After news broke of Cardi B’s impending divorce from Offset, fans can’t help but wonder if he’s the reason for Cardi’s recently revealed third pregnancy.

According to Page Six, which broke the news of the divorce, the couple has “grown apart,” per one source, which added, “They both have been trying to figure out what their future looks like for a while now. It’s not something that happened overnight… They’ve both been on the same page… They’ve grown apart, and that feeling has gotten stronger overtime. It’s become unavoidable.”

However, today, rather than addressing that news, Cardi posted a baby bump photo on Instagram. In the caption, she wrote, “With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power! Reminded me that I can have it all! You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion! I love you so much and can not wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do! It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns and test laying down, but you, your brother and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!”

But that doesn’t give any information about whether Offset is the third child’s father, or whether Cardi found a new beau in the time since announcing that she has “been single for a while now.” She did admit that the two did sleep together since then, so it’s entirely possible that Offset is the father, and that they have agreed to co-parent while remaining split up.

Rap fans were hit with a case of déjà vu today, as it was reported that Cardi B had once again filed for divorce from her husband, Offset. Cardi later revealed that she was also pregnant again, leaving fans to wonder if Offset was also this child’s father or if Cardi had moved on (we really might never get that second album, y’all). Since it’s been a while since the last time we did one of these, here’s another timeline of the couple’s tumultuous relationship:

February 2017 — Cardi B And Offset Start Dating

Cardi and Offset were first seen together at the Super Bowl, sparking the initial speculation about their relationship. They later confirmed that this was their first official date.

August 2017 — Offset Reportedly Proposes To Cardi B In Private

Just six months after this, Cardi posted — then deleted — what appeared to be confirmation that Offset had proposed, and she had accepted.

October 2017 — Offset Publicly Proposes To Cardi B At Powerhouse Philadelphia

Whether the couple was officially engaged at this point or not, Offset made it public when he proposed to Cardi in front of a sold-out crowd at Powerhouse Philadelphia. It was later revealed that the couple had been married for around a month at this point, which they did in a private ceremony at home.

December 2018: Cardi B Breaks Up With Offset For The First Time

We’ll call this the first time, since their October 2017 “break up” lasted all of a day. Offset was accused of cheating on Cardi with an employee at a strip club, and Cardi was accused of having the woman beaten up by her entourage, leading to a lawsuit. However, after Offset crashed Cardi’s Rolling Loud set to apologize, their relationship continued, and things seemed settled — at least, for a while.

September 2020: Cardi Files For Divorce For The First Time

It looked like the couple had called it quits for good when Cardi filed for divorce during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, but after a few more grand gestures from Offset, they seemed to be once again firmly ensconced in the throes of marital bliss.

December 2023: Cardi B Breaks Up With Offset Again

During a livestream with fans last December, Cardi confirmed that she had broken up with Offset for the third (or fourth) time, although it seemed they were still spending time together and Cardi admitted to spinning the block out of loneliness.

While the two were together at such events as the Met Gala, it seems that the relationship could well and truly be over this time — but maybe we’ll start working on the next timeline draft, just in case.

Today (August 1), Cardi B confirmed she is pregnant with her third baby. This follows pregnancy rumors that started surfacing in June.

Sharing an Instagram post featuring two photos showing off her baby bump, Cardi wrote, “With every ending comes a new beginning! The baby news quickly follows reports that Cardi has filed for divorce from Offset, the father of her two other children, son Wave Set (2.5 years old) and daughter Kulture Kiari (6).

In a May interview with Rolling Stone, Cardi spoke about her relationship with Offset, saying, “The part I love is that we really like each other, like a support system. We’re really both each other’s cheerleader. I don’t really like talking to people. I’m not as social. If I want something from somebody, he’ll be the one that will talk. Because I don’t like asking.”

Cardi B has decided to keep details about her marriage with Offset, offline. So, when whispers about their union grow louder, you shouldn’t expect to hear a peep from her. However, the “Enough (Miami)” rapper absolutely won’t stand for rumors about her financial status.

Today (July 29), a gossip page learned this the hard way after Cardi B clapped back at one of its post. In the upload, the platform claimed that she could no longer afford the martial mansion she shares with Offset.

“LMAOOO,” she wrote. “You bum b*tches wish… Me and Offset bought that house in 2019 for 5 million now it’s worth 7. Check the Atlanta market. And no, we not selling it… and if I ever sold it I would just sell my part to Offset since he loves Atlanta. Throwing salt on my home? Hating bad.”

Users online chimed in with mixed reactions to Cardi B’s post. Overwhelmingly, supporters scolded the entertainer for addressing an account without much of a following.

“Girl, this page got 100 follows, why do u care with they say bout u? Nobody believes in they,” wrote one user.

Others applauded Cardi’s actions, given how quickly false information can spread online.

“I actually love that you acknowledge fake news too, because so many people are quick to believe anything they see online despite the questionable source,” penned another.

Lately, Cardi B hasn’t let any perceived mud-slinging go without clapping back, just ask Ice Spice or Joe Budden. So, this fiery post shouldn’t come as a surprise.
