 42. In it, the Toronto rapper played a lot of material, including a Lil Yachty song that many fans falsely thought took aim at Lil Uzi Vert. But the most notable part of the 36-year-old’s on-air appearance- for Lil Boat, at least- was that Drake had apparently never sounded more drunk to his ears. In the hilarious clip below, you can hear them going back and forth when the Quality Control artist called in.

Drake Has Never Sounded More Drunk Than On Sound 42 Last Night, Yachty Believes

Specifically, it seems like Lil Yachty came to that conclusion after Drake sang “Car Wash” quite weakly. Also, there was a lot of stuttering, “uhm”s and “ah”s, and slurred delivery that indicated that he was having a bit too much fun. Regardless of all that, though, the “8AM In Charlotte” MC told Yachty that he wasn’t even drunk. Instead, he was just simply really excited and having a great time… but haven’t we all heard that one from our friends at 2AM before?

Jokes aside, it’s heartening to hear these titans speak and appreciate each other as they continue their star-studded and prolific journey as artists together. Given that Drizzy’s apparently taking a break from music for a while, maybe we won’t hear them on wax together for a long time. All we can hope for the two is that they have many more fun nights together. On that note, check back in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Drake and Lil Yachty.

Drake Debuts His Country Accent While Touring Houston Home: Watch

Drake always reps the city of Toronto to the fullest, but that doesn’t mean he can’t show love to other areas that raised him, in a way. Moreover, those familiar with his’s early career know that Houston played a large role in his come-up, not just regarding stylistic and artistic inspiration, but also in terms of some of his earliest mentors like Bun B being from there. Now, the 6 God found a home in the city to stay at when he’s not in Toronto, and recently showed it off. Not only that, but he also showed off his best “country” accent to really get into the Texas atmosphere.

“Me and my partner, we done gone country on ya’ll, mane,” Drake remarked in a video in what looks like a golf cart with a friend. “We said we was going to do it for a lot of years. We doing it today. The sale is made, for sure. They said 10 horses belong to the property and four of them are boarding horses. People need a nice place for their horse to stay. Yeah, buddy, yeah, buddy. You got to drop a new one for this. If you see your girl at the Lover Boy Lane, it’s over.”

Drake Goes Full “Country” While Showing Off New Houston Property

Of course, this voice harkens back to when Drake was fully in his Southern bag on projects like Thank Me Later. As such, maybe it’s not too surprising for hardcore fans to hear his drawl like this, and we can imagine it’ll only get stronger. In addition, let’s not forget that the 36-year-old is known for his many voices, for better or worse. From dancehall patois to U.K. drill “tings,” he’s drawn as much admiration and clowning for his “impressions.” We’ll see how many of those show up on For All The Dogs.

Meanwhile, it’s at least nice to see that the OVO mogul finally achieved a longtime goal. With the resources and finances at his disposal, we can assume that he wanted to find the perfect spot in the city to call his second home. Regardless, we’ll see how long it takes for Drizzy to say “Howdy” to no end. On that note, stick around on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Drake.

Drake Gifts BBL Specialist Custom OVO Scrubs

Drake’s love for Houston holds no barriers but his recent trip to H-Town made him look like Santa Claus on Christmas Eve. The Canadian rapper delivered incredible back-to-back performances at the Toyota Center. At one point, the rapper gifted a fan a luxury bag, which has been a common theme throughout his career. Then, he found another fan who apparently attended several nights on his tour. As a token of his appreciation, he offered the fan a VIP experience at his Atlanta concert, along with a first-class ticket and $10,000 cash.

However, it’s evident that his appreciation for Houstonians extends beyond those who spent their hard-earned cash to see him perform. His connection with the city runs deep, as we saw when he pulled up to Bun B’s Trill Burger and later, showed his gratitude to UGK, Slim Thug, Paul Wall, and other H-Town representatives who left an indelible mark on the culture. Still, before his performance in Charlotte, NC this weekend, he had to pay a visit to one man who “made these beautiful ladies’ dreams come true.”

Drake Pays A Visit To BBL Specialist Dr. Calvin Jung

Drake paid a visit to Dr. Calvin Jung, a renowned BBL specialist, before leaving Houston. Dr. Jung shared a video to his TikTok page alongside Drake who delivered a suitcase filled with new work attire. “Custom OVO Jung Money scrubs,” the doctor said. “I had to get him right with the Jung Money scrubs,” Drake added. “It’s only right. Appreciate you showing love all these years. Making these beautiful ladies’ dreams come true.” Drizzy added that the suitcase had basically every size imaginable.

There’s a strong possibility that Drake and Dr. Jung, who is also a Canadian, might be hanging out more often in the future. The Her Loss rapper revealed that he’s moving to Houston during his second night at the Toyota Center. “I’m excited I get to share this with night two. I had to make it official first. I’ve been looking for a long time. Trying to figure out, you know, the right place for me to live where I belong outside of Toronto. I finally, finally, after all these years, found me a place in Houston, Texas. So y’all will be seeing me a lot, yeah!” Check out Drake’s visit to Dr. Jung above.
