OJ Simpson’s Estate Is Reportedly In Shambles Trying To Settle His Debts

The executor of OJ Simpson’s estate is reportedly desperately trying to come up with the funds to pay off numerous creditors the late NFL legend owed money to before his death. Malcolm LaVergne, who served as Simpson’s longtime lawyer, told TMZ on Tuesday that he’s trying to get $269,000 from one of Simpson’s homes to come up with the money. However, he’s dealing with “strong resistance” to his efforts to do so.

LaVergne says Simpson’s son, Justin, whose mother was Nicole Brown Simpson, helped him purchase the Las Vegas home back in 2022. He estimates they put $159K into the home, which has helped to significantly increase the value. Regardless, it’s still a small step in covering the $30 million judgment for Simpson’s murder case and a massive tax lien that still needs to be paid. While he was famously acquitted of the murders of his ex-wife and Ron Goldman, he was still found liable in a Santa Monica civil court. Apparently the unpaid interest on the judgment has increased the amount to upwards of $100 million. As for the tax lien, it amounts to $500,000.

LaVergne is hoping to get permission to sell some of OJs other belongings as well. One item LaVergne is looking for to help him with the debts is OJ’s missing Pro Football Hall of Fame ring. He told TMZ that it “belongs to the estate and I want it placed at my feet.” Additionally, there’s a particularly valuable Rolex watch that should fetch a steep price.

OJ passed away back in April after a battle with cancer. He was 76 years old. Be on the lookout for further updates on OJ Simpson and his estate on HotNewHipHop.

Cam’ron Dresses Like OJ Simpson For Fourth Of July Celebration

Cam’ron is no stranger to controversy. His career has been littered with bold actions and statements, and Fourth of July proved to be a textbook example. The rapper attended a Fourth of July costume party in Las Vegas, and dressed up as none other than OJ Simpson. Cam’ron went the whole nine yards with the costume, too. He donned a complete football uniform, complete with helmet and Simpson’s name on the back of the jersey. Cam even posted a video of him wearing the outfit on Instagram.

“OJ was here!!!! Happy INDEPENDENCE DAY,” he wrote in the caption. “This ain’t really Our holiday.. But it Feels good not to have to answer to nobody!! #FreeN**ga #IIWII.” Anybody familiar with Cam’ron and Mase’s podcast It Is What It Is knows that the rapper was very close to OJ Simpson. The latter regularly appeared on the podcast to provide sports takes and make general small talk. Simpson’s death in April hit both Cam’ron and Mase hard. The duo even reflected on Simpson’s legacy during an episode of the podcast.

Cam’ron made it very clear that he came to look upon OJ like a member of his family. “I just wanna say it was great working with OJ,” he noted. “He’ll truly be missed and I love him like a real, real uncle so I’m really sorry this happened. At the end of the day, I’m glad that we did get to spend the last few months with him.” Cam’ron and Mase’s decision to have Simpson on the podcast, despite his controversial past, was criticized by many. Both rappers defended Simpson publicly, and asserted that he was found not guilty of the crimes he was accused of back in 1995.

Cam’ron, in particular, claimed that he did not think Simpson was a criminal. If he did, he would have not had him on the podcast. “Look, if he was guilty we wouldn’t have him on the show,” the rapper explained to Complex. He then posited that the continued criticisms of Simpson was due to his race. “Y’all want to keep convicting an innocent man. He’s innocent. If it was somebody else whiter, y’all would say ‘oh he’s innocent.’”

Whether on his It Is What It Is podcast with friend and co-host Mase or on wax, Cam’ron is known to ruffle a few feathers. Yesterday (July 4), the “What You Did” showed way.

In a video uploaded to his personal Instagram page, to celebrate Independence Day, Cam’ron decided to dress up as the late O.J. Simpson.

“OJ was here,” he wrote. “Happy Independence Day! This ain’t really our holiday… But it feels good not to have to answer to nobody!”

To the outside looking in, it may seem odd, but the pair have a relationship well before Simpson’s passing. For weeks before his death, Simpson would appear on his podcast to share his thoughts on trending sports topics, so during a taping, Cam’ron passed respect to the former football player.

“I used to go f*ck with O.J. off the show, when there wasn’t no show,” he said. “I’d go to the bar and meet him, we’d go to lunch. And people where we stay at loved O. They really, really loved O.J.. I just want to say it was great working with O.J., he’ll truly be missed. And I love him like a real, real uncle, man. So I’m really sorry this happened. But at the end of the day, I’m glad that we did get to spend the last few months with him, at least one day out the week for me, minimum.”

OJ Simpson FBI File Has Been Released, Agents Went To Italy To Study Shoes For His Infamous Case

Agents went to great pains to examine the shoeprint found at the murder scene, according to O.J. Simpson’s FBI file, which was just made public. Numerous documents, most of which deal with O.J.’s acquittal in the notorious 1994 murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson, are among the thousands of records that the feds dumped on the late football player on Friday. FBI agents testified at the time on a shoeprint found in the ground. The shoe was matched to a Bruno Magli shoe. However, the process of looking into it is now available in full through this file, and it is evident that they dug deep.

