After New Year’s Eve, Cardi B revealed that she and Offset, from whom she recently separated, got physical on NYE, saying during a live broadcast, “Was I clubbing with my baby father yesterday? Yes. Did I got dicked down yesterday? Absolutely, baby. Y’all can use your roles on New Year’s Eve; I need some dick on New Year’s Eve. I feel like we was vibing yesterday, we had a good time. We was Henny’d down. We was both in the same club and it was just really awkward. Like, I’m in my section, he’s in his section. It’s like, ‘Man, just f*ckin’ come over here, let’s just chill, we having a good time.’”

So, that begs the question:

Is Cardi B still married to Offset?

Legally, it looks like it, yes. No reports of any divorce paperwork being filed appear to have surfaced, so unless they’ve managed to keep divorce proceedings under the radar, the two appear to still be legally married.

During the aforementioned broadcast, Cardi appeared to not close the door on a reconciliation, saying, “But I feel at the point of where we at in our relationship, we’ve been together for seven years, we’ve been married for seven years. I don’t consider that we’re back together because the answer of getting back together is not a good night at the club and f*cking the night long. We need to work on our sh*t, we need to work on our communication. There’s things that he gotta work on, there’s things that I gotta work on. And I feel like until we work that out, I don’t feel like we’re back together.”

In December, Cardi B declared that she and Offset had broken up. Still, they found themselves in the same place on New Year’s Eve, one thing led to another, and the two ended up getting intimate.

In a post-NYE broadcast, Cardi explained:

“Was I clubbing with my baby father yesterday? Yes. Did I got dicked down yesterday? Absolutely, baby. Y’all can use your roles on New Year’s Eve; I need some dick on New Year’s Eve. Cardi B revealed that she suffered through her New Year’s Eve performances. Cardi was booked for both an appearance at Fountainebleau and Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve.

“I am so sick,” Cardi said. “I don’t understand because when I was in New York, I was going out with sweaters, toes out, everything.”

She added, “My chest started getting tight. Bro, I’ve been fighting for three days and I have a huge performance later. Huge performance. Like, alright, I get that it’s New Year’s but I have this huge performance and I’m fighting, fighting.”

Cardi B and Offset might be battling in their relationship, but they turned Miami up.

Reports of a rocky period in Cardi B and Offset’s marriage have dominated the headlines for the better part of the past month. It started when fans uncovered that the pair had unfollowed each other on Instagram, but nothing since then has been clear. During an Instagram live responding to the rumors Cardi poured gasoline on the flame when she described herself as “single.” She doubled down later on when she took shots at her husband during a night out just before the holidays.

Now, things may not be as rocky as they seemed after all. It started when the pair spent Christmas together and fans began to suspect that the turbulence in their relationship was being over-exaggerated. It was early last month that eagle-eyed fans online realized Cardi B and her husband Offset had unfollowed each other on Instagram. Normally that’s a pretty damning sign that things aren’t going particularly well. But in the weeks since there’s been a variety of different signs coming from the pair.

Cardi herself has been far more vocal on the matter. The rumors absolutely erupted when she went on Instagram live and described herself as single. They got even more potent when video of her taking shots at Offset publicly started to make the rounds a week later. Despite the drama, the pair spent Christmas together and remained book for the same venue on New Year’s Eve. Cardi B is not holding back about her thoughts on the reconciliation rumors that have recently surrounded her and Offset. During a recent Twitter space, she called out fans who were spreading it, according to HipHopDX. This started from the two spending Christmas together with their two children, and then being reportedly spotted grabbing food in Manhattan.

Yet, Cardi is making it very clear that they are in fact, still separated.

“Shut the f*ck up!” she said. “Bout to delete my whole social media because y’all don’t shut the f*ck up. And it’s the same f*ckin’ dumb—my own f*ckin’ fan base. The last time I got dragged was because my f*ckin’ fan base. I don’t see nobody talking sh*t but my own f*ckin’ fan base.”

“Sh*t is f*cking annoying,” Cardi added. “For f*ckin’ three days, y’all been doing the same sh*t. Did I say I was back together with somebody? I say that? Did ya heard that? Did I say it? Did he say it? No!”

Over the past few weeks, Cardi has continued to live her best life, even after she called out Offset on social media — which confirmed the two had split once again.

Cardi B & Offset Hit Up New York City To Spend Time Together After Breakup

Cardi B and Offset apparently hit up New York City together recently, at least based on some fan pics that social media sleuths tied together. Moreover, a fan took a photo with each of them at an undisclosed store on Thursday (December 28) and posted them both, and they appeared separately, of course. It seems like, amid their breakup, they still don’t want to appear together in such a public way… or this was just a wild coincidence and both rappers were in the Big Apple on their own paths. In addition, fans also confirmed via other pictures and their fits in them that this all apparently happened the same day.

Furthermore, this comes just a couple of days after Cardi B seemed to suggest that she and Offset aren’t getting back together anytime soon. Many fans expressed wishes for this to happen online, but she liked a tweet suggesting that they’re getting their hopes up. Regardless, it’s at least heartening to see that they apparently can still hang out together and will likely maintain a pretty amicable relationship. It’s unlikely that they’ll be able to address this via their music anytime soon, but we wouldn’t be surprised if Bardi’s next album cycle references this in some way.

What’s more is that this isn’t the first time that the “JEALOUSY” duo seemingly reunited after their split. While this instance is still pretty unconfirmed, it was quite wholesome to see the family get together for Christmas. Offset and Cardi B have a lot to take care of and nurture, much of which they’ve built together, so it’s important for them to still support each other if possible. They don’t need to be super chummy, but they have done too much to lose all the spark they had.

Meanwhile, they still have to deal with a lot of other things together that aren’t as fulfilling. For example, the couple received a lawsuit over allegedly unpaid rent and property damage. As such, they will likely continue to stick around each other in the near future, and hopefully a new and healthy bond can emerge from the ashes of another. Offset rewarded everyone for their patience in October. He finally released Set It Off, his sophomore solo LP and followup to 2019’s Father Of 4. The album was well-received, making Uproxx’s “Best Album Of 2023” list and peaking at No. 5 on the Billboard 200. Unfortunately, headlines have not been about Offset’s music since early December, overtaken by salacious rumors and Cardi B, his wife of five years, confirming she had “been single for a minute now.”

Most recently, Cardi and Offset spent Christmas together but don’t appear to be reconciling. Is it anyone’s business? Nope. Will people continue to pry? Yup. So, understandably, Offset is trying to steer the focus away from his personal life.

Is Offset Dropping New Music?

On Wednesday, December 27, Offset teased new music on X (formerly Twitter). First, the former Migos rapper posted a portrait alongside “Studio mode.” Six hours later, he posted another photo of himself — this time, wearing a gas mask with a very swanky tuxedo — with the message, “War zone ….. [three musical notes emojis].” And one hour after that, Offset made it even more explicitly clear that he’s working on something, writing, “New music…. [several musical notes emojis].”

So, after the exhaustive investigative reporting of scrolling Offset’s X (Twitter!) account, I can confirm that he’s working on new music. He probably has a lot to get off his chest. Will he drop new music anytime soon? Who knows. But something tells me we won’t have to wait another four years.