The federal authorities traveled to Italy to examine fake footwear, and from the images included in the case, it is evident that they thoroughly studied dimensions and forensics. FBI agents were closely examining the bottoms of two different versions of the BM shoe that were available for purchase in the United States at the time since it was found that the murderer had worn those shoes on that tragic night, which was quite uncommon. You can see that the FBI examined shoeprints to compare them with those discovered at the murder scene by looking through a complete list of all of Bruno Magli’s stores in the United States. O.J. O.J. Simpson FBI File Gives More Information on Infamous Case

Additionally, it’s noteworthy that the federal government is deleting his information as the 30-year milestone draws near. O.J. Simpson passed away from prostate cancer earlier this year.

A few months prior to his death, O.J. Simpson received a prostate cancer diagnosis, and he was currently undergoing chemotherapy. Nevertheless, he passed away from the disease. The family said they were all around him when he passed away in a message posted on his Twitter account. Just a few moments ago, this declaration was made. There are currently limited details available regarding the course of his illness or the point at which things became worse. Furthermore, Simpson had largely kept his battle quiet for months. Overall, more information about Simpson is sure to come out of the files being released.

OJ Simpson’s Estate Gets Hit With Massive Tax Lien

When he was alive, O.J. Simpson avoided giving millions of dollars to the families of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. It appears that he is still doing so from beyond the dead, avoiding paying them once again. Although Malcolm LaVergne, O.J.’s longtime attorney and current administrator of his estate, stated that he planned to discuss finances with Ron and Nicole’s respective families, he claims that an unanticipated tax bill is posing a new challenge.

Malcolm revealed to TMZ that Simpson’s estate is subject to a $572,402.69 hefty tax lien from the state of California. Malcolm claims this might jeopardize his plans to partially pay O.J. owes the families of his victims $33.5 million from the 1997 wrongful death case. O.J. was judged responsible for Nicole and Ron’s deaths in a Santa Monica civil court despite being cleared of all charges during his murder trial. Despite the $33.5 million judgment, interest on the outstanding debt has reportedly increased to $100 million.

O.J Simpson’s Estate Must Pay Tax Lien

Malcolm reports that earlier this month in his Las Vegas office, his attorney met with the Goldman family. Additionally, he met with an assignee for Ron’s mother, Sharon Rufo, who put her rights to the judgment up for auction. He alleges a spokesman for Nicole’s estate did not come up, despite being invited. They reportedly looked into O.J. Simpson’s bank accounts, 401(k) plan, tax records, and more. The Goldman attorney and Sharon’s representative were informed that they would be let inside the estate with the goal of fulfilling their judgments.

It’s not clear when this will happen, though. Malcolm says he’s still looking at the estate’s value, particularly in light of the tax lien. He claims that the $500K debt took him off guard. He alleges he may have to file a lawsuit to resolve it before “it wipes out any idea I had in my head to pay Goldman something,” though it “would be nice.” Overall, even though O.J. Simpson is gone, his massive legal and pop-cultural legacy is still in the news.

Nicole Brown Simpson “Always Knew” OJ Would Hurt Her, Family Alleges

Last month, the family of OJ Simpson took to Twitter/X to announce that he had succumbed to prostate cancer. A Personal Look Through Family & Friends

For the first time, Nicole Brown Simpson’s sisters Denise, Dominique, and Tanya, along with her closest friends, come forward to share their memories and stories. These personal accounts aim to humanize Nicole, moving beyond the tragic circumstances of her death to celebrate her life and legacy. The documentary features 50 participants, including those who knew her best, providing a deeply personal and heartfelt narrative.

The Brown sisters expressed their hope that sharing Nicole’s story will help others recognize the signs of abuse and get the help they need. They hope that her legacy will continue to live on through this documentary, providing both a cautionary tale and a tribute to Nicole’s memory.

The Brown Sisters Break Their Silence

When O.J. Simpson passed away at the age of 76 due to cancer, Tanya, Dominique, and Denise Brown told PEOPLE that they had complex and conflicting emotions. Dominique expressed that the situation was “very complicated,” while Tanya saw it as the conclusion of a long and difficult period, acknowledging O.J.’s harmful influence on their family. The sisters reminisced about their early encounters with O.J. in the late 1970s, noting both his initial charm and later volatility. Denise recounted a specific incident after a football game where O.J.’s jealousy turned a happy occasion into distress for Nicole. Despite Nicole’s hope that motherhood would change things for the better, O.J.’s behavior only grew more abusive.

The sisters’ recollections of Nicole’s tumultuous relationship with O.J. are detailed in a new Lifetime documentary series, *The Life & Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson*. This series sheds light on the extent of O.J.’s violence, which Tanya fully grasped only during his murder trial through disturbing evidence. Denise’s immediate conviction of O.J.’s guilt when she learned of Nicole’s death was later substantiated by DNA evidence. However, Dominique refrains from discussing her thoughts on O.J.’s culpability to protect her niece and nephew. The sisters also fondly remember Nicole’s brief period of happiness and independence following her divorce in 1992. Dominique values the memory of Nicole’s newfound freedom and joy, and Tanya finds solace in the fact that Nicole enjoyed the last two years of her life, despite the subsequent tragedy.

Cam’ron Blasts Caitlyn Jenner For Brutal OJ Simpson Tweet

Cam’ron went after Caitlyn Jenner during the latest episode of his and Mase’s It Is What It Is show. After the NFL legend passed away at the age of 76, earlier this week, Jenner wrote on Twitter: “Good Riddance.” Simpson was a controversial figure for decades following the infamous 1995 acquittal for the murder of his ex-wife and one of her friends. Despite this, he made frequent appearances on Cam and Mase’s show.

“I don’t understand how n****s is still convicting n****s [when] they won the case,” Cam said on Friday. “I seen muthafuckin’ Caitlyn Jenner write some sh*t — ‘Good riddance.’ Caitlyn Jenner, you killed n****s in Calabasas [while] talking ’bout paparazzi was chasing you. And you was Bruce! Nothing to do with transgender sh*t or nothing like that, but I’m just trying to say the paparazzi wasn’t on Bruce to where you had to be running to kill n****s. You ain’t Princess Di[ana], n***a. The fuck you mean the paparazzi was on you, n***a?”

Cam concluded: “You killed n****s and you paid n****s $800,000 because you was wrong. If you wasn’t wrong, you would’ve fought it. You killed n****s, admitted to killing n****s and then paid n****s becasue you killed n****s.” He was referencing the 2015 car crash Jenner was involved in that claimed one life. Cam’ron And Mase Pay Tribute To OJ Simpson: “Thank You Uncle O”

Cam’ron and Mase have rebranded themselves as podcasters. The titans of New York rap have found tremendous success with their sports talk show It Is What It Is, and part of their success stemmed from their ability to book huge guests. The first guest they ever booked? O.J. Simpson. The controversial NFL star was actually one of the most frequent co-hosts on It Is What It Is, which meant his recent passing at age 76 hit the show hard. Cam and Mase took to Instagram to pay their respects.

The duo posted a montage of It Is What It Is episodes featuring O.J. Simpson, along with a caption that expressed their sadness. “We just want to say thank you to Uncle O for gracing us with your presence,” they wrote. “You were definitely one of a kind, you became Uncle O to use cause it was like having a real uncle around. You were very funny and down to Earth.” Cam and Mase then detailed the circumstances in which they first linked up with Simpson. Unbeknownst to longtime listeners, the “Juice” was one of the first co-hosts that were ever considered for the show.

“When we signed our deal the first co-host we thought about having was Uncle O,” they revealed. “We said oh we gone break the internet with #OJ and that we did. You helped make our show 10x better and everyone loved you.” Cam’ron and Mase concluded their heartfelt message by giving thanks to Simpson for his insight and his willingness to poke fun at himself. “We will cherish these last memories we were able to share with you,” the duo added. “You will forever be apart of the It Is What It Is family.”

Unsurprisingly, the episode of It Is What It Is that aired April 12 (two days after Simpson’s passing) was dedicated to him. Cam’ron, Mase, Treasure “Stat Baby” Wilson and special guest Maurice Clarett spoke at length about the NFL star’s impact on the show. They also praised his sports acumen and his ability to speak candidly and convincingly on the subject of football.

O.J. Simpson’s family confirmed his death via X (formerly Twitter). They are asking that the public “respect their wishes for privacy and grace” at this time.

Is OJ Simpson Khloe Kardashian’s Dad? Reality Starlet’s Name Comes Up Amid Athlete’s Death

OJ Simpson’s passing on Wednesday (April 10) is sad news, though not everyone agrees why. Some are mourning the loss of an incredible football player, while others are disappointed that we may never truly know whether he killed his ex-wife. Along with that mystery, there’s also the rumours of Simpson being the father of Khloe Kardashian, which are resurfacing online after his death. As you may recall, the gossip began spreading over a decade ago, after Kris Jenner spoke about cheating on her late ex-husband, Robert Kardashian. It’s since been addressed on the famous family’s KUWTK reality show, though not everyone is convinced the moment was authentic.

As Us Weekly notes, after separating from Jenner, the Kardashian patriarch married Jan Ashley before his 2003 death. In 2012, she claimed that Robert told her that Khloe (his and Kris’ third child) isn’t biologically his. “Khloe is not his kid — he told me that after we got married,” Ashley previously alleged. “He just kind of looked at me and said [it] like it was a matter of fact. He said, ‘Well, you know that Khloé’s not really a Kardashian, don’t you? And I said … ‘OK,’ and that was it.” Because the late lawyer worked on Simpson’s defense team, connections between him and Jenner quickly arose.

However, the former NFLer has said that the 68-year-old wasn’t his type back in the day. “I always thought Kris was a cute girl. She was really nice, but I was dating supermodels,” he said on the Full Send podcast in 2022. When asked about the Good American founder allegedly being his daughter, Simpson added, “The rumour ain’t true. It’s not even anywhere close to being true.”

All the feuds taking place between our favourite rappers this spring has made social media a chaotic but entertaining environment. Now, OJ Simpson’s death is adding to the mix as reactions continue to pour in.
